Chapter 12: Backfired

Location: Gravity Falls, Oregon

Landing flat on his face, Henry stood up, brushed the dirt off of his black suit, and turned around to look at the Mystery Shack. He just found out that the little physic kid and that triangle person shaped as a cool ranch Dorito, (which he has never seen before) captured his niece and they have plans for her…BIG plans. He shouted, looking upwards towards the house, demanding to let her go. The other agents had stopped working and went to Henry, who was on the verge of a meltdown with tears showing at the bridges of his eyes. He explained the whole situation to his fellow members, and they all felt a similar agony feeling just like Henry did. William brought up a point saying that if they don't continue to work, Gideon will send shocks to their collars, and that's the last thing they need right this second. The members re-approached the Gideon-Bot, with Henry following reluctantly behind. He had to rescue his niece from the clutches of Gideon, but he didn't know how he could, since Gideon is always one step ahead. Everyone from the town seemed exhausted and annoyed with this kid, and Gideon and Bill only found it humorous.

Shortly after the agents got back to work, Gideon had made his way towards the rooftop of the former Mystery Shack. Duct tape was now over the young teenager's mouth, so when she would regain consciousness, no one would hear her cries for help. They'll hear her whimper, but they won't understand her. Gideon steadied her body straight, as Bill placed her hands behind her back, and handcuffed them together to another totem pole. Gideon watched the residents of the town doing their jobs as best as they could, but the eight year old saw slacking. He decided that it was time for a little announcement. Gideon grabbed his bull horn, and switched it to the siren position. Every townsfolk jumped in fear, and screamed in pain as the physic sent mild shocks to every single collar in the yard. Once everyone's eyes seemed to be glued on him, he switched to the talking position of the bull horn, and began his small speech.

Gideon: Citizen's of Gravity Falls, I am pleased to announce that my queen, who I mentioned several days ago, has arrived. BUT it is not the same girl.

He and Bill could hear tiny gasps escape from the townspeople's mouths, as they began to wonder who it was. Many people remember that Gideon tried to persuade Mabel Pines into becoming his queen, but she declined instantly. Nobody wants to be working with/for him, and they just had to think as to whom might the new queen be, and why she decided to work with Gideon Gleeful.

Bill grabbed the girl and removed the handcuffs from the totem pole, but then re-handcuffed her hands behind her back. He then stood her up straight so that the town could get a full view as to who this girl is.

Gideon: Ladies and gentlemen, presenting my new queen for ALL ETERNITY….Gwen.

The residents of Gravity Falls all gasped in horror as they saw the girl with her head down, eyes clothes, shock collar around her neck, and her mouth taped shut, as the triangle demon stood her up straight. Henry Simmons wanted to speak out and demand the kid to release his niece, but he knew if he did, he would get shocked, and so would everyone else from the town. He held in his pain, watching his niece right in front of him, trapped in the clutches of an eight year old. He felt powerless, and ashamed that he went on this mission, and he couldn't do anything but watch.

Gideon: I expect you all to obey her with much respect, as you do to me. She will be waking up momentarily, and I'm hoping in like the next half hour, she will come up with some plans for all of you. Now, if I don't see you all back in your working spots in the next five seconds, YOU ALL GET SHOCKED!

Everyone dispersed and went back to their stations, as Gideon counted down from five. All residents seemed to make it back on time, but he still shocked them with the shock collars, just to see them cry in pain again. He laughed menacingly as he made his way back down to the living room of the former tourist trap.

Several minutes passed by and Gwen seemed to regain consciousness once again. She shook her head to wake herself up, and she noticed that two black hands holding her steady, and noticed a shock collar placed on her neck. She tried to get her hands in front of her to remove it, but her hands were chained behind her back. She struggled, and Bill made his appearance in front of her, and looked her in the eyes.

Bill: Hey, stop struggling; Gideon's getting your crown so you can rule the town with him.

Gwen: NO WAY! I want to go back to California and see Dipper and Mabel. In fact, I bet that they are on their way right now, forming that army, and planning on freeing everyone, including me.

