Scene CUTS to:
EXT. RURAL AREA
Camera follows RIGHT to CODY, J.P., KAZU, KENTA and their Digimon were walking through the area. KAZU was showing J.P. a couple of Digimon cards.
J.P.:
*looking at each card* Wow! These are so cool, Kazu!
KAZU:
See, what did I told you. These cards are the die for!
J.P.:
Wow, it's like everyone in your universe knows Digimon exist.
KENTA:
It isn't like that.
J.P.:
What do you mean?
KENTA:
The reason these cards exist is everyone else that "Digimon" are just fictional characters you see on TV or video games.
KAZU:
Kenta and I thought Digimon were fake at first; but after we learn that Digimon are real...
KENTA:
...we wanted to be Tamers just like our buddy Takato.
GUARDROMON:
The boys venture into the Digital World *wraps arm on KAZU* and Kazu and I were meant to be partners.
MARINEANGEMON was happily flying around KENTA.
MARINEANGEMON:
Same here! Same here!
KENTA:
Hard to believe that MarineAngemon here is a Mega level...which is kind of lucky for me.
CODY:
That's some story, guys.
ARMADILLOMON:
I still can't believe it. A Digimon being a character on a television show. That's plain silly. I'm telling you, if this is a TV show right now, that would be weird.
ARMADILLOMON pauses and looks at the camera for a moment and resumes walking.
CODY:
So J.P., what's it like for a chosen human to become a Digimon?
J.P.:
It's...a bit complicated, kid. I remember I had trouble making friends. Even though my classmates were impressed how well I did with my magic tricks, I never managed to get close to them. I even tried to win them over by offering them chocolate.
KAZU:
Geez, that's harsh , dude.
J.P.:
But, that all changed when I entered the Digital World. I first thought it was a mistake to come here 'cause I thought I was the only human without a Spirit. Suddenly, my luck sprung with joy when I found my Spirit and became Beetlemon.
CODY:
Then, what does a human turning into a Digimon have something to do with friendship?
J.P.:
I'm getting to that. Not only I was able to control the power of Thunder; my adventure in the Digital World also taught me to care about others in order to make friends. Having Takuya, Koji, Tommy, Zoe and Koichi around the best moment in my life.
CODY:
Sounds like you have some amazing friends.
J.P.:
Yep and since then, I became a more caring person. (Although, I still wish I had the courage to confess my feelings to Zoe.)
KENTA:
*points out* Hey, look!
Camera ZOOMS OUT scene to reveal an open ocean in front of WIDE SHOT.
EX. RURAL AREA SHORELINE
The group was approaching the shoreline.
MARINEANGEMON:
An ocean! *happily hops around in midair* Oh, boy! Oh, boy! Oh-
KENTA:
Easy, buddy. Don't get too excited over an ocean.
ARMADILLOMON:
What's an open ocean doing near the end of a rural area?
GUARDROMON:
Maybe it's a trap.
KAZU:
Don't be obvious. The ocean doesn't bite. The only things in the ocean that would bite are probably sharks.
GUARDROMON:
Not to mention my metal turning to rust if I get wet.
J.P.:
It's like the ocean is trying to lead us in a new direction.
CODY:
Then, there's only one way to find out. Armadillomon?
ARMADILLOMON:
Right!
ARMADILLOMON runs and dives into the ocean. The others excluding CODY had blank expressions for a moment.
KAZU:
Um...Cody?
J.P.:
What exactly was suppose to happen?
CODY:
You'll see. *holds out D-3* Digi-Armor Energize!
ARMADILLOMON fuses with the Digi-Egg of Reliability.
ARMADILLOMON:
Armadillomon armor-digivolve to...
SUBMARIMON:
Submarimon, the Reliable Guardian of the Seas!
SUBMARIMON rises out of the ocean surface. The others were amazed.
J.P.:
Your Digimon's...a submarine?
CODY:
What can I say. Armadillomon comes in handy.
SUBMARIMON:
*opens hatch* Your seat, Captain Cody?
CODY:
Aye aye! *runs to SUBMARIMON*
KAZU:
Hey, wait! How the heck are we suppose to swim out in the ocean?!
GUARDROMON:
I'll rust, you know!
MARINEANGEMON:
I got an idea!
KENTA:
Y-you do?
MARINEANGEMON floats a little higher and blows up a huge bubble out of his mouth.
