Tori limped through the hall with Jade steadying her. Tori did her best to smile. Jade seemed only mildly concerned with Tori's welfare, instead pulling her along like a child might pull a heavy wagon.
Jade looked at Tori. "How bad does your leg hurt?"
"I'm not sure..." Tori leaned to stand on her good leg, then set her bad one down. "Weird. Looks like it fixed itself." A smile flickered across Tori's face, though tears still welled up in her eyes.
Jade smirked. "Little Miss Perfect, Tori Vega, faked an injury to get out of class? And she's crying about it?"
"My contact slipped." Tori turned away to readjust her contact and wiped the tears on the back of her hand. "There. Now I'm one hundred percent healthy."
"I can fix that."
"Jade!"
"Not kidding."
"I know..."
Tori looked into her girlfriend's eyes. She seemed much calmer now, and was back to her old threatening self. Jade took her girlfriend's hand began to lead Tori further down the hall.
"Why'd you fake falling?" Jade asked when they were near Tori's locker.
Tori shrugged. "Probably the same reason you were moving so slowly."
"I was stopping myself from punching Sikowitz out. The next time I get in trouble, I'm going to be suspended."
"That would be bad. I wouldn't be able to see you."
"Yeah. Coming to Hollywood Arts was way more important than not kissing you."
Tori's eyes shot wide open and she stopped walking, letting the words she'd heard sink in. When she did speak again, her voice was shaky. "You don't want to kiss me?"
"Not in front of all those people!"
"So if we were alone..."
"I would kiss you like there was no tomorrow."
Tori put her hands on her hips. "Wanna prove it?"
Tori puckered her lips and stood on her toes so she was the same hight as Jade, but Jade slowly pushed Tori down until her heels were flush with the floor again. Jade pointed to something Tori hadn't seen: a boy dashing through the hall in the general direction of the bathroom.
Tori couldn't hide the hint of annoyance in her voice. "Even one person can stop you? Who are you and what have you done to Jade West, because last I checked, Jade would ignore small things like that when she was with Beck."
"But with Beck it's different."
"How?"
"It's... I love you so much but... I just can't do things like this. Making out in front of the entire school with Beck was easy... but with you, I'm... I get a bit... I mean-"
"You're nervous? Scared? Don't know what people are going to say what they find out the truth?"
"I can't be seen with another girl like that. It's my reputation. You wouldn't know because you've never had one. Could you just be glad I can be nice to you when you're nice to me now?" Jade turned away and began to walk back to class.
Tori grabbed Jade's arm, stopping her. "That's not enough. Not anymore." Tori pointed over Jade's shoulder to a small maintenance room they had previously used to have discussions they didn't want overheard. "Nobody is going to go in there. We can have our own alone time. Just us. If you really would kiss me when nobody's around, there's seven minutes in there with our names on it."
Jade mulled over her girlfriend's suggestion. "What comes after?"
"We go back to class like nothing ever happened."
Jade smiled and pulled Tori into the small room, shutting the door and locking it. "Maybe if you're good enough I'll let you get to second base."
Tori blushed, laughing awkwardly. "That would be nice."
Tori's arm brushed a metal shelf as she moved closer to Jade. Jade put her hand on Tori's shoulder, looking deeply into the shorter girl's eyes. Tori stood on her toes again, putting her hands on Jade's shoulders. Jade slid her hands down to Tori's back. Tori smiled, closed her eyes, and leaned closer to Jade. She could feel Jade's soft breath on her cheek.
In a second, their lips met. Jade didn't hesitate, and held Tori close as she deepened the kiss. Tori opened her eyes to see Jade's blushing cheeks. Jade stared into Tori's eyes once more. Jade's lips were sweet. Tori smelled of a warm, fruity, flowery perfume, and there were hints of cherry lip gloss on her lips. Tori licked Jade's lips, and Jade's lips twitched into a smile. Jade took a step back. Tori held on, gripping the back of Jade's shirt.
Jade relaxed her grasp on Tori, allowing her to take control. Tori pressed her body against Jade's and slid her arms under Jade's arms. Her fingers slid against the bottom edge of Jade's bra. She moaned as Jade's hands pulled the two even closer. Jade slowly opened her mouth, allowing Tori to slide her tongue inside. Tori blushed a few shades darker as her tongue brushed against Jade's. Jade took a few more steps backwards until her foot hit a wall. Tori opened her own mouth wider, sighing with contentment. Jade gradually took control again by gradually pushing against Tori. Tori stumbled backwards to balance herself, gasping for breath. Tori pulled her lips away from Jade. Her heart hammered in her chest, and she leaned against a wall to calm down.
"You ok?" Jade let go of Tori.
