DELETED SCENE #1) WEEK AFTER CHAPTER 16

"Sophia..." Spencer mumbled as he wrapped his arms around her waist just above her shorts. Sophia stayed on her stomach, turning her head till she was facing Reid and leaned closer to kiss his lips softly. Reid couldn't help but smile at the comfortable gesture, thankful that they were slowly making progress.

"Yes?"

"I wanted to ask you some...questions...about what happened to you."

Sophia scrunched her eyebrows slightly and Reid could feel her shoulders tense under his hands that rubbed her back gently. "Why? You have the...video...and you have...him...what more do you need?"

"He refused to plead guilty which means he'll have a trial."

"I have to take the stand..." Reid wasn't sure if this was a question or a statement but he nodded anyway.

"Probably. It's not a definite. But if you have to...Hotch wants you to be prepared for whatever might be brought up..."

"He won't take a plea bargain? I don't want to sit there and-and-and have to relive every miserable moment..." Her voice began to quiver and Reid was sure he saw tears forming at the corner of her eyes before she squeezed them closed, turning away from him.

"Morgan called me yesterday. Apparently he's refusing. He wants to..."

"Wants to ruin my life more than he already has? Is that even possible? Spencer, I can't. You don't understand."

"Make me, then. You and I both know that you need to talk about it. Please. I know it's hard. Believe me, I do. But we got through this once, we can-"

"That's just it Spencer! Why do we have to go through this again!? I'm sick of letting him rule my life! I just want to move on with my fucking life! We survived the first time because we weren't together. I don't...I don't want this to come between us."

"What makes you think this will ever come between us? I've told you already, I love you and nothing, I mean nothing, will ever stop me from loving you." Reid paused, reaching out to Sophia. He ran his fingers down her hair and heard her sigh before she turned back to face him. "You KNOW talking about it will help you. And maybe what you tell me won't be of any use. Maybe you won't have to testify. Morgan is talking with him again tomorrow and trying again."

"You caught him in the act...I don't understand. And you have videos..."

"Yes. And sadly it's enough for rape. Not torture or kidnapping. With his previous sentence the Virginia DA wants to go for the death sentence."

"Torture? Spencer..." He saw the look of panic on her face.

"I saw the marks on your back and the slash on your stomach..."

"Please..."

"We have his computer files but he didn't tape as much as we expected. We only have Brendan's word to connect him to the actual kidnapping and although that's more than enough for anyone else, Hotch wants no chance of him getting away with anything."

"Fuck Hotch, I don't care if he gets him on every fucking charge that he wants." She pounded her fist in anger against the bed. "I just want this to be over!" She attempted to scream though her voice caught as a small sob left her throat.

"Sophia...Hotch is just trying to make sure he'll never be a threat again. Please...just..." Reid stopped taking a deep breath in. "I promise I will try to hardest to convince Hotch that you don't have to stand trial, that the videos are enough. But whether you go to court or not, you should still talk about what happened."

Sophia finally looked up from the bed to look Reid in the eye, surprised by what she saw. Reid stared at her softly but Sophia could see the passion and determination that he was trying to hold back in his voice. He wasn't going to give up.

She turned slightly in the bed, curling into his side. "Fine…" she sighed, her hot breath ghosting across Reid's neck.

"I'm sorry…I know you don't want to..." Sophia just nodded, wrapping her arms tighter around Reid, whether it was for comfort or a way to ensure he wasn't going to leave her, he wasn't quite sure.

"Where do you want me to start?"

"The beginning is always a good place to start" he answered with a smile.

This chapter has been sitting in my folder for so long and I was never sure if I should add it so I left it out. I'm still so indifferent about it and the other three-four chapters that go along with it. I felt like it was just unneeded shit...whatever...hope you enjoyed
