JOE and OLEGMON's crew cheer in excitement. ZUDOMON reverts to GOMAMON and jumps aboard onto the MAIN DECK. MERMAIMON places the chest down. A recovered OLEGMON walks to JOE and GOMAMON.
OLEGMON:
*hearty laughter* We finally did it! *hugs JOE and GOMAMON hard* Thanks to you two lads, the treasure is safe and we are free to roam to new oceans! How we can we ever repay ya?
GOMAMON:
*choked* You can...start...by letting go...of us?
OLEGMON:
Oh. *lets go* Sorry. *to JOE* Doc-tor Joe, I have never seen such vitality protecting the chest. You are truly a proud member of the crew!
JOE:
*embarrassed* Aw, you're guys embarrassing me.
OLEGMON:
*to GOMAMON* Gomamon, that was truly a shocking finishing blow you've brought to the serpent.
GOMAMON:
Aw, shucks. It was nothing.
JOE:
Hey, come to think of it: I wouldn't expect an Ultimate like Zudomon to defeat a Mega-type. Gomamon, how did you manage to destroy MetalSeadramon?
GOMAMON:
I don't know. *points up* All I did was absorb the lightning from those clouds with my hammer and broke his armor apart.
AERIAL SHOT of the clouds covering the skies.
JOE:
(off-screen) Well, you hope you did the right thing cuz something weird going to happen.
The clouds were making an opening in the sky as light shines down from the clouds.
GOMAMON:
The light...is a good thing, right?
MERMAIMON:
What's happening?!
A silhouette resembling a dragon was appearing from behind the clouds. The silhouette reveals itself as a Digimon.
JOE:
Is that a...flying dragon?

Greetings. I wish to mean you no harm. Please forgive me for arriving late on short notice.
GOMAMON:
Are you a...Digimon?
?:
Yes. You should thank me for assisting you in battle, young Gomamon.
GOMAMON:

JOE:
Hold on a minute. How do you know his name?

I know each and every aquatic Digimon that ever walked on the face of the Digital World.

What kind of Digimon are you?

I am a sovereign.
GOMAMON:
What's a sovereign?
JOE:
A sovereign is a like a ruler who protects its own kind.
?:
Such a wise answer, young human. I am Azulongmon.
JOE:
Azulongmon?
OLEGMON:
*scratches chin* Hmm...I heard stories of a legendary Digimon before.
AZULONGMON:
I am one of the four Digimon Sovereigns that protect the Digital World from certain danger. I am protector of the Eastern Digital World and guardian of all seas and skies.
JOE:
Wait a minute...I think I know what he's talking about.
GOMAMON:
Huh?
BEGIN BRIEF FLASHBACK.
EXT. KYOTO - MARKETPLACE
Camera TILTS DOWN from the sky to the marketplace. A younger JOE looking happy while his older brother JIM purchased a scroll from the merchant stand.
JOE:
(v.o.) I remember that my and brother Jim went on a family trip to Kyoto. My brother brought a scroll with four creatures drawn over it.
ANGLE ON: SCROLL
JOE:
(v.o.) The scroll said that Kyoto is believed to protected by four guardian spirits.
CLOSE-UP SHOT on picture of a creature resembling a tortoise.
JOE:
(v.o.) The North of Kyoto is protected by a giant tortoise...
Camera moves SOUTHWEST to a picture of a creature resembling a tiger.
JOE:
(v.o.) The West is protected by a tiger...
Camera moves SOUTHEAST to a picture of a creature resembling a bird.
JOE:
(v.o.) The South is guarded by a phoenix bird...
Camera moves NORTHEAST to a picture of a creature resembling a dragon.
JOE:
(v.o.) And the East is protected by a dragon.
FULL SHOT of the scroll.
JOE:
(v.o.) With all four guardians in place, they've protected Kyoto from danger and maintained peace throughout the land.
END FLASHBACK.
EXT. OLEGMON's SHIP - MAIN DECK
AZULONGMON:
Yes, the Kyoto tale was an true inspiration during the creation of the Digital World. It is my duty to keep order in balance as possible.
GOMAMON:
Then...what are you doing here?
AZULONGMON:
Are you both familiar with a man with Gennai?
JOE:
Yes?
AZULONGMON:
He and the other "Gennais" from across the world have assigned me and the Sovereigns to travel across time-and-space and gather as many allies as possible.
GOMAMON:
Sounds difficult if you ask me.
AZULONGMON:
On the contrary, I traveled to different oceans and recruited DigiDestined who specialized in aquatics. Out of all the recruits, you are different among the others. I recall that you are the DigiDestined with the Crest of Reliability.
