Glammie: I'm so freaking excited!

Maka: Why, what's up?

Glammie: One word. Freaking Prom!

Arusa: You know that's two right?

Glammie: I have so much to do, but I bought my dress!

Arusa:(Talking to Maka) Did she ignore me?

Maka:(Shrugging) Guess so.

Glammie: You know what you guys should do? The disclaimer.

Maka: Glammiegirl328 does not own Soul Eater.

Glammie: But screw it who cares. It's Prom!

Arusa: Do you even have a date?

Glammie:(Cries) Noo...

Mama?

Maka dressed the twins again, turned off her food and grabbed her keys. Arusa was standing in the doorway with Itsu and a baby bag. They didn't know how long they would be in the school's examination room, so they packed the essentials. Extra clothes, bottles, and toys.

Maka sighed as she walked towards her fiance. She really wanted a normal life for her children, not to be used as some experiment. She never had a normal childhood and neither had Arusa.

Arusa: Maka?

Maka:(Snapping out of her thoughts) Huh?

Arusa: You know it's going to be ok, right?

Maka: I know I'm just panicking. I mean this could just be the start of the hell our children are going to have to face.

Arusa: Then, we'll get through it. We have every time.

Maka smiled at that. He was right. Every obstacle had been met head on, no issue was left unresolved.

Maka: Ok, let's go.

The couple took the toddlers to the car, strapped them in and drove to the Academy.

Once they were there, the quickly got out of the car amd rushed to the Death Room. They opened the doors to see Lord Death sitting at his chair. When he heard someone come in, he rose and turned to greet them.

Lord Death: Oh Maka, Arusa, what a nice surprise.

Maka: Hello Lord Death.

Arusa: Hey dad.

Lord Death: What can I do ya for?

Maka: It's not so much us as it is Itsu.

Lord Death: What's the matter?

Arusa: It seems that her powers came quicker than we anticipated.

Lord Death nodded seriously and called Stein on his mirror. It rang for a while until there was a disheveled Stein standing there.

Stein:(Scratching his head) Lord Death?

Lord Death: Hello Professor, I know it's kind of late to be calling, but it seems my granddaughter has gotten her powers earlier than we expected.

Stein: Of course, (Lighting a cigarette) I'm on my way.

Lord Death: Ok, see you then.

Once the mirror went back to the reflecton of Lord Death, he turned back to Maka and Arusa. The parents had not relaxed their positons since the entered the room.

Lord Death: Well, there is no use in fretting until Stein gets here, so why don't we enjoy some tea and snacks while we wait.

Maka and Arusa agreed to be polite. They put the twins in the playpen that Lord Death had bought just in case the young couple ever allowed him to babysit. Then they sat at the table set up in the Death room. On the table was a simple tea set, an assortment of cookies and pastries, and fruits.

Maka and her fiance took a cup of tea that Lord Death poured, added what they wanted to it, picked up a couple of deserts and sat down.

Once they reached the halfway mark of their cups, they heard the rolling and squeaking of Stein's chair. The doors opened to let the scientists in, however, once he got over the threshold, he fell face first out of his chair and onto the floor.

Stein:(Collecting himself) Lord Death, Maka, Arusa, (Walking over to the twins) what seems to be the problem?

Maka:(Speaking up first) Well, all week Itsu has been a little standoffish to me, and looking for Arusa everywhere she went.

Stein stood there examining Itsu as Maka spoke.

Maka: The day Arusa waw supposed to come home, he was late. Then out of no where, she started walking towards the door and getting really excited. Then I heard key jingling and Arusa walked through the door.

Stein: So, you think that she sensed him coming before her was in hearing distance?

Maka: Pretty much.

Stein nodded, and then went back to his examination.

Stein: Arusa?

Arusa:(Looking over) Yes?

Stein: Come grab Isamu for me.

Arusa shrugged and walk over to the blonde haired boy and picked him up. Isamu really didn't seem that responsive to his father's touch and kept looking at his mother who was standing near his grandfather.

He reached out his arms.

Stein: Now, Maka. Go grab Itsu.

Maka did what she was told and grabbed the twin and held her next to Arusa.

She reached her arms out.

Stein: Lord Death, what do you see?

Death was quite as he observed the family across the room. Then suddenly it hit him. Surely it couldn't be.

Maka: What? What do you see?

Stein: You're right, Itsu did receive her powers. But, Isamu did too.

Arusa: That's impossible, Maka would've noticed if something strange was up with him.

Stein: Unless there was nothing strange to begin with.

