So there were mixed opinions about what happened in the last chapter but I appreciate hearing your honest views about it. I have to admit, I have never felt so nervous about reading the reviews I got because I had a bad feeling that I would get a flame but I didn't thankfully.

This chapter has a little bit of bad language because it's the kind of thing you would expect from Rose if you make her angry.

Alice's POV

I didn't go back to sleep. I couldn't.

I was annoyed at myself but at Jasper, too. It wasn't his fault but I hated how he had chosen me. I want to blame him but I can't. Jasper had left my room not long after I had left to clean up. Good, I couldn't stand to be around him right now.

Since I couldn't go back to sleep, I sat in front of my dresser and grabbed my hair brush so that I could brush my hair but as my eyes landed on the mirror in front of me, I saw a bruise on my neck. What the hell? It was similar to the one that I found on my arm the day before. Then I remembered how Jasper had been sucking at my neck.

"Damn it, Jasper" I cursed under my breath.

How on earth was I going to explain that? My family would definitely get suspicious about this and I couldn't risk that. I had to keep it hidden. With that thought, I decided to cover the bruise up with makeup. I don't usually use that stuff but I was desperate to hide it. I don't even know why Jasper had been doing that. I doubt that he understood the definition of a hickie. It probably had something to do with his animal behavior so I won't even try to understand it.

After I was finished with my neck, I went down the stairs to see if dad was awake yet; he should be since he gets up early for work. I had to speak to him about putting a lock on my door because the sooner, the better. I didn't want to spend another night with Jasper sneaking into my room. What if I felt tempted to do that again? I would be sending him the wrong message.

I found him with Jasper in his play room. Dad was teaching Jasper new words but the second he saw me, all his attention on dad was lost. I looked away from him; feeling uncomfortable under his gaze and looked at dad.

"Are you alright, Alice? Is there anything you need?" He asked.

"Yeah, actually" I replied as I shifted uncomfortably under Jasper's intimidating gaze.

Dad glanced at Jasper and lightly placed a hand on his shoulder before getting up and walking out of the room with me, probably sensing that I wanted to talk to him alone. Jasper probably wouldn't even understand what I was about to say but I would still prefer to be in a separate room from him. Dad raised his eyebrows at me, waiting for me to speak.

"Can you put a lock on my door?" I asked him.

"W…why? Has Jasper…?"

"No, no" I suddenly interrupted. "It's just he keeps chewing my stuff and it's kind of getting annoying" I mumbled.

Dad sighed in relief and ran a hand through his hair. It was obvious that he was suspicious about Jasper but he seemed to believe me enough to let it go. Besides, everything Jasper has done was completely innocent; I on the other hand, not so much.

"Of course, if you want one then I can put one on for you" dad offered.

"As soon as possible" I added.

Damn it! Could I make it more obvious? Although he tried to hide it, I could tell that I made my dad worry again.

"I'll buy one after I finish my shift at the hospital and install it as soon as I get home" dad said.

With my nod, dad walked back into Jasper's play room to carry on from where he left off whereas I went back into my room. Hopefully, things will get better once Jasper will stop going in my room at night. Perhaps he'll just leave me alone for a while. I just hope that what happened last night didn't just encourage him to continue.

Rosalie's POV

Before dad left for work, he left Jasper with me; asking if I would keep an eye on Jasper around Alice. I had asked him if Jazz did anything wrong but he said that he wasn't sure. Although it was now 10 in the morning, Jasper has decided that it was now time to sleep so he was curled up on the sofa while I was on the far end on my laptop. How could anybody possibly get to sleep at this time? Had he not slept at all last night?

I noticed how he kept twitching his hand and leg and growled occasionally as well. It reminded me of the way some dogs move their legs in their sleep as if they were chasing after a small animal. I heard Emmett's chuckle as he eyed Jasper but Edward just rolled his eyes as he tried to focus on his work that mom had given him.

"Serious, much" I muttered to him.

"I'm sorry, what was that?" Edward questioned sarcastically.

I gave him the death glare which told him to not to mess with me. It never stopped him to irritate me though.

"Oh come on, guys. Not now. Let the kid sleep" Emmett intervened.

I was surprised; Emmett usually found our arguments amusing and now he was trying to prevent one from taking place? I didn't take my eyes of Edward because if I did, it would mean he would win the glaring contest and there was no way in hell that I was going to let him win anything. I hated him so much.

"That's what I hate about you, Edward. You're so damn serious all the time. You don't have a sense of humour and you…"

"Oh, I don't have a sense of humour? You're one to talk. You're a complete bit…."

"You kids better not be arguing again" mom warned as she walked in the room.

Emmett smirked although my eyes still refused to part with Edward's. I noticed Jasper's body twitch again at the corner of my eye with a faint growl but I didn't let it catch me of guard.

"He started it" I muttered.

Edward scoffed at my answer which made me wish that mom wasn't here so I could rip his eyeballs out of his sockets or even let Jasper treat him the way he treated those squirrels yesterday morning.

"And I will be the one to finish it. Both of you; get back to your work" mom instructed.

"That's what I was doing until Rosalie decided to make a comment about it" Edward stated.

