Sorry for the extremely long wait. I got disinterested in BF5 and I also fell into this deep hiatus with this story. Sad part is since it's been so long that I don't truly remember where I wanted to go with this story so I'm just gonna go ahead and end as quickly as I can, sorry about that. But hey, at least I'm going to finish it. So anyways, just stick with me as I get back into writing these characters and just hope I don't severely crap up the ending.
Camellia's Garage/Tezz
Here I am again, at Talent Tech after another major battle with the Red Sentients. Every day I feel as if we are getting closer to that final victory that will hopefully bring us peace and quiet. It has been almost six months since Camellia came to the middle of nowhere along with her family's company and Tyler. Today just so happened to be Tyler's birthday. The gang and I had already celebrated his birthday the weekend before since we all knew we were going to be extremely busy today, what with Camellia's interview, Tyler assisting her, a tune up at the garage as well as vehicle modifications and of course that battle we had so early in the morning. It wasn't even five o'clock in the morning when Sage rung the alarm to go into battle. Everyone else had gone back to HQ but I stayed back, at Camellia's request, to help unveil a secret birthday surprise to Tyler.
Tyler came into the garage some moments later, still dressed in business attire, as was Camellia in a black cocktail dress. I was out of place here in regular jeans and a t-shirt but I especially had gotten so close with these two I doubt that anyone here really minds at all. Tyler looked up from the Revolution, his mind clearly on work. "So what is it Miss Talent? Is there something you needed?"
"Yes Tyler." Camellia said dropping the formality that Tyler had opened with. "I want you to uncover that." She pointed to a large mass over in the corner closest to the passage way that led up to the surface.
Tyler's face fell. Obviously when he was called down here from some very important work, as all work in Talent Tech is important; he was expecting something more… Complex. "That's all?"
"Yep." Camellia simply replied, trying to hold back a smile. I had no problem of the sorts. As Tyler once told me I can be very emotionless.
Tyler sighed, aggravated to the touch. "Fine then Cam. But next time when you call me down here it better be important." I found myself smiling genuinely. He sounded much like Camellia at that moment. He moved over to the mass, every step heavy with agitation. "Look, see. I'm uncovering this—"He pulled the cover off in one fluid motion and when he turned his head to look at the mass his eyes widened and his jaw dropped. "This HSE with flames painted on the side?"
"And your name." Camellia added. "On the sides and on the hood."
"What?" Tyler sounded as he circled the car, bubbling with excitement. "And this is for me?"
"All for you buddy." She confirmed. "Happy birthday."
"Oh thank you Cam! It's—"
"But wait Tyler." I said, taking the honor away from Camellia, but I—dare I say it?—couldn't contain my own excitement. "Open up the car."
"Don't tell me…" Tyler began. "Leather seats with my name right? Ah man!"
"It's something better Ty." Camellia took charge again as Tyler opened the driver's seat door. The moment the door rose he stepped back and almost dropped the Revolution in his hands.
"Amy!"
"Tyler!" A girl with short, red hair came out from the vehicle, DJ headphones around her neck and she wearing a simple t-shirt and jeans combo and –once again dare I say it?—I felt comfortable knowing that I wasn't the only one here underdressed.
The two embraced fondly, seeing as they haven't seen each other in months. "God, Amy I miss you so much!"
"Oh Ty! I missed you too!" A sloppy kiss is what proceeded and beside me I heard Camellia chuckle softly as well as mutter a soft 'Oh boy…' "Well come on Tyler!" Amy said once the two broke apart. "Take me out for a test drive of your HSE!" Tyler looked over to Camellia, with big pleading eyes and his lips puckered into a begging position. The blonde haired girl beside me only nodded.
"Who-hoo!" Tyler screamed. The two rushed into the HSE and within moments the tricked out HSE was rolling up the passage way and then out of sight.
"I'm glad that that's over with." Camellia said with a laugh as she turned and walked over to the finished Enforcer prototype. "And I'm glad that this thing will go into mass-production tomorrow. It's about freaking time."
