The only reason I didn't update earlier, as in two months ago, is because I actually thought I have already updated it, but thanks to my oh so fabulous wifi, I actually feel ashamed. Anyway, you will find the link to blessed's facebook page in my profile, where you'll find the ring, the wedding dress, the house…. And information about the sequel.
Good reading everyone!
Epilogue
The pevensie sisters were widely known for their beauty, yet queen Susan always managed to be slightly advantageous in that regard, based on the people's judgment. but the latter began seriously reconsidering their opinion as they watched their youngest queen walking down the aisle in her brother's arm. Only one word could describe Queen Lucy at the moment, radiant, in every aspect. First, because of the beautiful white figure hugging silk gown she wore, the gem incrusted bodice enhanced her milky skin and flaming locks which were pulled in a complicated yet highly elegant up do. Second, because of the manner she held herself, as if she could conquer all hearts, a true fact as very few could resist her friendly attitude and last, and the most charming feature were her beautiful sea blue eyes, they held so much happiness, such tenderness, such love that left everyone stupefied.
Lucy herself felt as if her heart would burst with joy, as she sighted her groom, the one person that she always loved, would finally be hers, as she will be his, joined by the sacred bond of matrimony, the one to perform the ceremony none other but the great lion himself. As they neared, Lucy almost bounced in Caspian's arms, but Peter managed to hold her down, while Edmund, the best man, chuckled from his own stand. The same emotions were plastered on Caspian's eyes, if even that wasn't proof enough, the gentle way he took his Lady's hand or the fond smile tugging on his lips left no room for doubt. The telmarine king was also clad handsomely in Narnia's colors, red and gold, and there was no doubt that many ladies were going to leave the hall broken hearted.
As you may already have guessed, a great ceremony was held in Cair Paravel's majestic hall. Why it was the union of not one but two Narnian rulers, Queen Lucy the valiant and King Caspian the seafarer were to be wed, six months after their engagement. Not a cloud could be seen, the sky was crystal blue while the sunrays danced through the great hall's colorful glass.
The planning of course was left in the gentle queen's safe hands, aided by the Lady Annabelle, and the result was very pleasantly astounding, as the whole décor varied from white to soft peach, the valiant queen's favorite flowers, white lilies adorned every corner of the palace. Then they designed her bridal gown, and even prepared her on her special day, not mentioning the bold comments or outrageous suggestions about her wedding night, they even went ahead and ordered some suggestive undergarments, but that was when Lucy decided to stomp her foot, yet they ignored her and told her that one day she would be thankful.
Meanwhile Caspian spent these months in the company of his soon to be brothers-in-law, only when his fiancé was busy with the wedding preparations of course. They gave him an earful on how to treat their sister, how to always agree with her, else face her wrath, but Caspian knew that fact all too well.
Back in the present, Lucy's bridesmaids, Anne and Susan, watched as Aslan began reciting the traditional sermons, his booming voice warming the guests, among them both Adam and surprise surprise, princess Layla of Calormene. The latter wouldn't dare ignore the valiant queen's invitation.
"Do you, king Caspian the tenth, also known as the seafarer, take Queen Lucy the valiant as your wife, to love, and to cherish, even after you both meet in my country, do you solely swear to take care for her, in sickness and in health, do you accept to take her as your queen, not consort but regent, and rule over Narnia under her wise guidance?" The great lion asked.
"I do."
"Do you, Queen Lucy Pevensie, also known as the valiant, take king Caspian as your husband, to lobe, to cherish, even after you both meet in my country, do you solely swear to care for him, in sickness and in health, do you accept to take him as your king, not consort but regent, and rule over Narnia under his wise guidance?"
"I do"
"Then bring the rings forward." Prince Amir, Layla's younger brother, rushed to do his assigned task, tripping several times before reaching his destination.
"With this ring, I shall claim you as mine, my queen, my wife." Caspian's steady voice said as he slipped the wedding band right where her engagement ring still rested.
"With this ring, I shall claim you as mine, my king, my husband." Lucy said with the same tone, and in turn slipped his platinum wedding band into his ring finger, a fine jewel with a black gem incrusted in the middle while hers was made of nothing but diamond incrusted platinum, matching her engagement ring.
