Cinderella's best friend

Chapter four

Juvia was wearing a simple blue dress with blue wedges on her feet. She was face palming herself as she saw her fiance arguing with some man in the shop. "You could SEE that I was ready to order first yet that guy barged in front of me and took the last cake that I WAS GOING TO BUY!" The man just turned up his nose at Gajeel and Juvia was really feeling sorry for the man. He didn't know what he just got himself into. No one looks down on Gajeel. NO ONE.

"Well if you really want to know something, I don't serve delinquents that are hassling my customers. Now get out of my bakery!" Obviously, this man didn't know the own monarchy of his country. Juvia grabbed Gajeel's arm as she tried to pull him away. He just wasn't going to leave it like this though!

"How am I a delinquent when all I want is some damn cake for my fiance and I'm willing to pay?! I wasn't even hassling anything you stupid old man! You know what, fuck you and your bakery! I can't believe my dad lets little shits like you have shops!" The man froze and Gajeel smirked.

"I never usually pull this card because I'm usually left alone, but I think you know who I am." He finally let Juvia drag him out of the shop, but not without knocking the man's cake out of his hand. "That will teach you to barge into me." Then he turned around with Juvia sighing and apologizing to everyone in the shop.

"Gajeel! You didn't have to do that! Juvia was so embarrassed. We could have just gotten cake from somewhere else!" Even though she really did want that cake. She couldn't believe that after so many years of her not being in the country, they still had that recipe.

Gajeel snorted. "I was doing something nice for you!" Juvia glared up at him and he shrugged.

"If Gajeel wanted to do something nice for Juvia, he would have snatched that cake from that man's hands and given it to Juvia so that she could have eaten it front of him, not knock it on the floor!" He grinned at her, liking her idea. That would have been way better.

They both walked in a comfortable silence. Juvia was looking at Gajeel out of the corner of her eyes. She would have never thought that her crush on Gray would have been diminished by a forgotten childhood crush that was a Prince! His rugged and rough good looks really added to his charm. If there was something that she had just realised, it was that she had a tendency to crush on the 'bad boys.' She was just that sort of girl.

"I know, I'm hot." She almost jumped as Gajeel then turned his head to grin at her. She huffed.

"How did Gajeel even know that Juvia was looking at him?" He shrugged at her, although his red eyes never left her face.

"Easy, I was checking you out of the corner of my eyes too." The blood rushed straight to her face and it was evident on her cheeks. Gajeel smirked and looked away, feeling satisfied with what he just did.

"What are we doing anyway? Or is Gajeel just walking around and wasting Juvia's time?" He flashed her a frustrated look.

"You're my fiance, your time is my time and my time is yours. Plus, my mum said that we have to get to know each other after the huge gap that is now between us." Juvia nodded her head but Gajeel wasn't finished.

"So far, I've learnt that you love cake, you're just as mean as I am, but at the same time, you're a caring person and judging by the ingredients that are in that bag, you also love to cook. Am I right or am I right?" Juvia gave him a baffled look. She was so surprised that he was able to read that much of her in about the past two hours that they'd been out together.

"Yes, Gajeel is correct," she mumbled. That hurt to say and Gajeel knew that it did. "Wait, But Juvia is not as mean as Gajeel is!" He smirked at her and it made her shiver at how he was looking at her. It really has to be one of the biggest sins to look this hot. She just couldn't believe it. A guy like Gajeel wanted to marry her. Then she felt him patting her head. She looked up at him with surprised.

"Stop overthinking things. You look so serious all the time, just snap out of it and keep calm." He started to walk away from her and she froze. He was right. She had to stop over thinking these things and just be happy with what she had. After all, if he had fallen in love with Levy before they had met, she clearly wouldn't be here right now. She smiled brightly before running up to his side to catch up to him.

"Now it's your turn. What have you learnt about me?" Juvia cleared her throat as words started pouring from her lips.

"Gajeel lives by his own rules, is easily angered, sarcastic, smirks a lot and is a delinquent. Sometimes though, Gajeel can be very sweet, even if he doesn't want to be called sweet. Oh, and Gajeel is very sexual."

Then she said something under her breath that Gajeel didn't quite hear. "What was that?" Juvia jumped before shaking her head quickly.

"Nothing!" She thought that Gajeel would drop the subject, until she remembered that the person was dealing with was Gajeel. There was no way possible that he would let her get away with it, unless she chose a forfeit.

He smirked as he stopped her in the street and pulled her into him. Her face went bright red as she hadn't been so close to a guy before. "Tell me Juvia, what did you just say." He felt her shiver in his arms and he mentally cheered for himself. His bedroom voice still made women weak to their knees and Juvia was no exception to that.