"At least you know that it will be a great success." I said as I joined her at her side and stared at the motorcycle before us. "The HSE is doing so well on the market." It has been a few weeks since it officially became on the market for all and Camellia was worried that the price may have been too high for the car, but in fact, since people knew so much about them and had so much time to save up the money, TTM is having a hard time keeping up with the demand.
"Yep. And now, people will be waiting for the Enforcer to come out." She said almost dreamily. And I don't doubt it. These two projects have been on her head for well over a year or more. To finally see them done and doing so well before the general public, it must be a dream come true. "I'm just so happy Tezz." She continued in a haze, as if she was zoning out, something she started to do more since she was practically finished with the work her parents had entrusted her. "Now I can relax, take a vacation, through another party at the house…"
She just stopped so suddenly that I knew there was something bothering her. "But…?" She didn't reply back to me. She just looked down to the floor and a light, but noticeable blush came across her fair features. I decided then that I, Russian genius extraordinaire, was for once not going to wait until I got the full results and possible conclusions, and was in fact going to act out rashly, like perhaps Spinner or AJ and just go for it. "Camellia…" I called her name softly, taking her hand in mine which caused her to look down at our joined hands and then look up at my face. I didn't say another word; quite frankly I couldn't say another word. Looking into those eyes all capability to speak just ceased and I just let my heart guide me forward.
We were leaning in together, eyes closing at the same time, yet we both left our eyes slightly opened as our breaths mixed in with the other. I heard my heart pounding in my ears and I felt her hand tighten around mine. This was it. This was going to be that moment that I have been—this time I dare to say it—dreaming about since I first had the wondrous opportunity to meet such a strong, courageous, smart, beautiful young woman like Camellia before me. She is my dream girl. A girl I've was imagining would be waiting for me when I returned back to Earth when I was trapped on that planet (that was if I ever got off that damned planet, which I did). Our eyes closed completely and together we took a breath, both readying ourselves for that moment where our lips would touch just ever so—
My phone buzzed violently in my pocket. A text message. I wanted to ignore it but the moment was already gone. Camellia moved away first and took her hand from mine. My heart actually broke. What message could be so important that it ruins this moment? I smile apologetically at her. Her face is static, flat but yet her eyes spoke her extreme sadness. I look at who the message is from. Vert. I want to punch him in the face so badly right now. Before I could open the message I get another one from Agura, then another from Zoom, and finally another from Sage.
Well… Shit. This isn't good. I open the text message in order from when I got them, all read the same thing: "Red Sentients, coming to Earth. Must go and intersect them."
I sigh and feel myself splitting in two. I go to speak but Camellia beats me to it. "Just go." Her voice is thick, as if she is angry. Is she angry at me? At my phone? At both? I just didn't understand, and I was not afraid to admit that.
"Camellia… What's—"
"Just go!" She yelled her voice shaking. "It's obvious they need you so just… Just go."
"Cam…"
"Just go…" She repeated again, turning away from me and heading towards her own HSE in the back. "Just go."
I breathed out deeply, shaken with grief. I have to go protect the Earth but if I leave, everything I have with her will be damaged, ruined, or worse yet gone. I get another text, and this time I have no choice. I turn and run towards the elevator. When I entered the elevator I refused to turn back so I hit the button to go up standing sideways. I knew that if I turned around I would see her crying and once that were to happen, I would have never been able to leave. The doors close and with it all my chances with Camellia Talent.
Headquarters/No POV
It was a trap. Battle Force 5 was now surrounded by Sentients and their lackeys. In the group were Vert, Agura, Zoom, Stanford and Tezz. There was absolutely no escape, no second way out, and no remarkable escape room to work from. They had thought of everything and Battle Force 5 saw their rope shortening with every passing second.
