Chapter 5-At A Distance
Author Notes: I'm sorry for taking so long, been busy and I kept forgetting to grab my flash drive. So I greatly apologize and don't worry I am still doing this story up until the end! I don't own pokemon nor fairytales!
3rd P.O.V
"Oh Nixie congratulations!" The news spread far and wide…soon it was all anyone was talking about. The youngest princess was deemed capable of heading out into the big blue sea.
It was an hour or so after the ceremony. There was singing and instruments playing. Like the rest of her siblings, the youngest princess received her flower hairpin heirloom.
She was granted permission to go wherever she pleased, and was always welcome home. Curious Dewgong went looking for her majestic friend. It didn't take long for the sea-lion to discover her whereabouts.
"Nixieeeeeee~" A bit of a ways from the palace…A sunken ship. In it was the mermaid sitting next to a statue. Laying her head upon the stone shoulder, she began to day dream. Embracing the handsome prince who stole her heart
His looks, his voice, the bravery and loyalty he shown to his pokemon by protecting his life over his own. They all entranced the princess. "NIXIE!" She yelps falling onto the seafloor. "Ouch!"
Sheepishly the white pokemon apologizes. "You said you were leaving soon, do you have everything?" Rising, she pats off her fin. "Yep." It was true she was going off on her journey.
She had already said her goodbyes to her family…as much as she would love to be with her sisters. She just couldn't, not yet at least. She wanted to improve on her own and return to them showing that the decision made was not a mistake.
"Ok then, I'm ready when you are!" Taking one last glance at the stone replica of the land prince, she swims off…Doubting that she'd ever see him again. And traveling she did. Swimming along meeting new friends and rivals.
One morning however she rose to the surface eager to watch the rising sun. She had no idea of her whereabouts, but it mattered not to her. For being able to see new underwater places. Exploring uninhabited caves and abyss. It was truly terrifying and exciting. Although she did run into trouble a bit.
Cloyster the Bivalve pokemon, the evolved form of Shellder. It battles by shooting out spikes from it's body, then withdrawing into it's shell to protect itself.
One time she and her poke-partner accidentally disturbed a group of Cloyster… to say they weren't too happy was an understatement. They attacked the poor pair with their spike cannons.
If not for the horned pokemons aqua jet, those two would have holes in both them. But other then something like that here and there. It wasn't too bad. "Nixie Humans!" The blond maiden hides behind some rocks…
As she's went along on her journey, the young mermaid has seen much of the human realm as well. And of which has been overly cautious…however it revives old pains. "What's the matter Leafeon? Something out there?" 'That voice!?'
Lately the pair had been staying in an area that's practically an island. With beautiful architecture. Peeking over the rock, she mentally squees. Knowing that voice. 'It's him…'
She analyzed him from the distance, he seemed to have recovered completely from his wound. Not to mention his grass partner seemed to be fine as well. The eevee evolution goes into the water.
"Leaf! Leafeon!" (Come on out! I know you're there.) He wades in the sea water…his red eyes widening in surprise. "Leaf!"(You're the girl from before!) He runs to his human friend, and tries dragging him to their mysterious savior.
"Hey hey what's the pulling for!?" Dewgong in fear of her princess getting hurt or captured. "Dew gong gong gon!" Makes a dramatic splash. Soaking both boys, and allowing Nixie to head underwater.
"Ah-Phre-hey!" The sea lion dives under, meeting her breathless companion. Both had their hearts beating loudly…they rest, and avoid the surface the rest of the day…but Nixie wanted to see him…she wanted to be with him.
"Ssssoooo theeeee priiinceeessss hasssss aaaa crushhhh oonnnn the priiiinceeeeee~ Whyyyyy don'ttt youuuu meeeeet Ladyyyy Lennnaaaaaa? Sheeeee caaannn heeellpppp!" She may be young, but she wasn't naïve.
She had heard many things of Lady Lena, she was the sea-witch, one who could control the sea and the clouds. Normally whenever there is a sea quake or deadly storm, it's due to her dark magic. And innocent beings, pokemon, humans and mermaids disappear due to her as well...
On the other hand, Lena is the only one who could help her. She wants to be with the prince, but well, having a tail and being a sea creature doesn't really work with a human that lives on land with legs.
'It wouldn't hurt to see if she could have a possible solution…could it?' She follows the demonic huntails. At least willing to see if the witch may be willing to help her. The princesses partner glares at the deep sea pair…not at all trusting their words and motives, nonetheless she swims behind her fellow tailed friend.
