Hey Dark Gothic Lolita here!

It really has been a while since I last updated this, or any of my stories for that matter. School is really taking a lout out of me at the moment and I have a lot of stories that I would really like to continue before starting up new ones. I haven't forgotten about any of my stories guys!

Well this has been doing quite well in terms of reviews because I'm surprised that there are even people who actually like Gajeel x Juvia pairing! I'm just obsessed with any Juvia crack pairing to be honest with you lol.

Well anyway, I am sorry for any poor spelling and use of grammar. I also don't own Fairy Tail or any of their characters!

ENJOY!

Cinderella's best friend

Chapter five

Juvia was now in a ivory corset blushing as there were multiple women sizing her up with their tape measures. She closed her eyes so that it wouldn't be awkward if she was to make eye contact with one of the women. She hated fittings and she had always been very happy that she had never been privileged to ever have one. She had been there for some of Lucy's fittings whenever she had the time away from her mother. She hated this kind of attention.

"This one has a very generous chest, I'm pretty sure His Highness has some very perverted thoughts about this one." All the women including the Queen started laughing. Juvia had never been more embarrassed in her life and Levy was just ashamed that she didn't have a chest. They both went red and Juvia wanted to do nothing more than wrap her arms over her chest.

"Knowing my son, I honestly wouldn't be very surprised."

Juvia wanted to facepalm, but she had to stay calm because if there was one thing she had promised herself, it was that she wasn't going to get wedding stress.

Yes that's right, Juvia was now dress shopping for her upcoming wedding.

"Okay we have the measurements, now we'll need you to come and look at the sort of dress you want." They grabbed her arms and led her to another room where the Queen and Levy followed her too. Juvia's jaw dropped as she looked around her at the assortment of wedding dresses. She never thought that she would have ever had this sort of choice! There were so many to choose from.

"Oh...Juvia is going to have such a hard time choosing!" The Queen smiled and so did everyone else. No matter what kind of woman you are, whether you're picky or not, when it came down to your wedding day, you wanted the best dress you could ever find. It had to scream you, but at the time be the most elegant dress you will ever wear in your life.

"On the day of the wedding, you're going to need to have two dresses. One for the church and one for the reception. The reception dress would be more of an evening gown. Take your time, this is going to be your special day after all."

Juvia cupped her hand over her mouth as the tears started flowing out. All the dressmakers started running around for a tissue to give to the soon to be Princess. As soon as they gave it to her, she thanked them before looking at all of them.

"Juvia is sorry, she just never thought she would get the opportunity to get married to anyone, talk less of a PRINCE who turns out to be her childhood best friend that she forgot about. Juvia is just so happy, and grateful."

Levy hugged her hard. "It's okay, just breathe. Your mum isn't here to stop you and ruin it for you. You can do this." Juvia nodded and wiped her tears before Levy pulled away from her and smiled. Juvia smiled once more before looking at all the dresses.

~x~

After four hours of searching for a dress, she finally found the perfect dress. It had a corset top and the bottom of the dress came out as though it were a flower. It looked like an ball gown, yet so elegant, so pure! It was the purest white she had ever seen. On the mannequin, there was a bracelet the size of her forearm, all in real diamonds. That's the dress she wanted while standing next to Gajeel.

"Juvia loves this..."

"We found the perfect dress! Okay girls, we have her measurements, let's begin working on it. We won't let you down Princess!"

"Please, it's Juvia!" They ignored her, still calling her Princess.

"Okay, if you go and change back, we'll have your dress in time for the wedding."

The Queen led out both the young women as they made their way to their carriage. "Well that was certainly a day don't you think! Very soon we'll be coming back here, right girls?" Juvia smirked as she looked at Levy and she didn't get it. That was until Levy processed what the Queen had just said and her face was on fire.

"Yeah right...It's early days, early days."