The dream demon was silent for a moment, trying to figure out how he can use that sentence against her, and trick her into agreeing to be the queen with Gideon. However, he couldn't think on it for too long because Gideon returned with his crown that he had made previously for Mabel. He approached the girl and placed it gently on her head. The crown said "Gideon's Girl" indicating that she would be with him for all eternity. Gwen looked at the eight year old in disgust; not wanting any part of this.

Gwen: I demand you let me go right now!

Gideon: Gwen, why can't you just give this a shot? I bet we could be a great team together.

Gwen: Never! If you're thinking that I will use my martial arts skills to hurt the innocent people out there, and use them for bad, you're surely mistaken. You can't keep me in this place forever, because as soon as you least expect it, I will use all the strength I can to get the town freed, and your little butt in Gravity Falls Maximum Security Prison. Also, the twins are on their way here, going to do everything they can to free everyone, including me! Your little victory day is coming close to shutting down.

The eight year old looked at the girl in disbelief. He never knew that she could threat something as big as throwing him back in jail. Bill could obviously tell that she was not joking at all, since she wasn't smiling throughout any of her statements. She wanted to be free, and so did everyone else. In fact, Bill was even more surprised as to what Gideon granted for the girl.

Gideon: Bill, it looks like my queen doesn't want to cooperate with me at the moment. Perhaps it's possible that you could create an addition to this old Mystery Shack.

Bill: What kind of addition?

Gideon: A dungeon; It will be for people who don't follow instructions, or people who don't want to cooperate with the king.

With the snap of fingers, the dream demon was able to create a dungeon, which was twice as big as the former tourist trap. Bill surrounded Gwen with blue fluorescent light once again, and placed her in the top room of the dungeon. He put her in the room, and he locked the barred gate behind her. She grasped onto the bars and looked in the dream demon's eye with hatred and disgust.

Gwen: You won't get away with this.

Bill: Oh…but I will…and so will Gideon.

The cool ranch dorito then vanished in thin air, and Gwen tried to kick the bar doors of the dungeon, but every time she did so, she would receive a shock from her stupid, annoying shock collar. She stopped after five minutes until she couldn't take the pain anymore. She looked out the window of the dungeon, getting a view of the whole town, and all of the captured residents. She was trapped; and she didn't know what to do. She glanced at the horizon, and the last peaks of sunshine were showing over the mountain top. She was stuck in the dungeon with only her thoughts and one of those thoughts were about Dipper and Mabel. She was really hoping that they were on their way. She missed them both desperately. She slid down the wall, and landed on her behind with the handcuffs pinching her skin ever so often. She drifted off into a slumber, thinking about how to break free, and how she can find the twins. She wasn't going to give up. Not yet.

Location: Entry border from the town of Gravity Falls:

Both Dipper and Mabel woke up in a start, as the taxi slammed the breaks on, causing both twins to hit the seat in front of them. The taxi driver stated that the town was condemned, and that there was no way through. Dipper however, said that this was a fine place to drop them off, and handed the taxi driver all of the money that they owed them after a long car ride. They got out of the taxi and grabbed their bags from the trunk and saw the car drive away full speed from the condemned city. They officially made it to Gravity Falls, and the next thing they had to do, was find all of the creatures they decided to gather together. The twins decided to find the gnomes first and see if they were willing to help them once again. They took out flashlights and began making their way into the forest to find the home of the gnomes.

Location: Gnomes Home

Nearly tripping over roots from the giant oak and maple trees, bugs and spiders around their every corner, and hearing footsteps from the distance once in a while, they finally made it to the home of the gnomes. It looked like exactly as it was back when they asked for their help the last time. The twins quietly and gently looked over the shrub from the gnomes' home and saw them playing games and some of them bathing with squirrels. One gnome happened to look up from his game and saw the Pines once again. They all growled and approached the two of them with hatred and their teeth showed through there somewhat monstrous face. Dipper and Mabel stepped back a little, not wanting to get into any battle between them, but they all stopped creeping closer when they heard their leader say "PAUSE". Jeff appeared from his squirrel bath once again, and saw who it was once again. He rolled his eyes as he put on the rest of his gnome outfit.