"By the sacred laws of this union, I now pronounce you husband and wife. King Caspian, you may kiss your bride."
They both turned to face each other, their gazes matching in both warmth and love, and as Lucy looked into Caspian beautiful brown orbs, she forgot everything else, all that mattered was him, he was hers, six months couldn't prepare her for this moment. She closed her eyes as soon as he leaned towards her. She didn't realized she was crying until Caspian kissed each tear that fell from her eyes, then her forehead, and finally her lips, it was but a brief and chaste kiss, yet it held a promise for later.
The deafening sound of cheers, applause and whistles snapped the newlyweds out of their bubble. Caspian tucked Lucy to her side as they both smiled to the guests and their families. Annabelle was weeping in Edmund's shoulder, while he looked upon his sister and brother-in-law with joy and tenderness, while Susan was both laughing and crying. Peter was looking up, trying his best to not cry, he will not cry, he's the high king, he could not cry in front of his subjects. Damn his baby sister is married. Lucy, seeing her oldest siblings 'struggle, made her way towards them, then embraced them both before pulling back, a teasing smile on the corners of her lips.
"Come on, Pete, Su, this is my wedding not my funerals, you have to be happy."
"Oh Lucy we are happy for you, it's just to know you will now have your own family while I'll be here, rotting, until I die an old maiden." Susan sighed.
"Don't worry sis, I think there are plenty that wish to do nothing but court you, you'll find Mr. Right soon enough. It's more Peter that I'm worried about." Lucy said in a fake frown.
"Lucy, I appear to be very popular with the ladies."
"Yet you never manage to make them stay." Caspian said, as he came to stand beside Lucy, his arm snaking around her waist.
"I don't want them to stay."
"Of course Peter, whatever makes you sleep at night. Now I came here to ask for a dance from my beautiful bride." He said, offering his hand.
"You're in luck then, husband, I'm in a mood for dancing." Lucy answered, accepting his offer. They both excused themselves then went to join the other dancing guests.
Susan looked around her, as if she was searching for someone, then turned to her brother.
"Where's Annabelle?"
"With Edmund." He answered absentmindedly.
"And where is Edmund?" Peter looked around him then shrugged.
"Thanks for the help, your majesty." Susan shot back sarcastically.
"You're welcome, sis."
The missing couple was actually in the palace's gardens. Edmund watched from his position, leaning on one of the various trees scattered around the fine, well thought of design, Annabelle walking with the great lion, Aslan.
"Speak what you have in your mind child." Aslan said in his tender voice. Annabelle looked into the lion's golden orbs, still awed by his presence, it was the first time she met him face to face, yet the serenity that she felt in his presence seemed as if she's known him all her life. She contemplated his question, oh how much she wanted to know, how many thoughts were racing in her mind, yet she chose the most forward.
"Aslan, why did you send me here?"
"To protect you, young Annabelle." At that the girl frowned.
"But from what?" Aslan turned his head, looking towards the setting sun in the Far East.
"From fate."
"But I don't understand." Anne murmured confusedly.
"All will be answered in the right time, but know that your time on earth has come to an end the moment you stepped on Narnia's soil."
At this statement, Annabelle felt great joy, then guilt because she felt happy, them finally sadness, she will never see her family again. Aslan watched the flow of emotions passing Annabelle's eyes.
"Do not feel sad child, for you have found a home, a family, you had nothing left in that world."
"I had my father, my mother, my brother."
"And here you found two brothers, two sisters, and someone you could cherish all your life, so don't let regret wash away your future happiness. Now child I know you have many other question, yet time will answer them all, for fate still holds many surprises for you, maybe even a visitor or two."
Annabelle glared to the ground, frustrated by the cryptic statements the great lion told her, and then she suddenly remembered her mother, was she alright? Was she dead?
She raised her head to ask him but to her great surprise, he was already gone, gone in less than a minute.
"He has a habit of doing that." she jumped at Edmund's voice coming for behind.
"Does he also have a habit of speaking in riddles?" she demanded as she turned around, so she was face to face with the smiling just king.
