Hey guys! Been a while! I know 2 months again... I get it! Now that 2014 is right around the corner! I might as well make a fresh new start! :) I will return to writing and finishing this story! :) Now on to chapter 13!

Lucy's POV

There I sat on a picnic bench on campus, running through some quick Chemistry homework. Law of conservation of mass, and Hess's Law, hurray. Might as well hit me with the textbook. I turn to page, and scan it. I turn the page again, until a pair of hands cover my eyes. I wear a flirtatious grin on my face.

"Alright, give me your love and affection and nobody get's hurt." a grumpy voice whispers, as I take the hands off my face, to see Kendall's head resting gently on my right shoulder. "Hello beautiful." he smiles at me, as he pulls out a CD inside of a yellow case.

"What's this?" I ask curiously.

"Well, I did what I promise back at the beach. I made you a CD of all the Coldplay sounds that are just phenomenal." He explains, and hands it to me.

"You're still on that? Really?" I respond, I look at the CD. I turned it over to see a long list of songs. I count each one, there were 34 list of songs. Charlie Brown, Up In Flames, Clocks, Trouble, the list goes on.

"You should listen to number 24. It's my favorite." Kendall recommends, as he lifts his head off my shoulder and takes a seat beside me. I look for 24, and I fall upon the song 'Yellow'.

"Yellow? That sounds like a song that kindergarten teachers would use to talk about colors." I comment on the title, Kendall rolls his eyes at my comment.

"Well, it isn't. Just when you get home tonight, listen to it." he pauses for a breath, and takes my hand in his. "So, I was wondering if you're doing something tomorrow after school?"

"Well, not that I know of. I guess nothing, why?" I ask curiously,

"I want you to accompany me on a trip tomorrow. It'll be fun!" he smiles assuringly,

"Accompanying? Well that's a new way of saying 'date'," I chuckle a little, "but sure." I agree then the bell rings.

"Cool! I'll see you tomorrow then!" He spoke as he gets up to walk to his class. He waves and we say our farewells.

James' POV

It was lunch and I met up with Carlos and Logan at the cafeteria. Carlos was munch on today's Mucho Grande Nachos. While Logan and I were talking to each other. We sit at our usual table when we see Camille walk towards us with someone new.

"Hey Camille." Logan smiles as he greets Camille.

"Hey Logan. Hey guys!" Camille greets us, Logan and I nod in acceptance.

"Who's the pretty girl next to you?" Logan raises an eyebrow curiously.

"This is Alexa Vega. She's going to be the new president of the Drama Club when I graduate," Camille introduces Alexa, Logan and I wave. I look over to Carlos who's still munch. I nudge me with my elbow, and he looks up and he drops his food. I watch him stare at Alexa in awe. I look to Logan and we shared a smirk. Carlos seems to be in love.

"Hi!" He muffles with the food around his mouth.

"Hey Carlos!" Alexa replies back, Carlos wipes his mouth with a tissue nearby, and smiles.

"You're pretty!" Carlos blurts out, and Alexa smiles also.

"Thanks." she thanked Carlos, "You're pretty cute yourself."

"Well, we're going to go. I'll see you guys later." Camille interrupts the conversation between Alexa and Carlos. Alexa and Camille walk away, and I see Alexa turn around smiles and wave to Carlos, and they exit. Carlos in amazement sits down with the gigantic grin on his face.

"What was that C- cat?" I tease Carlos,

"I think I found my prom date." Carlos smiles and finishes his nachos, I turn to Logan.

"How's your little quest for Camille going for you?" I ask as I take a sip from my water bottle.

"Well, I think it's been going well. We've both gotten to spend a lot of time together. I think I'll ask her tomorrow. What about you James? Still no idea whom to ask yet?" He questions me,

"Well..." I whirl the water inside the bottle, "I've been sort of avoiding her recently." I confess, when I look up I meet the eyes of Jo across the cafeteria hall. She watches me from afar, and she walks this way. I tilt my head down at the table. I hear her each footstep tap against the tiled flooring, then it stops.

"Hey, uh... James. Can I talk to you for a moment." Jo's voice asks me, I gulp and lift my head to face her.

"Sorry, I have a meeting with someone else important." I lie, as I get up and walk away from the table. Each step away from her made me cringe. I shouldn't have said those words ot her. Those blunt, harsh words. I safely exit the cafeteria in disbelief. I couldn't return to the cafeteria, because if I were to, I'd be questioned by Logan. "Might as well go to the library." I finalized with myself. I made my way to the library, I look around trying to find a table when I spot Lucy by herself. I made my way towards her and took a seat beside her.

"Hey Lucy!" I wear a smile,

"Hey James?" she replies surprisingly, "What are you doing here?"

"Can't a guy visit the library once in a while for fun?" I joke, so I segway into another subject. "So, what are you doing?"

"Well I'm trying to figure out my homework for Chemistry. It's chemical equations, she explained it briefly in class, which left me sort of dumbfounded right now." she explains as she taps her pencil on the table.

"Here, let me help you." I take her paper, and observe it.

"This is easy! I'll teach you." I set the paper on the table and take out a pencil. "Solving a chemical equation is sort of like learning an instrument, once you get use to it, you'll soon understand." I pause as I draw on the paper. "Draw a t-chart on the paper and list the chemicals and right how many is in each chemical equation. It's like a normal math equation you just have to balance everything out." I finalize,

"That sort of makes more sense." she comments, she writes on the paper and shows it to me.

4 P + 5 O2 - 2 P2O5

"There you got it." I congratulate,

"You could say that now, but there's harder problems on the other side of the paper." she adds, then the bell rings as i see students flood the hallways.

"Come back here tomorrow. I'll help you more before finals." I recommend, she ponders on the recommendation.

"Sure, thanks." she grins and begins to head out. I bite the inside of the mouth for a moment.

"Hey, Lucy wait!" I holler to her, she turns back to me, "I have a question."

"Yeah, what is it?" she listens,

"Well, there is a girl I like a lot and I kissed her, but she likes someone else. This girl that I like is friends with the guy, and I'm also friends with the girl. But, I feel like what I did sort of broke the friendship barrier." I explain, as I take a deep breathe, "What should I do? I feel scared of talking to her seen I've kissed her."

"Hmm... well do what any person would do, just grow some balls and talk to her." she states, "Man up a little."

"Thanks, but I am man!" I oppose, she begins to walk away again,

"A man with no dignity!" she waves as she exits the library.
