"The next pair out is… Ginger BreadHouse and Rani Chandra." Sky said.

Cheers went up. "Well done for getting this far," Sarah Jane said as Rani and Ginger got up on stage to receive their flowers. "Thank you Ever After, for making us get here," Rani said. Cheers went up once again, and they got off stage.

"The next competition is the last one before the awards ceremony which would be held in two weeks from now," Sky said. "You get to award each person an award by logging onto my chapter and voting for those that you believe should win which award."

Apple was watching this from the shadows, an evil smile on her face. 'I'm going to ruin this for Ruby and Cerise or Sarah Jane and Maddie.' She thought as she walked off.

As the students and staff filed out of the hall, Sarah Jane, Ruby, Cerise and Maddie went to the Beanstalk bakery. Daring followed them as he needed to talk to Cerise, very urgently.

"CERISE!" He yelled. "CERISE! YOUR PARENTS FOUND OUT!"

"Daring, calm down," Cerise told him. "What happened?"

"Your parents," Daring replied. "They were watching Just Right, Blondie's mirror cast, when she interviewed Cupid, when everything came out. Everyone now knows and I trusted her in our secret. Apple was with her."

"Wait, Apple?" Cerise asked. "Are you sure?"

"Positive," Daring replied. "It was defiantly her." Cerise didn't reply at first. Instead, she started sobbing. "Why would Apple do this?"

"She must now hate me because I am in love with you," Daring said as he took hold of her hand. "Well… um… do you want to come to the enchanted forest later? Ruby and Sarah Jane can come too. Just the four of us, no one else." Cerise nodded in agreement. "I can't wait," she whispered. Daring walked off as Cerise, Sarah Jane, Ruby and Maddie continued on their way.

Meanwhile, Red and Mr Badwolf were horrified that Cerise was dating Daring. "She shouldn't be," Red said. "It's not part of her story."

"I know," Mr Badwolf replied. "But us marrying was not part of our story. Do not blame her for wanting to rebel like we did." Red nodded, knowing that he was right.

"What should we do?" Maddie asked a few hours later. Cerise and Maddie returned to the school at sunset to find that Ruby and Daring were missing. Sarah Jane ran up to them, flustered. "It's Apple," she told them. "I don't know what is wrong with her, but she dyed her hair black and she seems all evil and everything. Daring and Ruby went out to search for her but they have not returned." At this news, Cerise and Maddie comforted Sarah Jane and said that they would get the faculty to search all of the enchanted forest.

Meanwhile, Apple was hiding in a dark cave with two coffins lying there. 'At the awards ceremony, both Sarah Jane and Cerise will be heartbroken. Cerise needs to know that Daring is mine and Sarah Jane needs to know that Ruby can't change and- what? Is someone in my thoughts?'

I'm so sorry Apple, I didn't mean to. It just sometimes happens. S- Sorry to bother you.

Even CeriseHood5050 was scared of her. There seemed to be no escape for Ruby and Daring unless she broke one of the narrating rules and interfered. CeriseHood5050 knew that it was not right, but she was not going to let Ruby and Daring suffer. She knew that she had to get to the next scene before her writing took her over and she wrote a few more paragraphs about how mean Apple was now. 'All right,' CeriseHood5050 told herself. 'Time to go to the next scene.'

Back at Ever After High, Ruby and Daring arrived. "Have we missed much?" Daring asked.

"I overheard CeriseHood5050 say that she was scared of Apple while we were in the forest," Ruby said.

"That's strange," Cerise said. "I never thought that she would be scared of her."

"I know," Daring replied. "It seems strange of her."

"I never thought that the narrator would be scared of anything," Maddie replied.

Hello Narrator!

Maddie, stop interrupting the story.

You did when you had your sick day. You made it harder for Cerise.

Maddie, I'm trying to tell the story.

Maddie walked away from the group, sulking that CeriseHood5050 wouldn't talk to her. Cerise sighed, not knowing what to do.

At that moment, they spotted Apple. Her hair was dyed black and she was wearing a purple dress. If you have never seen Apple before, you would not recognise her. She was trying to hide in the shadows, but Cerise noticed her, but she did not say anything. She did not want to alert the others. Cerise decided that it was best that they did not panic.

Later, Headmaster Grimm said that he wanted the remaining contestants in his office. They all went, to see what Headmaster Grimm wanted to say to them.

"Maddie and Sarah Jane, Cerise and Ruby, well done on getting this far in the competition," Headmaster Grimm began. "But unfortunately, I have distressing news."

