Well, I'm back at 6th form now (Not sure if they have those in America. The school system is very different here in England) and my job is followed straight after but I will try to keep my update as fast as I can.

I'm glad that you all seemed to like that Carlisle is now aware of the situation so yay.

This chapter is a bit of a jump because I didn't want to drag things out for too long.

And just a little reminder:

Alice: 14 Jasper: 16 Emmett: 17 Edward: 17 Rosalie: 18

Disclaimer: I do not own twilight

Rosalie's POV

"Jasper, will you hurry up in there?" I called through the bathroom door.

He had been home with us for two days and he was already back to his usual self. Dad had shown Jasper how to use the shower so now it's his new favorite thing in the world. In fact; this was the 3rd time he had been in the shower today and it was only 1 in the afternoon. Maybe he was just fascinated with the way the water fell on him but wouldn't he have been used to that when he lived in the forest when it rained? Or maybe because he knew that the water falling on him was safe to drink unlike the bleach he had swallowed.

"No! Me Keening!" He yelled through the door.

I just rolled my eyes. Luckily, dad was on his way up the stairs. He, too, also noticed that Jasper was spending too much time locked up in the bathroom. Yes, that was another thing, he has figured out how to lock a door.

"Come out of there, mister" dad commanded, sternly.

Jasper knew that tone. To him it meant 'do as he says or you go on the mat' so in an instant, Jasper shut the water off so I assume that he was drying up.

"I can't leave him alone for two minutes" Carlisle muttered as he waited.

Since Jasper came out of the hospital, mom and dad have been keeping an extra eye on him; making sure that he was in sight at all times. He was let out of psych ward early because firstly, he wasn't a suicide risk and secondly, whatever was wrong with him mentally was dealt with in the presence of his family which couldn't be done if he was stuck in a small room by himself.

A few things have changed now. Jasper has a therapist on Thursdays, he has to bond more with his brothers and Alice and dad had also told me to make sure that I encourage him to be friendly with the moron brother. Apparently, Jasper was afraid that I would hate him if he liked Edward but I'm gonna be honest, I felt pretty smug when I found out Jasper would rather spend all of his time with me rather than a single second with Edward. It's a shame that it was for the wrong reasons though.

The bathroom door swung open and Jasper gave us both 'the look'. It wasn't a 4 year old innocent look, it was one that made him look like the 16 year old he really was. It was a mix between a glare and a hint of irritation.

"Me out now, K?" He said with a little bit of attitude.

That was new.

"Don't talk to me like that, young man. You can use the shower once in the morning and if you really want to, again before you go to bed. You don't need to shower as much as you are" dad informed him, his voice still stern.

"But what if me thirsty 'gain and you not give me my milk at sleep time" He asked, innocently.

"Then you wake me up" dad replied.

Jasper looked at the carpet and nodded. Dad turned his gaze to me.

"I've got to get back to work. Can you and Edward please learn to get along instead of giving your mother trouble today?" He asked.

I nodded at him; for Jasper's sake. Dad was now spending his lunch hours at home since he was even more anxious with Jasper now. He is constantly keeping tabs on him and yesterday, he had phoned mom up every time he got a free minute. He had already phoned her three times this morning before he went home to see him for himself.

I am being more cautious after what happened to Jasper but I think dad is getting a little too protective.

"Sure. I'll even show Jasper how awesome little Eddie is" I noted sarcastically.

"I mean it, Rosalie. It's important for Jasper to bond with him. It's part of speeding up his mental age" dad said.

Dad looked back at Jasper and gave him a small smile.

"Be good for mom, alright? I'll be back later" He assured him.

Jasper moved forward and gave dad a quick hug before running down the hall. We both looked to see where he was heading; the room that belonged to our most beloved brother, Edward. Note the sarcasm.

Jasper opened the door without knocking, even though we were trying to teach him to do just that.

"Eward! Eward, you an me be fwends now! Eward!" He shouted as he interrupted Edward reading his 'precious' Shakespeare book.

Edward put his book down, rolled his eyes but noticed the way dad raised his eye brows at him; reminding Edward the talk dad had with all of us to make sure we all spend time with Jasper. Edward sighed and walked out of his room.

"Come on, then" he muttered as he walked down stair, heading to Jasper's play room.

Jasper ran down, excitedly. I turned back to dad.

"Don't worry, dad. He'll be fine. I think I can pretend to like Edward for a few hours" I assured.

"You love your brother really. You just have a hard time showing it" dad murmured as we walked back downstairs.

I didn't comment, knowing it probably wouldn't be a nice one. I despised Edward and I think that secretly, he despised Jasper and why? Because before Jasper came along, Edward was the 'daddy's boy' but Jasper stole that place and he knew it.

I walked into Jasper's play room as mom went to speak to dad before he left. I noticed how Jasper was already drawing on the giant chalk board that dad had attached to one side of the room. Edward was watching him as he tried to write out everybody's names without any help. It was something that mom encouraged him to do.

