Chapter 15: Traitor

xxXXxx

Tsuna had received their message, loud and clear. They weren't angry or anything. They didn't hate him, but instead, respected him. The brunet never felt so happy in his life. The feeling of having more friends was the best thing to have.

He packed the rest of his belongings in a travel bag. It's almost time... He thought as he balled his hands to a fist. They were finally prepared, and it's almost time to show off their skills to the whole mafia community. Tsuna eyed his ring with full determination… until he saw that his sky lion was yet to return to a ring.

"GAO!"

"AAAHHH! I'M INNOCENT!"

Tsuna sweat dropped upon that. Uwahh! I forgot to call Natsu! He thought as he zipped the travel bag, with his left eye twitching. After doing that, he ran outside—which made him regret the very move. Orange fire, on cue, spewed out of Natsu, and to Tsuna's face.

"HIIEEE! WHAT WAS THAT FOR?!" The brunet shrieked. He put out the flames on his hair and tried to glare at the cub. The sudden amount of light made the brunet blind for a few minutes.

"Tsu-TSUNA-KUN! HELP ME!"

"That voice—ENMA?! WHAT ARE YOU DOING?!"

"YOUR CAT WAS SHOOTING ME WITH BALLS OF FLAMES!" Enma, the red head, shouted.

"ENMAA!" NATSU IS A LION! Tsuna shouted, with the last part being left unsaid. He squinted his eyes until the figure of his friend appeared. Enma had burns all over… and an afro. The brunet had to rub his eyes for confirmation but… Enma was really wearing an afro. Why was Enma wearing an afro?

The brunet awkwardly coughed, as his lion cub transformed back to a ring. "Err… Enma… why are you wearing an afro..?"

"Oh… You mean this..?" The red head patted his curled-up hair.

~FLASHBACK~

-Time reverse~

"FIND THE PERSON DOING WHO IS THIS!"

Enma didn't bother to do a double take and fled in fear of Tsuna's cat (lion). He ran and didn't bother to take the gravitational rings off of Tsuna since he was required to stay in bed for atleast a few more minutes. The red head yelped when the cub was gaining speed… while getting ready to shoot. Enma instantly paled and ran faster, now using his… "Oh shit! Gravita Della Terra is on Tsuna-kun!"

He continued to run away from Tsuna's cat (LION) as fast as he can since the stalling thing was still on Tsuna so no Gravita Della Terra. And using the star gravity or maybe the black hole was out of question. This was Tsuna's cat (LION!) for crying out loud! The first ball of flame was released and Enma managed to dodge a good few millimeters.

"Na-Natsu! I'm innocent! Don't shoot!" Enma pleaded to no avail as another ball of flame was spewed out. It almost hit Enma's elbow if not for the quick evading. He let out a sigh of relief—but managed himself to hit a wall incredulously. On cue, a large ball of fire engulfed Enma…

END OF FLASHBACK~

"… Gravita Della Terra wore off right after that… I think. I was running away every since…" Enma explained.

Cue the growling stomach.

Enma lightly scratched his cheek, embarrassed for his own stomach. "Hehehe… I wasn't even able to eat…"

"Ah! If you want, there are some left-over at the dining room." Tsuna suggested which the red head happily agreed to. Not long after, Enma disappeared in search for the dining room, and Tsuna continued to finish sorting some other things.

The red head walked as he rubbed his grumbling stomach. Man, doing some hard work deserves a nice treat… and that is good food. He goofily smiled to himself as he thought of the left-over at the dining room. Everything was supposed to be going great until he heard someone grunt from the nearest door he was at.

"B-Boss..!"

"It's going to be *grunts* alright!"

Enma, bewildered by his thoughts, went near the door and pressed his ear against it. Those voices… Romario-san and Dino-san..? He mentally asked. The thought was shoved to the back of his mind as he heard the bed creak a few times. What are they doing?! His curiosity asked.

"Boss! I don't think—!"

"Shhh! Romario… It's really going to be alright."

The red head's face nearly matched his hair color when he heard the bed creak even more and something zipping? Or unzipping..? Still curious, Enma pressed his ear against the door further.

"Boss… I told you to be gentle! At this r-rate… it will be messy..!"

"I said I have this handled, Romario." Dino's voice said through the door.