Jeff: You two…again. What could you possibly want this time?

Mabel: We need your help again. Gideon took over the town and-

The leader of the gnomes' put his hand up as a sign for Mabel to hush up, and he rolled his eyes once again.

Jeff: I believe the last time we helped you try to defeat Gideon, he blew a whistle in our ears, and he was most likely our ruler for like three minutes. Plus Dipper lied to me saying that Gideon was a girl, with his Elvis shaped hair; even though his skin was very soft and flattering. I swear he use some type of moisturizer.

Dipper: Okay, okay, we get it. Look the past is in the past, so why can't you help us this one last time?

Jeff: Because, I don't need ringing going through my ears once again, and neither do the rest of the gnomes. Besides, Shmebulock has very sensitive ears. Even with the sound of fireworks on the fourth of July, he'll end up falling down screaming his name, since that's the only thing he can say.

Shmebulock overheard Jeff say his name so he questioned if he needed him, and Jeff said that he never said his name. Shmebulock just went back to his game with Jason and Steve. The leader of the gnomes' turned his attention back to Dipper and Mabel.

Jeff: Sometimes, I don't know what he's saying. Anyways, teaming up with you two is not going to happen. Don't you remember what I said to you two the last time? I said "Next time, do your own dirty work". And that's exactly what you're going to do.

Mabel: But-

Jeff: No buts. Now leave!

Sighing in defeat, Dipper and Mabel left the home of the gnomes and back out towards the entrance of the forest. Dipper took out the piece of paper that they wrote down which kind of supernatural creatures could help them, and crossed off gnomes.

Mabel: Well, who needs the gnomes? They're a bunch of jerks anyways. Besides, there are still tons of creatures that we wrote down. What's next on the list?

Dipper: We got the Multi-Bear. I'm hoping that he'll help us.

Mabel: We can always try. Where's his home out?

Dipper: Its east of the gnomes' home, but there's no way I'm climbing all the way up there with my bare hands.

Mabel: Don't worry bro. I always have my grappling hook with me! We'll get up there in no time!

Dipper: Great! Let's go!

The Pines twins ran in the east direction up to towards the home of the Multi-Bear, hoping that he will be willing to help defeat Gideon. Since both the creature and the slightly younger twin, liked the group BABBA, there should be no reason why the Multi-Bear would say no. Besides, Mabel did have a point. Who needs the gnomes? They are just a bunch of jerks.

Location: Multi-Bear's Home

The twins made it to the mountain where the Multi-Bear lives. It was super high up, and Mabel still had her major fear of heights. She thought that maybe it was better that she should remain down on the ground while her brother goes up there to talk to the creature. However, Dipper thought that it was a bad idea because Gideon's body guards could easily come and take her hostage, and he doesn't want to see that happen. He knew that his sister had a fear of heights, but she had to go with him. Mabel handed her brother the grappling hook, and he shot it upwards. She clutched him tightly as he had on arm around his sister, and the other one firmly on the device. She felt herself lift up from the ground, as she closed her eyes tightly. Within one minute, they made it back on firm ground and she was relieved that she was still alive. Dipper unhooked the grappling hook and gave it back to his sister. As she took it back, they both noticed the Manotaurs eating something vigorously. Dipper couldn't help but ask out loud what they were eating. The Manotaurs turned around and saw Destructor once again.

Chutzpar: It's Dipper the Destructor!

Pubetor: Oh yeah! The weakling!

All of the Manotaurs began to boo at him, back from denying their actions, from becoming a full proof man at a young age. Mabel hated it when people opposed her brother, so she gave them a nasty look, and walked up a few steps.

Mabel: HEY! MY BROTHER IS NOT WEAK! MAYBE YOU GUYS ARE JUST A BUNCH OF DUMB-DUMBS WHO HAVE NO CLASS!