"Most of the time, yes. What did he tell you?"
"What I already knew." Annabelle answered, wounding her arms around Edmund's neck.
"And that is?"
"I'm finally home."
"Then that means…"
"Yes, you're not getting rid of me that easily."
"I happen to like the sound of that." he stated in an arrogant smile, while she looked into his beautiful brown orbs.
"I love you." Instead of answering her, he took her lips between his, moving tenderly against her, pouring all his feeling in that one kiss.
Annabelle sighed, as he continued his gentle maneuverings, she really was home.
Back to the great hall, the festivities were still carried en grandeur. If grandeur was defined by drunken dancing guests, laughing at nothing yet crying at the same time, even Peter, thinking he was still in England, was opening and closing a closet door for twenty minutes thinking he'll stumble in Narnia. Trumpkin was dancing with a plant pot, yes a plant pot, while his wife watched him rolling her eyes. Susan was still very sober as she watched the most surprising thing occurring, Princess Layla was giggling, yes I repeat giggling, with Adam, well the poor man was actually trying his hardest to wrestle the wine cup out of her hands, but she, in her drunk mind, thought it was a game, as she kept laughing, snorting, jumping and running around the hall. The gentle queen was soon joined by her sister and new brother-in-law, who were the most sober of the party, declining any wine during the whole night.
"Well that's a sight, it's too bad we don't have a camera like in England." Lucy pointed laughing.
"What's a camera?" Caspian asked.
"It's a uh… thing that… you know what I'll explain it later." At that the telmarine shrugged, for he knew that later they will certainly not be discussing items from he world.
"Well actually Lu, I'm glad we don't have a camera here, the narnians certainly don't want to see their high king in that state." Susan said grimacing, as they all watched him watching a candle burn, fascinated, then reaching for it, and finally snapping his hand back after realizing that it could actually burn his hand. Lucy looked at her brother with an expression probably meaning 'what the hell' before turning to her sister.
"Yes, you're right. We actually came here to bid you goodnight as you're the only one who will probably notice our absence."
"Yes, I'll probably go to sleep, something that two will be lacking tonight."
Lucy blushed deep red, while Caspian laughed at her cuteness before grabbing her hand and exiting the hall.
"Where are we going?" Lucy asked confused, as their rooms were actually the other way, in a whole other wing.
"Knowing how there is no peace in this castle, I chose this farthest wing as our own quarters, to give us some privacy." He said as opened the huge double doors.
Caspian's idea of quarters was actually a dozen rooms: sitting room, library, two empty rooms and a huge balcony. Lucy let go Caspian's hand to open the glass doors, then gasped at the sight before. The scenery was exquisite. As they were in a higher altitude, they could see all the towers surrounding Cair Paravel, the beautiful rocky hills and the eastern sea, lightened by the stars above.
"Wow!" Lucy whispered. Caspian hugged her waist from behind whispering in her ear.
"That's not all." Lucy looked at him curiously while he led her to the final room, taking her hand in his, he opened the door to reveal their own private bedroom. Apparently it was outrageous for a king and queen to share a bedroom. Each should have their own chambers that they will leave vacant only when time came for their marital duties. Yet Caspian would hear none of it, there was no such duty between him and Lucy, he wanted to wake up every morning at the sight of his beautiful wife and would not sleep until she's snuggled in his embrace.
The room was made of cream and pale blue, with all the necessary items in a room, beautiful carved wooden closet, bedside table and dressing table, at the far corner a large changing curtain, with a basin right beside. Yet the most magnificent thing was the four poster king sized bed, even the wood carvings spoke of the beauty of Narnia, with beautiful cream sheets embroidered in beautiful gold patterns. An almost see through curtain surrounded the bed frame, giving them even more privacy.
Lucy stood there, dumbfounded by the room's charm, taking every single detail of her surroundings, while Caspian stood patiently by her side.
"It's beautiful." She whispered through the calm silence.
"I'm glad you like it." Caspian said fondly.
"I do, I really do, thank you!" she said back, smiling up at him.
"Anything for my beautiful wife."
"I happen to like the sound of that, husband." She teased playfully, wounding her arms around his neck "But don't you dare go back on your word after a few years of marriage."