Juvia was debating whether to tell him or not, but she knew what he would say if she didn't. Not only was she his fiance and vice versa, Gajeel might make her do the unthinkable.

She sighed in defeat, not forgetting that she was still in Gajeel's arms, pressed up against his chest. "Juvia said, and Gajeel is very handsome!" Luckily, the streets were already noisy and because Gajeel hadn't expected the shout and compliment, he had a look of surprise written all over his face. Juvia's blush intensified, and without even realizing it, Gajeel's hold on her lessened and Juvia pushed herself away from him. She couldn't bare to face him as she started walking away from him quickly and he was just grinning behind her.

"I'm handsome huh?"

Juvia sighed as they were now sitting at the dining table having dinner. Gajeel's mother was smiling brightly at the couple. "I hope you've been treating my daughter-in-law well! He has been treating you well, right Juvia?" Juvia nodded her head while smiling. She really like his mother so the smile on her face was far from fake.

"Gajeel did treat Juvia right. He even defended Juvia in a cake shop, though it was in his own way."

The Queen pinched her son's cheeks which made him grunt. "Mum, would you stop?!" The woman giggled and Juvia was smiling next to him. Soon enough, Rogue and Levy was joining them and Gajeel didn't fail to notice the smirk that his mother wore on her face.

"Oh if it isn't my other baby with my other future daughter-in-law!" The blush that came upon their faces was enough to make Gajeel almost piss himself in laughter.

"Muuuum!" The woman just smiled innocently as she kissed Rogue's forehead and hugged Levy before leaving them.

"That woman sure is trouble! Sorry about that Levy..." Levy couldn't even speak. Never had she been so embarrassed in all her life! They soon sat down with Gajeel and Juvia and they all started talking, right until a servant with a small box in his hand came to them.

"For you, my Prince."

The three of them were now watching Gajeel. "Hey Juvia, that cake you wanted, still want it?" Juvia's eyes widened as she nodded her head. Gajeel smirked as he opened the box and Juvia grabbed out the cupcake and began to eat it. Her eyes rolled back in delight.

"This is good, so good! The only thing that would make it better is if that stupid man was here to watch Juvia eat it. That would teach him."

Gajeel started laughing and Levy and Raios just watched them feeling blank. Then suddenly, Juvia was offering Gajeel a piece of her cake. He shook his head at her. "Nah you're good. Just eat it yourself." The reply made her pout, but then she had an idea. She slid onto his lap which made his eyes pop out and one hand pushed his cheeks together inwards so that his mouth would open. Then she slipped the cake into his mouth and shut it for him so that he started to chew. They were both looking into one another's eyes.

"Tastes good."

The way he was watching her took her breath away and she felt like leaning in and kissing his lips, but then she remembered that there were two other people watching them and that she had never kissed a guy before. She turned to a colour of red before sliding off of his lap. "S-sorry, Juvia has to go and shower." She got up faster than he could grab her hand to make her stay. Rogue and Levy were just watching the two, Levy was squealing on the inside at how cute the scene was, but Rogue was just happy that it didn't get out of hand. There was no way he would have ever eaten at this table again. Gajeel scowled at the both of them before pouring some Jack into a small glass and headed out. He loosened the tie around his neck feeling slightly tired and headed up to his room.

He set down his glass and stripped right down to his boxers. Before he could even jump into his bed, he heard the bathroom door open and saw Juvia staring at him with a light blush on his face. Gajeel's eyes wandered over his fiance's body the same way she did over his. "Erm, Juvia is going to bed now. Goodnight Gajeel-kun." She tried to walk past him, but he stood in her way making her fall into his chest. Her smirked down at her, his piercings glistening in the light.

"So it's '-kun' now? What makes you think you're getting out of here now?" Juvia bit her lip as she suppressed a moan that would have passed through her lips when she felt how hard Gajeel's muscles were.

"S-shut up and let Juvia go." Before she could say anything more, Gajeel picked up her up by the waist and walked her over to the bed.

"Don't worry water girl, I won't touch you, I respect you that much. Only that much though so don't get any fucking ideas that you can order me around okay?"

Juvia nodded, knowing it would be stupid if she was to argue with him right now. Not like she minded sleeping with him. It would make a big change. She was just too attracted by the huge male that was now laying next to her. They slipped under the sheets and Gajeel held her body close to him while switching off the lights. Juvia sighed and Gajeel mimicked her before laughing and she elbowed him in the gut.

"Shut up! Now let Juvia sleep in peace." He let his arm swing over her waist and she blushed heavily, wanting to move from his touch yet she felt really comfortable with him there. Seeing as she hadn't done anything, he closed the remaining gap between them and now Juvia's back was pressed gently up against his chest. He buried his face into the crook of her neck, wondering how far he could go before he was crossing the line.

