It was a week later before Ava was well enough to go home. Chuck had come to pick them both from the hospital. Quinn followed behind as Chuck carried the car seat and opened the door. She let out a squeal of excitment as she went to get into the car.

"Santana what are you doing here?" She asked giving her friend a hug.

"Well I would have been here sooner if it wasn't one visitor at a time in there" Santana told her hugging her back.

"I've missed you so much" She told her honestly.

"I've missed you too, I wish I had been there" Santana said looking over at Ava who was fast asleep "She's beautful"

"She is" Quinn breathed still not quite believing she had her beautiful daughter and was taking her home.

"So has Prince Charming been around much?" Santana asked as Quinn was adjusting her seatbelt and checking the car seat.

"He's been to the hospital every day and He's bringing Serena over later to spend some time" She shrugged.

"You're letting that evil whore into your home?" Santana questioned raising an eyebrow.

"Well if it's going to happen it can happen where i'm close by, She's not going to their house" Quinn sighed "It's going to happen eventually may as well get it over with"

"The guys all want to visit soon I told them i'd let them know when you were a bit more up to it" Santana continued, usually she'd be saying more awful things about Nate and Serena but Quinn looked far too tired to hear any of it.

"It'll be good to see them, How is Britt?" Quinn asked

"She's great" Santana replied with a small smile "I can't remember the last time I felt this happy"

"Aww Santana has a heart" She joked but gave her friends hand a squeeze. She was so Happy Santana was doing so well, she was the one friend Quinn could truly rely on. They may not have always been nice to each other but Santana was always there when it counted and she didn't think she would have made it this far without her.

"Yeah yeah laugh it up Q" Santana said rolling her eyes "You're the one marrying Chuck Bass"

"You know you love me" Chuck called from the front of the car.

Quinn was holding on to Ava-Grace's hand and couldn't keep a big smile from forming on her face. She was sat with her best friend, her amazing Fiance and had her beautiful daughter on their way home. It was perfection as far as she was concerned.

"Is your Mom coming?" Santana asked changing the subject.

"In a few days" Quinn sighed " She's bringing my Dad"

"Chuck's White, Rich and put a ring on it, he'll like him" Santana reassured her.

Quinn just rolled her eyes.

Chuck opened the car door like a true gentleman offering a hand to help Quinn out of the car before taking the car seat.

There was a huge "Welcome home Ava-Grace" Banner hanging in the living room. A Giant pile of beautifully wrapped gifts on the table. Puck, Kim, Shelby, Beth and Anne were all sat waiting for her. She felt her eyes welling up with tears.

"Thank you" She whispered to Chuck giving him a hug.

"Where's my granddaughter" Anne asked with a smile giving Quinn a hug. "Can I hold her?"

"Of course you can" She replied gently lifting Ava from her carseat and passing her over to her Grandmother.

"How are you doing Lady Fabray?" Puck asked giving her a hug

"Tired but I'm good" she said taking a seat next to Anne.

"I made you some tea" Kim told her handing her a cup.

"You're an Angel" Quinn giggled "I'm so glad you're all here"

"You look amazing" Shelby told her

"I don't feel it" She said shaking her head "Size of a house, huge bags under my eyes"

"Quinn will you still see me now you've got a baby girl?" Beth asked snuggling up beside her.

"Of course I will silly" Quinn said pulling Beth onto her lap "You and Ava-Grace are both my special girls"

"Can I help take care of her?" The little blonde asked.

"I think that's a great idea she needs a big girl like you to help her" Quinn agreed with a nod.

Beth jumped up with a smile to go and see the new Baby. Lola was jumping up at her legs desperate to play with her friend.

Her friends didn't stay too long knowing that Quinn would be tired and need to settle back into her home. Shelby and Beth took Lola for the night so she could have someone to play with. Santana promised to come back in the morning with Puck and Kim.

Anne was the only one that stayed waiting for Nate and Serena to arrive.

"Why don't we go for a walk when they get here?" Chuck suggested "Not far just around the block"

"She doesn't have to go because of Serena" Anne said while gazing down at her Granddaughter who was fast asleep.

"It might be nice for Nate to just have some time with you and Ava" Quinn told her "Just 15 minutes with no arguments or awkwardness"

As soon as Nate and Serena arrived Quinn and Chuck headed downstairs.

"Mommy will be just downstairs" Quinn told Ava kissing her little head.

"You're going for a walk?" Nate asked

"We just thought you and Serena might not want us hanging over you, it's pretty tense between us as it is" Quinn explained "I'll be back in a few minutes"

It was nice to have a bit of time just with Chuck, no house full of people or Doctors and Nurses. He obviously felt the same because the first thing he did was take her hand and pull her into an embrace.

"I've missed you" He said before kissing her passionately.

"I've missed you too" She told him softly.

"It's been too quiet with just Lola here" He pouted "Don't go away again"

"I'm not planning on it" She laughed.

There were still Christmas decorations everywhere, it was like a winter wonderland, there had been a small snowfall that Quinn had missed being in the hospital.

"It's so beautiful this time of year" Quinn smiled loving the feel of the snow underfoot.

"It is" He agreed "I love this city"

Quinn suddenly reached up to pull him down into a kiss.

"What was that for?" He asked looking a little shocked.

"I just realized it's New Years Day, we missed New Year's Eve together" She explained "So Happy New Year"

"It's been a crazy week" He said squeezing her hand "You're one of the strongest people I know"

"I couldn't have gone through it without you, you've been amazing" She told him.

He had been there with her every day. She knew he couldn't have gotten any work done because he had never left the hospital.

"When are you going to be Mrs Bass?" He asked.

"Planning a wedding takes time" She laughed.

"I don't want to wait" He told her seriously "We can have it anywhere you want and do anything you want I just want to be with you"

"I just want to be with the people I love" She replied.

"So we can plan it soon?" He asked.

"Yes we can" She agreed "But right now we need to get back to Ava"

When they got back upstairs they were greeted by the sight of Nate holding Ava-Grace sat with Serena. Quinn had to admit it was nice to see them looking so happy and to know her baby was loved by so many people.

"How has she been?" Quinn asked sitting down next to Chuck.

"Sleeping mostly" Nate replied

"Babies do that a lot, except for when you want to sleep" Anne laughed putting down a fresh pot of coffee.

"Do you want her back?" Nate asked standing up.

"No you don't have to go, Serena can hold her" Quinn replied.

Quinn stood up to help Anne bring over the pastries Nate and Serena had brought with them.

"That was a very nice thing to do" Anne told her quietly.

"Well it is what it is, no point making it more difficult" Quinn replied with a smile.

It may be a complicated family but it was still a family.
