Hello everyone! I am so very sorry for keeping you all waiting, I had some major lack of motivation for this story. I am currently more focused on another story I'm working on, but I did promise that I would finish this season this month, so look for regular updates! I thank all of you who reviewed during my hiatus, you guys really motivated me to finally finish this chapter! I promise you all that I will be updating again this week! Love you all and thanks to everyone who reviewed! :)
I walked out of the bathroom and threw my shirt on, "Stefan, we're late for school." "Let's be later." He remarked, and I replied, "It's school, you know that thing we keep forgetting about." I squealed as he wrapped his arms around me and started to kiss me. I tried to protest but he picked me up and said, "School, doesn't ring a bell."
"Stefan! Fine, five minutes, only five minutes." I told him, and he mocked me, "Five minutes!" I laughed a little and kissed him contently.
A few minutes later, Damon was drinking blood while looking over some papers. "Morning Damon." My double spoke, and he nodded in "my" direction. She walked away after buttoning her jacket, and Damon zoomed over and threw her to the wall, "What are you doing here? I told you to leave."
"What is your problem?" She mumbled as Damon put his hands around her neck. "Wearing her clothes? Like that's gonna work." "You think I'm Katherine? Why would you think that, Katherine's in the tomb. Isn't she?" "I" asked, and Stefan then came down, "What the hell is going on here?"
"I don't know, you tell me. Is Katherine in the tomb or not?" She questioned Stefan, and he hurried upstairs. I looked at myself in the mirror and suddenly found myself against the wall, "What are you doing?" "How could you do this?" He asked, and I was confused and started to say, "Stefan-" He then cut me off and snapped, "Stop it Katherine!"
I then heard my own voice answer, "Stop what?" Stefan released the hold he had on me and stared at my doppelgänger. I sagged a little bit from the loss of air, and Katherine taunted, "It's getting really easy being you. Your little boys didn't even know it was me, maybe you should get some new ones. C'mon, we can go out on the town, pretend we're sisters, and get all the boys we want."
I rolled my eyes and shook my head at her comment just as my phone rang. Elena's name popped on my screen and I answered it and told her everything. She told me she was on her way after I said Katherine was here, even though no one invited her.
My twin walked in, seething, and I asked the eldest vampire, "What are you doing here?" Katherine was about to answer, but Damon did it for her, "When we killed Elijah, it broke the compulsion and freed the bitch from the tomb." "What, how is that possible?" Stefan asked, and Katherine felt a feather, "He's an Original, they have all sorts of spells and special skills."
"We don't want you here, get her out of here." Elena spoke, and I raised my hand and said, "I kinda want her here." "You need me, Elena, you all do, especially you, Erin. You're the smart one for wanting me here." Katherine told, and Stefan retorted, "Like hell."
"We all want the same thing, Klaus dead. Yet here you all are running around like chickens with your heads cut off." The vampire quipped, and Elena sneered, "We don't need your help, and we don't want it." "Erin does, and that's why she's smarter than you. Do you know where Klaus is? When he's coming? What he looks like?" Katherine asked us all.
I had to admit, she had a point. We needed this information, and I needed her help. "If you know something, say it or get out." Damon reprimanded her, and Katherine sighed, "Fine, then I'll just go to the Grill and have some lunch, maybe Aunt Jenna's free for a bite."
We were quiet on the drive to school, and I was actually kind of glad to finally be there. Elena rode with Stefan and I in the car, and she was tense the whole way. "Why is she still here? I don't get it, she was freed." I said and grabbed my bag out of the car. "She wants what we want: Klaus dead. She probably sees this as her only chance." My boyfriend told me.
"Or she wants to lure Damon and you back into her web, I want her gone." Elena stated as Stefan put his arm around me. We all walked towards the school together, and Stefan responded, "Yeah so do I, but Erin's right, she stayed, we should at least try to figure out why."
"How? All she does is lie." Elena replied, and Stefan spoke, "Look, I hate it as much as you do, but she does make a point. We don't know anything about Klaus, she does." I sighed and admitted, "Yeah, but that doesn't mean I like the fact that she's shacking up with you."
Stefan turned towards me and hugged me as Elena sent me a sympathetic look. "Maybe we should stay at your place tonight." Stefan suggested, and I frowned, "I can't. Elena and I told Bonnie and Caroline that they could come over. Bonnie's freaked because she lost her powers and Caroline's having Matt drama again. It's kind of a girl's night."