The Queen looked at Juvia and gave a 'yeah right' look. The carriage door was opened and they thanked the men before getting in. The hatch door opened and their driver was looking at them. "Where to now, my Queen?"

"Could you please take us to the best bakery in town? I think we all need a break, especially you men! I know it's not your thing for waiting around, especially because we were dress shopping." The man laughed, claiming that it was his job before closing the hatch and they were moving.

Juvia was looking out at the scenery when she heard the Queen calling her. "It sure has been a while since you were here. Tell me again, how did your father pass on?"

Juvia sighed and fiddled with her hands in her lap. "He died of pneumonia. Juvia went out because it was snowing and when she didn't come back, father went out looking for her. Juvia finally returned, but father did not. He was out all night looking for Juvia. When he finally came home, father was ill and mother wasn't happy with Juvia. Father finally passed on a week later and mother has hated Juvia since then..."

The whole carriage was silent until the Queen moved next to Juvia and gave her another motherly hug. Juvia's eyes widened before she hugged the woman, not yet used to this feeling. "You mother...it was so clear she was only marrying your father because of his status. You aunt, your father's older sister never liked her because of that sole reason and she knew why your mother married your father. You're just like your aunt and your mother hated that because she didn't like her much either."

Juvia gasped, not even knowing.

"Anyway, we're here!"

They got out of the carriage and Juvia gasped when she saw the bakery. "Oh no," she whispered to herself as they were all escorted into the bakery.

Everyone stood up at the sight of their Queen and everyone was silent. The baker who refused to sell Gajeel the cake was their and he looked up, his face falling in shock when he saw the Queen. Then he saw Juvia and he started looking behind them to make sure that Gajeel wasn't with them. When he wasn't, he relaxed slightly, but he was still uptight. What if Gajeel had snitched on him? Juvia was laughing at how nervous the man was. This was going to be good.

"UUUUGH I'M SO BORED!"

Rogue just rolled his eyes as he continued reading his book. All three guys were done ages ago as they were only suit shopping. Gajeel wanted to use the one that he used back for his cousin's wedding, but his dad wouldn't let him. He chose a new white suit instead.

The King had frowned. "What is with you and white suits? You're not exactly a goodie goodie person for white."

Gajeel glared at his dad while the the King just grinned at Rogue.

"Very funny dad. I dunno, I just like it. Not to mention Juvia's going to be wearing white, might as well match with her." His brother and father both blinked at him, then each other before they started laughing making Gajeel angry.

"What's so funny?!"

"Can't believe that Gajeel's baby crush is still there! Hahaha! Not so tough now are ya son? To think that you haven't even seen her for the past...15 years!"

"Shaddap you old man!"

Just then, the Queen, Levy and Juvia walked into the room, looking blankly at a laughing Rogue and a King. Juvia looked at Gajeel who was seething until he turned his gaze to see who had walked in and when he saw Juvia, the angry expression on his face left and Juvia smiled at him. Both the other Redfox men saw exactly what had just happened, but not to push it, they just shut their mouths while smirking.

"We had such an eventful day today, didn't we girls? Juvia found her perfect dress, we have to just now plan the whole wedding reception! Also, we saw this scared baker who would literally keep on showering Juvia with cakes. I wanted to tell him that she was taken, but I have a feeling he already knew that."

Gajeel laughed because he knew who it was. Everyone looked at him and Juvia tried to contain her laughter. Levy rolled her eyes.

"Clearly, Gajeel has already intimidated that man before."

Gajeel just shrugged his shoulders before his mum and dad had to leave for something, leaving the four of them. "Oh yeah Juvia I forgot to tell you that-"

A white cat came in through the open door and Juvia gasped before bending down to pick it up. "CARLA! Wait, this is Carla right?" The cat meowed and snuggled into her and Juvia smiled. "If Carla is here, that means that so is Wendy!"

Juvia ran to the door and crashed into something smaller than her. She gasped and quickly held up her sister so that she wouldn't fall. "WENDY!"

