Blue Sentient Temple/No POV
"It's right in there."
Zoom looked closely at what Vert was referring to. Then he too saw it. "Yep. Defiantly in there." A Red Sentient walked by the door and the two flinched. Luckily it was Krylox and he just walked by with his double following close behind.
"Thanks guys for your help."
"No prob Vert." AJ said.
"Be careful in retrieving the amulet Vert." Sage warned. "It itself may not be dangerous but I have no doubt in my mind that there is not a trap to prevent anyone from getting it."
"I'll keep that in mind. Thanks Sage." The connection broke off and like perfect timing the rest of the Battle Force 5 approached them slowly.
"Care to clue us in?" Sherman asked. Zoom quickly explained what they had just found out.
"Great." Stanford said sarcastically. "So we have to fight the Reds while worrying about opening a two ton stone door, getting the amulet, and getting the heck out of here before the temple collapses."
"Sage didn't say the temple would collapse." Zoom said.
Stanford shrugged. "I bet money that it will collapse."
"I'm running a scan on the door and it weighs closer to one ton than two and it isn't that wide. I propose that if we brought out the GearSlammer and combine it with the Saber to make the RigSaw it will just cut through the stone."
"Yeah but then that would mean the four staying here would fight to prevent the Reds from finding out about the door while we rush back towards the Hub." Spinner stated.
"Can we make that risk?" Agura asked.
Vert thought about the plan. "We're going to have to because both the Buster and the Tangler can't move the door. Spinner, Sherman, switch out with AJ and make sure he brings the Binary Fusion Pod."
"Right!" The Cortez brothers yelled as the Buster turned around and rushed out quickly creating the roar of the tires to echo within the tunnel.
"That's our cue to fight guys." Stanford said. The BF5 zoomed out of the tunnel and rushed towards the RS5.
The Red Sentients were thrown off guard at the encroaching Battle Force F5 and quickly formed their vehicles. The two sides crashed with each other with angry growls from the Reds' side and sheer determination on the human side.
Back at the Hub AJ got a memo from the Buster before it jumped through the Storm Shock. "Whoo-hoo! I get to go out!" AJ jumped into his vehicle and waited with excitement for the Sentient Chip that would power the GearSlammer.
Tezz rolled his eyes at AJ's excitement. Sage confronted AJ while he sat in his vehicle while she placed the Binary Fusion Pod on top of the GearSlammer. "Do not be too excited that it will distract you from your duties."
"I understand that." AJ said in all seriousness. "I'm just glad I'm not on the sidelines any longer, even if it is to drill into stone."
At that moment the Buster screeched to a stop and the Cortez brothers jumped out just as the Sentient Chip was pulled out by Sage's telepathy. The Chip was placed into the GearSlammer and the vehicle roared to life. "AJ," Sherman called, "hurry and get to the temple and immediately activate the Pod. We've got no time to lose."
"Alright!" He gave the others a thumbs up. "I'm on my way." The pad below the GearSlammer spun slowly and once it stopped the vehicle rushed forward towards the Storm Shock.
"Boy, I hope the others are all right." Spinner said as they took up positions in the Hub.
Back at the temple the battle continued on. BF5 took the insults and calls from the RS5 as they mocked that only four out of the five were there. Agura wondered how much longer they had to wait for the GearSlammer. They were getting their butts handed to them more than they were delivering a butt whooping for them. "I don't think we can take this much longer!" She yelled as Kyburi's Venikus slammed into her.
"Just give it a little longer." Vert said as he chased after Kryten. He eyed the door that has continued to remain unseen by Krytus and the other Red Sentients. And let's leave it like that. Vert thought.
The GearSlammer dipped and rode over the small mounds. Driving in this terrain proved difficult, especially at high speeds but all he could think of was that this would be a perfect extreme sport terrain with motorcycles. He shook that out of his head. "Focus AJ." He told himself. "The others need ya." The temple came into view and he pushed the pedal down closer to the floor. He hoped he wasn't too late. From what they had found out from the texts if the Reds got their hand on it the whole Multiverse would be doomed. He breathed out deeply as the GearSlammer raced through the destroyed Sark vehicles. He looked at the destruction for slight moments before he focused on the temple entrance. The moment his tires hit the smooth temple floors he floored the pedal and rushed quicker into the temple. Then he flew into the hall and slammed the brake. He activated the Pod and called for Vert. Vert thanked god at the timing and both vehicles drove into the storms.
"Unite…"
"And Strike!" Out came the RigSaw.
"Alright guys." Vert said. "Leave the Reds off our back while we drill through." BF5 broke into their positions and the RigSaw hit the door with a great force.
"Activating drill." AJ said as he keyed the drill. The drill whirred and started to drill through the door. The BF5 surrounded the RigSaw protectively. Every time an enemy got close or even relatively close Stanford would send a sound wave towards them. Agura would block off or ram into any vehicle that got close. Zoom had gotten himself airborne and was flying around and jumping off any of the Reds vehicles, mainly Kryten. He eventually slammed into Kryten's vehicle hard enough to send the life essence of Kryten drifting off towards his Spawn Chamber. The drill was just about to break surface when the combined vehicles started to flash. "Man not now!" AJ yelled in frustration. In a last minute attempt he raised the energy output of the drill and pushed the RigSaw further. The drill whirred louder and started to smoke in effect.
Worried about the integrity of the RigSaw Vert yelled. "AJ, cool it!"
"Not until I break through!" AJ yelled back. The RigSaw flashed faster and with a stroke of sheer luck the RigSaw broke through just as the two vehicles spit apart.
