And we're back with yet another chapter of the Wave! Up until now, I enjoyed writing this chapter the most - you'll see why when you read the chapter. Before you're going to skip these boring ANs (all of them) I want you to know that I am planning a new Lab Rats story (see profile) as well as a cross-over between Lab Rats and Mighty Med. Okay, now I only have to respond to the reviewer and then you can read the actual chapter:

LabRatsWhore: Yeah, poor Alan... it'll only get worse - won't say how, you've got to be patient. Thanks for your review!

Enjoy!

This was the beginning of yet another day. This day wouldn't be like any other, but that's going to be explained later. Anyway, for Gus and Jordan it was supposed to be a normal Friday, but it wasn't. As usual, she and Gus arrived before Oliver, Kaz and Connie would arrive. She was pretending not to hear Gus, who just thought Jordan was a very good listener (he was talking about the third time he tried to eat toast) and continued talking.

Yet, when there were only five minutes left before school would begin, Jordan looked around. The two would always arrive at this point, but they were never really late. As I mentioned earlier, today wasn't exactly a normal day, so Oliver and Kaz didn't come to school. They placed the safety and salvation of the world before English and math and would be going to the hospital in one hour, having told their parents school would start one hour later the next day for some vague reason. But Jordan didn't know this, so she was worrying.

Don't look at me like that, she really was worried about them. There is no other way to explain it, period. She'd been worried for the past weeks and she recalled some memories of this week while still ignoring Gus blabbering about toast and, to an extent, mayonnaise.

There was this one day where both of them looked quite absent-minded. She was used to Kaz not really caring about what happened at school, but this time Oliver didn't pay attention either. She had been keeping an eye on them ever since. And then Alan arrived, who just happens to be Connie's annoying cousin who just came here for one day of school, which was suspicious to say the least. And then there was the strange behavior of the two friends. She liked nothing more than teen drama, but this didn't feel right. It felt as if a third party had caused their friendship to break, and when a third party was involved, it wasn't as fun as spontaneous friendship break-ups.

She noticed they were acting strange. She noticed Kaz had pretended to be shocked or whatever it was supposed to look like yesterday. She noticed Connie's strange behavior and admitted she wanted to hear what she said to that person who rang her the other day.

"What do you think?" Gus said, taking Jordan out of her thoughts. She saw that he was looking at her expectantly, but she just rolled her eyes in response. And that is what changed her normal school day. Yes, it did. By rolling her eyes, she was able to look outside the school. And because she was able to look at whatever was happening in front of the school, she saw Connie Valentine walking away from the school.

"Gus, did you see that?" she immediately said, and Gus shook his head.

"If you mean Connie: no, I haven't." Jordan stared at him, confused, and Gus shrugged. "I know you well enough to know when you're talking about what person." Jordan sighed, looking at her watch. Three more minutes before school began… ah, screw it, she was going to get in trouble for ditching school anyway. And since Gus' parents didn't care about his grade or their son to an extent, Jordan dragged him out of the school building and they ignored the stares of the others as they started their chase after Connie Valentine.

It turns out following Connie Valentine wasn't easy to follow. She was walking through the crowds with the most people, going to the right and left whenever she pleased and it seemed like she wasn't going anywhere at all, but just randomly walking around in Philadelphia. Yet, Jordan wasn't going to give up just because she wasn't taking clear routes to her final destination. Gus, at the other hand, was whining about being out of shape, and wanted to go back to school because today the cafeteria was serving something he liked but she didn't care about enough to remember.

Eventually, when even Jordan was going to give up, Connie stopped walking. They had just walked a lot of miles in a lot of time, but they forgot to count how many. That didn't matter now, because they were standing in front of some rich family's big mansion. This can't be where she lives, Jordan thought, she isn't that rich, or else she would've bought nicer clothes. Then, she looked at Gus, who was staring at the home.

"Is that house one of yours?" she asked, whispering, fearing Connie would hear them if they talked out loud, even if she was at least ten yards away, across the street. Gus shook his head.

"Nope, not one of mine. But it does look familiar." Jordan nodded, and realized that she was agreeing with Gus for the first time in her life. That mansion (or manor, whatever you please) did look familiar. Had they seen it on some card, or on a picture?

A man walked out of the iron gates separating Philadelphia from the impressive mansion, and walked up to Connie. They could easily understand their words, but now they only had to figure out what it meant, especially since the guy was wearing a blue helmet.

"Good morning, Skylar," said the man, "Say, aren't you supposed to be at school?" Jordan frowned. Skylar. That weirdo had called Connie Skylar. Okay, she may look like Skylar Storm, but that was where it stopped. Connie clearly wasn't interested in comic books or saving the world. Maybe this was her uncle, and this was where Alan was all the days he had missed school.

Connie looked up when she saw the man. "I got a call. I'm waiting here for Alan to arrive with the package." What does Alan have to do with this? Jordan definitely wanted to stay longer and unravel the mystery behind Connie Valentine, while Gus was bored and counted the stones in the wall to see how many you need to build another brick wall.

"Do you have to call him the package?" the man said, "It doesn't exactly sound nice." Connie sighed and turned to the man. It was clear she was intimidating him, despite the difference in age.

