Chapter 6-Paid Price
Author Notes: Chappy 6 ^_^ I'm back, and ready for the next part to take place. Me no own Pokemon or the fairytales used!
3rd P.O.V
Hidden in the deep ends of the sea. The underwater current is rapid and fierce. Very few enter this dank territory. For even if you survive the dangerous environment, you risk the encounter of Lena the sea witch.
Nixie, a brave naïve soul enters her dark cavern. There a woman of black hair as long as her body. Eyes as red as rubies, and a smile so menacing you cannot help but cower under her gaze.
"Well well what have we here. A little princess with a heart set on a mortal lover. How priceless…" The young mermaid cautiously approaches the wicked enchantress. "I ask for your assistance…I wish to be with him."
The sea howls as magic surrounds Lena. "I know very much what you desire~ And it can be done!" Hope blooms through the girls chest…Dewgong however remains unsure. "There are consequences child…"
This was what the sea lion feared…she had heard of these so called deals…and from what she recalled there was not one sea creature that was victorious. "Nixie, don't listen to her, let's just go!"
She tries to tug her friend away. But seaweed ensnares her instead. Under a daze Nixie is unable to respond to her pokemons situation. The wicked wench has spread her magic. Nixie will only focus on the love of her heart
"Nix! Nixie! Horn Attack!" Oh how she tried to break free of the water vines. But it was futile. "Little one, the only way for you to get what you want is to join the humans. Give up your tail for a pair of legs~"
'A Human…' Nixie realized what it would mean…she would be in a world unfamiliar to her, away from her family and friends. But on the other hand she would be with her lover.
"Princess Nixie, I will offer you this. I will give you a magic potion, that will bear you the body of a human, you will be able to walk on dry land and be with your precious prince. HOWEVER…"
A small seaquake ruptures. "If he finds love for another on the daybreak of their wedding you will die…becoming seafoam of the oceans surface." Having heard of such a fate the poke partner struggles all the harder to be released. "Aurora Beam!"
Freezing her restraints, the white horned protector rushes to her trainers side. "Don't do it Nixie! It's too risky!" Indecisive…she clenches her trembling hands…she does not want to die, but all the more so she can't imagine her happiness without him.
"Please make me a human!" Lena cackles in amusement. "Don't rush now my dear, for in order for you to obtain the potion you will have to give up your voice as payment." 'My voice?' She questioned how…how would she be able to express herself to her crush.
She flaps above the foolish mermaid. "You should have no trouble, you would be quite the looker in his eyes and with legs you'd be able to dance~ And because I'm so kind I will also offer a potion to your little friend there as well…and she will be able to change her form at will."
The potion would have Dewgong take a different pokemon form. She doesn't buy it one bit. "Nix we can't trust her." But she saw her companions eyes. She wanted to try…she wanted to at least be with him for a short amount of time.
She sighs, holding her hand. "I'm sorry Dewgong…Lady Lena I accept your terms…" She gives up her beautiful voice. Even if she did indeed win over the prince she will forever remain mute, unable to tell him her feelings.
A whirlpool enshrines the maiden, sucking away a bright light from the young gambler. In her hands, two red liquid filled bottles. Her instructions were clear. She was to head into the surface of a beach or some other land mass.
Both she and Dewgong would drink all of the contents at sunrise…from there they would receive their land forms(although Dewgong could change to and from) and until the prince either rejected or accepted her love she would remain.
They swam away, but tears drop from out of the sea lion. Nixie worried about her friend and hugs her. "Oh Nixie what have I allowed you to do…never again will I hear your precious voice!"
She tries to tell her that it'll be alright, before she realized that there was no sound…she then offered an apologetic smile. It only created more tears. It was the dead of night. The palace was in a slumber unaware of the bargain just made.
'Goodbye father, grandmother, my dear dear sisters. I love you…' Sending her thoughts to the sleeping family she cared for so greatly for. She heads for the surface. Gripping the concoctions she's given up so much for.
They arrive with a few moments to spare. Sitting on the sandy shore, waves laps over their fins. Trembling, of what the princess could not be sure of, she opens both bottles.
Just as the sun arose to the sky, both chug down the vile drink. Not a drop was left from either clear glass before they fell into thee waves, sinking back into the sea. Nixie and Dewgong felt sheer agony.
The taste was unbearable. They were unable to describe the disgusting bitterness of the drink. Before an intense flame engulfed their insides. She felt like dying, both did, as their bodies took to the forms necessary for earth environments.
The pain being too intense caused both to fall unconscious. A boy the age of 16. Woke early that morning. He thought to head down to the beach as he did every morning. To play songs on his flute, play with his partner Leafeon, and dream of the woman who saved his life.
He fell hard for her. Selflessly risking her own life for his. Majority of the time spent with her were blurry, his strength constantly fell and grew. He saw glimpses of long hair and dark colored eyes.
One thing that remained in his memory was a voice. It was soft but held confidence, compassion. It reminded him much of the instrument he has played since he was a child.
He looked out of the balcony of his room. He saw a beautiful glow of the bright blinding sun. Revealed, now no longer hidden in the shadows…a woman and a glaceon laying on the beach, unmoving, unconscious. In dire need of help.
