Final Words From The Future

A/N: Hey guys, now we're getting into the fun stuff. Hermione still has a few days in the past so stay tuned! Also up right now, my Harry Potter/Power Ranger crossover When Magic Collides! ENJOY! R&R PLZ!

Hermione closed the last folder pretty sure that everyone was experiencing the same mixed emotions she was. It was a real bittersweet ending to a grueling seven years, she and the boys often referred to it as the 'not-quite-so happily ever after'. Albus was the first to speak, "I think this had been enough for one day, we will begin our plans tomorrow." McGonagall agreed with him and they both left together. The Marauders and Lily and Hermione all stayed in place, just thinking until Hermione remembered the stack of letters.

She took them out of the folder and waved them to get everyone's attention, "Last round of letters. The first one is from Harry for everyone." She offered it to James and Lily to do the honours. James accepted it and read out loud.

Dear everyone,

I can't imagine what it was like for you to hear all of this but I have complete faith that you can fix this or at least make it better. I can't say I regret everything that happened but we all now know that there were definitely some things that should've been different. I know it will be hard for all of you to look past the tragedies but you have to if you want to make a change for the better. Remember, none of this has happened yet and you now have the power to change it. Take it from someone who was chosen to save the wizarding world himself, as long as you have courage and believe it's possible, anything can happen. Mom, Dad, I love you both so much. Our time by the forest meant so much to me, still does, because I knew you were by my side. And it helped me realise that you were always with me. I'm with you too, you can't see me but I'm there. That includes you Sirius, you were the closest thing I had to a parent and I know you'd do anything for your family. Remus, you lost so much but think of what you stand to gain by correcting all of this. You deserve happiness but like you taught me, it doesn't come easily, you have to persevere and fight for it and you cannot give up. Finally Hermione, my sister and my best friend, don't think that anyone underestimates what you're doing for us. I'm certain that we'll be friends again, there's no way I could be so stupid. I want to say we'll miss you but we won't even remember this, neither will you so until we meet again.

Love,
Harry

Everyone was smiling now and Hermione glanced at the baby before turning to the next letter, "It's from George, he addressed to all the Marauders." Unsurprisingly Sirius automatically took it and read.

Hello all,

I just wanted to send along my thanks with Miss Granger to Moony, Padfoot, and Prongs who we all know are Remus, Sirius, and James – if I may call you that. I figure Fred would have wanted to write to you too so I'll just speak for the both of us. You blokes helped me and Freddie find our calling in life, pranks and making people laugh. Thank you, not just for the map or all the help you gave us developing pranks, but everything it's led to too. We have a great shop and a good life in Diagon Alley doing what we love. Thanks gents, it means a lot…to the both of us.

Mischief Managed,
George

Sirius folded the paper back and chuckled, "I wish Minnie could've heard this. She used to say our pranks were useless." The room laughed quietly.

"Who's next Mya?" Lily asked.

"You are," Hermione examined the next one. "It's from Molly."

Dear Lily,

It seems strange writing a letter to the past but I know as a mother what it is to hear your child go through such horrible things. I'm not sure how this whole time-travel-change works but I want you to know I consider Harry to be another son and if given the choice, I'd do it all over again. Rest assured, if I have something to say about it, no matter what happens, Harry will have a somewhere to turn to. I'm certain you'd be proud of the man he's become, I'm sure Hermione has mentioned him becoming a qualified Auror in just one year. He's also a wonderful godfather to Teddy and a good man all around. Best of luck on your mission, I do hope you succeed. No matter how I love Harry, he needs his parents and family.

Sincerely,
Molly Weasley

"Um Remus?" Hermione bit her lip. "This is for you – from…Andromeda." Lupin hesitantly took the non-offensive looking note and opened it.

Dear Remus,

I know you were worried about what Ted and I thought about you being with our daughter but you didn't need to. It would've taken a blind man not to see how much you and Dora loved each other. I am inclined to believe that you two are meant to be, you balance each other so perfectly. You're just the type of patient, caring man Dora needs and she knows how to bring the energy and life out of you. And Teddy, he is the most wonderful little boy who deserves both of his parents. Dora told me how you tried to stay away from her for her sake, I urge you not to this time. What you two had was something really special, don't fight it.

All the best,
Andromeda

Remus concluded and Sirius nodded satisfactorily. "I think Andy summed it up nicely."

Remus grinned, "So I have your blessing too mate?"

"When did you ever NOT have it?" The two hugged.

"Well," Remus put his letter on the coffee table. "Dora and I have a few more years before we even get to that bridge. I think the bigger, more pressing problem is what do we do now?"

A/N: In case you're looking for Ron, I didn't think he'd have anything to say to the past people. It was hard trying to come up with different notes for everyone but I think touched on all the major issues. If I didn't, let me know and I'll try to fix it in another chapter. Also tell me what you thought about Andromeda's letter, hers was definitely the hardest but she was the only one left – other than Harry -who had a really personal connection to Remus. ENJOY! R&R PLZ!
