3 (short *ahem*) chapters in one day? I'm proud of myself ;).
Jill + Eddie
"Wanna go watch a movie with me tonight?" says Eddie.
Jill smiles. "Sure. Can we watch the Katy Perry movie?"
"Um…" Eddie winces and Jill laughs. Fooled you.
"I'm just kidding. What do you have in mind?"
Eddie grins cheekily. "Can we watch a Pokémon movie?"
It's Jill's turn to wince. "What?" My boyfriend is into…Pokémon?
"Yeah! My favorite Pokémon is Togepi! It's so cute!" he exclaims, wide-eyed and excited.
Is he for real? Is her boyfriend seriously excited about a phase she went through as a first grader? She loves him, but…that's just awkward.
But he's already done so much for her, from loving her to saving her life, so she reluctantly says, "Sure."
When they get back to his apartment, he takes out a DVD and puts it in, then goes to sit next to her, wrapping an arm around her. She thinks that maybe this won't be so bad.
Actually, it probably will, but he's worth it.
But when the movie starts playing, she doesn't see anime and little creatures.
Could it be?
"This isn't—this isn't Pokémon!" she cries out in relief. Eddie laughs.
"Did you actually believe that?" he guffaws. Jill isn't even mad at him for fooling her. She's too relieved to be watching The Matrix instead of a kids' movie.