OLEGMON:
Not only he's reliable; but a great medical expert as well.
AZULONGMON:
You must be Captain Olegmon. I've heard about you. A reformed general who now devotes his life in helping others.
OLEGMON:
I am flattered, o legendary one. Still, it would a shame to see you two leave so soon.
JOE:
What do you mean?
OLEGMON:
We can't let you lads swim off alone in the golden sea. You two are part of the crew now. The least we could do in return is aid you on your quest.
AZULONGMON:
Yes, I believe it's acceptable. You two managed to find a vessel worth of travelling with many Digimon aboard for assistance.
GOMAMON:
Hmm...seems fair to me.
JOE:
...All right. *shakes OLEGMON's hand*
OLEGMON:
*hearty laughter* Great!
JOE:
*to AZULONGMON* Just tell us where to go.
AZULONGMON turns northwest in the sky.
AZULONGMON:
Your destination to the center is northwest over the horizon.
JOE:
Thank you, Azulongmon. We won't let you down!
AZULONGMON:
A brief warning: Be prepared; the forces of darkness will strike at any unexpected rate.
AZULONGMON starts flying into the clouds.
JOE:
Wait, are you sure-?
AZULONGMON:
I wish not to repeat myself. I am a sovereign; not a tape recorder. Good luck.
AZULONGMON exits scene. JOE and GOMAMON look at each other for a brief moment.
OLEGMON:
(off-screen) You've heard the flying dragon! Set course northwest!
MERMAIMON and the crew set the sails as the ship was turning northwest.
CLOSE-UP:
JOE:
Azulongmon may have a point. Who knows what's bound to show up next? We better be ready, Gomamon. Gomamon? *turns around*
GOMAMON was digging inside the treasure chest.
JOE:
Gomamon!
GOMAMON pops out of the chest. Inside the chest was plastic bottles and recycled soda cans.
GOMAMON:
This isn't treasure! It's nothing but old soda cans and plastic bottles.
OLEGMON:
*embarrassed* Oh, is that what these things are? Boy, you humans know more about valuable treasure than we do.
Everyone (excluding GOMAMON) was laughing as the ship starts sailing off northwest.
Scene CUTS to:
EXT. INFINITY ICE RIDGE - SNOWY FOREST AREA
FULL SHOT of the area with wind blowing. A silhouette was covered in the wind. The silhouette walks towards the camera and reveals himself to be TOMMY HIMA. TOMMY was shivering cold while trying to hold himself for warmth.
TOMMY:
*calls out* Takuya!
No answer. TOMMY's POV SHOT of the wind blowing around the area.
TOMMY:
*off-screen; calls out* Koji! Zoe! J.P.! Anybody?!
TOMMY kneels on the ground while still holding himself.
TOMMY:
(Oh, what am I going to do? My friends are nowhere in sight and it's tough to handle things on my own.) *kneels up with a slight confident face* (But, I gotta be brave. I can handle anything that comes in my way. Anything at all.)
?:
(off-screen) Whee!
TOMMY:
Huh? What was that?
TOMMY hears the squeal and runs over through the wind.
TOMMY:
Where is it coming from?
The wind speed was slowing and the sight was starting to become clear. TOMMY finds himself on an edge of a hill. In TOMMY'S POV, camera pans LEFT to see a little girl sliding downhill in the snow.
TOMMY:
Wha-? What's a little girl doing in a place like this?
In TOMMY's POV, camera quick pans RIGHT to the a cliff at the end downhill.
TOMMY:
*gasps* She's gonna fall! Don't worry, kid! *takes out D-Tector* I'll save you! *scans hand with fractal code* Execute...Spirit Evolution!
Fractal code surrounds TOMMY and fuses with the Human Spirit of Ice in a Digimon.
KUMAMON:
Kumamon!
KUMAMON summons his skis and slides down the hill after the little girl.
?:
*laughs*
The little girl was near the end. KUMAMON looked scared and changes his expression to a serious face. He slides down the hill faster. HEAD SHOT of the oblivious little girl enjoying the fun.
KUMAMON:
(off-screen) Hey, kid!
The little girl turns her head and sees KUMAMON near her.
?:
Aw, a cute little polaw bear!
KUMAMON:
*pulls arm near her* Take my hand, quick!
?:
Okay!
The girl grabs KUMAMON's hand and climbs on his back.
KUMAMON:
Hang on!
KUMAMON and the little girl jump over the cliff and land on the other side safely.
