Weeks later, Camellia & Tyler/No POV
She smiled as she looked at the nearly completed house. "I got to hand it to you Mr. Nelson, you and your boys finished the house before what I had in mind. Kudos on you."
"Why thank you Miss Talent." The contractor said. He wore his jeans with utility belt and plain white t-shirt. In Camellia's mind he sort of looked like Hank Hill from the show King of the Hill. "All we need to do is wait for the furniture truck to get here from Albuquerque, put it in and then it's ready to move in."
"And have a seriously jaw-dropping, kick-ass, mother f-er house warming party that would blow the roof of this place." Tyler remarked excitedly. He snickered and started rubbing together his hands while he planned almost maliciously about the party.
The girl sighed. "I might have to call someone afterwards to fix the house."
Nelson chuckled as they started to walk away from Tyler. "Keep an eye on him."
"Oh you know I will." She led him to the HSE and opened the door to get her checkbook. "So I guess the faster work equals more money worked?"
"Huh?" Nelson had a confused face when suddenly it clicked. The man smiled. "To tell you the truth I forgot about that. But really what I think lead the guys to work faster was the fact that they were building a house for Camellia Talent." Camellia raised a brow and tilted her head in agreement. She finished writing out the check and handed it to Mr. Nelson. "Thank you Miss Talent." He folded the check in half and put it in his back pocket. "Now let's hope we don't lose it." Camellia nodded curtly and put the checkbook back in the car. She locked the HSE and closed the door. "So, your parents probably kicked you for the cost of the house."
"No. Our house back in California is worth five million. They were expecting me to spend two point five million instead of a little under one point five in all the expenses. Mainly because they knew I have Tyler, Mr. Party Animal over there, with me."
"Pretty impressive. What's also impressive is the company. In five years it rose from making chips and disks for other companies to buying out those same companies it sold stuff to."
Camellia grinned. She loved hearing about the company's success. Gives her pride in that matter. "Yeah. Pretty great."
At that moment the truck rolled up. "Well, time to move furniture."
"I'll help. I'll get Tyler to help too." The two started to walk back towards the house.
"You don't need to do that Miss Talent."
"Oh no, I insist. Besides, I just want to move in now."
The Hub/No POV
Vert's cell phone rang. He stopped his work on the Saber to pick it up. "Hello?"
"Oh my god Vert!" Tyler yelled through the phone.
Vert pulled the phone away and then put it back to his ear. "What is it?"
"Get your buddies and put this on speaker! Amazing news!"
Vert sighed and reluctantly did what Tyler said. Once everyone was in the central Hub he put the phone on speaker. "Alright Tyler. You're on. What's the news?"
There was silence. More silence. Vert was about to speak again when Tyler screamed. "The house is almost done! The furniture truck's here and we're unloading! By the end of the day we'd be moving in and in the next few days there's going to be a party so big!"
Stanford ran up to the phone. "Are you in need of a DJ Tyler?"
"Yeah! You want to DJ for the party?"
"Yeah I do!" Stanford excitedly said.
"Yeah! And we need some lights to put up in the backyard."
"We'll help." Sherman and Spinner said.
"Thanks guys! Oh, make sure to bring some bathing suits or something like that, 'cause we have a pool!"
"That's pretty cool Tyler." Agura said. "Perfect to cool off."
"It would be a daylong party guys. I'm also inviting Grace and even maybe Zeke-man."
"That'd be great." Zoom called out. "That way I can hang out with Grace while I party."
"Exactly the point man."
"Just tell us the date when you can." Vert said. "We'll see if we can go."
"Great. See you guys later. Got to move a sofa now. Peace!" Another excited yell before the phone was disconnected.
"Are we really going?" Spinner asked Vert.
"We'll have to see. It all depends on if there's any activity that day."
"Let's just hope there isn't. We have all need a break." Stanford said.
Tezz sighed. "I think I'll go help them move furniture."
"Say what?" AJ asked as he watches Tezz move to the Splitwire. "You? Helping? With furniture?"
Tezz half shrugged and got into the Splitwire. Before he closed the door he said, "It's what friends do."
Talent House/No POV
Camellia half carried half dragged a table into the dining area. "Tyler we also need to go grocery shopping. We'll need to make a trip sometime today or tomorrow to Albuquerque to go get food, sheets, toilet paper, and the works."
"I know Cam. I'm not stupid. I was already thinking of that."
"For the party."
"Of course for the party! Soda, chips, hot dogs, all the works."
