Percy POV
When Percy first woke up he felt as if a mountain had fallen on him. Or at the very least his head felt as if a mountain had fallen on it. Percy groaned and opened his eyes. He looked up and spotted Raven and Natasha and Clint murmuring to each worriedly. "Hey," he said weakly. "What's going on?" Raven spun around and said, "Percy! I was so worried about you! I thought you were dead!" She jumped on his bed and held him tightly. Natasha and Clint came over to them and smiled at the young couple. "How are you feeling Percy?" Natasha asked with a sudden worried frown. Percy smiled and said "I feel fine, Natasha. Better than I've felt in months. It's almost like….." his voice trailed off.
Natasha smiled at him. "We found the antidote, Percy. You were about to go insane back at the warehouse, but Clint showed up in time and gave you the antidote through the head." Percy stared at them both in stunned shock. Raven grinned at him and said, "I've been given the antidote too. We can still use our powers; we just aren't able to go insane like before." Percy then grinned and kissed Raven sloppily on the lips. "Thank you so much," he whispered. "I never imagined that this might be possible."
Just then Fury entered and smiled at Raven and Percy. Fury cleared his throat and said, "I have separate missions for the both of you. That is if you're willing to join us Raven." Raven smiled and said, "I would love to join SHIELD, Director Fury, sir." Fury then glanced at Percy. Percy grinned, "You already know about me, sir. SHIELD is my everything now." Director Fury smiled, "Good. I hope you don't mind us splitting the two of you up. But well, Intel tells us that you two work well as a team. I'd like to see how you work with a different partner. So, Agent Jackson we're sending you and Agent Barton to a SHIELD research facility to keep an eye on something of extreme importance. And Agent White you're going to England with Agent Potters." He gestured to a slim woman who had entered the room after him.
"When do we leave?" Percy asked. "As soon as possible." Fury replied. Raven nodded and stood up and began to make her way over to Agent Potters. "I'll see you when I get back Percy," she said cheerfully. Percy nodded and began to get up from his bed. He turned to Clint who was smiling at him. "Let's get this show on the road, Barton."
Annabeth POV
Annabeth tried to stifle her tears. She'd seen how Percy had stared at Raven. And then to see him die in that horrible way. Annabeth blamed Mike Monorston for the entire thing. The gods did too. Poseidon was very angry to learn that his favorite son had been about to be forced into something he didn't want to do. And that he then had been killed by SHIELD in order to keep him from Mike's hands. Annabeth closed her eyes and remembered Percy's face when he had seen her and Jason and Piper. The rage on his face had been… horrible. And then to just watch as the girl, Raven grabbed a hold of him and tried to stop him from going nuclear.
Annabeth shook these thoughts away as she returned her attention to the Camp Councilor meeting. Thalia and the Hunters of Artemis were there and so was Grover. Chiron was briefing Thalia and Grover on the situation when all of a sudden someone appeared before them. A man in dark green clothes with some kind of armor on. He had black hair and greenish eyes. "Hello Chiron, it's been a long time my friend. Chiron stiffened and said, "Loki."
Natasha POV
Natasha watched as Percy and Clint boarded the plane that would take them to the facility were the Tesseract was being studied. She smiled as she turned away. Percy would go on to do great things. Natasha knew that much as she watched as Fury turned to Agent Hill and began to talk about the failed Avengers Initiative. Natasha smiled as she watched all of their home's greatest heroes Iron Man, Captain America, the Hulk, Thor, and then to her surprise herself, the Black Widow, Hawkeye, and the Shark flash across the screen. "Whatever happens," she thought, "At least in now know that Percy is considered a hero. She smiled as the future began to enfold, before she turned away.
She had business in Russia.
