14 – Masyaf Attack
Still angry, Maria walked to the quarters of Altaïr and knocked twice on the door. Turning her head and looked to where Malik was, she was about to knock again, but this time she felt a hand on her wrist.
"Careful..." a voice said.
Alarmed, she looked to the owner of the hand.
"Altaïr..." she said.
"Maria..." he said. "What are you doing here?"
He was surprised to see her alt all after what happened, further more at this hour.
"I..." she started." I wanted to talk to you about..."
Altaïr knew right away that they were going to be fine. She continued:
"But when I was coming here, I heard a conversation... and then Malik..." She said looking at him. "Two men were talking about attacking tonight..."
"What?" Altaïr said. "Where did you hear it?"
"Here, in the Garden..." She said. "I was careful to not let them see me..."
Altaïr was fully alert now.
"Come, let's reunite the others and discuss it on the library..."
Maria nodded.

Malik was on the labrary, with some of the others Assassins, when Altaïr and Maria arrived.
"Malik..." he said. "We have a situation..."
"So I've heard..." Malik said. "What do you want to do?"
"Till we can indentify the traitor, we can't do much, but..." Altaïr said, turning to Maria. "You saw them once... can you do it again?"
"I'm not sure... I can try..." She said.
"Good, reunite the men in front of the castle..." Altaïr said to the others assassins.
"But, Altaïr... you're going to believe her? She barely saw anything..." Malik said.
"It's better than nothing..." he said, ordering the assassinos to go. "Go..."
The Assassins didn't say anything, just got up and went to retirve the others

All the Assassins were reunited in front of the castle of Masyaf. Altaïr had Maria at one side and Malik at the other. Maria was trying to indentifiy the men she saw, as Altaïr already tried with his eagle ability, but it was no use.
"Can you see them, Maria?" Altaïr asked.
"I'm trying..." she said.
"Try harder..." Malik said.
Maria sighed and looked again... until... she saw the mano n the garden...
"There..." she said to Altaïr, who nodded.
He looked at the one of scholars. The man, doing his paly on the plan tried to scape, but the Assassins around him picked his arms and went to the fornt of the crowd.
"Any words?" Altaïr asked.
"Traitor..." Malik said, but Altaïr rised his hand.
"Let him speak..." He said to Malik.
Malik nodded.
"Why did you betray us?" Altaïr asked yet again. "I had hope in you Simas..."
"I... I don't know what you're talking about..." Simas said.
"Oh, you don't know?" Maria asked. "I heard you in the garden..."
"Heard me?" Simas asked. "I was my bed..."
"Can you prove it?" Altaïr asked.
"Yes…" said Simas, waiting for a few seconds, then making the sign to the attack. And all the hell broke loose…
