"That weird nun just poured pure sugar in my candy bucket! She said she hopes my teeth fall out," Henry ran back to Emma and Regina to show them that all his candy was now dusted with sugar.

Grinning Jack-o-Lanterns, orange lights, blow up witches and cardboard grave markers lined the streets and yards of Storybrooke. Emma had parked the car and now they were walking up and down the neighborhood streets making sure to hit up all the nicest houses for candy. A chilly stinging wind blew the fallen leaves, causing Emma to shiver in her dress as she rustled along.

Regina had the forethought to retrieve a blanket from the trunk of the car and now draped it over both she and Emma's shoulders. She could be quite thoughtful at times, and Emma warmed right up when Regina wrapped her arm around her waist and pulled her snugly against her body.

They hung back slightly as the kids ran ahead, until they reached Mr. Gold's house. The children were debating who would be the one to knock when Gold came out and dropped toothbrushes, floss and tubes of toothpaste into each of their buckets.

"Make sure to brush every day- you don't want those teeth to fall out…and you certainly don't want to end up like me, dearies. Say have you been down to the convent yet?"

"Um..thanks," Henry squeaked and they ran to the next house.

"Trick or treat!" They yelled in unison when Kathryn opened the door handing out king sized kit kat bars. Kathryn made an admirable Effie Trinket, smiling, waving, and giving a thumbs up for Henry's costume.

Regina tapped her foot impatiently on the curb, the kids had been taking a long time at the next house, and it was getting late. Henry finally came back, trying to conceal something that was wriggling behind his shield.

"What do you have?" Emma asked, as Henry tried and failed to mask his look of guilt. They heard a small whimper and a high pitched bark. He finally pulled the round little puppy out and held it 'Lion King' style out to Emma and Regina.

"Please! Please can I keep him? They said I could take two, they have plenty," Henry cuddled the pup, which was licking and panting excitedly.

"No. Absolutely no," Regina pointed her finger back at the house, "March!"

Henry looked to Emma appealing to his other mom to hopefully say 'yes' when one said 'no.'

"Sorry, kid, no one can take home a puppy. Michael would be furious at me if you showed up with a litter of Dalmatians."

Henry shook his head woefully at his friends signaling it was a 'no go' and they all sighed in disappointment, turning around to give back the dogs and say goodbye.

"Sorry, Lucky…I'm sure you'll find a great family soon!" Henry muttered to the puppy as he wandered back to the house.

"Alright, I think we've done enough trick-or-treating," Emma decided when she saw Thor was barely able to lug his heaping sack of loot.

On the walk back to the car, they passed a group of little girls all dressed as princesses. Jasmine was dressed a bit too revealing for a young girl, and Emma wondered how her parents let her out of the house in that costume.

They dropped the kids off at Michael's, and they piled out, touting their candy. Regina hugged Henry goodbye and he thanked her for taking them trick or treating. Regina reminded Henry not to eat too much candy, "Two pieces tonight, no more."

Emma waved goodbye and Regina got back into the car and relaxed against the seat. They were finally alone.

"That was actually fun," Emma started driving, she still had to cruise the streets and look for mischief.

"Yes, quite enjoyable, but I believe we have more enjoyable activities awaiting us," Regina said suggestively. She placed her hand on Emma's lap, squeezing her thigh as she leaned over the middle console invading Emma's space. She sprinkled kisses along Emma's jawline, while her hand inched higher up her thigh.

"The blue corn moon tonight makes me feel so mmm…I can't get enough of you," Regina pressed more firmly between Emma's thighs, bunching the material, while Emma tilted her hips slightly off of the seat. Emma let out a strangled moan, feeling like she was either having a stroke or bordering on crossing into a parallel universe of pleasure.

Suddenly, a black cat darted in front of the car and Emma slammed on the breaks, throwing her arm across Regina's body protectively. The cat streaked by unharmed, but Emma stared straight ahead trying to get her breathing and panic under control.

Regina straightened up in her seat, taking Emma's hand, "That idea may not have been my best…"

"It was worth it."

Even if they had wrecked and rolled the cruiser a dozen times the few fleeting moments of Regina stroking between her legs and whispering hotness in her ear would have totally been worth it.

"Shall we get something to eat?" Regina asked just as something smacked the side of the car. Another splat sounded and then a runny film ran down the driver's side window.

Eggs.

A rogue band of miscreants, dressed in black splattered the car. Emma jumped out, furious. She took off at a sprint, encumbered by her dress, but followed the giggles and whoops as the kids ran off towards the cemetery. They had messed with the wrong woman tonight.

After capturing the children and loading them into the backseat, Emma drove them back to their mother who looked exasperated as she ordered the brats inside, yelling they wouldn't be getting dinner. She apologized profusely and assured Emma that they would be punished.

"I have so many children, it's hard to keep track. I just don't know what to do!"

Emma shook her head as she drove off Shoe Street and back to town. She was exhausted and tired of patrolling. She just wanted to get Regina home and in bed.

"Dinner…then dessert," Regina offered as they pulled up to Granny's. It was almost closing time, and if it was up to Emma they'd forego food entirely.

"Ruby! I need dinner now…please…to go!" Emma sound desperate as she raced to the counter.

Ruby was dressed in a sexy French Maid costume. Her normally straight hair teased and crimped to the max, red streaks accentuating her bold look.

"Emma, you're early," Ruby smiled brightly, leaning over to wipe down the tables as the last customers exited the restaurant.

"I guess you want to get good seats for the virgin auction. You want something to eat real quick before we head over to the theater?"

"What? It's almost 10pm, we're not early?" Emma was extremely confused.

Regina stomped impatiently, unable to stay out of Emma's business, glaring at Ruby as she looked Emma over.

"I mean for the movie. It doesn't start until midnight. You're supposed to be wearing a gold sequined jacket and shorts, not a princess dress," Ruby looked over at Regina seemingly troubled by her very presence.

Emma vaguely remembered promising Ruby she'd go to something with her, but she had completely forgotten all about it after the day she had just had.

"Yeah, about that movie… Would you mind if I bail?" Emma winced as Ruby's nostrils flared.

"Yes! You already ditched me for drinks last night. Emma, I get that you need to do your mom thing, but you promised you'd celebrate Halloween with me tonight at Rocky Horror. I can't go as Magenta without a Columbia. That would just be ridiculous," Ruby was practically yelling.

Emma looked to Regina completely at a loss as what to do.

Regina replied calmly, stepping close just so Emma could hear, "Go on, dear, and enjoy your movie. I'll just go home, drink a glass of apple cider, take a nice long soak in my whirlpool tub, and dry myself naked by the fire on my bearskin rug—all alone."

Emma's mouth went dry. Whatever bear that had become Regina's bearskin rug was the luckiest damned bear to ever live.

"No, God…no…um, can you wait for me?" Emma was practically begging. She couldn't miss out on bath time or fire time. She'd die imagining Regina doing those activities without her.

"Regina, how about you come to the movie too? Can Regina come to the movie and do some time vortex dancing with us, Ruby?" Emma asked as a last ditch effort.

"Well, she is better dressed for it than you are. Keep the corset, lose the pants," Ruby turned on her heel and headed back towards the kitchen, "And Emma, it's the "Time Warp!" God, you sound like such a virgin!"

Emma could only agree; she was certainly starting to feel like one.