Tori's chest heaved as she caught a second wind. Once she could breathe normally and her heartbeat had slowed, she looked up at Jade.
Tori placed a hand on Jade's warm, blushing cheek. "Am now."
Tori pressed her lips against Jade's, and their make-out session continued like it had never stopped. The girl's tongues slid in and out of each other's mouths. Jade pushed Tori back against the wall, holding her wrists. Tori inhaled as she felt herself be squeezed between Jade and the wall. Jade slid her leg between Tori's, moaning softly.
This roughness wasn't something Tori was used to, but she didn't mind. She liked the feeling of Jade's chest against her own, and the ability to feel every breath her girlfriend took. It made her heart race and her head spin. Whenever Jade's lips began to pull away from hers, she felt a hungry desire to push her back and keep going. It didn't matter to her if they hid in this small room for the whole day. She was with the one she loved, and nothing could change that.
Jade's hand slowly ran down Tori's arm, making the latter's arm tickle. Jade held the back side of Tori's hand as the two pulled apart. Jade guided Tori's hand like it was on a single marionette string. Drawing the small hand up, Jade began to bring it closer the herself. Tori blushed deeper as she realized where she was about to touch.
A mean voice came through from the other side of the door. "Stop fussin'. I know you got some weak arms, boy."
Both girls turned to face the door. Jade's eyes widened as her brows furrowed, and Tori's jaw fell open. Through the window, they saw a small head of unruly black hair drop out of view.
"This is the first time you've lifted in your entire life!" Rex's voice came through again, mocking an unseen figure.
Jade marched to the door and shoved it open with a surprising amount of force. Robbie whimpered as he slammed into the wall. Rex fell from Robbie's hand. Tori caught the door when it swung backwards, stopping it from slamming.
"What on earth do you two think you're doing?" Jade managed to keep her voice at an average volume in spite of her harsh tone.
Robbie picked Rex back up, looking at the puppet. "You said you were watching one of the janitors twitching in his sleep!"
"I lied. So?" Rex was completely nonchalant.
"So you're going to get beaten into a pulp!" Jade grabbed at Rex.
Robbie pulled Rex away as Tori tried to get in front of Jade. "Jade!"
Tori forced her way between Jade and Robbie. "Jade, calm down, please. We don't want to get caught out here."
"The stupid puppet needs to learn to keep it in his pants... if there's even anything there." Jade's grin reminded Tori of a lion on the prowl.
Rex rolled over to face Jade. "You don't know what I've got."
Jade nodded. "A mouth that's going to be taped shut in a few seconds."
Jade walked to the supply room's door, but Tori blocked her from entering. "Are you sure you want to do this? You'd get suspended, or even expelled." Tori grabbed Jade's arms as Jade tried to push past her. "Is a few minutes of beating up Rex going to be worth leaving Hollywood Arts forever?"
Jade was about to fight back when the reality of Tori's words hit her. She yanked her arms out of Tori's grip, reducing herself to giving threatening looks to the boys. Tori was ready to try her approach to solving the issue.
She knelt down to talk to Robbie face-to-face. "Why are you even out here?"
Robbie stared at the floor. "Sikowitz got Cat and Beck up to do the kiss thing and I got really upset. I don't know why, really, I guess it's just that I didn't like it."
"You didn't like them being together?" Tori mused out lout.
"No, they can be together if they want," Robbie held the hand not holding Rex up in surprise. "I'll get over my crush on Cat eventually. Not like this is the first time I've been disappointed."
Tori couldn't argue with that.
Jade leaned down, resting a hand on her girlfriend's shoulder. "If you tell anybody about what you saw, you'll wish you were disappointed. Got it?"
"Got it! Got it!" Robbie nodded as he stood up.
The moment Robbie was on his feet, he dashed back to class, leaving Tori and Jade alone again.
Tori put her hands on her hips. "You didn't have to be so mean to him!"
"I guess," Jade shrugged, "but I hate it when people invade my privacy."
Tori stifled a laugh and relaxed. "Trina's invaded mine so often that I don't even notice anymore."
"My little brother knows better."
"For the life of me, I can't imagine why."
"Because you don't imagine it. You know it."
Tori checked the time on her phone. "I would suggest going back to class, but it's almost over. Not enough time to go have more fun either."
Jade sighed. "That's lame... but it's still better than class."
Author's Notes: I've been working on new ways to get myself to write more. One is Written Kitten, a tool that lets you see cute cat photos for every 100 words you write. I've set a goal of 300 words a day minimum, and bumping this up on days I know I'll have extra time.
Why do I smell wet dog and gunpowder? The wet dog could be for a Puppy Episode, and the gunpowder... a drama bomb might be going off soon. Follow to get updated when chapter 15 comes out!