"JUVIA!"

Juvia set Carla down and hugged her younger sister. "How is Wendy even...GAJEEL-KUN!"

Wendy laughed and nodded her head. "Gajeel-san said that he was going to send for me to come and visit for a week." Juvia frowned and wondered when he had said that. Either way, she was happy she was here now!

Gajeel came to the door of the library as did Levy. "Oh you have a little sister? She's so cute! Hey, I'm Levy! I never met you, I've only seen your older brother and Juvia!"

Wendy nodded as she bowed to Wendy and to Gajeel. "Did you get here alright kid?" Wendy nodded her head before quickly hugging him.

"Yes, thank you Gajeel-san, for making me be able to come here." He just smiled and hugged her back.

"That's alright kid. Anything for my fiance and I could tell she was missing you." Juvia looked up at him as she was stroking Carla.

"Oh, another cat. I've got one called Lily. Looks like a teddy bear though."

Juvia raised an eyebrow at him. She thought he would be more of a dog person than a cat person. "Then why hasn't Juvia seen Lily then?" Gajeel shrugged before leading them down the hall. Levy went back into the library with Rogue.

"I figured that Wendy could stay in your old room."

When Juvia pushed back the door, Wendy gasped. "Wait, Juvia-nee, did you live here before? Is this the house that Mum was talking about? Wait, that means you knew Gajeel from before then! Huh? I don't get it...Wait, that means that you used to know each other before, but then forgot each other, now you remember and you're getting married?"

Juvia and Gajeel couldn't get a word in edgewise as the young teen just kept on talking before she looked at them with wide cute and bright eyes. Juvia shrugged helplessly, knowing it sounded pathetic. "Yeah..."

Wendy wanted to laugh, but instead she clasped her hands over her lips and her cheeks puffed out as she wanted to laugh. Her cheeks turned a rosy colour as it was getting harder and harder to keep in her laughter. Juvia glared at her with a blush that was the same colour as her younger sister's one, only she wasn't blushing for the same reasons.

"I-it's not funny!"

"I also have another surprise for the both of you. Should be arriving later on today. "Both the girls looked up at him and he just smirked at them both, showing that there was no force on this earth that was going to make him tell them what this surprise actually was. Wendy shrugged and held Carla in her hands and Juvia smiled gently at Gajeel. Who knew he had the ability to do something nice for the both of them.

"Juvia thanks Gajeel-kun so much that she can't even believe that he would even do this for Juvia!" She threw her arms around his neck and tip toed before placing a small peck on his lips. Her sapphire eyes were sparkling into his and he couldn't help but gulp at how cute she looked. He couldn't help it, he was a sucker for bluenettes, and he was extremely weak when it came to Juvia.

"It's aiight water girl." He patted her head and she just grinned at him, releasing him. "Anyway, you better go and catch up with your sister, I'll be with Rogue." He grinned at her before leaving her alone and she smiled at his back before running off to go and see her sister.

She fell into the room and Wendy looked up from her suitcase. She grinned at her older sister before going to run into her arms. Juvia finally shed the tears that she had wanted to as she pulled her sister in closer to her. "Juvia is so happy that Wendy-chan is here. Juvia is so happy..."

"I love you Juvia-nee-chan. I've missed you. How is it over here? I saw the way you and Gajeel were looking at each other. It might have only been a short amount of time, but the both of you love each other, don't you?"

Juvia sighed dreamily as she nodded her head, thinking about her fiancé. "Yes, Juvia really does. Juvia knows that he's rude and very blunt and outright vulgar with his language, but there's something that draws Juvia to him. That and the fact that Juvia used to have a kiddy crush on him back when Juvia used to live here."

Wendy raised an eyebrow as Carla lay herself between the two sisters when the sat on the bed. They both stroked her white fur. "So please explain to me how you managed to forget the guy that you used to have a kiddy crush on because that doesn't sound very nice."