The Manotaurs all gasped in horror to Mabel's statement, as she walked back next to her brother, as Testosteror approached the slightly frightened girl.

Testosteror: Did you just call us Dumb-Dumbs?

Mabel: Maybe I did. Now you all better apologize to my brother right now, before I call you all Dumb-Dumbs again.

The Manotaurs were silent for a moment, until they all broke into laughter at Mabel's ridiculous statement. She only shook her head in response and rolled her eyes, while Dipper walked up a little towards the Manotaurs.

Dipper: Stop laughing and answer my question…where is the Multi-Bear?

Pituitor: Dead.

Dipper: Dead?

Chutzpar: Yep. The Multi-Bear stood up to us and demanded that we stop making fun of him, and as soon as he left, went back up here, and ate him. All of his heads were DELICIOUS!

Testosteror: We'd give you a piece of bear head, but you're not a man so…

The twins couldn't believe that the Multi-Bear were now dead just for trying to stick up to the Manotaurs. It was stupid to kill him for that reason. Well that ruled out the Multi-Bear's help, so it didn't hurt to ask these creatures if they were willing to help them with their problem.

Dipper: Maybe it's possible that you guys can help us with something. You see, there's this kid named Gideon and he-

Chutzpar: Not going to happen Destructor. You couldn't defeat the Multi-Bear, so there's no point for us to help you. Go.

Mabel: Dipper, maybe we can find the Gigant Bats or the Gremloblin, or go to the video game center in town and get Rumble instead.

Pubetor: Uh…I wouldn't if I were you. We actually ate all of the Gigant Bats this morning, and the Gremloblin's have traveled to the east side of the world, for the rest of the summer. Plus, every store in Gravity Falls has been shut down because of Gideon.

The twins couldn't believe what they were hearing. All of the creatures that could have been in good use were now gone or refused to help them. This is turning out to be a horrible day for The Mystery Twins.

Dipper: Please! You're our last hope! You got to help us!

The Manotaurs looked at one another, and then back to the twins. They could either help the twins, and take down this Gideon kid, or hope they'll never see these two kids ever again in the history of Manotaur-time. Chutzpar and Pituitor approached the twins and grabbed each one of them, and literally threw them out of the Multi-Bear's cave. They could hear their screams until they saw birds flying away from the trees. They chuckled and went back to eating the last bits of the Multi-Bear.

Location: Gravity Falls Forest:

Dipper and Mabel landed in the Pine Trees of the forest in Gravity Falls. They slid down and got all the thorns off of them, and brushed off the dirt that was on their clothes. Dipper pulled out the list and crossed off every creature from the list, since they all declined or were all gone for good. He crumbled up the list and through it down on the ground. He sat down on the grassy area of the forest and leaned against the big Pine Tree. Mabel sat beside him and sighed in defeat. She looked at him and he looked back. She couldn't help but ask what was going to happen next for them.

Dipper: Well, there's only one thing we can do Mabel. Since those creatures don't want to help, then I think the only thing I can think of is going to the Mystery Shack and confront Gideon ourselves.

Mabel: But what if we get captured?

Dipper: Then we still won't give up…not even for a second. We're doing this for the town, and for Gwen. She wouldn't want us to quit, and we're not giving up any time soon.

His sister only nodded in response, and laid her head on his shoulder, he rubbed her arm and looked up in the starry night sky of Gravity Falls.

Dipper: Mabel, I wasn't expecting you to yell at the Manotaurs back there, and it was funny when you called them Dumb-Dumbs. It was unnecessary, but…thank you.

Getting no reply from his sister, he heard her snoring lightly. He smiled and kissed her lightly on the forehead. He looked back up in the sky and saw a shooting star wiz pass the forest. Dipper immediately made a wish as he began to drift off into a somewhat peaceful sleep for the night.

Dipper: I wish some type of supernatural creature would help us defeat Gideon so we can save the residents…and Gwen.