"Boss! It's coming out! It's coming out!"

"Just hold still! I'm also having a hard time, you know!"

Enma heard Dino grunt another more and the bed creak was suddenly louder than usual. His eye twitched non-stop of what his mind was concluding. How can they do such a thing?! And they were loud too!

"Ugh! Can't you do it a little faster boss? Or should I do it..?" Romario's voice was a little tired and was lightly panting.

"I'm doing the best I can! I just need to..!"

Enma heard a loud creak and a loud moan.

"Boss! It came out! It came out, BOSS!"

"I'M SO SORRY ROMARIO! I had no idea it would come like this!"

Enma twitched. Came out? What the heck?!

"How will I clean this?! This will take me more than five hours!"

That was then Enma crossed the line. He barged into Dino and Romario's room. He was seriously into lecturing them—even if he was younger than them. It was an immoral act for crying out loud! As he opened the door, the first thing he saw was the color white.

A dark shadow cast over Enma's eyes. What's the meaning of this?! He mentally shouted. He stared at the thin air. Now, Enma was standing there stiff while Romario and Dino stared back with surprised eyes.

The staring contest continued until a piece of paper finally landed on Enma's head.

"So… What brings you here, Enma?" Dino asked with an eyebrow quirked upward.

Enma remained petrified as his brain processed all the things his eyes were registering. This was awkward. Brain processing failed. Then, Enma started to ask his own questions, ignoring Dino's first question.

"What were you doing..?"

"Oh. You mean this?" Dino pointed at the broken briefcase. "Funny story actually." The blonde scratched the back of his head as he sheepishly smiled at the red head. "I was going to keep all these papers in this suitcase but as you can see… Even while Romario was holding it down the best he can, it was no-good… Why were you asking abo—Ohh…" Dino awkwardly coughed. Now understanding why Enma had to barge like that.

"I'm so sorry for the misunderstanding, Enma-kun."

Enma just shook his head, saying that it was all fine. Right after that, he found his way to the dining room with no other casualty.

-A FEW HOURS LATER-

"Attention! We are going to board the Vongola private plane! Everyone please be aware of your belongings as we go for the ride!" Gianini said through the PA. They were by the private airport designed just for the Vongola Famiglia. The place was seriously grand. They Vongola crest was proudly embossed on the private plane. Mafiosos lined into two as they waited for the arrival of the participants, the guardians and the boss.

"Best of luck, boss." The Mafiosos said, bowing as they arrived.

Tsuna's class just had to stare in awe. Those line of men—or Tsuna's men, they say, were for a fact many and intimidating. They could see that 'Tsuna's men' have the respect for their boss, but this form of respect seemed to make the brunet flush… but he smiled nonetheless.

The luggage of the class was stored in the plane. Now, they walked by the line of the men. Those men stood straight, not malingering, or any other motion. The class looked around. They couldn't help but think that the sky was somewhat ominous, despite the fact that it was bright and shining.

Upon entering, the class had to gasp again. Now, they weren't feeling the regret of joining the mafia… Everything was freaking fancy! This private plane might put a government plane to a shame!

Fancy chandeliers hanged above the velvety couches, a glossy mahogany table to match it. Fine red carpets were placed for the floor. At the side, a mini bar was there. It had assorted brands of wine, from the finest to the newest. On the opposite side was like a sushi stand that had delectable, mouth-watering sushis waiting for them. And if that's not all, way back of the plane was a restaurant that contained all the finest dishes ever wished for. While in that restaurant, there were two grand staircases on each side. The left would be the stairs to the arcade; the other would be the stairs to the meeting room.

"This is awesome!" Hibiki shouted.

"I wish I could live in a place like this!" Yuki dreamed.

"Nevermind that!" Michi exclaimed as she briskly walked to the sushi stand, "Is there someone operating this?! I'd like to hat fat tuna please~!"

"One tuna, coming up!" A voice said. It revealed to be a person that looked like Yamamoto.

"Oyaji?!" Yamamoto blurted out.

"Yo! Takeshi! What brings you here?" His father shouted back.

Everyone had to look back and forth from Yamamoto to his father, Yamamoto Tsuyoshi. The resemblance was definitely there. Tsuyoshi ignored the questioning faces of Takeshi and his friends… and companions. "I remember my time when Battaglia Del più Forte. Vongola was at its strongest when you stop and think about it…" He said while preparing the ordered sushi.