"I wouldn't dare, Lucy, you're way too scary when you get angry, and I still didn't find a way to placate your anger."
"Maybe a kiss or two will do." She murmured against his lips.
"Maybe." He smirked before finally taking her soft lips between his. The kiss felt like heaven, Lucy thought. Caspian, with his soft ministration and tender touch, coaxed reactions from her that even she didn't realize she was capable of. He continued moving slowly against her mouth, caressing and worshiping her lips as if they had all the time in the world. That fact wasn't false after all; they had a whole life together now to look forward to. The kiss that has started as gentle escalated into pure raw passion. It was anything but gentle, nay, it was as hot as blazing fire and blatantly possessive. Lucy soon found herself lost in the pit of desire through her husband's careful yet mind-blowing ministrations.
Damn, she tasted good, Caspian thought as he used his thumb to force her mouth to open wider, giving allowance for his tongue to sweep inside. He dominated her mouth, and with it any coherent thought in her mind. The proof of it was when she boldly took off his tunic, revealing his majestic torso. She took her time gazing at him, the fact that he towered over her didn't seem to bother Lucy at all. For her he was anything but intimidating. But lord he was a handsome devil. His skin was bronzed and he was powerfully built. His upper arms were sleek with roped muscles, and his torso was magnificent. It was not the first time Lucy has seen him half-naked, yet she failed to notice the numerous almost invisible battle scars. Wounds were a frequent occurrence for warriors, yet she herself was lucky to only have two or three, one on her tight, from right before Annabelle's arrival, another two in her earlier battles. Yet on Caspian, it only added to his attractiveness. Perfect skin was for boys, she married a man.
She felt breathless just by looking at him. It was a foolish reaction, she told herself, because she'd seen him without his tunic several times now. Still he wasn't thinking about bedding her then. He was now.
She tried to win some time to get over her sudden nervousness by following each line his scars made from top to bottom, enjoying the feel of his contracted muscles in each spot she touched. She liked touching him. The heat from his skin surprised her. He was hard all over, yet warm too. His body reflected his spirit. Ruthless in battle yet most gentle with her.
Caspian, tried his hardest at containing himself, to make this night special to her, yet the feel of her fingers on his skin challenged every self-control he had. He leaned to kiss her forehead, showing her his love and most of all the respect he held for his little wife. Then his lips trailed to her cheeks, down to the side of her face, until he reached her jaw, he sucked and nipped on her soft skin before taking his ministrations to where he knew she was most sensitive.
Lucy forgot all her nervousness, trying her hardest to breathe deeply as her husband nibbled on her earlobe. She couldn't help but let out a giggle when he lapped his tongue behind her ear, where he knew she was ticklish. The delightful sound made Caspian smile against her skin before her wandered further south to her neck where he made sure to leave several love marks, enjoying every moan and gasp coming from Lucy. His hands went up to her hair trying to undo her delicate up do, his efforts were fruitless with the many pins holding up the strands, until she helped him out. Soon enough her blazing hair cascaded down her back.
As his hand started roaming all the way from her waist to her sides brushing against the bridge of her breasts, Caspian felt her getting tense again in his arms, gone was the bold woman that jumped him every moment she felt like it. In her place was the innocent yet shy young woman that was hidden deep down inside of her. Yet he loved this side of her as much as the other. So as to ease her nervousness, he took her mouth in a blazing kiss that robbed her of any coherent thought leaving a mass of raging need. She didn't realize when he wrapped her legs around his waist, or when he unlaced her dress fastenings or how she found herself lying on the soft large bed, all other clothes discarded.
All she remembered were the sensations brought to life by his hands, his touch, his kisses. How he showed her raw passion, yet at the same time made the pain turn into pleasure, made love to her again and again until she felt like floating as they both climaxed together, sweating bodies laying next each other. And when they were both spent, he tucked her safely to his side, with her head lying on his chest, then kissed her goodnight, as he saw his angel drift off to sleep, a small smile on her face. He then felt truly blessed, while Lucy's last thought before darkness claimed her was that she never felt more like a woman as when she was in Caspian's embrace.