J.P.:
You mean we're travelling underwater inside a...heart?
GUARDROMON:
Well, it least it has more room than Submarimon.
KAZU:
*turns around; not interested* Forget it. Unless, Cody could squeeze over inside Submarimon I'm not going out to sea inside a heart. Right, Guardromon?
KAZU then notices GUARDROMON was not present beside him.
KAZU:
*looks around* Hey, where'd you go?
GUARDROMON:
(off-screen) See ya later, Kazu!
KAZU:
*turns right* Huh?
The others were already inside the heart bubble as both SUBMARIMON and the bubble were diving into the ocean.
KAZU:
*catches up* Hey, wait for me!
KAZU jumps and squeezes inside the bubble heart.
KENTA:
Well, look who decided to tag along.
KAZU:
That's not funny, Kenta!
GUARDROMON:
Did you really think we were going to leave you behind?
KAZU:
You guys almost look like a fool out there.
J.P.:
Hey, I got something that would drop this circumstance...*pulls out a chocolate bar* chocolate.
KENTA:
I thought you stopped trying to win friends with chocolate.
J.P.:
I got an unlimited supply of chocolate. I can't just eat it all myself.
A reluctant KAZU accepts the chocolate bar as SUBMARIMON and the heart bubble reached underwater. SUBMARIMON and the heart bubble start setting out into the distance .
SUBMARIMON:
Gentlemen, our undersea adventure awaits us. I should warn you there are no bathrooms during this adventure.
The others groan.
J.P.:
(off-screen) Hey, am I the only one feeling seasick right now?
Scene CUTS to:
EXT. DIGITAL GRID AREA - WASTELAND
HACKMON was sleeping behind a wire-framed rock with CALUMON sleeping atop of his scarf. Camera CLOSES IN on HACKMON as he starts kicking with a stressed face in his sleep.
SCENE DISSOLVES to DREAM/FLASHBACK.
EXT. DIGITAL DUNGEON - TRAINING FIELD
HACKMON was a little beaten up while standing in confidence. HACKMON then rushes to the right off-screen. He was rushing over to two Digimon: one human-like girl dressed in a white rabbit outfit and another human like-girl dressed in a nun uniform mixed with a cat-ear hat. HACKMON was face close to the camera while rushing over.
HACKMON:
Give me with all your might, Sistermon!
SISTERMON (BLACK):
That's the spirit, Hackmon! *powers up hands with black energy* Serenity Palm! *fires energy balls*
HACKMON swifts to avoid one of them and bashes the other one with his tail.
SISTERMON (BLACK):
Nice one! Keep it up!
SISTERMON (WHITE):
Um, I think your moves were a little intense, elder sister.
SISTERMON (BLACK):
Ah, lighten up! Come on, Hackmon's coming right at you!
HACKMON lunges and bites onto SISTERMON (White)'s lance. SISTERMON (White) struggles and pushes HACKMON off. HACKMON rolls up from the ground and breathes a fire ball.
SISTERMON (WHITE):
Guardian Wave! *stabs lance to the ground which generates a protective wave around her*
The protective wave deflects the fire ball which hits HACKMON back.
SISTERMON (WHITE):
Oh! I'm sorry. Was the wave too strong?
HACKMON:
*shakes off* Nah, I'm fine.
SISTERMON (WHITE):
That's good. Then, I guess you should to learn twice before launching an offense attack against a defense attack.
HACKMON:
Thinking's a waste of time! *dashes off to the SISTERMON*
SISTERMON (BLACK):
It looks he's ready for the test! Are you ready, younger sister?
SISTERMON (WHITE):
I...hope so.
SISTERMON (White) powers her lance and places it between her and SISTERMON (Black). SISTERMON (Black) powers her palms near the lance. The energy from both of their attacks combine. HACKMON flips and uses his drilling tail to attack.
SISTERMON (WHITE) & SISTERMON (BLACK):
(in unison) Unified Sisterhood! *launch a mixed black-and-white energy blast*
HACKMON drills into the blast which collide into a small explosion. HACKMON flies from the explosion.
?:
(off-screen) Hackmon?
DREAM/FLASHABACK DISSOLVES back to SCENE.
END FLASHBACK.
HACKMON's POV SHOT of him waking and sees CALUMON in front of him.
