Journey To The Emerald Island: Pot Of Gold
Erica pushed her way through the gold-less crowd, trying to find her spellmaster.
"Benny! Benny where the hell are you?!" She cries out, her heart racing. She finds herself on a full on search for him, asking everyone she could ask.
Suddenly, a dark door catches her eye. It says "For employees only." Erica rose a eyebrow.
"Wait a minute...that was not there before." She mumbled to herself as she picked up her dress and started to dash towards it. But unfortunately, when you wear a skinny green dress, things don't work when you run.
So Erica ended tripping over her own feet. She yelped as she almost landed on the floor. But something caught her. Someone rather.
"Hey Erica."
Erica looked up and gasped. "Benny!" She smiled as she hugged the spellmaster tight. The spellmaster chuckled as he fiddled with his shirt.
"Um, yeah. Who else would it be? C'mon. We are gonna go." He said. Erica frowned. "Wait. But that door might where all the gold be. We need to solve this Benny." Erica pleaded. Benny rolled his eyes.
"So what? Leave the authorities to do it. I wanna go back to our hotel and order some seafood or something. This is the only time we could actually relax." Erica sighed, taking one more longing look at the door.
"Fine." She huffed. Was this the aftermath of the missing necklace? But she tried not to think otherwise as Benny leaned in and whispered in her ear.
"You 'ought to promise me. You won't go after that door without me. I don't want you getting hurt or arrested." He said, half jokingly. Erica let go of all her stress and nodded, laughing uneasily.
"Okay. Let's go back and order some pizza, like you love." She teased, kissing his cheek firmly. Benny smirked, but at the same time, mentally slapped himself.
"Right. Pizza." He mumbled the words 'not seafood' as he trailed behind Erica, his mind swirling.
"Hey Erica?" Erica turned around to see Benny frown.
"Why am I even going anywhere with you?" He suddenly asked sorta angrily. Erica's heart started to race.
"Benny. This is just a spell. Try and break free." She said, tears streaming for some reason. Benny shook his head.
"F-Fine." He said shakily. Erica knew they had to find that necklace, and fast. If she didn't, who knows what would happen. Her and Benny's fate were tied through that one necklace. Who knows what would happen if it stays lost forever?
"Erica?" Benny said in slight annoyance. "Come on. We need to go now." Erica sighed. "Coming bossy." She teased. But Benny just grumbled as he led the way. Erica frowned.
"Something is off about you Benny." She said as Benny fiddled with the four leaf clover in his tux pocket. Erica caught up to him and tried to reach for the clover. Benny pushed Erica off as he growled.
"Hey! What the hell Erica?" He yelled. Erica took a step back as she started to cry. "I-I'm sorry." Benny's tone softened as he sighed.
"It's fine. Just don't touch this." He said softly, pointing to the clover. Erica rolled her eyes. "Those cannot be THAT rare in Ireland. What is so special about that one?" She asked, sort of hoping that Benny would throw in a flirt or something. But instead, he shrugged nonchalantly.
"Well, this is a four leaf clover. So why not keep it?" Erica nodded as she suddenly noticed something.
"I didn't know you went shopping."
Benny stopped in his tracks and turned around. "What?" He asked, quite timidly if Erica had anything to say about it. She nodded.
"Well, you had black shoes. I thought they matched the green, but I don't remember you packing brown ones. They sorta look familiar..." But Benny desperately tried to turn away from the situation.
"Mine gave me blisters, so Patrick let me borrow his." He said quickly. Erica sighed. "Whatever B. Sounds good to me."
And with that, Benny went through the elevator. He frowned when Erica didn't go with him.
"You coming Air?" He asked, using a unfamiliar nickname. Erica brushed it off as she shook her head.
"I'm gonna take a walk. Ireland is nice around this time." Benny sighed. "Fine. Just don't go where you are not supposed to go." He said sternly. Erica nodded as she blew him a kiss and the elevator closed.
That kiss was never caught.
Erica walked through the breezy sidewalks of Ireland. She picked up her torn dress, hoping there was some tailor shop that she could go for. Strangely, there was something else that caught her eye.
A book store.
Erica noticed it was still open at such a late time, so she quickly went in. The book store owner smiled at her.
