It was a few days later when Quinn was frantically fluffing up cushions and rearranging flowers. Her parents were due to arrive any minute. Ava had been up for most of the night. To say she was stressed was an understatement.

"Quinn everything is fine just sit down" Chuck told her.

He was sat down holding Ava who was actaully sleeping. Quinn smiled at the sight of them. Chuck doted on Ava, as did Nate and Anne. She was going to be one spoilt little girl.

"You don't understand my Dad will judge everything, it has to be perfect" She groaned sitting down.

"And it all is perfect" He reassured her.

"I've not seen my father in seven years" She admitted

She had never told Chuck the whole story about her father. Truthfully she was scared to see him. She knew he had been trying to make things right over the last year. But she wasn't sure how much he had actually changed.

She looked round as the elevator pinged. She jumped up and smoothed down her skirt. Her parents walked into the suite.

"Quinnie" Judy squealed running forward to hug her.

Chuck's eyes widend at the pure shrillness of Judy's voice. Quinn shot him a warning look as the smile formed on his face.

"It's good to see you sweetheart" Russel said standing awkwardly at the side of his wife.

"It's good to see you too Daddy" She said giving him a hug.

Quinn had spent a long time hating her Dad but with him standing right in front of her she realised how much she wanted them to be able to move forward.

"This is Judy and Russell Fabray my parents" She said formally introducing them "This is my fiance Chuck Bass"

"It's a pleasure to meet you both" Chuck said shaking Russell's hand and kissing Judy on the cheek.

Judy giggled and blushed making Quinn roll her eyes.

"Such a gentleman" Judy gushed.

"So what about this Grandaughter of ours?" Russell asked ignoring his wife.

"This is Ava-Grace" She said picking up the sleeping baby handing her carefully over to her Father.

Ava was still tiny and looked like she would break. Russell held her carefully with Judy at his side. Tears were forming in his eyes. Quinn couldn't help but think this is exactly how it should have been the first time round.

"She's beautiful" Russell told her gazing down at his Granddaughter.

Quinn sat down next to Chuck holding his hand. He gave her hand a reassuring squeeze.

"We also wanted to talk to you guys about our wedding" She started.

"We're so happy for you Quinnie, you obviously picked a good one" Judy told her.

Russell eyed Chuck obviously not sharing his wife's enthusiasm. It wasn't that he didn't like Chuck but it was hard for him to think of anyone being good enough for his little girl.

"As long you take care of our little girl" He said.

Russell knew he didn't have much room to give his opinion to Quinn anymore. They were only just working on building up their relationship.

"I fully intend to sir" Chuck replied.

Quinn had never seen Chuck so formal. She knew he probably was at business meetings but she never saw that. It was strange, she was used to him being relaxed and casual.

"We're actually having the wedding next month and wanted to invite you" She added.

Judy looked up eyes wide.

"A month?" She asked "That's no time at all to plan a wedding"

"Well we don't want anything big and we don't want to waste any more time" She explained "We just want to be together"

"That's so romantic" Judy said welling up.

Her mother was an overly emotional person but it meant a lot to Quinn that her Mom was happy for her.

"We need to get working on the plans then" Judy added.

"Actually we kind of want to do it ourselves" Quinn replied.

She knew her mother would be disappointed to not be involved. But Quinn and Chuck agreed they wanted it to be about them. Her mother would go over the top. It was just her way.

"We'll be happy to be there" Russell told her.

Ava had started to wake up. Quinn took her little girl and went through into the bedroom to feed her. She could hear her Mom talking to Chuck about the wedding. She looked down at her baby girl and smiled. They had only been home for a few days but being together already felt like the most natural thing in the world. Quinn couldn't remember a time she had felt this happy. All she had wanted originally when she had moved to New York was to be a star just like her friends. But now her dream had changed. She understood why Shelby had changed her career. She didn't want to miss out on a single second for her little family. As unconventional as it was it was perfect to her.

Judy and Russell hadn't stayed long. Russell was worried about overstaying his welcome while things were still so strained between the two of them. Judy wasn't happy to go but she was happy to be coming back for the wedding with Franny and her family. Quinn knew she couldn't wait to go back to her other daughter and boast about Quinn's new fiance.

She gave them both a hug goodbye as they left.

"So you made quite an impression on my Mom" She told Chuck kissing him lightly.

"What can I say I have a way with the ladies" He smirked

"Should I be worried?" She joked "If you're such a womaniser"

"I think you know the answer to that" He replied pulling her into an embrace.

He bent his head to kiss her. She snaked her arms around his neck pulling him closer. He ran his fingers up and down her spine making her shiver. She moaned as his kisses travelled down to the sensitive spot on her neck.

Ava crying broke them out of their own little world. Quinn smiled up at him.

"Sorry" She said breaking away "Joy's of parenthood"

Chuck just smiled at her and picked up Ava rocking her until she settled back down. Quinn marvelled at how good he was with her. If anyone had told her at that first party where they had met that she would be living with Chuck Bass, cuddling up while he rocked the baby to sleep she would have thought they were on crack.

"You're so good with her" She murmered snuggling up with two of her favourite people.

"Well I'm learning from the best" He told her kissing her cheek.

Quinn smiled as Ava grabbed onto her little finger as she drifted back off to sleep.

"I'm scared to move incase we wake her" She whispered softly.

So instead they stayed sat up quietly talking about the wedding and the future.