Even Sage was at a total loss. When she saw that he brother and his army were on the move to Earth (somehow they had discovered the sequence that led them straight into headquarters) she never once thought that it was just a ploy, bait to lead most of Battle Force 5 to an untimely death before continuing on and finishing off the others as well as Sage. All was loss, and Sage felt her heart become heavy. There was nothing left for them nothing at all.
Spinner and Sherman were watching the screen, trying to find anything that could save their friends, friends that were truly more like family than anything else. And AJ, AJ was just in a bad mood. He just wants to charge in there and save them, save them before their lives are lost but no more vehicles can go in or out for that matter.
The group on the Red Sentient Planet was just awe-struck at the whole situation. This has never truly happened before. Sure they were surrounded, trapped even, but there was always a way, always a solution that can be done through teamwork, but there was nothing. Out of all of them, the one who was more depressed was Tezz. He was most likely going to die, and without telling Camellia how he truly felt. If anything that was his biggest and only regret. It seemed that Stanford had the same idea as well.
"Agura…" The Brit sounded softly and nervously. For months he's held his true feelings in, and now at the brink of their deaths he was going to speak them aloud. What rotten luck. "I just wanted you to know… Just in case we don't make it, that I—"
"Stanford…" She interrupted, feeling the tears threatening to come falling down her cheeks. "I know… I know…"
"Please…" Stanford begged. "I want to say it… I love you Agura."
"I… I love you too Stanford." Agura cried out, tears breaking out from her barrier.
"Oh man this sucks." Zoom stated. "And I can't tell Grace that I love her either."
Vert swallowed. He knew he doesn't have Grace. That girl always seemed to be more into Zoom than anyone else but Vert did have another, secret, attraction that even he never wanted to admit; Sage, the Blue Sentient that he was so close with. Despite her being another being, he had a fondness for her and a strong urge to protect her. Though unlike Stanford, he didn't have the courage to speak up, not while the others could hear. It wasn't that he was ashamed, he was far from it, and usually he had the courage, but if he was ever going to tell Sage what he feels, it wasn't going to be like this. He wouldn't want to do that to her.
Sage was preparing herself for the worst. First of all to witness the death of her friends, who she too thought, were like family, and then her certain demise. Nothing in the world, or universe even, seemed to be a way to save them all, as well as the Earth. How could they all have fallen into such a deep and inescapable trap?
Just when all felt lost a pounding noise came from the outside of the garage. Sage turned her attention to the other screen and pulled up the video of the camera that watched the entrance of the garage. It was Camellia. "Tezz?" She called out. "Hey Tezz I have to tell you something! Tezz open up! Guys?" She called out, still wearing her dress. Once Tezz had left and her tears clouded her vision she realized how stupid she was being. She liked Tezz, hell, loved him, and just because he had to leave to do whatever doesn't mean that he hasn't been there for here for everything else. And she just knew that he felt something towards her as well and today they almost kissed and that told her something. "Tezz?"
Sage sighed. What to do? She asked herself. She could feel Spinner, Sherman and AJ gather around her. She could feel their energy, all agreeing on the same thing. Sage sighed and opened the garage door. Camellia jumped back when the door suddenly opened. She got into her car and pulled it inside the car, she wasn't about to leave an HSE out in the open, even if it was in the middle of nowhere.
As she pulled into the garage she realized that the others' cars weren't there. In fact, there really weren't any cars in the garage. Maybe three, maybe, from what she could see. She was about to turn the car off and get out when the wall opened up and revealed some sort of elevator big enough to allow her car to go in. Camellia's mind raced. What were her friends up to? She edged the car into the elevator and watched as the wall fell back and the elevator went into motion. As her mind raced her thoughts kept on jumping back to Tezz. She was becoming more nervous as the elevator continued its path. Then it stopped and the wall in front of her opened. What she saw before her own two eyes she couldn't believe it, so much so, that a gasp escaped her and even she didn't notice that expel of air.
Cliffhanger. Sorry for the short chapter, it's late and I'm tired and I thought it would be a nice place to stop. What will happen next? Please review (especially if you're happy I started the story back up again)!