Maka: I don't get it.

Stein: It's quite simple really, just look at the parents they are each drawn to.

The couple looked at Itsu and Isamu. Itsu was reaching for Arusa and Isamu was reaching for Maka.

Stein: Lord Death, would you care to explain?

Lord Death:(Nodding and walking over to the couple) Maka, the reason that Stein asked you to pick up that certain twin is because they are your opposite. Isamu and Itsu are drawn to either of you, not because each of you their favorite, but because they find comfort in your souls.

Stein: Itsu, can sense Arusa because her soul is attracted to his.

Maka: But, why is that? What's causing this?

Stein: Arusa, what happens if you stop taking you're medicine?

Both teens were fidgeted. They had dicussed the fact that Arusa's mental health could decline again. It wasn't really the hottest topic in the household.

Arusa:(Frowning) I could revert back to madness.

Stein: So, you're madness never went away?

Arusa shook his head.

Stein:(Smirking) Interesting.

Maka: What? I don't get it.

Stein: It's quite simple really. If Arusa never lost his madness, then it can be inherited by any of his offspring.

Maka: So, you think that Itsu got Asura's madness gene?

Stein: Precisely. Itsu got her all of power from him too.

Maka: Then what about Isamu, I never seen anything out of the ordinary with him.

Stein: Well, that is because he is perfectly normal?

The couple gave him questioning looks.

Stein: Let me explain. Isamu would've also developed the madness gene, but he has something blocking it.

Maka: The Grigori Soul.

Stein: Very good, Maka. Because Isamu can block out madness, he will be hust as normal as you are Maka.

Maka was relieved to hear that. She was happy that Isamu would have a normal life, but she was still worried about the fate of her daughter.

Arusa seemed to read her mimd becuase he asked first.

Arusa: What will happen to Itsu?

Stein: Only time can tell. For now, we can just watch carefully.

Both Maka and Arusa nodded gravely. They knew that it was only a matter of time before they knew the fate of their daughter. They only had a small amount of time to be in the dark.

(Later that day)

Maka stood at the doorway of her kitchen watching the twins in their playpen. For now they looked normal, but Maka still felt herself standing there, watching.

Arusa:(From Behind) You're going to get worry lines like that.

Maka: I can't help it.

Arusa:(Walking up behind her) Well, like my father and Stein said, we have to just wait and see.

Maka nodded and smirked up at him. She turned towards him and gave him a kiss on the lips and a hug. When she open her eyes in the hug, she noticed a hooded figure standing in the window. Before she could get a good look at the person, the person ran off.

Maka: No! (Shoving herself away from Arusa)

Arusa: Maka, what's wrong?

Maka: Someone was just watching from the window. (Running towards the door)

Arusa: Maka, wait I'm coming with you.

Maka: No time. Besides this person could be after Itsu and Isamu, so I need you to stay to protect them.

Arusa: Ok, but be safe.

With that, Maka took off into the night.

She ran as hard and as fast as she could. She could sense which way yne figure was going, so she wasn't going to lose them that easily. Eventually, she could almost make out the retreating silhouette.

Maka: Hey! (Pushing herself farther forward)

The figure knew that the young meister was on their heels. They kept trying to run faster, but Maka was to be catching up.

Maka was finally close enough to tackle the person. She wrestled with what felt like a woman, on the ground. When she finally had her pinned, she removed the hood from the person.

Blonde hair, bright bluish-green eyes, and fair skin looked up at the teenage meister.

Maka: Mama?

Extras:

Glammie: Oh my god, the mama drama.

Bill: Exactly, however, I don't think you planned to write it that way.

Glammie: Yeah, no. Somewhere between AP classes, watching Game of Thrones, and starving myself of all unhealthy foods, I've forgotten what exactly I was writing.

Bill: Well, it's all in the past now. You might as well do some shout outs.

Hatter Quicktype: Thank you ever so much for your reviews as always. Of course this'll end badly, otherwise I'd have no plot. I'm so glad to be back, and I'm happy you want me back.

FW Wandering: I guess we were both thinking the same thing. Itsu is gonna be one BAMF when she gets older. Also, I think she's gonna tease him for everything. It's what older sisters do. Thanks for the review and glad to be back.

Glammie: Well, this granola filled high is ending for the night. Really sleepy *yawn* ...

Bill: Be sure to check out Glamm's first ever Fanfiction, Quest.

Glammie: I wrote it way before Kishin Formally Known as Asura.

Bill: She was like 15.

Glammie: Those were the days. Please review you awesome nerds.