Mom gave him a stern look which caused Edward to finally look away from me. Rosalie Hale wins once again. I raised my head and smiled; proud at myself as I got back to typing on my laptop. As I sat back down on the sofa, Jasper's body quickly jolted upright as he searched the room a little panicked, gasping.

"Hey, it's okay, Jazz. It's alright" I soothed.

His hand was strangely still twitching although it stopped every time he clenched his fist but unclenched it when his attention was on me.

"Are you okay?" I asked him.

He glanced at everyone in the room before looking back at me as he shifted his body closer and rested his chin on my shoulder.

"Me sleep" he whispered.

"You really are tired, aren't you?" I mumbled to him.

"Dad said that he should avoid sleeping during the day because he's more likely to wake up during the night" Edward pointed out.

Did he have to make a remark about everything? Why couldn't he just quit trying to cause arguments? He usually did it when dad was around because he is what you call a 'daddy's boy' so sometimes he even gets away with it but now he was trying to cause more trouble.

"He's tired. Stop being an ass" I told him.

"Rose" mom warned. She hated it when we used bad language.

She usually expected to hear it from Emmett and although bad language wasn't often used in the house, Jasper was our new reason not to use it. The last thing we needed was Jasper picking up those words although I enjoyed the time when Jasper had thought 'moron' was Edward's name but Jasper has found out that it's actually an insult. I hear him mumble it occasionally whenever he doesn't get what he wants like the times when he tries to get into Emmett's room because he doesn't like Jasper in there.

"Sleeping now means that he will be up tonight making a complete mess that mom and dad will be the ones to clean up" Edward commented.

"Oh, are you offering, Edward?" I asked rhetorically.

"No, I'm saying that you should do it just like it should be you paying for all the things that he is destroying. You were the one that wanted to keep him after all" Edward replied back, bitterly.

I can't believe this! He is talking about Jasper as if I had just brought him home from a dog shelter.

"He is my brother you asshole. How could you say that?" I shouted, angrily.

Edward took a step forward but after sensing my emotions, Jasper bolted straight up once again but this time he stood between me and Edward and growled at the selfish idiot as he bared his teeth. I could tell that Edward wanted to back away from him but he was once again too frightened to move. Once Jasper knew he had achieved his goal to fear Edward, his face softened a little so he didn't appear as scary.

"Bad Eward" Jasper scowled.

I wanted to laugh out loud about the way he was handling this. It was as if he had taken in everything we had taught about what's right and what's wrong and he was using that knowledge against us which was actually quite adorable. Edward didn't know what to do or say so he just stood there and waited for one of us to do something. Even mom just stood there rather surprised.

"Uhh" Edward tried to think of something to say.

"Say sowy" Jasper demanded.

I couldn't hide the smirk that appeared on my face as Edward's eyes widened. Edward was very stubborn so I was a little shocked when Edward looked to the ground and mumbled.

"Sorry"

It was clear that he didn't mean it but I found it funny nonetheless. Satisfied with his apology, Jasper turned around and tugged on my sleeve to pull me back onto the sofa so that he could continue on with his sleep.

When I was finished with my work, I printed it off and was about to go and get it when I remembered Jasper's sleeping body leaning against mine. I didn't want to wake him up but I had to move him soon because he was giving my arm an ache.

I used my free arm to slowly move his body off mine and carefully positioned him so that he was now lying down. Once I was free, I collected my work from the printer and wondered off the find mom so that I could give it to her. I found her walking down the stairs.

"Mom, I've finished" I stated.

Mom smiled and took the work from my hand.

"Good job. Go get some fresh air, take Jasper with you" she instructed.

I was about to tell her that Jasper was sleeping when I suddenly felt a tug on my shirt with his innocent eyes eyeing up the staircase. I was surprised that he had been spending his time with me rather than Alice since he has been choosing her over me lately. I didn't have a problem with it; Alice had kept him alive back when he was living in the wild after all.

"What about Alice? She usually spends time with Jasper during breaks" I pointed out.

"No, she just wants to concentrate on her work. I feel like something's up though" mom admitted.

I just shrugged my shoulders. I hadn't noticed anything different but then again, I haven't seen Alice at all this morning because she has been stuck in her room and only came down for a quick snack.

"Come on then, Jazz. Do you want to play outside or do some drawing?" I asked him.

He shook his head and didn't take his eyes away from the stairs.

"Where Ali? Want Ali?" He mumbled desperately.

"Ali is trying to concentrate right now. Perhaps she'll see you later" I told him.

He shook his head and then suddenly crouched to the floor and began to pull his hair.

"No, No Alice not want me. Ali not see me" he murmured as he rocked his body.

I was a little worried about him. Why would he say that? Why was he so certain that Alice didn't want to see him? I didn't know what to say to him but I pulled his body up to make him stand upright. He definitely needed to get some fresh air; it'll take his mind off Alice.

"Come on, Jazz" I encouraged him.

He let me lead him outside but he seemed to be lost in his own mind and he was squeezing my arm very hard. I winced in pain which seemed to bring Jasper's attention back to me as he quickly let go. He sat down on the grass and crossed his legs as his eyes scanned through the trees. I sat beside him and matched his position. He leaned his head against my shoulder and then mumbled to me.

"Me love Rose"

I smiled at him and then whispered back to him "I love you, too, Jazz. It's so good to have you back"