CALUMON:
Hey Hackmon, wake up!
A startled HACKMON immediately gets up.
HACKMON:
Don't scare me like that!
CALUMON:
I'm sorry. I heard you talk in your sleep and thought you were having a bad dream. So, I wanted to check on you.
HACKMON:
*stretches; yawns* It was more than a bad dream.
CALUMON:
Then, what it was? A nightmare?
HACKMON:
Bad dreams and nightmares are exactly-...*sighs* Yes, it was a nightmare.
CALUMON:
Aw, don't worry. 'Cause your new friend is here to protect you. *hugs HACKMON*
HACKMON was a bit embarrassed but slowly smiles in respect. Suddenly, a wire-framed bubble sphere floats by the two. CALUMON spots it.
CALUMON:
Hey, what's that?
HACKMON:
What's what?
CALUMON immediately follows the bypassing floating bubble.
HACKMON:
Hey, Calumon!
CALUMON kept on following it in the distance.
HACKMON:
Wait up! *runs after CALUMON*
EXT. DIGITAL GRID - CLIFFSIDE
CALUMON follows the bubble near the edge of the cliff. HACKMON was catching up to CALUMON.
CALUMON:
Pretty...bubble.
HACKMON:
Calumon, get away from that thing! You don't even know what it does.
CALUMON slowly reaches for the bubble but accidentally falls off the cliff with the bubble.
HACKMON:
Calumon!
HACKMON rushes to the edge of the cliff. BIRD's EYE VIEW SHOT (HACKMON's POV) of the sea with geometrical surface at the bottom of the cliff. CALUMON and the bubble were nowhere to be seen.
HACKMON:
No...
A nervous HACKMON backs off from the edge and slowly expresses a frown.
HACKMON:
(He's...he's...I...I-I...can't say it.)
The frowned HACKMON turns and starts to walk off.
?:
*giggling*
HACKMON:
*turns around* Huh?
It was CALUMON who was happily riding on the bubble accompanied by other bubbles.
CALUMON:
Hey, Hackmon!
HACKMON:
Calumon, you're alright!
CALUMON:
You gotta check these bubbles! They're really fun to ride on!
HACKMON:
Get off of these things! They might pop any minute!
CALUMON:
Come on, Hackmon. Try it! It's fun!
HACKMON:
*pauses* (...Fun?)
SCENE flashes white to FLASHBACK.
INT. DIGITAL DUNGEON - HACKMON's ROOM
A bruised up HACKMON was looking out from his window. CLOSE-UP SHOT of HACKMON looking stressed and kept focusing on the digital sky. Camera slowly pulls away FULL SHOT of his room to SISTERMON (White) peeking out through his door. SISTERMON (White) walks away from the shot.
INT. DIGITAL DUNGEON - HALLWAY
SISTERMON (White) meets up with a slight impatient SISTERMON (Black).
SISTERMON (BLACK):
So, how's our brave little soldier?
SISTERMON (WHITE):
He's acting all quiet. Guess he needed some time alone.
SISTERMON (BLACK):
The kid's lucky that our combination attack didn't wipe him completely.
SISTERMON (WHITE):
Yes, quite. Perhaps our training were pushed to his limit.
SISTERMON (BLACK):
All the little guy ever wants is to be like the master. He's gotta long way to go.
SISTERMON (WHITE):
Yes, but I'm afraid his enthusiasm won't let him go further. He never thinks before he acts in a fight.
SISTERMON (BLACK):
Aw, you worry too much. The kid needs to lighten up and have some fun once in a while.
SISTERMON (WHITE):
I suppose moderation would cleanse his fighting energy.
Camera pans LEFT to HACKMON taking a peek at the hall through his door.
HACKMON:
(What is going on out there?)
SISTERMON (WHITE):
(off-screen) Then, it's settled. We'll cease our training with Hackmon.
HACKMON:
*eyes widen* (What?!)
SISTERMON (BLACK):
Yeah. And by the time he's done, he'll be a whole new Digimon.
HACKMON nervously backs from the door.
HACKMON:
(I..can't believe it. They don't want me to become a great Digimon. They want me to become...normal?)
HACKMON slowly gets an angry expression and turns to his window. HACKMON jumps out of his room window and lands safely outside.
EXT. DIGITAL DUNGEON - DUNGEON WALLS
HACKMON runs off into the digital field and takes a look back at the Digital Dungeon.
