Chapter 11: Strength
"Look Yami-chan, it was an accident! I didn't purposely slip on the roof and land on you by some weird chance!" a running Yuuki Rito shouted as he jumped from rooftop to rooftop.
"You, Yuuki Rito, are an enemy of all women… I will liberate the females in this world from your grasp," Yami declared stoically as her bio-assassin hair turned into a fist, her face returning to its normal monotonous look.
Rito had to flip backwards as Yami's hair sliced at him, just like some maniacal boxer, and his bad luck seemed to continue as he smashed through the window of a house; he hadn't realised that this house was his own. That's right, somehow, he's managed to run all around his city and end up back in his house without even knowing. We salute you, Rito!
"Umm… can you pretend I wasn't here? I promise I didn't see anything," Rito said as his blushing face was turned away. In front of him stood his blonde vampire friend/enemy, and she only had her undergarments on; Rito felt the temperature drop in the room as a malevolent presence started to walk towards him.
"Why always me?!" Rito could only wail as Viktoria's less-than-clad figure started to walk towards him, violent, painful motives on her face.
"Wow, Rito! Are those bandages a new sort of fashion? There's so many of them on your body that I thought that would be the case…" Saruyama said half-jokingly, as he saw his orange-haired friends covered from head-to-toe in bandages; comically, only his hair and eyes were visible.
"Mmmmmfmfmfmmf… let's just say that the girls you and I are surrounded by, are very dangerous," Rito replied with an ominous look on his face, somehow managing to get his mouth uncovered.
"Look, I don't want anyone seeing me like this, especially people like Lala, 'cause they'll start getting weird ideas. So, if anyone asks, I'm a mummy that you found in your back garden…"
"A mummy? A Japanese mummy? Seriously?" Saruyama questioned, a look of disbelief apparent on his face. His head just slowly shaking as he started to smirk.
"Plate tectonics… no wait, extreme plate tectonics- from Egypt all the way to Japan is less than 3000 years somehow," Rito fumbled for a bad reason, and he instantly got one.
"Okay, that's 2-0 to me; Japan are out of the World Cup, but I'm still in-form in my strikes," Rito said with confidence as both Viktoria and Yuka lay on the floor, their backs to the ground.
"My sparring skills are still good… but why suddenly guys?"
"Rito, we don't know when the otherworldly beings will come here, so we have to be ready for it- that includes people like me. We have to train and get stronger… it's not like I'm doing this for you anyways!" Viktoria replied, her last statement sounding like your cliché Tsundere character.
"Yeah, exactly… plus, I couldn't miss a chance to get all hot and sweaty with Rito-kun…" Yuka added, her eyes closed, and her hands on her blushing face. Rito also reddened up a bit.
"Well, you guys are definitely skilled, there's no denying that. But it still seems like things such as teamwork are lacking; we need to continue training… just as you said Viktoria, we don't know when the dangers will come," Rito stated seriously as he picked up his katana and sheathed it.
"But Rito-kun… you're amazing, how are you so skilled?" Yuka asked as her eyes glowed with curiosity as well as other less acceptable intentions. Viktoria couldn't help being curious as well; most humans barely had 5% of the strength and power she had. Why was he so different?
"I am very well-travelled… not only did I travel here on the Earth, but I also went into space many times. I met a lot of interesting people so stuff like that just happens. You have to be motivated and have strong willpower to survive," Rito explained, his hands behind his head.
"A bit like Darwinism, but a bit different I guess- you become the best in order to survive, but you also get there by surviving… wait what?" Rito became confused as he tried to make sense of what he'd just said.
"Rito-kun, we'll train the best so that we have a good future together," Yuka stated as she held onto Rito's left hand with both hands.
I feel like I haven't thought in a while, Rito thought as waved off Yuka and followed Viktoria to their home.
So… yeah… about this story, I want exactly sure what direction it was going to take so I kinda just left it for a while. Especially since I started my Rosario vampire fanfic, and I was really getting into that. Anyways, this story isn't discontinued, it will carry on, but the updates might be a bit erratic. The chapters wont exactly be amazingly long, because if I make them long, I feel like the ideas in it will be very plain. As Ive found out, this type of story is harder to write because you cant really directly base it off the manga. But thank you for all your support, and I'll try my best to make this story half-decent. Thanks for all the reviews and support. Next chapter… don't exactly know when, but certain that I will do it.