I stood closer to Edward's side and he turned his head to look at me for a moment.

"You know, mom and dad are kind of relying on us right now. We shouldn't fight today. They were right, he needs us" he whispered.

I just nodded. If I opened my mouth, I couldn't guarantee that I would say something nice.

"Eward? Eward, me spell wite?" Jasper questioned as he pointed to his brother's spelling on the board.

Edward smiled and nodded.

"That's perfect, Jasper. You even put a capital letter at the beginning" he noted.

Once he got what he expected from Edward, he turned his gaze on to me.

"Great job" I praised him.

Like every kid, he craved positivity. He would do something, stop and wait to be praised before he does something else. Mom and dad said praising was good for him anyway. It encouraged him to do good things.

Jasper turned back to the board and continued to write out more names. He had most definitely improved his spelling and the only one he struggled with was Emmett but we helped him out on that.

After a while, Edward spoke to me again.

"There's something else I think we should help Jasper with" Edward pointed out.

Alice's POV

I was in the main room, resting on the sofa, watching TV. It was usually the kind of thing we do at the weekend but the next few day would be like this. The whole house is now Jasper proof but while dad was at work, mom had to keep a close eye on Jasper. Since he has been back, mom, dad and Rose have been teaching him all kinds of things that he should know but it was only day two so they still have far to go. That was why mom was giving us a few days rest; because it was spent making sure Jasper was learning new things and safety was one of them. Yesterday, dad showed him what the bleach was actually used for and that he should never touch it since it could burn his skin. Even if Jasper got curious, I'm sure dad had hid it well. At least he now knows that not everything that comes in a bottle is safe to drink.

As usual, Jasper hasn't seemed to notice me but he doesn't make it obvious that he is ignoring me like he usually did. Either Jasper is coming out of this alone or dad had something to do with it. Yesterday, dad had given me another talk before I went to sleep about Jasper. He told me that I should be careful when I approach Jasper; like I already didn't know that.

I heard a loud hiss behind me and my head twisted to where the sound came from. Jasper was standing slouched in the doorway with his eyes on the TV. I grabbed the remote control and switched the TV off. He had strange reactions with things that made a noise.

Once the screen went black, Jasper stood straighter and looked directly at me. That was the first time he had looked at me this week. I forgot how beautiful his eyes were. I think the eye contact made him nervous because he looked down to look at the carpet after a few seconds.

"Me sowy, Ali" he mumbled.

Yep, if it wasn't dad who did, somebody had definitely spoken to him. He wouldn't have come to me on my own. I was still surprised though.

"You don't need to apologize, Jazz. I deserved it" I sighed at him.

He tilted his head and furrowed his eyebrows, seeming rather confused. I nodded toward the space next to me and within the next second, Jasper was by my side, glancing at me nervously.

"Do you remember what happened the last night that you were in my room?" I asked him.

A smile spread across his face as he nodded. Of course he would smile; he had no idea that I shouldn't have done that.

"Jasper, that was a bad thing. I'm not supposed to do that to you" I told him.

The smile turned into a frown. "But you made me feel good. Me like it" he mentioned in a pleading manner.

Now I understand what dad meant when he said that Jasper would be expecting me to do it again. He seemed rather disappointed at my statement.

"I know, Jazz but it's not fair on you. You should be focusing on your learning, not me" I told him.

Jasper just shook his head at me.

"No, my new fwend say that I should tell you sum…sumfing" Jasper said in his usual child manor.

I looked up at him in question and waited for him to carry on. I assumed that his 'new friend' was Peter. Although I waited, Jasper didn't say anything else so I spoke instead.

"Say what?" I asked him.

He took a deep breath and then looked me in the eyes once more so I could get another glimpse of his amazing eyes and then he took a step closer.

"Me love you, Alice" Jasper suddenly said in a slow and meaningful voice.

My body froze in shock. I hadn't seen that one coming. Jasper watched me patiently, waiting for my next reaction or my next words to say to him but truthfully, I didn't know. I had no idea what to reply back and the way I saw it, no matter what I did, both Jasper and I would be digging ourselves in a bigger whole.

Rejection would cause him to avoid me once more and giving in would just make the situation worse and dad might not be so understanding this time. He is already helping us to get out of this mess. I wasn't sure how long it had been but mom seemed to have come to the rescue (probably being aware that Jasper was alone with me which was no longer allowed).

"Jasper, sweetie, do you want to help me make some banana muffins?" She asked as she walked in the room.

Jasper turned around to look at her and gave her a small nod; not the usual excitable reaction mom usually gets from him so she was aware that something was up but seemed to ignore it for now. Jasper turned his head to look at me in the eyes one last time before he left with her.

Once they were both gone, I sighed deeply to myself. What was I going to do?

So tell me what you think!

I will be updating 'a fighting chance' either tomorrow or the day after so a heads up if you're reading that.
