Taya was resting peacefully by the fire when she felt something soft lay on top of her. She gasped. " Mytank!" she exclaimed. The dog woofed in reply. She chuckles trying to get him off of her. Edan smiles going over to her. " Alright Mytank I think that's enough love." He grabs the heavy dog by the collar and slowly drags him off of her. Taya springs to her feet. " Why don't you go and look around the town eh?" suggested Edan. Taya nods. She headed out of the cottage into the village streets. She was surronded by different cottages as well as different stores. Aromas of all kinds wafted into the air. She took it all in as she walked around.
Tyne had finally made it to the village. It was kind of rough when you were on foot to get to it. She sighed putting her hood up as she walked past the village gates. She used her aura to see if she could sense Taya. Taya's aura was really strong in the center of the village. She smiled ducking into the crowd to keep from view. She spotted Taya near a blacksmithery. " Excuse me sir." chimed Taya. The blacksmith turned around. He looked down and smiled at her. " My sword is a little chipped I was wondering if you could possibly fix it." He chuckles. " Why of course my sweet lass!" he exclaimed. He took her sword gently from her. He went to back and started to look at it. It has some chips in the blade. " Aye that is never good. You don't want your blade to break ruining your honor!" He got to work. He melted some of the metal onto it before he began banging on it with his hammer.
Taya leans on the wall watching him. " My is this phoenix metal? It's one of the toughest metals in this region!" He scratched his chin. " Lass your going to have to get some phoenix metal in order for me to fix this. I have a temporary sword that you can use in the mean time." She nods. " Where shall I go?" she asked. " Up the mountain, the cave of the beyond. That's where you'll find the ore." She nods putting the sword on her belt. She walked out of the door heading out of the village. Tyne follows careful not to get spotted. Taya goes back to the cottage. " Hey Edan!" she shouted. Edan poked his head out. " Can I borrow Mytank?" she asked. He nods. He whistles. Mytank hears it and gets to his paws. He trots over to gets on top of him sprinting away from the Cottage. She left the limits off the village.
Tyne follows after her. She kept close to make sure that Taya didn't get hurt. Taya got to the mountains. The mountains were covered in a thick layer of ice. Grey rocks poked out of the edges. Mytank trotted along the dirt road. He was careful knowing that the paths were covered in slippery mud. Taya looks around. She checked the skies. She heard something screech above her. Suddenly a streak of light appeared. She looks up at it. The streak screeched again before vanishing high above the thick layer of clouds. She sighs turning back to the road.
Mytank reaches the highest point of the mountain. The road was cut off by rocks. To the right of them was a cave. Taya slid off of Mytank's back. She walked over to the mouth of the cave. The floor was covered in ash. She drew the sword off of her belt as she walked inside. She looks around the place. The walls were covered in black ash. She steps on a bone. She jumps and looked down. She gulps shaking gently. Ahead of her something shined. She smiled running to it. She picks up a grey ore. " This must be the phoenix metal that the blacksmith needs." She immediately starts to pack her bag with it. She heard a screech behind her. Taya turned around to see a stream of flames coming at her. She screamed putting her hands up. She looks up again to see someone standing in front of her. Tyne had threw a shield up around them diverting the flames at the walls. The phoenix came in. It screeched at her loudly. Tyne growled taking a defense stance. " Taya! Run get out of here!" Taya looks up at Tyne. Tyne tosses her out of the way. "Go!" Tyne pulls out her heat blades. She charges for the phoenix. The phoenix roars lunging for Tyne. Taya takes the bag running back out of the cave. She put it on Mytank's saddle. She starts to climb on.
The phoenix shoots out a stream of flames. Tyne stands there taking the hit. She absorbs the heat. She smiles. " Is that all you got?" she sneered. She slammed both of her fists together causing them to glow. She charges for the phoenix punching it in the face. The phoenix stumbles backwards dazed. " Taya!" yelled a voice. Taya looks up to see Edan running with one other warrior. " Edan? What's wrong?" she asked. " Tell that lady she can't fight that phoenix." She tilts her head to the side. " Why?" " That phoenix is our guardian." She nods running back to the cave. She runs inside. She tackles Tyne. She gets in front of the phoenix. " Stop!" she shouted. Tyne looks at her confused. " Why?" " You can't fight this beast. It's the guardian of the Little Hook village." Tyne sighs. " Well it tried to kill you." Taya nods. " It must have been frightened." Taya turns around. She reaches for the phoenix. " Don't be afraid." She smiled. She touches the crest of it gently. Tyne smiles. She makes a move towards Taya. Taya immediately pulls away. She glares at Tyne. " Do I know you?" she asked. Tyne nods. " I'm your mother, Tyne. Remember me?" Taya shakes her head. " I don't." She draws out her sword.
