I decide to land outside of the city for a change only to be greeted by a mailman who delivers a letter from Renado's asking me to stop by if I could. Seeing as I had nothing to lose, and after I stopped by for the usual chat at Thelma's, I head to Kakariko to talk to Renado. Once I get there I am greeted not only by Renado but one of the Goron Elders and the Goron chief. Darbus, who's the chief, says to me, "When I heard about this girls trouble I could not help but come see what I could do, we all need to help one another, not that there's anything you could do for me little one." I nod looking at the elder for an explanation which is that no one told him I saved his but when he was possessed by the fused shadow. Renado hands me a letter to give to Thelma asking for any help for Illia. I look at Illia and realize I need to do everything I can to help. I take off for Thelma's.
When I get into Thelma's I give her the letter from Renado. She then tells me there's not much she can do to help me. She does tell me to go talk to the doctor who helped her when she got into the city. To get him talking she gives me his running tab, or magic little paper as she called it, for her bar. Curiosity got me looking at the bottom number which was what he owed Thelma and found the number astronomically high. I almost dropped the paper in shock. I head to the doctors to get any information he knew out of him.
When he notices me he remembers me as and I quote 'The Guy Who helped the Zora child for nary a rupee'. Then he asked if there was something he could do for me like a check up or something and asked if I had any money on me for this. Instead of answering I hold up the tab from Thelma's and as she promised he talked. He tells me he can't pay the tab right now and would've had the money if he had sold the small statue that Illia had forgotten at the office. Apparently he had spilled some medicine on it and set it out to dry so it wouldn't stink anymore. Then it got stolen from him. It got stolen from the guy who basically stole it in the first place, ironic I know.
After using my wolf scent to find the medicine's scent, more like oder, I find my way back to Thelma's where her cat Louise is waiting for me. She says she stole it from the doctor and it got stolen from her. I thank her for stealing it from the doctor as the medicine could help Illia and ask her where I can find the thieves that stole it from her. She tells me where they usually are and that they only come out at night and I'll have to beat them all to get the statue back. I thank her and head off to where the thieves were seen last. When night falls I take out the thieves and get the small statue back. Then I take off towards Kakariko.
I hand Illia the small statue and she reacts to it. She then says, "I remember, I was imprisoned in a small village with someone. Then that someone set me free." She then becomes scared and says, "Then that means the person who helped me is still trapped. Why can't I remember more?" Then the elder remembers, "There was a tiny hidden village just north of here, but a landslide blocks the entrance now and the village is crawling with monsters." He turns to the Chief and both nod, the Chief heads out toward the hidden village. The elder then says to me, "This is a Goron problem, best not get involved." Then he whispers the best route to me and I head out.
When I reach the tunnel I find the Chief punching a rock wall. Then with a surge of energy he bashes the wall in. He turns to me and says, "Beyond here is a place long forgotten with time." He smells the air and says, "It reeks with evil, I smell 30…no, no more than 20 evil beings. Be careful." I nod and move so he can roll away. I head in and take out each of the Bubblins that had taken over the village.
Then a door at the very end of the road into the village opens and a woman steps out and says, "The moans have all stopped, how?" I walk up to her and she says, "A person, forgive me for not opening up the door." I say, "Don't sweat it, with all the monsters I don't blame you." She nods and says, "Are you by any chance Fang?" I nod and she continues, "The young girl who was here often talked about how you would come and never lost hope that you would." I smile thinking about how I had given Illia the strength to fight on. The woman pulls out a small charm that looks like horse grass and hands it to me and says, "Could you give this to the young girl, she held it close to her heart but didn't hesitate to leave it behind when the time to escape came. She begged me to go with her but until a certain someone comes here my fate is tied to this village."
I think and show her the dominion rod to her and she exclaims, "Is that the dominion rod. Then that must make you the messenger of the sky. Please take this." She hands me an ancient book and I put it in my pouch and leave after getting a wolf song.
I arrive back in Kakariko and give Illia her charm back. She once again reacts and gets her memories back. She remembers me and gives me the charm for my journey. I head down into the basement of the building and meet up with shad who was studying the owl statue. I show him the book Impaz gave me and he nearly drools over it and says the word inside it. The owl statue however does not react and he goes off to cool off. However, I hear a weird noise coming from my pouch. Turns out that was the word Ookoo couldn't remember. I then remember all the owl statues I saw across Hyrule, including the one in the desert.
*Funky Owl Time Skip*
Back in the basement I hand Shad the book once more and he's excited. "You actually went out and found more of the letters? Thank You!" I nod and he tries the new word and the owl statue turns into what the rest of the owl statues look like. He once again goes to cool off. I use the dominion rod to reveal a hidden staircase. At the bottom is a cannon in disrepair. "Fang?!" I turn to see shad in disbelief looking at the cannon and says, "How did you move that statue?" I look at the cannon then back to him and realize that as long as he's standing there I can't move the statue to where I want to go. This is Lake Hylia because of Cannon Guy who would know something about how to fix this cannon. "Um, I don't know how to say this…" I begin when he says, "I am perhaps in your way? Sorry, it's a bad habit of mine, I'll go and you tell me the results of what happens next." I nod and head to Lake Hylia. After getting the cannon fixed for 300 rupees. I use my clawshot to get in the cannon which promptly launches me towards the last mirror shard along with Ookoo who climbs in at last second.
Me: Two chapters, one day
Fang: Don't hurt yourself
Max: Some people want to see how this story ends…it's not me
Me: Whatever, read, review no flames