Elena then chimed in and said sarcastically, "Maybe Katherine can join us." Stefan just smiled and kissed my head before we all walked inside the school.
"It was bad, you know. John planted all these seeds about Isobel and now Jenna knows I'm lying about something." Alaric told me, and I spoke, "John's gonna end up dead on the kitchen floor if he's not careful." "Yeah, easier said than done, I gave him back his ring." Alaric said, and I inwardly groaned at what he said next.
"Jenna keeps asking about Isobel. You know, 'Was she murdered? Why haven't they found the body?' I mean, how much longer can she stay in the dark?" "You think we should tell her the truth?" I asked him, and Alaric admitted, "I'm saying I can't be with her and not tell her. It's not fair to her, and it's not the kind of relationship I want."
I stood up and crossed my arms, "Not to mention that it's getting even more dangerous for her not to know. I just at least thought we could hold off until we dealt with Klaus. You know, and even then, how do we tell someone what we know? How does someone hear that?"
Alaric then apologized, "Look, I'm sorry about this, Erin. Ultimately, it's your decision to make, and whatever you decide to do, I'll respect it. I want to be honest with her, but until then, Jenna and I are done." I sighed, and felt the familiar pull at my heart. Another person was leaving me.
"Whatcha up to?" Katherine asked Damon, who was taking out the Gilbert journals I let him borrow. "None of your business." He retorted, and she smiled, "More pouting now. Are those the Gilbert journals?" With Damon's silence, she questioned, "How am I supposed to help you if you won't tell me what you're up to?"
"Can you tell me where a bunch of witches were massacred in this town a couple centuries ago?" Damon asked, and Katherine shrugged, "No." "Then you can't help me." He stated, and when Katherine went to reach for a journal, he slapped her hand. The two then started fighting and Damon towered over Katherine, "If it's any consolation, I'm glad you're not dead."
Damon then released her and she laughed as she got up, "Emily Bennett told me about the massacre, it was a big deal in witch folklore. When a witch dies violently, they release a mystical energy marking the place of their death with power."
"Elijah wanted to know the site of the massacre, and he was gonna have Erin help him find it." Damon informed her, and she asked, "What was he going to do when Erin ultimately found it?" "I don't know, what did papa witch and baby witch have to say?" Damon called to his brother.
Stefan looked on and asked, "Isn't she gone or dead yet?" "For the last time I'm here to help. Can we skip the secrets, huh?" Katherine responded, and Stefan gave in, "Elijah had no weapon to kill Klaus. But he believed that if a witch could channel enough power, they wouldn't need one."
"Like the power you get from a spot marked by a hundred dead witches?" Damon asked, and Stefan added, "We just need to find it."
"Chinese food or pizza?" Caroline asks us, and Elena hums before replying, "Like you need to ask." I placed a bowl of chips on the table and sat down next to Bonnie, but I noticed Caroline stare at her tablet. I took it out of her hands and spoke, "I'll get it."
My twin then questioned Bonnie and gave me the dip, "Do you think Jonas is being sincere?" I took a handful of potato chips and shoved them in my mouth as Bonnie sighed, "I don't know what to believe. I think he's at a loss, not sure who to trust."
I searched for chinese food places on the tablet and muttered in response, "Join the club." Caroline stopped brooding for a second and changed the subject, "Well, what are we going to do about this movie situation? What about The Notebook?"
Laughing, I asked her, "Caroline Forbes, how many times have you seen that movie? I'm pretty sure you and I have watched it over 20 times!" Caroline defended herself, and Elena and Bonnie looked on in amusement, "That is so not the point!" I was about to respond back, but Jenna came in the room.
Elena greeted her, and Jenna looked at us and asked, "What's going on?" Elena took a seat next to me after replying, "Girls night." I smiled a little at Jenna before asking, "How are you doing?"
My aunt then guessed, "You heard about my fight with Ric." I tried to defend my almost Uncle, and spoke, "He feels terrible." "Is this some kind of disguised attempt to cheer me up?" Aunt Jenna asked, and Elena shook her head and stuttered, "No, no, no. This is about us girls hanging out, and you know, we'll be here if you wanna talk or.."
My blonde friend then raised her hand and tried to lighten the mood by stating, "Because I am a winner when it comes to successful relationships." Jenna knew what she was talking about and asked, "You two?" Caroline replied, "You have no idea." My aunt was then in for girls night, and she rambled on from inside the fridge.
