Chapter 4
As Apple was brewing the potion, she glanced over at the coffins. She then stopped and logged into my chapter to see who it looked like was winning at the time. "Cerise Hood and Ruby White," she muttered as she threw her mirror pad at the wall. It shattered as Apple returned to her work.
By dawn the next day, Apple was back at Ever After High, when she saw Sarah Jane and Ruby together. She hated it that they would get a happily ever after even if they were not the same species! Apple was about to storm away when Briar called for her. Apple walked over to her and sulked. "Apple," Briar began. "You cannot make people stop being in love just because they are not the same species."
"But Ruby and Sarah Jane should not be together, it is not right!" Apple yelled. Of course, everyone heard her. They turned to see everyone staring at them, when Cerise and Daring walked out of the crowd, holding hands. "Well, you can't do anything about it now because they are engaged," Cerise replied.
"WHAT?" Apple cried. "THEY CAN'T BE!"
"Well, you have to live with it, Apple," Sarah Jane told her as she and Ruby walked towards her. "We made our minds up and we are not turning back." Apple stomped off in a rage.
Later, Ruby and Cerise were together when they saw Apple again for the second time that day. She was carrying two bottles, which looked like they were full of some sort of white liquid. "Hey guys!" Apple said. She held out the bottles to them. "Why don't you try this out?" Cerise and Ruby nodded as they took the bottles from Apple. After one sip, they both collapsed.
Just then, everyone came running. "WHAT HAVE YOU DONE?" Sarah Jane screamed.
"Nothing," Apple replied. "I didn't do anything." Sarah Jane was not going to believe this and tried to attack Apple. Apple then threw some magic powder on the ground and she disappeared along with Cerise and Ruby.
"Where am I?" Cerise asked out loud. She had woken up to find that she was in a cage.
"Cerise," Ruby whispered. "I think Apple has us trapped."
"I have that feeling too," Cerise replied as Apple wandered in.
"SILENCE!" Apple yelled and Cerise and Ruby fell quiet. They did not want to get into any more trouble than they were in. However, Apple had other plans.
Back in the corridor, Sarah Jane was sobbing. She had just lost Ruby and she did not know where she was. Daring helped her up. "Look," he began. "Ruby would want you to find her. If Apple placed a curse on her, then we will find a way to lift it." Sarah Jane nodded as they began their search.
Back with Cerise and Ruby, they were released for a short time before they got put to sleep by Apple. Cerise grimaced as she glanced at her phone. "No mirrornet connection," she murmured. Ruby sighed, not knowing what to do now. They had no way of getting to their friends to say where they were, or anything to do to pass the time away. Nothing.
Soon enough, Apple arrived. She looked a lot different. Her hair was done up in a ponytail, but her clothes were certainly different. She was wearing a long, purple dress that ended at her knees and she was wearing a black denim jacket on top. "You two will soon know not to mess about with destinies, especially you, Ruby White." With that, Apple cast a spell that put the two of them out. Cerise and Ruby fell to the floor and Apple ordered some goblins to put them in the coffins and lock the tops. "Now they will never get out."
Sarah Jane was about to panic. She could not find either Cerise or Ruby and it was getting late. They were all about to give up and return to Ever After High when Daring found the entrance to Apple's lair. Ashlynn called for the woodland creatures before they entered. What they did not know was that Red and Mr Badwolf was already in there, but they have got lost.
Soon after they entered the cave, Sarah Jane stepped on something soft. Something yelled out in pain. Sarah Jane quickly moved her foot just as the torches lit up, to reveal Mr Badwolf, Red and Apple.
"You won't get them back," Apple said. "There is no way to reverse the curse."
