Author's Note: Yay, more Christmas drabbles! I know I haven't been writing much in the WWE fandom, but I feel like my ideas were lacking in something, so I took a break for a little while. I'm going to try really hard to get back into my Kaitmus flow, so send in those requests! Anyway, hope you all enjoy.
New Year's Kiss~
Every year the WWE threw a Christmas/New Years Party to celebrate. Nearly every superstar and diva were invited to help celebrate the new year. The venue was huge, and decorated nicely, there was tons of food, lots of music for dancing, and of course, and huge TV to watch the ball drop to start of the new year. It was always an amazing party, and everyone had a lot of fun.
Now this year, Kaitlyn actually went to the party. Normally, she'd be at home, watching TV and celebrating the holidays with herself and her cat, but her best friend AJ had begged her to come. She said that it would be a lot of fun, and Kaitlyn, well, she reluctantly agreed. However, as soon as they arrived to the party, AJ ditched her, and Kaitlyn was again alone. She contemplated leaving, but decided against it because she knew that AJ would get mad at her. So instead of being a party pooper, she made her way over to the bar to grab a drink. It would help loosen her up a bit.
"Can I have a beer please?" She asked to the hired in bartender.
"Kaitlyn, is that you?" A voice beside her asked. The hybrid diva then turned around only to see Sheamus standing beside her. She didn't think that he was the type of guy to come to these types of things. But she remembered that he was a popular superstar, so a lot of people probably wanted him to come.
"Hey Sheamus." She greeted lamely.
"I'm surprised you actually came this year." He replied with a jovial grin.
Kaitlyn sighed as she watched the bartender ready her drink, "AJ invited me."
"Ah..."
"And then she ditched me." She added.
Sheamus chuckled, "That's alright lass, you can hang out with me." He said, as the bartender finally gave Kaitlyn her beer. Sheamus' eyes widened, "I didn't take you for a beer drinking girl." He chuckled as he spoke.
Kaitlyn laughed, "Well Sheamus, it seems that there's a lot you don't know about me." She joked. They were hitting it off pretty well, and the blonde diva decided that maybe coming to this stupid party wasn't such a bad idea after all. Hell, she was making a new friend out of it. Of course, she and Sheamus had spoken before, but they weren't too close. So they spent the time getting to know each other, and before you knew it, it was five minutes until midnight, and the ball was almost ready to drop. "Do you know what they say on new years?" Kaitlyn asked, as she sipped on her third beer; she was pretty tipsy now.
"What do they say?" The ginger asked, on his third beer as well.
"That if you kiss someone at midnight, you'll have good luck all year." She replied, looking over at the man.
"Do you believe that?" Sheamus asked skeptically.
Kaitlyn shrugged, "I don't know, I've never tried it."
Sheamus laughed, "Me either."
Kaitlyn hesitated for a moment before she spoke her next words, "Should we...?" She asked, looking up into Sheamus' emerald eyes. God, was she really that drunk right now? Or was she just desperate? Because those words just shocked the both of them. "I mean... We don't have to, it was just a suggestion... I can-" She began to ramble, until Sheamus cut her off.
"Let's do it." He said determinedly.
"Really?" She asked, surprised.
"Sure." He nodded, looking up at the TV. There was about a minute left now, so her and Kaitlyn began to count down. 59, 58, 57, 56... "Get ready." He laughed, "It's almost here." 9, 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2... And finally, he and Kaitlyn pressed their lips together quickly, both tasting of beer, and they kissed until the ball fully drop, and they heard everyone yell happy new year. He wasn't a bad kisser, Kaitlyn had to admit. And now, she was glad that she had suggested the kiss.
"Happy new year Sheamus." She said, smiling.
"Happy new year Kaitie." He replied with an equal grin.