HACKMON:
Goodbye...forever. Good luck finding some other Digimon to train.
HACKMON resumes running off into the digital fields in anger.
END FLASHBACK.
SCENE resumes. HACKMON was still focused on his thoughts.
CALUMON:
(off-screen) Hey, Hackmon!
HACKMON regains his focus on CALUMON.
CALUMON:
Bet you can't catch me! *hops onto other bubble*
HACKMON:
Calumon, come back!
HACKMON runs off the cliff and lands on one of the bubbles. His weight was lowering the bubble as CALUMON happily hops further into more bubbles.
CALUMON:
I'm too fast for ya!
HACKMON:
Oh, yeah?
HACKMON leaps onto each bubble and follows after CALUMON. CALUMON was enjoying the chase while HACKMON was entirely focused on CALUMON's action and movement. CALUMON turns around while being chased.
CALUMON:
*laughs* Wow, Hackmon! You sure are really getting good at this game!
HACKMON:
I'm just warming up, kid!
CALUMON continues hopping as camera pans RIGHT to a gap in the sea between the end of the bubbles and an edge of another cliff side. CALUMON stops on the last bubble. HACKMON was catching up with CALUMON while trying to keep his balance on two bubbles.
HACKMON:
*pants* Okay. Enough fooling around. Just climb on my back and we'll get out of this together.
Unfortunately, CALUMON was focused on the another cliffside.
HACKMON:
Calumon?
CALUMON positions for a jump.
HACKMON:
(off-screen) Calumon?!
CALUMON takes a step back for a moment and jumps off the bubble.
HACKMON:
Calumon!
HACKMON jumps off the bubble and tries to reach CALUMON. CALUMON was about to open his ears but HACKMON grabs ahold of him. However, they accidentally fall near the edge of the cliffside. CALUMON was confused while HACKMON looks nervous.
HACKMON:
Calumon, don't worry about me! Save yourself!
The two fall deeper to the surface of the sea. As they about to make a splash, CALUMON opened his ears and start flapping them up. The ears flapped so hard that the two flew higher to the edge of the cliff. CALUMON jumps onto the edge and pulls HACKMON up hard. HACKMON shakes off like a dog.
HACKMON:
Are you okay, Calumon?
CALUMON:
...Yeah, but what was that strange thing you just did?
HACKMON:
Strange thi-Oh, it was nothing. It was just scared at the moment. But, you saved my life so there's nothing to worry about.
CALUMON:
*turns to the edge of the cliff* Oh, okay.
HACKMON:
...Look, sorry if I ruined your time with those bubbles. I was only-
CALUMON:
...Hackmon, that was...*jumps in joy* the most fun I've ever had in a while! Flying to the top together was the best part! *hugs HACKMON* Can we do it again?!
HACKMON:
Uh...I think I'll pass.
CALUMON:
Oh, that's fine as long we had fun.
HACKMON:
...Yeah. Actually, it wasn't...that bad having fun.
CALUMON:
Glad to hear it! Come on, let's go!
CALUMON happily skips ahead while HACKMON watches on.
HACKMON:
(So...is this what the Sistermon were talking about earlier? That experience I had with the bubbles was...fun? But, what is the purpose of fun if I wanna become a Digimon I was destined to be? )
HACKMON catches up with CALUMON.
Scene CUTS to:
EXT. SAND OASIS AREA
Native Digimon were running from their lives as their area was dissolving. BLACKWARGREYMON leaps out into the shot.
BLACKWARGREYMON:
*gathers dark energy into huge ball* Terra Destroyer!
BLACKWARGREYMON throws his attack which destroyed a major part of the area. A group of DINOBEEMON steps into the field and charges at BLACKWARGREYMON. DRAKE enters scene.
DRAKE:
(How pathetic.) *raises Fusion Loader*
BLACKWARGREYMON:
Black Tornado! *spins into tornado*
The tornado sucks the DINOBEEMON and spits them out of the eye.
BLACKWARGREYMON:
Terra Destroyer! *throws another huge dark energy gathered ball*
The attack hits all of them and disappear.
DRAKE:
That's right, BlackWarGreymon! Show them all that I'm a great and powerful Trainer! *laughs*
Camera zooms onto DRAKE's face as a bit of dark energy was briefly flowing around his eye.