?:
*climbs down* That was fun! Can we do it again?
KUMAMON:
I don't think now it's the best time.
?:
You seem like a fwiendly polaw bear. Wanna play with me?
KUMAMON:
Uh...well...you see...
?:
(off-screen) Suzy!
A brown rabbit-like Digimon flies to the little girl. KUMAMON looks confused.
KUMAMON:
(Suzy?)
SUZY:
Oh, there you are, Lopmon!
LOPMON:
What did I tell you about running off like that?
SUZY:
I just wanted to play in the snow.
LOPMON:
*turns to KUMAMON* And who is this?
SUZY:
I don't know but he sure looks fwiendly.
KUMAMON:
Wait a minute. Hold on. *to SUZY* Is this Digimon...yours, little girl?
SUZY:
That's wight. My name is Suzy Wong. And this is my partner Lopmon.
KUMAMON:
Partner? Does that you're a...?
LOPMON:
That's right. I'm Suzy's Tamer.
SUZY take sout her D-Power.
KUMAMON:
(A Digivice?! That seems impossible for a girl her age and-)
SUZY:
What's your name?
KUMAMON:
*sighs* Kumamon.
SUZY:
That's a cute name!
LOPMON:
Come to think of it, we never seen a Digimon like you before.
KUMAMON:
Oh, that's because...*nervous* I...lived here my own life?
LOPMON:
Hmm?
SUZY:
Wow, that's amazing!
KUMAMON:
Just exactly how did you two end up here?
SUZY was making a snow angel in the background while LOPMON walks to KUMAMON.
LOPMON:
When there was danger back in our universe, Suzy wanted to help her older brother Henry fight off the creatures.
MEDIUM SHOT of KUMAMON listening.
LOPMON:
(off-screen) But, Henry was concerned and asked me to watch her with their parents. Until, Suzy saw Henry entering "some giant doughnut" and followed him in.
SUZY was giggling and dances around in the background.
LOPMON:
(off-screen) I tried to stop her, but it was too late. So, we ended up here and she wanted to play in the snow instead of finding a way back home.
KUMAMON:
I'm sorry to hear that. But, I don't think this area is safe for her age. She might get hurt if she keeps on playing here.
LOPMON:
Then, there's only one option for us to do.
KUMAMON:
What's that?
LOPMON:
As long as we "play" with Suzy, we'll keep protecting her till you help us find a way out.
KUMAMON:
It's a deal.
SUZY happily runs around.
KUMAMON:
(off-screen) Suzy!
SUZY:
Hmm?
KUMAMON:
You wanna have fun in the snow? Let's have fun!
SUZY:
Yay!
BEGIN MONTAGE.
KUMAMON runs around the field with SUZY and LOPMON. HEAD-SHOT of KUMAMON looking happy till a snowball from off-screen and hits his head. KUMAMON turns to SUZY and LOPMON. SUZY and LOPMON point at each other. KUMAMON smirks and makes a few snowballs. He throws them at SUZY and LOPMON. SUZY was giggling while dodging the snowballs. LOPMON picks up a few snowballs with her ears. KUMAMON looks shocked. LOPMON throws them at KUMAMON. KUMAMON avoided the snowballs and takes out his launcher. SUZY and LOPMON try to defend themselves. KUMAMON fires numerous snowballs from his launcher while SUZY and LOPMON counterattack with numerous snowballs. The three laugh while getting hit by snowballs.
Scene FADES to the three sliding down a hill. SUZY and LOPMON were on KUMAMON's back while KUMAMON ski jumps over multiple small hills.
Scene FADES to the three making snowmen. KUMAMON was making a normal snowman. Camera pans RIGHT to LOPMON making a snowman in shape of her. LOPMON notices something on the right off-screen. She gestures KUMAMON over to the very right. Camera pans RIGHT to reveal SUZY making a snowman in shape of KUMAMON. KUMAMON looked surprised as SUZY hugs him. KUMAMON slowly smiles and pats SUZY on the head.
END MONTAGE.
Camera tilts DOWN to KUMAMON, SUZY and LOPMON watching over the entire over a large hill.
SUZY:
This is the most fun I've ever had!
KUMAMON:
You're not the only one.
LOPMON:
What do you mean?
KUMAMON:
Honestly, I never fun in the snow like this in a long time. With you two around, I feel...happy I made new friends.
LOPMON:
That's very kind of you.
SUZY:
Thank you, Kumamon. *hugs him*
Camera tilts up to KUMAMON looking nervous.