"What is it?" Ruby asked.

"It's Apple," Headmaster Grimm began. "As you four know, Apple had not been happy since she had left the contest. Raven went to find her and she said that she found her in the enchanted forest with two empty coffins beside her. What these are for, we do not know, but we want you to be careful."

"We will," Cerise replied.

"Um, Maddie, Cerise," Headmaster Grimm said. "Is it all right if you wait outside for a minute?"

"Of course," Maddie and Cerise replied. "As long as our best friends forever after are not in trouble."

"No, they are not in trouble," Headmaster Grimm confirmed. "But Cerise's parents have found out that she is dating Daring."

"But why do they not want me to be with him?" Cerise asked.

"I'm sorry, Cerise, but I'm not sure," Headmaster Grimm replied. "You should talk to them about it. Meanwhile, I need to talk to Sarah Jane and Ruby alone." Maddie and Cerise nodded as they left his office.

"Why would Headmaster Grimm want to talk to Ruby and Sarah Jane?" Cerise asked Maddie.

"Maybe he found out about their love," Maddie replied. Cerise nodded. They stayed outside the Headmaster's office, waiting for their friends to come out.

Inside the office, Headmaster Grimm was actually smiling. "Sarah Jane, Ruby, I understand how much you both mean to one another, and I think that you should both get together. Maybe Cerise's parents would see that it won't be as bad if Cerise and Daring are dating." Sarah Jane nodded in agreement. She knew what Cerise had to go through after she been at Earth for a few days.

ONE WEEK LATER…

Ruby and Sarah Jane were sharing one more precious moment together before they had to get ready for the last contest. It was a memory contest. First, Cerise and Maddie have to answer questions about the person they are partnered with before they swapped over, so they all had a go.

Cerise and Maddie were talking in the corner. Everything now came down to what the people wanted. The winners would not be announced until the awards ceremony. Cerise hopped from foot to foot, not knowing what to do. Maddie tried to hold everything together, which failed. Her thoughts ran around like crazy sheep and all of the tea cups she was holding in her hands crashed onto the floor.

"And now," Sky said. "We welcome the last pairs in the competition. Sarah Jane and Maddie and Ruby and Cerise!" Everyone applauded as Sarah Jane, Ruby, Cerise and Maddie walked on stage. They applauded louder when they took their places behind their podiums. When the noise died down, the contest began. Sky announced when they changed over a few minutes later.

After the contest, everyone walked into the Mad Hatter's tea shop, where Red Riding Hood and Mr Badwolf were waiting, holding hands. Briar gasped. "Mr Badwolf, what's going on?" She asked.

"Well," Mr Badwolf began. "Myself and Red decided to let Cerise and Daring date. They will not be the only ones rebelling against their destiny." Everyone smiled as they sat down. Sarah Jane and Ruby held hands, when Cerise noticed another ring on Sarah Jane's hand. "Have you and Ruby-" she began, but Sarah Jane stopped her.

"Yes, we are engaged." Sarah Jane told them. Everyone applauded. Now, it seemed like anything could happen. Daring held Cerise's hand.

"Each happily ever after should be a brand new beginning." He said, and everyone agreed, other than one person. Apple was standing in the corner, with a black hood covering her appearance. No one could see her as her new cloak helped her hide in the shadows. No one, other than Cerise, Ruby and Sarah Jane. However, they decided to ignore her, thinking that she was not up to anything suspicious.

That night, Sarah Jane and Ruby were walking in the enchanted forest. "So, have you decided on the colour of the bridesmaid dresses?" Ruby asked her.

"Well, I was thinking that they should be a light purple," Sarah Jane said. "But, if we are going to have it in the enchanted forest, we will want a colour that cannot get as dirty, like a very dark red."

"That's a good idea," Ruby replied.

Meanwhile, deep in the trees, Apple was watching them making plans, falling deeper and deeper in love. She hated it that no one was now listening to her, just because she did not like change. Now, no one agreed with her, not even Headmaster Grimm. Apple vowed to herself that she would ruin Sarah Jane's or Ruby's life once the awards ceremony began.

Everyone was still voting for who they wanted to win which award. The pair that wins would get two awards, as they would get one separately before they get their last award which they share.

Soon, all was quiet in the enchanted forest. Sarah Jane and Ruby had returned to school, so Apple could now work on a secret potion that would put its victims into a deep sleep. However, Apple failed to read the warning. It read:

Warning: Curse could only be lifted if victim(s) are woken by a true love's kiss.

Apple began to brew the potion as she did so, muttering curses as she did so.