The girl groaned while Tyler went out to the truck once more. She placed the table on the wall and watched as one of the guys smiled at her and placed a lamp on it. She groaned once more and turned to walk out of the house. "Miss Talent!" What now? She turned and saw Mr. Nelson. "I was wondering if there is anything else you would like added to the house before we all leave."
"No. Its fine I'm sure." She turned and walked towards the front door with Nelson following.
"I should just say that the furniture is going in smoothly. So far no problems and I hope there isn't any." He chuckled at what appears to be a hidden inside joke. "I say that we should have the house completely finished in about an hour to a half to two hours. You still remain the essential point to get the work done."
"Great." She said sarcastically. Like she appreciated the looks and the smiles and the overly friendly gestures. Yeah, as hell no. she would rather stare straight into the eyes of a raging bull. They stepped outside and she automatically saw him standing next to Tyler. The alluring, Russian-accent, tall, dark—"Hey Tezz." She called out to him, a smile on her face. "What are you doing here?"
"Tyler called to tell us about the house. I came to help you move the furniture."
"Ah, that's nice of you." He nodded once and her inside melted. "So, uh, the truck's right there, pick something and move out. Or move in… Or… Uh… You know what I mean." She turned and walked away towards the house when she realized she needed another piece of furniture to move into the house. She turned and while blushing madly walked passed them.
The two boys watched as she jumped into the back of the truck. Tyler grinned and looked at Tezz. "Geez, wow man."
"What?" Tezz asked as he looked at Tyler.
"Never once, like never, not even with her last dead beat boyfriend she was so in love with, never once have I seen her act like that. You, my good sir, are amháin bastard ádh (1)." With that Tyler turned and walked towards the truck. Tezz stared after him before following him. They passed Camellia on the way who totally ignored him and continued on her merrily blushing way.
They moved furniture for the time Nelson had said, about 100 minutes of moving furniture and Camellia changing her mind over and over again at where the furniture should be placed. Finally after shaking all of the worker's hands, offering them all a smile and a thank you and bidding Mr. Nelson goodbye the house was finally theirs and completed, but the scent of man sweat still lingered in the air. Camellia sighed while Tyler rampaged through the house, planning out the decorations for the house for the party he has been anticipating. Tezz walked up to Camellia just when she sat down on the beige sofa in her brand new maroon colored family room. He sat down beside her and they sat in silence, the only thing being heard was the sounds of Tyler's whoops and foot falls as he trampled through the two story house. "It is a nice house."
"Yeah. Nelson and his men did a good job."
"… You excited about the party Tyler is going to have?"
"Not really. I'm just worried about the house really. The last party he threw his parent's house almost burnt to the ground because he left the food on the stove too long."
Tezz nodded and smiled faintly. "Sounds like something AJ or Spinner would do."
She giggled. "I was thinking that actually." She chuckled some more. "Oh god, they're coming over for the party too!" She covered her face with a hand. "God, the house is a goner."
Tezz and Camellia laughed together. It slipped off into silence. "So…" Tezz started out. "Tyler told me of an old boyfriend?" Her facial expression fell and she stared at the ground. "You don't have to tell me if you don't feel comfortable. No one is making you."
"He was a bad boy, a few years older than me. Cool motorcycle, slick hair, been in juvenile detention three times and jail once. He started to date me and he said he would change. We dated for one whole year and he never did anything wrong in my presence. I thought that he really did change for me, that he was in love with me and I loved him. One day, Amy and I went out to eat at Applebee's, just hang out you know—then I was matchmaking her with Tyler—and who do we see? Jerk-off French kissing a whore off the street drinking beers and getting drunk. He started a riot and I went over there to tell him to stop and that we were through. Well he wasn't through. He only dated me to get the cool tech my family makes. Using me to get his meal ticket for him and his fiancé." She chuckled sadistically. "What a fool I was. Got my heart broken by a downright bastard with herpes up to here." Her hand went up to her head. Her hand dropped and landed in her waist. "If I wasn't feminist then I sure as hell now." She shook her head sadly. "My whole life's been shitty. Since birth." She added.
Tezz closed his eyes and wanted to punch the crap out of her ex, for using her and breaking her heart like that. He opened his eyes and cautiously wrapped his arms around her shoulders and brought her closer to him. She went willingly and sighed when her head rested upon his shoulder. "Don't worry about that Camellia. Your life is going great now. All those who ever once thought about doing anything to you, will regret that when you get to the very top because instead of focusing on themselves and working to get better, you'd already be there."
She smiled and rubbed her check on his strong shoulder. "Thank you Tezz, for saying that."
"You are welcome."
