Me: I am *strikes a pose* back

Fang: About time

Me: Where's Max

Fang: sulking about only being in about 3 or so chapters in the entire fanfic

Me: Oh... well I don't own everything in this fanfic, I do however own any cameos and OCs that may or may not appear throughout the fanfic. Onto the story!

I entered Telma's Bar to hear what must have been the end of an argument. A man who must of been a doctor shouted, "I can't do anything else for this boy!" Followed by a flustered yet familiar voice, "But doctor if something isn't done the boy will..." Her cry went in vain as Illia came into my view and the "good" doctor had already left the bar.

She looked at me and in an unusual reaction left as if she didn't know me. She sat down beside the Zora boy in frustration and exasperation as a larger woman, most likely Telma, came over to her and said, "A human doctor won't do. But that old coot reminded me, I've heard that there was a shaman in Kakariko who treats Gorons and Zoras." At this Illia got up in excitement and said, "Then maybe if we take the boy there." A Hylian guard surrounded by a few more soldiers stepped in at this and said, "Inadvisable, the trip there is too dangerous, but we can't turn a blind eye to a pretty girl in need either, which is why we'll escort you two." Telma smiled and said, "Isn't that nice, the trip to Kakariko takes us through two fields that are both filled with dangerous monsters, but now that these brave soldiers are here we should be fine." Something tells me those "men" won't be staying around. Sure enough, before Telma looked up all but one soldier had fled, and then he fled too.

"Cowards!", Telma shouted, "Don't ever show your faces here again!" That's when she saw me and said, "Looks like we still have one young swordsman." I answer, "I heard about your problem and would like to help you get to Kakariko, I know Renaldo the Shaman."

Telma then said to Illia, "And he said he'll take us to Kakariko. Get ready to go, pronto honey." Illia ran off to get ready. Telma then said, "You know her don't you?" I answered her, "I do, but she doesn't seem to recognize me." She then said, "It's a real shame, she can't even remember her own name right now. Bless her heart, she found the boy collapsed on the road. She did everything she could to save her, more courage in her than all the soldiers in Hyrule. You give your strength to her you hear?" I nodded.

After an hour or so we found ourselves at some sort of viewing platform. We were looking the very bridge that I jumped off of when the place was in twilight. On it was the King of the Bublins himself. Telma then said to me, "If what you said is correct and the bridge of Eldin has been destroyed, that leaves us with one this bridge, which means you'll have to deal with this thing." All I could think was, 'Can't a guy just die?'

We then found ourselves in a small valley. Telma driving a covered wagon and Illia and Ralis in the back. Illia looked out at me and asked, "If it's okay could I ask your name?" I answered, "My name is fang." She looked up deep in thought as if remembering something, but then said, "I will never in all my life forget your kindness fang." Telma then said, "I'd save your thankyous for when we're safely in Kakariko if I were you. This swordsman of ours has sharp eyes that are proud and fierce like a feral beast, we need a feral beast right now to keep the true ones at bay." I also chipped in and said, "Don't worry you can count on me.

*few hours later due to pure hatred of escort quest*

We were outside the abandoned hotel in Kakariko as I stood by Collin. Renado came out and said, "He has passed through the worst of it, with some rest he should be fine." Collin then said, "I'll stay with him until he's all better." Renado smiles and nods, then said to me, "Do you know the fate of his mother, he talks about her deliriously in her sleep." I look to the ground and shake my head, Renado, taking in my message bowed his head and said, "I see, it pains you to say, it must have been an awful memory." Collin then said, "Is it true about Illia." Renado then said, "Yes, it seems she has no memories, and regaining them will not be an easy task. Do not fear, with time Illia will find her heart again, so for the time being, I'd like to ask you to remain in this village, it is now time for us to show the same courage that you have already shown us." He nodded and ran inside no doubt to go to Ralis. Renado walked off.

Telma walked up to me and said, "You did great today honey." I said, "It was nothing, I couldn't just do nothing." She then continued, "You have great skills, any ideas about putting those skills for the good of Hyrule." I said, "I was thinking along those lines, why?" she continued, "Hyrule is in dark times, what little hope there is, is frail and dying. However, there is an underground group working for the better of Hyrule, I'm a member of that group. My bar serves as a haven of sorts, it connects directly to the waterways of Hyrule Castle." She then looked at me and said, "I'll stay around a little longer, I'm still a little worried about Illia, and...well never mind about the rest." She looked at Renado and said, "Fang, I want to see you at my bar again, you hear? By the way, call me Telma." We shook hands and she ran off to catch up to Renado.

I went to go back into the inn to get some much needed rest when I felt the presence of a spirit. I turned to see Rutela floating in front of me, she then said, "Young hero, follow me this way." I followed her to the graveyard. She then opened up a passage behind a stone that revealed a tunnel. I crawled through the tunnel to end up in a small spring.

On the other side was a large gravestone. Floating by it was the executed queen. I stretched my wings out and flew to the other side. Rutela then said, "Young hero of another world, I must thank you for bringing my Ralis here, this place is sacred to the Zoras, it's where we rest our souls. It is no coincidence my son found his salvation here. I stretched my wings out and flew to the other side. Rutela then said, "Young hero of another world, I must thank you for bringing my Ralis here, this place is sacred to the Zoras, it's where we rest our souls. It is no coincidence my son found his salvation here." She then continued, "I now know that the power to breath under water is useless to you, however, there is something here that will be of use to you."

The gravestone moved revealing two things, a garment which was of no use to me, and a small red jewel. Rutela then continued, this item will allow you to swim as fast as a Zora, without tire and protect you from fire and ice." Useful, actually useful. The spirit continued, "There is one thing I regret, my son, I fear he knows nothing of my fate, would you please inform him of my fate?" I nod, she relaxed and said, "Now I can finally pass on, hero of another world, I wish you luck." With that I go to Barne's, exchange my bombs for water bombs. Head outside Kakariko, spread my wings, and fly towards the Lake Hylia.

Finally! Chapter nine is done. Now to do the...duh duh dun. The Lakebed Temple. Until next time.