She laughed when her face got hit with a pillow and juvia scowled at her playfully. "Juvia doesn't know! Anyway, how is Gray?" Juvia's voice went into hush mode as she looked at her sister expectantly. She couldn't forget Gray, the guy that she had been crushing on until very recently. He never noticed her and she was not going to be his sloppy seconds just because Lucy was now married to Prince Natsu. That made Juvia chuckle internally as she thought about it. Now she was getting married to Prince Gajeel.

"Gray's doing well, still the same guy. Cold as ever that is. Lyon calls him an idiot every day because he let you go."

Juvia remembered Lyon. The only guy to ever have a crush on her. She was grateful for that seeing as he was probably the only guy who never fell in love with Lucy, but she told him straight up that she liked his brother, not him and she couldn't string him on. Either way, he was like seven years older than her.

"He got married to Kagura last week actually. They had been dating for AGES but no one knew! Less to say that Ur is happy that she's going to be getting grandchildren soon enough."

Juvia laughed. Ur was always on her children's case to hurry up and get married and give her grand kids. The woman wasn't actually that old, but she had had her children at a young age.

Then Juvia stopped laughing when she thought about one thing. Wendy had noticed and stopped smiling as well. "Mother is doing well from what I've seen. She doesn't regret or feel bad about you leaving. I'm sorry."

Juvia laughed a little bit and shook her head. "It's okay, Juvia wasn't expecting for mother to miss Juvia anyway and Juvia can no longer find it in her heart to care about mother as well." Wendy hugged her big sister. Juvia was probably a better mother than their mother had ever been.

"Anyway, Juvia has been having a lot of fun here. Gajeel-kun is just perfect and Juvia practically loves him with all her heart. Juvia is glad that we found each other again. Juvia doesn't even care if she was mistreated."

She gave her sister a hug as she stroked Carla with her free hand. Wendy smiled as she saw that her older sister was extremely happy for once. Back home, it was as though Juvia had been straining to smile, as though it pained her to do such a thing, but now, the smile was real and authentic. She loved seeing her this way and also with no bruises on any part of her body.

"I'm glad you're okay and liking it here."

Juvia smiled before standing up. "Juvia might as well give Wendy-chan a tour of where Juvia actually knows, huh?"

They both set off down the hallway in order to stroll in the majestic palace.

Dinner finally came and everyone sat at the table, with Wendy on Juvia's left and Gajeel on her right. Juvia's smile was bigger than ever as she had never been in such a situation before, surrounded by the people she loved. She always had dinner by herself in basement that she called a room. It was funny because Juvia came from a rich family, yet her mother made sure that she was a peasant in her own home.

She saw one of the servants come towards them and he bent down to Gajeel's ear to talk to him. Juvia didn't even think anything of it as she continued eating, talking to Wendy and Levy. It wasn't until Gajeel got up to follow the servant that she raised her eyebrows. "Where is Gajeel-kun going?" She wanted to make sure that everything was okay. "Juvia can help if you guys want."

The servant blushed when he realised that it was the Prince's fiance that was asking to help them with something. She was soon going to be a Princess and she wanted to help with something? He shot Gajeel a frantic look and he just calmed the man down.

"Nah, don't worry yourself too much about it. Remember when I said that I had one more present for you tonight? Well I wanted to bring it in myself. Just stay there and finish your dinner and look pretty okay?" Juvia scowled when he said that end part, but he laughed and kissed her lips gently, getting a strand of her hair and putting it behind her ear. She looked up at him when they parted and she smiled at him before he left.

Juvia then felt bad. Gajeel was doing all of these things for her and she hadn't gotten him anything. He had bought her her favourite cake when the bakers had ended up running out of it. He had already bought her a new wardrobe, even if it had been for whatever random woman he was going to make his finace. He got her sister to come down for a while and now he has another present? She had to quickly wipe the tears from her eyes. She can't believe that this is her life now!