"Welcome me lassie! To the Lucky Library." The man said, his curly moustache almost making Erica laugh.
"Thank you." She said quietly. The man smiled. "Now where would a young maiden like you be doing such late at night, especially with a pretty dress?" He asked. Erica blushed.
"Um, I am just taking a nice quiet night walk. I am sorta new to this place, and I could really get things off my mind." She said honestly. The man grinned. "Good. We have everything you possibly could need." He said, winking. Erica nodded uneasily as she wandered around the whole store. Some aisle caught her eye, and her guts told her to check them out.
Supernatural & Spells
"You a supernatural fan?" The man asked. Erica nodded. "Rather." Her stomach growled as her fangs sharpened out. She quickly groaned. She remembered she hadn't drank blood since she got here. Yeah, she had a cooler of blood in her hotel, but she really didn't want to go so far. Curly Moustache then flung something at her. She gasped.
"Ow! What the heck-" She was stopped when she saw what the man threw at her.
Blood.
One pint of blood was gushing around in the small plastic bag. She looked at the owner, who sharpened fangs of his own.
"Family is everywhere." He said quietly. Erica grinned as she drank the whole thing. She thanked the man again as she continued to search for books that might be useful to her. Suddenly, something caught her eye.
Pulling Of A Dusk: The Book For Supernatural Romances
Erica frowned; sure Benny was a mortal and she was dating a mortal when she was immortal. But was that really a dusk? For some reason, it drew her to open the book, which she did. She coincidentally opened to a page titled "Spellmaster + Vampire"
Her eyes scanned through the pages.
Spellmasters and Vampires have a irresistible love, that cannot be thrown apart by any spell or enchantment that blocks the flow of their love, such as the rare heirloom titled "The Circle Of Life."
And as Benny mentioned, she saw her missing necklace on the book. It looked so lifelike. Seriously. She traced her finger through the page with the heirloom as she sighed. "How am I going to find the necklace?" She pondered.
Her thoughts then fell on Benny and his strange attire/attitude. If what she read was true, then Benny and Erica were immune to the strange block of love. So they should be able to work around the enchantment.
So why was Benny acting like he hated her?
Erica brushed all the thoughts away as a new aisle appeared in Erica's vision. She totally missed this. Huge books, filled with writing and pictures of different gold. Erica read a few pages as she grabbed the book.
The bracelet owned by the Women In Scarlet It showed a enchanting bracelet, shaped like a dragon sort of.
The watch owned by the Orchestra Master It showed what seemed to look like a Rolex watch. Erica laughed, remembering Benny's words. These all seemed oddly familiar, but she couldn't put it past her. So she grabbed that book and she placed them on the checkout desk. The man smiled.
"I'm glad that you took thought in your guesses. It shall be you who will figure this out." He said as Erica payed and walked out, thanking the man once more.
"Wow. I wondered what that guy meant." She pondered as she walked home.
When she did reach her hotel, she saw Benny sleeping soundly under the sheets. He snored, which was odd to Erica since Benny was usually quite a quiet sleeper. Maybe it was something he ate.
She placed the books on the counter and climbed into bed, slipping out of her dress and into a nightgown. She buried her head under the pillows as she slept, thought swirling around her mind.
The boy walked through the store and threw two books on the counter.
"I wanna return these." He said scruffy. The man at the counter frowned.
"Why, these are the same books a fine lady brought in here. Are ye her lad?" He asked mysteriously. The boy rolled his eyes.
"Screw it ye maggot. Me lassie got tired of ye book. So me wanna refund." The man sighed as he payed the stranger back. "Fine. Have a good night."
The boy scoffed as he walked out, carrying a bag as he headed towards a secret place.
Meanwhile, the book owner flipped through the books. Every page was blank of pictures, except for words. He confusingly flipped through the romantic one, and saw above the heading "Circle Of Life", a blank space. He scratched his head.
"Why would a lassie buy this blank book?" He asked. "Why would she take such interest in a book with no pictures?"
He sighed, giving up as he closed the store and locked it.
A/N- This is getting good. I hope you guys catch on, and I will see you for the next chapter!
Drop a review and thanks for reading!