"—WAIT! Oyaji, you were part of the Vongola?!"

"Not Vongola. CEDEF. I worked for CEDEF back in my days." He explained as he handed the plate of sushi.

It was completely silent as they found themselves listening with all ears, and seated at the nearest seat. The hatch for the plane slowly closed and the pilot braced them for the flight.

Their seats automatically turned on the seatbelts, and Tsuyoshi sat on a seat too as he braced for the flight. The plane took off, and the jiggled to the extreme. When the first part of the flight was done, the seatbelts were turned to manual and they found themselves staring expectantly over to Yamamoto's father.

Behind the scene were the arcobalenos sitting rather comfortably, also interested on listening for the story.

"I never thought that Yamamoto's father would be a part of the mafia." Fon calmly stated.

"Me neither. From all I know, Tsuyoshi's name wasn't written in CEDEF's records. Though… he does look like one of those men in the KIA list." Reborn replied. Then, he turned his head to the infant with keen eyes, "What do you think, Lal?"

"He has uncanny resemblance with Romero Yamato… I'm not so sure though. He was killed by Iemitsu infront of many." Lal said, narrowing her eyes at the sushi maker.

"Wait..! That Iemitsu killed one of his subordinates, kora..?!" Collonelo half-shouted.

"According to his other subordinates, yes." Lal answered. "An illusion perhaps…"

"That is far from an illusion. It's too real to be one." Mammon commented. Behind the hood, his eyes carefully examined the figure standing before them. Deciding to ignore, he went back to staring at a distant.

Going back, Tsuyoshi was reluctant to give his background. The people surrounding him were practically begging for answers—and his sons eyes were something he couldn't deny. With a sigh, he gave up and told his background.

"Fine, fine. I'll tell you—but never tell Tsuna's father that I told you!" He tersely reprimanded.

Nods were received and went back to eagerly waiting for the story to happen.

=FLASHBACK=

Yamamoto Tsuyoshi fell down on one knee, his left hand clutching his right arm. His eyes squinted down due to the pain he was currently enduring. Ten years ago was yet another fight of the strongest. Of course, they were working separate with the Vongola. He and his men were in the middle of a forest. There were some sudden unexpected attacks coming from god-knows-where, and there were sudden combats from enemies coming in.

It was the main and final event of Battaglia Del più Forte. All guardians and newbies, together with their boss, were required for this event. It was the 'catch the flag' kind-of event, but instead of a flag, was to capture the boss. It was absolutely hard. The defense mechanism was hard and their offensive side wasn't half-bad. One would think that it was too good to be true to have newbies as strong as it was.

"Please hang in there, Romero-kun!" One of his subordinates shouted.

"There's no need." Romero, now Tsuyoshi, reassured. He grimaced a little when he tried to move. "I have my wife and soon-to-be son waiting for me back home. We are not going down, you got that!"

Everyone around him felt their spirits lift up. They got their stances back, ready to fight back anytime. Suddenly a silhouette slowly walked their directions. Romero's men readied their guns.

"Lower your guns!" Romero ordered.

"Thanks, Romero." A familiar voice spoke. The silhouette revealed to be Iemitsu, together with Tumeric and Oregano. Iemitsu was also clutching his right arm while his two companions escorted him towards them. He knelt infront of his friend, eyes saying something serious.

"Listen, we need to make them think that you're dead, Romero." Iemitsu directly said.

"W-Why..?"

"News spread fast. One of the Yakuza clan is planning to extract your Shigure Soen Ryu and kill you right after."

"Why do I need to die?"

"You are one of the two pupils who know this! I'm pretty sure that you master told you that this will be lethal to the hands of others!" Iemitsu briefly stated.

"But if I 'die' because you 'killed' me, then we will be disqualified!" Romero managed to shout back.

"Listen! CEDEF works for the Vongola, so even if we do get disqualified, we will still work for them!"

Romero sighed. "Alright. Kill me." He said with a playful smile.

"Good."

Iemitsu stepped back a few steps and got out a special bullet. "I got this from Reborn a few days back." He inserted the cartridge in the gun and pointed it at Romero's heart. "This will allow you to temporarily die for one week. Now, I want you to think of your happiest memory, so that you will have a pleasant dream during your sleep."