"Guys, I would like to introduce my guest. Jellal Fernandes Lockser." Juvia and Wendy's head snapped up. Wendy hadn't really gotten to see her brother that much because he was was older than she was. The age gap was huge so by the time she could ever have a memory on anything, he had already moved out. Juvia was surprised, her brother had left their house and never contacted them once ever since their father died. Juvia had been so angry at the time. He had left her alone to try and defend herself against their mother, but in the end she didn't care about her. He was her older brother and she missed him.

Standing next to him was some red haired woman who looked only a couple of years older than herself and she found herself jumping at him. "Jellal-nii!" Wendy got up as well and joined in with the hug as Jellal hugged his younger sisters, breathing a sigh of relief as he shut his eyes and enjoyed the little family reunion.

"You don't know how happy I am to see you guys. Wendy, you might not remember me, but I remember you. You have certainly grown up over the past few years! I'm sorry I couldn't be there to be the big brother that you would have loads of memories on, but I'm here now and I can stay in touch." He removed his arms from Juvia and hugged Wendy by herself as she grinned at her brother shyly and hugged him tightly. Then Jellal looked over at Juvia, tears in his eyes.

"Juvia, I heard what mother did to you. I'm so sorry I wasn't there for you. I'm a terrible big brother. I know I can't change the past and that you must have been angry for me leaving you, but I have come to apologize. Father's death...it just caught me unaware and for a while, mother's words were getting to me and I wanted to blame you also. But I was older and I should have known better and to better myself, I ran away from home, not being able to cope the guilt that I was blaming you. I used father's inheritance to start a new life and that was when I met Erza here, my wife. Now I hear that my little sister is getting married herself and I wasn't there to try and scare off the guy or see if he's got the balls to still want you? I think I failed as a brother,. don't you?"

Juvia laughed at his last statement before hugging him once more. "Juvia thinks that Gajeel would have carried on dating Juvia no matter how hard Jellal-nii would try to scare him off." The said man smirked from behind Jellal. Juvia looked at him and mouthed a simple 'thank you' and he just nodded his head.

"I guess you're right. Oh well, I guess there's always Wendy's future boyfriend." The young teen blushed heavily when she heard her brother say that. Jellal released Juvia before holding his wife's hand. Juvia smiled at her and Erza smiled back. They both hugged.

"Erza."

"Juvia."

"It's nice to finally meet you guys in person! Jellal has been too stubborn to try and go back to see his family and wouldn't even do it for me, not matter how much he would claim he loves me and do anything for me." Erza turned to glare at him and he laughed nervously at his wife's antics before she turned to Juvia. "He honestly does feel guilty for what he's done, but either way, I'm glad I've been able to see you! Now, I hear there's going to be a wedding..."

Juvia grabbed her hand and Wendy's hand as she went to introduce Erza to Levy so that they could have their girl talk on one side of the table as Gajeel led Jellal to his brother for their own discussion. As soon as they sat down, Jellal hit Gajeel on his shoulder playfully. "So I see that your crush was actually serious. I can't believe you still got my sister even if we did move away like 15 years ago."

Jellal laughed as Rogue joined in while Gajeel growled and poured himself some wine. "Well sorry if I find it cool that me, above all people was able to get married to his childhood sweetheart. People could respect me more that way." Jellal and Rogue laughed even harder as Gajeel decided to ignore her and he looked over at Juvia who caught his eyes at the same time. He then looked back to the guys who were keeping him company and silenced them with,

"Besides, it's not a crush anymore when seeing her after 15 years makes me fall in love with her."

Well that's the end of that chapter! Was it long enough for you guys? I hope it was okay though!

I keep on forgetting what I've called Rogue in my past chapters, so I apologise for my inconsistency. That just goes to show how much of an amateur I am at writing lol. Shouldn't get that wrong in the future!

But please don'r forget to rate or hate, flames or floods! I love reviews and I love you all!