"It's just this whole Isobel thing, he's hiding something from me." Jenna huffed as she got a drink. Caroline then said meekly, "To play devil's advocate, maybe there's a great reason why he's not telling you. Maybe he's just trying to protect you." Poor Caroline, I really felt for her. I also knew that Elena was trying to get back together with Matt also. That would not end well.
"Well, that's not his call to make, I deserve to know the truth, everybody does." Jenna argued, and then Caroline defended, "Sometimes it's harder than that." Bonnie and I looked at each other, knowing that these two were walking on dangerous territory. "Not if it's someone you love it isn't."
It was silent for a moment, and I sipped from my glass of water. Caroline then exclaimed, "You know what we need? Dancing! There is a band at the Grille." We all stated that we were in, and then we left for the Grille.
I heard the music as we all entered the Grille, and Caroline and I immediately started to dance. Elena, Bonnie, and Jenna all looked at us in amusement as we bumped hips and shimmied. I could sense Jenna sour next to me, and she stated, "I'm gonna need a drink." She then left us, and at the same time Matt walked our way. "Matty blue blue!" I exclaimed, using the nickname I made for him when we were five. He smiled and shook his head at me, but when Caroline said hi, he soured and walked away.
"Things just got real awkward." Bonnie said, and I laughed a little bit at that. The hour of us then started talking about Matt and Caroline. Elena tensed at the conversation, but we ignored her jealously and my witchy friend told the blonde, "He said the ball's in your court." Caroline sighed before replying, "Yeah but I can't do anything about it.
"Why not? All you do is talk about how much you care about him!" Bonnie argued, and Caroline defended, "Yeah, but I'm still keeping so many secrets." I decided to put my two cents in and spoke, "Alaric's in the same boat as Jenna. Maybe that's our mistake; we're trying to protect the people we love by keeping them out of it, but in the end, we're hurting them anyway."
I then got an idea as the band finished their song, and I whispered it to Caroline. She nodded, took her jacket off and handed it to Elena before taking my hand and pulling me towards the stage with her. I stayed next to the stage while she climbed on it and spoke into the microphone, "Hey guys, so let's here it for the band!" Everyone clapped and cheered while I gave Care a thumbs up to encourage her.
"So, there's this guys, and he told me to tell him how I feel about him, like that's so easy. Just because I talk a lot doesn't mean I actually know what I'm talking about. Like now when I'm feeling loopy and I don't know how to express myself..." She rambled on, and I muttered under my breath for her to sing, and I knew she heard it when she exclaimed, "I can sing! Yes, I'm going to sing."
When I saw the band's lead singer start to protest, I jumped onto the stage and I ordered, "You are going to let her live out her rock star fantasies and be her back up." "What do I get out of it?" He asked back to me, and I told, "I can help you get any girl you want in this room." He reluctantly nodded and I smiled when he asked Caroline, "What will it be?"
She whispered something in the band member's ear and I hopped off the stage. I headed back to where Bonnie, Elena, and Jenna were all standing as Caroline started to sing. She was really good, and I looked over to Matt. He had on his poker face, but when he gazed over to me, I nodded, encouraging him to go up there. As the blonde sang, Matt walked onto the stage, but before she could say anything, he kissed her.
The whole Grille erupted in cheers, and Bonnie and I laughed.
No POV
Stefan arrived at the Martin's apartment, and he tore a pipe from the wall to bust the door down. He dropped the metal object when he saw Luka's charred corpse on the ground. Doctor Martin then stalked towards the door as he gave Stefan a brain aneurysm, "You killed him. He's dead, and I have no one. And now, you're about to find out exactly what that feels like."
The warlock added more pain, which made Stefan collapse to the ground, clutching his head. Doctor Martin stepped over Stefan's body and left him there. Stefan looked inside the apartment and noticed a picture of Erin in her old cheerleading uniform. He was going after Erin.
Erin walked into the bathroom at the Grille and stopped when she saw Caroline and Matt making out in front of her. She started to laugh at the awkward situation as Caroline apologized, "Sorry Erin." Erin smiled, glad that her friends were happy, and she met up with Bonnie and Elena who were heading that way. " I wouldn't. Caroline and Matt are..."
"In the bathroom?" Elena asked with a hint of disgust in her voice. Erin ignored the disdain and spoke, "If they're happy, I'm happy." Erin and Elena started to walk away, but Bonnie followed them and trailed on, "Speaking of happy, would it freak you two out if I started dating your brother?" Elena whipped her head towards the witch and questioned, "You're into our brother?"