"Hey guys! Check out the pool!" Tyler charged into the room and the two jumped apart. Tyler looked at the two for a moment before shrugging it off. "Come on guys! This is awesome!" Camellia sighed and looked at Tezz, who too looked at her. They both rose and followed Tyler to the pool.
The Hub/No POV
Zoom called Grace to tell her about the party. "Oh we don't know when exactly it is, but Tyler says that he's inviting you and Zeke."
"Zeke? Is he sure about that?"
"I have no idea." Zoom chuckled. "But even though he's inviting you, wanna go with me?"
"Sure. Of course."
Zoom chuckled. "That's great. We'll just have to keep in touch and yeah…" Grace giggled on the receiving end.
Stanford was working on getting his CD's and records and collecting his DJ-ing equipment. "This is going to be an amazing party because I will be supplying the tunes."
Agura rolled her eyes but smiled at the British. "You're so full of yourself."
"Oh and you aren't? I see how it is."
"I'm not full of myself."
"Course you aren't." Stanford smiled at her.
Sherman and Spinner were working on two things at once, lights and new tech for the Battle Force 5; they took turns in operating each. "We'll have to have it be connected to the music, it'd be so cool." Spinner exclaimed.
"Let me see if I can upgrade the communicators. I will need Sage's help." Sherman thought to himself.
Spinner looked over to his brother. "I'll ask Sage about that, you see if you can figure out how to have this work with the music."
Sherman nodded. "Will do. Make sure that to fix the Buster's targeting system too. It was a little out last time."
"Gothca."
AJ was busy watching extreme sports on TV while getting ideas for epic cannonballs. "Snowboarding off the roof and into the pool… Awesome."
Vert watched as all of his friends went over party stuff more and more and less about BF5 stuff. Eventually it was all about the party. He sighed and continued to watch. Even if he said anything they'd just go back to it eventually. He went back to working on the Saber and upgrading it. Sage came up to him and handed him a chip. "What's this?"
"Sherman and Spinner where working on the communicators, they needed to be upgraded as well. So I worked on this." She motioned towards the chip. "Put it into the car and download the new communications. It should sound clearer and have less of a gray space."
"Thanks Sage. I'll pass it on to the others when I'm done."
Sage nodded. "And I will go back to monitoring the Multiverse." She floated back towards the center where she started to scan whole of the Multiverse. Vert still couldn't believe (AN: spoiler from episode 41: The Shadow Zone) that all the minds of the Blue Sentient race were inside her mind. All along it was right there. Now it was just to relocate the shells and tell her the truth for the race to come back. Hell, he and Zoom still haven't told the others the truth yet either. What he could believe though that when the time comes to go back to the shells, there will be a big battle and it will become the turning point of the whole war. If they were to lose, all would be lost.
Talent House/No POV
"Aw… Do you have to go? Really?" Tyler complained.
Tezz eyed Tyler. "Yes, I have a lot of work to do back at the garage. I only came to help you unload the furniture."
"Thanks again by the way." Camellia put in.
"But come on, hardly anyone comes through here! I'm bored."
Camellia shook her head. "One, sooner or later more people will come in for TTM, two, we need to go shopping, three, and you have work to do for me and I still have to finish that engine. My parents put a deadline one me! A goddamned deadline!"
"Fine, fine. Sheesh. Chill pill? I think I have one."
She groaned and turned towards Tezz. "We'll walk you out." The three walked through the house and to the front and Camellia locked the house for the first time. She sighed blissfully at the feeling and looked at Tyler. "You made sure everything was locked."
In the middle of nowhere, chances of invasion? Slim to none. None-the-less he had locked everything. Better safe than sorry. "Yeppers. Locked down to every window."
"Good." She turned back to Tezz and they started walking again. "Thanks for coming out again."
"It was a pleasure."
"And I guess we'll see you at the party."
"Yes you will." They stopped and looked at each other. "Well, Vert is bound to be reaching for the phone now. I will see you two later."
"Bye Tezz." Tyler waved before going towards his Mazda. "Cam, make sure to lock up the HSE in the garage before we leave."
"Okay!" She yelled back. "Bye Tezz." They quickly exchanged a nearly awkward hug before going their separate ways. She parked the HSE in the garage while Tezz drove off. Once that was done she went back towards Tyler and sat in the passenger seat. "Think this car can hold all the groceries?" She clicked her seatbelt together.
"Oh yeah." He said. With a smile he added, "Think this car can hold all the gossip between you and Tezz?" She punched him in the arm while a blush crept up and he chuckled as he put the car into drive.
Yay, house is completed, house party coming up, more shit filled lives, plus impending doom? Wow. I think this deserves a review, how 'bout you give me one?