As the two regained their composure Zoom flew into the chamber and stopped. "Woah." The chamber was small, only big enough to hold the lone tomb in the center of the room. Infinite light sources took the corners. "Guys, focus on the Red Sentients, I got this." Without waiting for a response he got off the Chopper and walked towards the tomb. The cover showed the protector, female, holding a sword the blade going down. It reminded him of a knight's tomb. He sighed and pushed on the lid with no avail. He then went back to his Chopper and attached the cable to the edge of the lid. He went back and pulled the throttle on the Chopper. The tires screeched as the Chopper didn't move. The cable shook and Zoom worried about the claw at the end coming off the edge. Just as he thought that it will come off the Chopper inched forward and the lid slowly dragged partially open. Zoom stopped just then seeing that he didn't need the whole lid open. He got off and ran towards the tomb. Looking inside he was surprised to see nothing. He half sighed half groaned. He looked down into the tomb and still didn't see anything. "What the hell man?" He said in frustration. Just then he noticed a compartment in the inside wall. He fingered it and then pushed the compartment open. There he saw the amulet at the end of an ancient chain. He pulled it out cautiously and looked at the pentagon at the end of the chain. He exhaled and then gasped as the ground below his shook. "Crap!" He yelled. He took the claw off the end and Jumped onto the Chopper. Quickly he pressed the cable recall button and as the cable winded itself up pulled the throttle and the Chopper rushed out. As he left the smaller chamber he told the others to get out. The whole temple shook as the vehicles on both sides rushed out.
Krytus pushed past and tried to reach the Chopper which was directly in front. "Give it to me!" Krytus yelled.
"In your dreams Krytus!" Zoom yelled back. The GearSlammer slammed into Krytus' Syfurious. It was a race to leave the temple. As the last of BF5 left (Stanford and the Reverb), the temple entrance collapsed on itself trapping the RS5. Krytus hit the wheel of his vehicle with his fist in frustration.
Kyrosys pulled up beside Krytus. "Um, sir?"
"What?"
"The ceiling." Just as Kyrosys said that the ceiling caved in and fell upon the remaining RS5 and the Reds life essences moved through the whole in the roof towards their Spawn Chambers.
As the Battle Force 5 drove away from the temple with a well won victory Stanford looked back and smiled to himself. "Told ya the temple would collapse."
The BF5 laughed at Stanford's premonition. Vert looked at the group. "All right gang, let's get this to Sage." The vehicles rumbled towards the Storm Shock.
Moments later the others returned to the Hub, Zoom showed Sage the amulet. After looking at she looked at the humans. "We need to make some sort of vault for it so it can remain safe. No one is to ever take it out or use it. Not even me."
The others nodded and Tezz saw this as an opportunity to busy himself. "I will make the vault. Just give me some time and I will have it made."
"Thank you Tezz."
Tezz nodded and watched as Sage placed the amulet around in her neck in the mean time. He walked of before the others could say anything. He was ready to put himself into a project, anything that would get his mind of the Talents, especially the one in particular.
Camellia's Garage/No POV
Camellia cursed loudly and threw the wrench down on the floor. "Maldita Sea (1)." She cursed again in Spanish.
"What's wrong?" Tyler called from her desk. He looked up at her. She was clad in her work clothes. Blue stained jeans from oil and whatnot, black tank top and her long, wavy hair tied up in one long braid.
"This damned Enforcer engine. I'm going to kill it."
"You can't kill an inanimate object."
"You know what I mean." She groaned loudly and stared at the blueprints of the engine. "It always seems so right on paper."
Tyler stood and walked over to his boss. He leaned on the table where she was working on the engine. "What's wrong?" He repeated.
She sighed. "It's everything. Trying to make the HSE's engine into a smaller motorcycle engine is difficult." She bent and picked up the wrench. She glared at the engine. "The god damned piece of shit."
"Woah, woah." Tyler held his hands up and pushed himself off the table. "Don't go all pissed off Puerto Rican on me now."
She blinked and looked at him. "Pissed of Puerto Rican?"
"Yeah. You know." He pressed on as he let his hands drop to his sides. After not receiving a reply he continued. "You know, you curse in Spanish while you pace angrily, throwing your arms all over the place and then you repeat the curses in English sometimes." She raised a brown brow. "It goes something like this." He cleared his throat and stepped away from the table. He started to suddenly talk really fast, Spanish-imitating, gibberish as he paced angrily and as he flung his arms widely above him. Camellia even took a step back. As suddenly as it started he stopped and looked at her, face smug. "Or something like that."
She blinked and smiled faintly. "Or really?"
"Yes really."
"So if I become pissed off Puerto Rican you become the pissed off Irish?"
"Pissed off Irish?" He questioned.
"Oh you know… You attack the person with curses and you knock down crap." He gave her a questioning gaze. She stepped away from the table. "You know…" She started to suddenly fling a finger at Tyler as she yelled at him with her imitation Irish accent. "You see here! You are a bastard and your mother is a whore! Ne'er once have I ev'er seen someone such a big a leathcheann (2) as you! What are ya? A sucker coileach Dia diabhal (3)?" She cleared her throat and backed away from Tyler. "You know… Something like that."
Tyler blinked. Then suddenly the two burst out into laughter and they moved forward to hug each other. The hug was quick as they broke apart and continued laughing. "My pissed off Puerto Rican."
"My not currently pissed off Irish." They continued to laugh until it eventually faded away. "Well back to the engine."
"Back to organizing your crap." The two went off to their tasks and within the next ten minutes…
"Maldita sea! This fucking engine!"