BANG!

A few moments later, Romero fell down. Eyes were turned to dull and lifeless.

Iemitsu turned to face the others. "Do not speak of this to anyone. If someone asks, say that this person was killed by me. Or if someone asks of his name, tell them he does not exist…" He eyed the lifeless Romero. "He will live by a different name from now on…"

-END-

"…And that's how it is… I can't go too much into the details, but that is only a part of what I can tell you." Tsuyoshi said with a sigh. He surveyed the whole plane, and then shoved the atmosphere aside. "So, who wants some sushi?"

Unexpectedly, they read the situation and went for ordering for themselves, setting aside the questions that they wanted to ask themselves.

Hibari went upstairs because of the crowding herbivores. Mukuro went to the mini-bar, with Chrome tagging along. Gokudera and Tsuna went for ordering some sushi. Yamamoto helped his old man prepare the orders. Lambo slept along the way.

The whole place became lively again—as if nothing had happened awhile ago, and went to the place they want to go (mostly for the arcade), and that includes Ryohei.

"Ah! That reminds me! Yamamoto-san! Why are you on this plane?" Tsuna curiously asked.

"Oh! I actually applied for this one! Business was running slow back in Namimori, so I went for this since it had a nice pay!"

The brunet only nodded as he stuffed himself with another piece of sushi.

"Ne, Tsuna, where's Enma and the others?" Yamamoto Takeshi asked, eyeing for the said people. Tsuna swallowed his food then: "They're on a different plane."

"I see…"

"Sa-Sawada…san…" A soft voice spoke.

Tsuna slowly turned around to see who it was. The person who called out to him was Saotome. She was holding some glass of water and from her looks; she was trying to ask if he wanted one. The brunet gratefully accepted the glass of water.

Ba-BUMP!

"A-re?"

"What's wrong, Tsuna?"

"Juudaime, are you alright..?"

Tsuna's two best friends came looking at him with concerned eyes. He returned his looks with a reassuring smile, "It's nothing." With that, he drank all the water in one go, ignoring the disturbing thoughts his intuition were telling him..

Moments have passed and Tsuna slowly stood up from his seat, wobbling to and fro. His vision was becoming blurry and for all he knows… something was moving rapidly in his body. The glass he was holding slipped out of his hands and shattered to a million pieces as it fell into the ground.

Everyone's attention was turned to this. What's happening? They all wondered.

The brunet fell on his knees, eyed slowly shifting from brown to orange and vice-versa.

"Oi Tsuna!" Yamamoto got out of the counter and to his side. Gokudera did the same thing and tended to his boss. Like a domino effect, everyone gathered in a circle, surrounding Sawada. Those who were upstairs were immediately called down with the use of the PA. Even the arcobalenos when to see what was happening.

They could see that the young Vongola boss was in pain. He was struggling with something, and the color shifting in his eyes wasn't a very good sign.

"Everyone get back!" Tsuna managed to shout.

"Juudaime! /Tsuna! /Bossu! /SAWADA!"

"Stand back..!" He gritted his teeth. He continued to struggle for something, and his Hyper Intuition was trying to tell something.

Think! Think back, Tsuna! Why would this happen?! Memories of recent happenings flashed before him. From the first encounter, down to the current ones.

In his mind, it was painfully hard to recall because of his aching everything. "Juudaime, we need to speak." "What is it, Gokudera-kun?" "It's something only you can know." "What is it..?" "The future you told me something." "And that is..?"

"We have a traitor in the class."

"AAHHHHH!" Tsuna shouted with all his might. Everyone had to cover their ears due to the intensity. The brunet's shout seemed to last longer than usual. It was somehow terrifying to see Tsuna act this way.

And suddenly, His eyes and mouth started to release orange flames.

Followed by his own body catching fire—which caused almost everyone to either shriek or call out his name. The place was already filled with great turmoil, and Tsuna's painful shout still continued. His flame was scorching hot, and they could feel the intensity of the heat.

"This is bad…" Reborn muttered, earning more looks for the people around.

"Why is that, Reborn-san?" The right-hand man inquired, eyes not looking away from his burning boss.

"At this rate, Tsuna's life-flame will be consumed… And he will die… Just like what happened to Yuni in the future…"