The next morning, Lucy woke up to the feel of feather like kisses on her neck down to her shoulders. Recognizing those lips even in her sleep, she smiled while slowly opening her eyes turning to her other side until she came face to face with Caspian. The latter was already wide awake by then, watching his beautiful wife, propped on his elbow with his head on his hand, as she gave him his favorite heartbreaking smile.
"Morning, love, Sleep well?" he whispered in his morning voice, which was way too seducing with the husky timbre, Leaving Lucy a mass of raging female hormones way too early in the morning.
"Good morning, yes indeed I did, even though you woke me up two times in the night." She teased, blushing at the memories from the previous night.
"Well you're too damn irresistible for your own good." He said as he leaned to her lips between his as he bit down on her lower lip. She groaned at the sensation, still wanting more.
"You're such a tease." She pouted while glaring playfully at him.
"I am very shocked wife; you sure have a big appetite early in the morning."
"Only for you." She winked just before Caspian claimed her mouth once again and all time for talk was over.
"Caspian, where are you taking me?" Lucy asked for the tenth time as the man himself led her somewhere special while blindfolding her. After their earlier "activities", Caspian had brought her breakfast in bed then asked for a bath to be prepared. After properly cleaning each other, Caspian asked Lucy to pack some belongings while leaving most of her luggage to be bought by servants later. Then he saddled their horses and led her through the Narnian ground before apparently reaching their destination by early evening. A task that was not very comfortable for the valiant queen as she was already sore from her first time, but soon enough she left her own saddle and snuggled on her husband's lap until he called a stop and wrapped a cloth around her eyes.
"Here we are." He whispered against her ear, sending shivers all through her body down to her core, damn the effect he had on her. As soon as she blinked her eyes open after he untied her blindfold, Lucy was left speechless the second time in less than twenty four hours.
"This is my wedding gift for you, actually it's for the both of us."
"What…. How…. Oh by the lion's name Caspian, It's beautiful."
There stood before a beautiful castle, it was by no means Cair Paravel's size but it was majestic nonetheless, the whole façade was white, with blue tile tower roofs, the scenery was different all together. While Cair Paravel looked like it had risen from a cliff, this one looked like it came out from the water, floating on the lake surrounding it. Lucy couldn't describe her amazement; she just fell in love with the place. Caspian's voice interrupted her gaping:
"I built this castle as a wedding gift to you, I started the construction four years ago and it was only finished earlier this year. It was meant to be your sanctuary, where you could raise your children and have private time with your future husband, far from the stressful royal lifestyle, yet I never in my wildest dreams imagined that I would be the one you would be sharing your life with. So I gift this home for the both of us, and I wish that we could leave many happy memories in here."
"Oh Caspian, I love you, I love you, I love you." Lucy said, choking back tears while taking him in a bone crushing hug.
"I love you too, more than you can imagine, Lu" he said cupping her cheek tenderly, before he smiled a dazzling smile.
"Ready to explore?" he asked before she nodded eagerly. Just like that he scooped her in his arms, bridal style (pun intended), while she squealed in surprise.
"Caspian!"
"Sorry love, tradition shall be continued."
"Fine" she huffed rolling her eyes before he started heading towards the entrance.
"Do my siblings know- damn my siblings!" she remembered her eyes going round.
"What is it?"
"Do they actually know we're gone, we didn't even say goodbye."
"Oh please they must- damn I forgot to tell anyone."
Lucy couldn't believe she actually forgot about her brothers and sisters so easily, they say married life makes you forget but she was sure the saying wasn't applied to actual leaving people who have literally been with you all their life.
"Oh well they will figure out soon enough" Lucy concluded while Caspian shrugged, guess that was the case. They both stayed silent while he continued walking almost reaching the double doors before Lucy stated randomly.
"I can only imagine Susan's reaction"
"Or worse Peter's." they both tried to imagine the situation but it was still too damn funny, even in their minds.
Lucy believed that this is how their marriage would, full of surprises, love, friendship and most of all it would certainly be unpredicted. But guess that's something only fate could decide on, and she was looking forward to discovering those new grounds with her family by her side.
