Why is he staring at Katniss!?
Maybe he feels bad for her?
But he's staring at her the same way Gale does!
I think he likes her!
If I don't win, I want him to.
I wonder, how does he know Katniss?
He's from the town, so aside from school they wouldn't interact.
I mean she never talked about anyone, only Madge and Gale.
I like Madge, she's kind and resembles me with blonde hair and blue eyes.
Gale's more like a brother to me then anything else.
That makes it odd since I think he likes Katniss.
From what I know she also thinks of him his as a brother.
~Later~In Justice Building~
My mom and sister come first, both with puffy eyes.
Katniss is chocking down tears, while my mother has retreated back to the state when dad died.
I decide against asking about Peeta, I need to say goodbye.
I instruct Katniss to milk Lady and take care of a Buttercup.
I hug them before the Peacekeepers drag them away.
I sit in silence but before long the baker walks in.
He sits at the edge of the chair and passes me a white bag full of sugar cookies.
Taking the middle aged man by surprise, I hug him and thank him.
Before he leaves he promises to continue trading with Katniss and Gale.
My next guest is the mayor's daughter, her name is Madge.
I believe she's Katniss's friend.
She pulls out a pin and fastens it on my blouse.
"Promise you'll wear it as your token." She whispers
"I promise" I murmur astounded by the kind gesture.
