Sydney + Adrian
"Let's watch a movie tonight," suggests Sydney as they are walking home one afternoon. Rose had told her earlier to "go watch a movie or something with Adrian" earlier in an attempt to get her to loosen up.
Adrian looks uncomfortable. "Um…sure. What movie do you want?"
She decides to play with him for a bit. I can be relaxed, Rose. "I'm not sure."
"Maybe we should just, ah, go to the library tonight?" he replies. He's probably expecting her to choose a documentary or something extremely dry.
She snorts. "Let's watch Twilight."
"What?" he says, face flushing.
"Yeah," she says nonchalantly. "I think the sparkly-vampires idea is sexy."
His jaw drops in shock.
"Plus, don't you think Taylor Lautner is hot?" she continues. With all these years of Alchemist work, she's got a great poker face.
Adrian takes in a deep breath, looking visibly stressed out.
"Twilight vampires sound so cute! Edward is any girl's dream guy!" she squeals.
Adrian's fist clenches. "I—I—" he sputters out.
That's when Sydney begins laughing. "Oh, my God…the look on your face…" she gets out before succumbing to the giggles.
Adrian turns slightly pink—he can't full-out blush, as the Moroi paleness prevents it. When Sydney stops laughing, she finally says, "Actually, I was thinking…do you want to see The Exorcist?"
Adrian grins. "Sweeney Todd?"
"Both?" they say at the same time, and as they walk home, Sydney promises to herself that she will try to let loose and prank her boyfriend more often.