Instead, she just released her shaky breath and snuggled up to him, making him smile against her skin. "Night Juvia." Juvia couldn't find the air to talk. With him being so close, it made her feel hot.

"Night, Gajeel-kun."

The duo both woke up so late, but they didn't seem to care. They had both slept well and they both slept even better when they awoke in each other's arms. Gajeel was the first to wake up. Some time during the night, they must have turned because Gajeel was now on his back and Juvia's head lay on his chest, her hair spread out all around. He grinned down at her, running his hand through her hair.

"Can't believe I found you again, water girl. It's like everything can finally be right again." It was like his voice woke her up as she gently stirred and started blinking. She breathed in deeply, enjoying Gajeel's scent before she turned her head up at an angle to stare at her soon to be husband.

"Good morning, Gajeel-kun." She smiled brightly at him, for once not waking up in a bad mood.

"It is now." His gaze on her was so intense that it made her blush and she looked back down, blushing even more when she saw Gajeel's bare chest staring right back at her. Those deliciously hard abs that she was laying her head on looked amazing on him. She raked her fingers over them gently and gained a deep growl from the male that she basically using as her pillow. She smiled at his response before she looked at the time and gasped.

"Juvia has to go! She was going to have a girl's day out with Levy!" She was so reluctant to leave the nice warmth of Gajeel, but she knew that she had to and she jumped up from the bed, only to have her hand being pulled and the strong forced knocked her back into the bed with a red eyed man hovering over her body.

"Gajeel! Juvia has to go!" She tried to get out of his grip, but he moved his hand in her way and it was like she was caged in. She gave him a warning glare which he returned with a wolfish smirk.

"I'm not doing anything. You can go." She tried to leave only to have his arm being pushed in her face.

"This isn't funny!" He burst out laughing, obviously thinking otherwise. She grabbed his arm to move it out of her way permanently, only to have him start tickling her. That sent her right over the edge as her mouth was wide open and a fit of giggles erupted from it.

"GAJEEL PLEASE STOP! AHAHAHAHAHAHAHA, GAJEEL KNOW'S THAT JUVIA IS VERY TICKLISH! STOOOOOOOOOP!" She rolled all over the place in order to get away from his huge hands that were tormenting her sides, only to keep rolling into another one. Soon she was running out of breath that she could no longer breathe, but luckily Gajeel noticed that and stopped immediately. She was panting with a huge smile on her face and Gajeel was just above her with an unreadable expression on his face.

Juvia could no longer help herself as she brought her hand up and ran it right through Gajeel's hair. His eyes seemed to watch hers and she found herself drowning in his eyes. It was like staring at red planets. The way that she was staring back at her made her feel like she was the only girl in the world. How did she even get here? Lucy was the beautiful one, that's most probably why she got noticed by both Gray and Prince Natsu. So how was it that she, the plain little Juvia managed to find her childhood friend from another country who is the Prince?! That was just mad!

She then noticed Gajeel's eyes floating downwards and she thought he was going to stare at her chest (okay so maybe his eyes did flicker down that low) but then they landed on her lips. Then she started staring at his lips. They were both staring at each other's lips until Juvia smirked. Gajeel really was getting the best of her when it came to smirking. "Why doesn't Gajeel kiss Juvia now then?" His eyes widened a little bit as he was caught out, but then he smirked.

"Don't tell me what to do, Princess." He leaned his head down and Juvia anticipated for the moment when both of their lips would collide with one another, and it did. They both shared a passionate kiss. Well Juvia was more self-conscious about herself as she had never been kissed in her whole 21 years of living. She did what felt natural to her and that was wrap her arms around his neck and pull him closer.

There was then a knock at the door, making them spring apart and Juvia sported a huge blush while Gajeel groaned and fell back onto the bed.

"Juvia, are you up yet? Are we still on for today?!" Juvia shuffled off the bed and she called back.

"Yes Levy-chan, Juvia still needs to get ready though, she'll be down in a few!"

That seemed to be a good enough reason for Levy before she started walking downstairs. Juvia turned to Gajeel and they both stared at each other before Gajeel grinned at her. "Well you finally cracked. I knew it was only a matter of timing." She scoffed at him and threw a pillow at his head as he was laughing.

"If Juvia's memory serves her clearly, Juvia was the one that pushed Gajeel-kun into kissing her!" She glared at him before quickly jumping off the bed and away from his grabbing hands before jumping into the bathroom.

She closed the door and fell against it. Her breathing was heavy and she touched her lips with a smile. She had never felt so happy in all her life ever since things went wrong seven years ago.

So how was that for ya? Did that feed your GaVia appetite? I surprisingly really like this pairing lol. I might end up writing more on this pairing so be aware!
