Poketales-The Little Mermaid (Starring Nixie the Mermaid, and Sora the prince)
Chapter 8-Discovery
Author Notes: Ready to go next chapter coming up. I don't own pokemon or the little mermaid.
3rd P.O.V
Time passed...days became weeks and weeks morphed into months. It was rather peaceful. Prince Sora was well acquainted with the princess by now.
Despite her lack of being able to speak he was able to communicate with her. Her expressions and actions spoke louder then anything else.
One day when Glaceon wanted to shift back into her true form. She relaxed in the cool blue sea.
Only for children to throw rocks and make fun of the poor sea lion. Nixie seeing her friends distress from the window of her room.
Sprinted, away from Sora and the questions he was trying to ask.
He followed. Surprised as what he witnessed. In her gown, she pushed the mean children gently to the side. Protecting her partner.
Getting wet, getting dirty, shielding the large pokemon she stood firm. With an expression of determination.
He intervened telling the children how they shouldn't do it. They fled, not wanting to get in trouble.
Sora couldn't help but notice throughout her stay that she was not like other girls.
Seeing her expressions so sincere, so gentle. Eyes of sapphires...hair shining like the sun. She was beautiful to him, both inside and out.
Especially when she plays her harp harmoniously with his flute. She can't read the music, but she need not need to. For as any other expert in music knew...it comes from the heart.
She was willing to listen to any troubles that came to him. Though she was unable to reply, seeing her warm blue orbs eased his pain, his worries.
It was astounding at how close they became. As an only child he had been given riches and everything he could want...except to be normal and simply enjoy life.
As the royal heir he has to marry a princess and obtain the title as king. He was to be responsible for the whole country. Keeping peace and prosperity.
Ever since childhood he was taught to be serious and studied long and hard in politics and fiance. His parents were strict, most disciplined.
That's why he left home, keeping distance from his overly controlling parents. Then of course...the incident that nearly claimed his life.
After he nearly drowned and was rescued by that mysterious maiden he searched high and low for her.
Never to be found. He still couldn't forget her...but it was clear to him that after all the changes in seasons that he would never find her.
It was foolish really...when he spoke of her, many said that it was only his imagination...that he had saved himself.
He knew this was false but what could he do? He had no evidence other then a fish scale...'Wait...fish scale.' It then came to him.
A little while before the storm, he saw a...! A mermaid and a dewgong.
Thinking back, there shouldn't be Any Dewgong here. Sure there were wild water pokemon here but...it's much too warm for that specific pokemon to be in this area.
'Could it be possible that the reason I have been unable to find her is because she is a mermaid?'
Despite people saying that there was no mermaid that night, he knew it to be true. Matter of fact something was odd to him.
That day...when the princess protected the dewgong, it wasn't at all frightened with her approach.
If anything the dewgon tried to move..to get in front of Her. It was trying to defend her in case those children tried to throw more rocks.
His eyes widened in shock at the memory. 'And at that point in time her glaceon was nowhere to be found. But the moment the dewgong went away...glaceon came back.'
He then recalled another strange coincidence...glaceon was hurt...on it's shoulder.
It was a light wound, but still. Far too many little things here and there made this very unusual. He thinks perhaps he's blowing things out of proportion.
Or perhaps he's not remembering accurately. But at this moment in time he knows of four things.
1...That dewgong should not have been there.
2...His house guest is hiding things from him.
3...He's going to find out these secrets.
And 4...Despite all of that he's still falling for her.
Leafeon took a glance at his master at the window...contemplating. He knew what was troubling him.
The girl and his icy counterpart. Glaceon had put up an ice shield demeanor whenever he poked his head around her and her trainer's background.
It was highly suspicious to him. He was confident that eventually they'd make a mistake.
And that he'd be there to catch them. A girl that resembled a mermaid that spied on them only a day before their arrival.
A missing dewgong but glaceon in it's place. He wanted answers...and...
It was later that night, as he was prowling along the manor, that he saw it. He got exactly what he wanted. The explanation to everything...now if only he could tell his master what it was.
To be continued...
Author Notes: Ugh I hate how I keep making these short. But It's also a tad easier to write and submit, and my rule is, is that it should be between 1000-3000 give or take so otherwise it's wayyyy tooo lonnnggggg or way too short.
So yes. It was in 3rd person...meaning narrator. Yes this chapter more or so pertains to Sora and Leafeon trying to dscover the truth.
And yes this was made to make it seem like a mystery/detective thing.
I've been obsessing over watching a gameplay of Phoenix Write: Trials and Tribulations...so this chapter probably came because of that... ehe...
Anyways Reviews(that is helpful and constructive) Favs/follows/ all that jazz~ Tchao for now ^_^