"Why don't you call him that? You know he's just the package to blackmail Oliver and Kaz and serves no other purpose." Jordan raised an eyebrow. Now Oliver and Kaz were also mentioned. What was that girl doing here? She now was sure not to leave before she got it figured out.

"I don't know," the man replied, "It just doesn't feel right."

"Then you should make sure it feels right," Connie sneered, surprising Jordan – she's never seen her friend/acquaintance like that, "I don't have real trouble with it, do I? You're the one who wants to be a villain, so you better get used to calling some people the package, especially if you hire someone to do it."

This doesn't make sense at all. I'll spare you from any other confusing thoughts in Jordan's mind, but you're smart enough to figure it all out and eventually, Jordan will understand as well.

"Who says I'm going to hire people?" the man said, and Connie shrugged.

"You have the money. You'd be stupid if you wouldn't." the man shrugged, and Connie crossed her arms, staring at the helmet. "Why are you wearing that?"

"I don't like having my privacy invaded, and I have the feeling like Michael's stalking me."

"He's stalking you." Connie said bluntly, and Jordan imagined the man was surprised and disappointed.

"Why is he stalking me? I haven't done anything wrong, have I?"

"It's a necessary precaution, Henry. The Annihilator doesn't trust you enough to walk around without him knowing what you're doing." Jordan almost gasped for air when he heard Connie say 'the Annihilator'. She wasn't a comic book fan and none of the famous superhero movies stars the Annihilator yet, so she shouldn't know who the guy is.

Pieces started to fall into place. The Annihilator was the number one enemy of Skylar Storm. In the latest comic book series, he was gathering an evil army lead by him and Skylar Storm, his first-in-command. One of the first to join was NeoCortex, aka. Michael Carver, right after Tecton, Snow Storm and Blue Tornado. Then there was also Titanio, Henry Tidwell, who had joined them for his personal benefit and probably also so he could keep an eye on Gamma Girl, the woman he had a crush on.

Conclusion: Superheroes are real. This information shocked Jordan, and she told Gus what she had discovered, only to have to tell it again because he had been too focused counting the bricks in the wall. Gus said it was only logical, but he wouldn't say why, only that he had a feeling. They listened to Titanio's parting words.

"Well, I'd better go inside then. I'm going to have to talk to the Annihilator about my privacy," Skylar rose an eyebrow, and Titanio shrugged, "Hey, if I'm going to be a villain on my own, I will have to learn how to negotiate with them. This is a great exercise. Besides, I've got to tell Michael I still haven't given him permission to read my mind." Titanio went back in Tidwell Manor, and Connie (Skylar?) stayed outside, waiting for Alan and the package, whatever that meant.

Gus and Jordan quickly decided what they were going to do. This was unlike anything they've seen before. They had to do something (and they weren't going back to school, as Gus suggested three times). No, they really had to do something about Skylar Storm. If heroes were real, the world had the right to know about it. Besides, I the comics Skylar still has no powers. She'd be easy to take care of.

Eventually, Jordan jumped up, and Gus came up a second later. "Hey, Connie!" she yelled, and she and Gus walked closer to Skylar, who looked surprised.

"Guys! What are you doing here?" Skylar said, trying to sound innocent, but Jordan rolled her eyes.

"We could ask you the same thing." That was the plan. Jordan would talk to her while Gus would try to capture her. That was supposed to be very easy. Supposed, because Gus' genius plan was placing a sac on her head and hit her from behind.

That was a fatal mistake. Skylar pulled the sac from her head and focused on Gus, whom she easily intimidated and she mentally called out for help, knowing NeoCortex would tell their master she was in danger. But he didn't budge, holding up his fists, indicating he wouldn't run away from a fight. He was only growing anxious when she generated a plasma sphere, knowing what was coming next. One moment he was standing on his feet, and the next moment he was thrown back some yards, hit by the sphere she had thrown at him.

Jordan jumped on Skylar, placing her arms around the hero's head, making sure she would be able to see what was coming. For some seconds, Jordan's new tactic was successful, but then Skylar turned invisible and threw Jordan off her back. Jordan tried to get up, but Skylar – still invisible – held her down. Jordan struggled to stand up, yet she wouldn't succeed; Skylar's fingertips had turned pink (her hands were still invisible) and she placed it on Jordan's forehead.

Then, she turned visible again, looking at the young Normo girl. She had to admit Jordan and Gus did have some nerve, attacking a villain when she could call for support immediately. Speaking about support, Alley Cat rushed to her side, and she picked up the Normo girl, bringing her inside. This meant the Annihilator had plans with the two Normos she didn't care a lot about. She turned around to go and collect Gus, but he was gone. Eventually, she found him hiding behind a garbage bin, resisting, not wanting to come with Skylar and Alley Cat to the heroes he respected but didn't like now they were real and evil.

Skylar stunned Gus as well, and he immediately closed his eyes – he didn't have much of a choice. He only was immobilized because, according to Skylar, he screamed too much. If he had shut up, he wouldn't have to be immobilized.

She already could guess what the Annihilator wanted to do with them.