Bonnie tried to defend herself, "I know it's weird, but he's been so good and strong and makes me happy. And I can't really tell what Erin's thinking right now, but I can see the slight disgust on Elena's face." Erin sighed before replying, "I'm thinking that my brother has had so much pain in his life, more than a hundred people's worth of pain. And he deserves to be with someone as amazing as you."
"Really?" Bonnie asked, and Erin nodded and smiled, "Really." A grin spread on Bonnie's face as she pulled Erin in for a hug. Bonnie could always count on Erin, for that she knew. It did hurt her that Elena didn't exactly approve of the relationship, but she just put it down to Elena being jealous that Bonnie had someone while Elena did not.
Erin's phone rang, ruining the moment, and she answered her boyfriend, "Hey, Stef. I'm at the Grille. I can't hear you, on second." Erin walked away from her sister and friend and listened to Stefan talk about Luka and Doctor Martin.
Bonnie then saw the warlock in question searching the Grille. The witch walked up to him and asked, "Doctor Martin, you okay?" "Where is she?" He retorted, and Bonnie grew confused, "I don't understand." He stepped towards her and explained, "My son, he's dead."
"Whatever you think you need to do, there's a better way." She pleaded with him, and he replied, "They killed Elijah, and they killed Luka. My only shot at getting my daughter back is if I have Erin." When Bonnie refused to tell him, Doctor Martin used his magic to start blowing things up. The power went out.
In the bathroom, Stefan and Erin bounded in once Matt left. "We have a problem." Erin stated, and Caroline questioned her favorite couple, "What's going on?" "Jonas is here and he's after Erin." Stefan explained, and Caroline said, "Oh my god."
"We have a plan, but we need to get Erin out of here." Stefan added, and Care replied, "Well, what can I do?"
Erin and Stefan made their way through the running crowd of people, and Erin called Doctor Martin's name, "I'm so sorry about Luka, we never wanted that to happen. But, at least let us help you get your daughter back." "Only Elijah can do that." The man argued, and Erin shook her head, "You don't need Elijah." The warlock then made the fire larger and Erin felt Stefan grab her.
Thankfully, Caroline then came to the rescue and tackled the warlock to the ground. Erin and Stefan then escaped thanks to Caroline's distraction.
Elena, Erin, and Damon waited for Katherine and Stefan to walk down the stairs, and Elena asked, "How did you convince her to do this?" "We didn't, it was actually her idea." Damon answered her, looking around the room. "That's not good." Elena stated, and Damon agreed with her. Erin stayed silent, just waiting for it all to be over so she could sleep.
Just then, Stefan and Katherine came down the steps, "Everything's taken care of." Katherine took off Erin's bracelet and spoke, "I'm guessing you're gonna want this back. Although, I loved this outfit, it's gonna need a good dry clean." Erin carefully took the bracelet from her, and said, "Thank you." Katherine nodded, and she hid a small smile. The vampire's smile dropped when Elena stated, "You're gonna have to get her out of here before Jenna gets home."
"Is that all you have to say to me? I save your twin sister's life and while she says thank you, you simply ignore me." Katherine snapped, and Elena sighed, "It doesn't change the way I feel about you." "I don't quite like you either if we're gonna be open, and frankly I would love to see you dead. But, because you're Erin's family and she cares about you, we're gonna need you alive, at least til we take on Klaus. So, I'm not a threat to either you or your sister. Unlike you, Erin and I actually have an understanding. If any of you are going to believe anything, believe that." Katherine told, causing Erin to look at Elena.
She glared daggers at the vampire, and Stefan and Damon both stared at the two.
When Jenna walked through the door, Erin was waiting for her. "Tonight was very weird." The strawberry blonde stated, and Erin sighed and agreed, "You have no idea." Elena walked into the kitchen with Erin, and the two spotted Jenna eating ice cream. "Are John and Jeremy asleep?" Jenna asked the twins, and Elena spoke, "I think so."
"If I go to bed right now, is there a chance I might wake up hangover free?" Jenna asked, and Erin took her spoon and eat some of her aunt's ice cream. Erin was about to reply, but she was interrupted by the doorbell. Jenna went to answer it, and Erin and Elena looked at each other. Something was wrong.
The twins went to investigate and stopped in their tracks when they saw who was at the door. The woman looked to Erin with a glimmer of hope in her eyes, "Isobel." Erin stated. This made Jenna move her gaze back and forth from the twins to Isobel.