KUMAMON:
(Suzy's such a sweet kid. But, I can't stay as Kumamon too long. If I reveal my true self, she might be disappointed. I don't wanna break your heart. It's hard to imagine to what Lopmon will react after lying to her like that.)
LOPMON:
(off-screen) Are you okay?
KUMAMON:
Oh! I'm fine. Just fine. *nervously chuckles*
LOPMON:
That's good. It'll be over soon as Suzy and I find our way out.
SUZY:
(off-screen) Lopmon, look!
SUZY points out to something off-screen. KUMAMON and LOPMON run to SUZY on a tall hill edge.
LOPMON:
What is it, Suzy?
SUZY:
Look at the pwetty palace!
LOPMON:
*turns to SUZY's direction* What palace?
KUMAMON:
*turns* Whoa.
EXT. INFINITY ICE RIDGE - ICE DOMAIN
Camera slowly ZOOMS OUT FULL SHOT of the domain.
SUZY:
(off-screen) It's huge.
LOPMON:
(off-screen) It looks like someone or something must be in charge around this area.
KUMAMON:
(off-screen) Yeah, no kidding.
LOPMON:
Wait, *turns to KUMAMON* do you know who lives in that domain?
KUMAMON:
Huh? *nervously* Oh, yeah. I'm sure he or she probably knows the way home.
SUZY:
(off-screen) Hey, what's that?
The three see something something off-screen. Camera zooms IN on the top of the domain where a figure is climbing up to the top.
KUMAMON:
It looks like...a human.
SUZY:
It's pwobably Henwy! *leans closer; waves out* Henwy!
LOPMON & KUMAMON:
Suzy, wait!
The two try to pull SUZY in but all three of them accidently fall and slide to the bottom of the hill near the domain.
LOPMON:
Well, that was...unpleasant.
LOPMON:
What?
SUZY:
But what if it's Henwy?
KUMAMON:
I don't think that's your brother.
KUMAMON's POV SHOT of the figure almost to the top of the domain entrance.
KUMAMON:
(off-screen) If he were your brother, he'd probably have his Digimon on him.
LOPMON:
*tries to observe from distance* Hey, he's right. I don't see Terriermon around him.
KUMAMON starts climbing on the domain.
SUZY:
Kumamon, where are you going?
KUMAMON:
I'm getting to the bottom of this problem.
SUZY:
I think you mean the top.
KUMAMON:
Just listen to me. Stay with Lopmon! She's your partner; she'll protect you! I'm not sure who or what is happening up there. It's probably dangerous.
LOPMON:
What are you talking about? You told us you lived here your own life.
KUMAMON:
...*sighs* Actually...
LOPMON:
Hmm?
KUMAMON:
I think it's time you should know the truth.
KUMAMON reverts back to TOMMY. SUZY and LOPMON gasp.
LOPMON:
You're a-
TOMMY:
Yes. My name is Tommy Himi. *holds out D-Tector* I hold the Spirits of Ice to become a Digimon. I only lied because I wanted to help protect Suzy. I guess I should've come clean sooner.
SUZY slowly walks to TOMMY. LOPMON tries to stop her. After SUZY stares at TOMMY for a moment, she hugs him.
TOMMY:
Huh?
LOPMON:
Huh?
TOMMY:
You mean...you're not mad?
SUZY:
Of course not! It doesn't matter what you look like on the outside; what matters is who you are on the inside.
TOMMY slowly smiles in encouragement.
LOPMON:
(I guess that fairy tale that Suzy babbles on about really paid off.)
TOMMY turns around to the domain. He looks back at SUZY and LOPMON. SUZY and LOPMON nod in response. TOMMY changes into KUMAMON and starts climbing the domain.
Scene CUTS TO:
INT. INFINITY ICE RIDGE - ?'s DOMAIN/THRONE ROOM
LOW SHOT of a shadow entering the room. Camera pans RIGHT to a silhouette of a giant Digimon sitting on its throne.
?:
*notices shadow* Hmm? Who goes there?!
?:
Are you Merukimon, ruler of the Infinity Ice Ridge?
MERUKIMON:
Yes. I am.
?:
Merukimon, I have traveled here for a challenge.
MERUKIMON:
A challenge?
?:
A challenge to see if you're powerful enough to defeat *takes out Fusion Loader* this Digimon.
The Digimon was released from the Fusion Loader off-screen. MERUKIMON looks surprised.
MERUKIMON:
What is the meaning of this? Why did you travel all the way here?
?:
I desire power and respect! And that's why I'm here to overthrow you!
MERUKIMON:
...Very well. *charges towards the shadow and Digimon*
