Chapter 16: Aftermath

Oh god… my body hurts like hell… guess that's what you get for groping someone accidently, although… the orange haired boy known as Yuuki Rito got up from the bed in the infirmary; his hands rubbed his spiky orange hair as he stepped out onto the floor.

"Oh my, should you be getting out of bed so quickly," a female voice said from his right side.

"Technically, no, but staying in bed isn't really my style- I prefer to be more active," Rito replied with a polite smile as he faced the owner of the question. The person in question had dark red hair and voluptuous chest, instantly recognisable as the nurse Ryoko Mikado.

"Oh yes, I hear you were very 'active' around the girls' changing rooms earlier…" Mikado-sensei replied with a slight smirk.

Rito's face turned red slowly as he remembered his earlier encounter and grabbing of certain things.

"I assure you Mikado-sensei… that is not the type of active I meant," Rito stuttered through his blushing face. The school nurse then gave a small chuckle as she looked at the golden-eyed boy.

"…I feel a bit jealous- I wouldn't have minded being there in the changing rooms earlier…" the nurse gave him a seductive look as Rito somehow turned even redder- his appearance reminiscent of a tomato.

"Haha… is that the school bell I hear? Well, time flies, nice to see you sensei…" Rito spoke in panic as he opened the window and jumped out, much to the nurse's amusement. Holy crap, I really suck at dealing with Mikado-sensei- just cant beat that mature charm… Rito thought with closed eyes as he reached the ground; he went towards the classrooms.

"Sorry I'm late- there were a few special circumstances…heh…" Rito said awkwardly while standing at the classroom door, all eyes were staring at him. He even felt a killing intent but he ignored it for now.

"Rito, where have you been?" Lala shouted in surprise as she zoomed into him at what seemed like light speed. Her normally cheerful demeanour was not there- in fact, she was more in a cute pout.

"I thought you'd left us again," she said slowly as her hands remained on the boy's shoulders.

"Nah, I don't think I'll be leaving anytime soon- there's too many amazing people here around me," Rito answered in a soft voice as he looked at the pink-haired girl.

"I'll tell you more later, but I think we might be distracting the whole class…uhh… yeah," Rito said as he stared at the whole class and they stared back at him. He glanced around and he saw his goofy friend Saruyama looking like the usual; he also saw Haruna looking as cute as always (Rito's words, not mine). Wait, that killing intent… I thought it seemed familiar… Rito thought with a smirk as he pinpointed the person in question. That sensation was also a bit too familiar… Rito thought as he quickly turned his head downwards.

"I can see your face Rito! And I can tell from its colour what you're thinking of," an angry female voice shouted as he glanced at the noisy student. Although beautiful, the blonde, slim girl shouting at him was rather dangerous when she got angry; he wouldn't be surprised if he was found with his blood drained the next day if it concerned the vampire Viktoria.

"Oh come on, that was an accident, Viktoria-sama," Rito retorted half serious.

"What?" the thought of Rito seeing her as above him bought a slight tingle to her senses as she froze for a few seconds.

"Woah… you're getting a bit too into that fantasy there… just 'cause I called you –sama as well. Guess you're a H-girl," Rito replied with an innocent shrug of the shoulder.

"…hnghh… I hate you!" Viktoria said with a cute flustered face as she sat back down on her chair. That's like 10-0 to me I swear, I always win against this girl haha, he thought with a grin as he sat down on the chair.

"Rito-san, do you like adding more girls to your harem or something?" Momo asked with feigned innocence, her purple eyes glittering in the evening light. Rito, Mikan and the Devilukean sisters were all sat in the living room gazing at the short, petite, blue-haired girl sitting on the sofa; her prominent blue eyes observed them, but particularly focused on Rito.

"It's not like that Momo," Rito replied while shaking his head. "Mikasa, good to see you here- it's reassuring to see you again," Rito stated politely with a smile. I'm guessing I'll have to explain to this to people from school- especially Saruyama, that guy probably digs lolis as well, Rito considered with a sigh.

"Wait, so you've met this girl before… wait, don't tell me you're a lolicon Rito," Mikan stated, her eyes filling with suspicion as Lala chuckled a bit.

"I wouldn't be surprised- he is a beast after all," Nana added in for good measure.

"Fortunately for all of you, I'm certainly not a lolicon- I happened to meet Mikasa in my adventure within the portal. She was the only remotely human-looking organism in there- no offense," Rito answered with confidence as he stretched his arms out.

"Where's Viktoria by the way, my arms still kill from her stupid piñata game," Rito said in annoyance as he stared up at the top of the room.

"Onii-san, please take care of me," Mikasa said bowing in front of all of them.

"Sure," Rito smiled. "Where's Celine by the way, I haven't seen her in a while…" Rito declared as he inspected the area around him.

"Well, good to see things back to normal although I don't actually know where Celine went- maybe Viktoria has her," Mikan answered back as they all got up. Now I'm really curious, I haven't seen Celine in a while… Rito pondered as he stayed sitting down.

Oh jesus, it has been too long. How time flies in this world. The last chapter was just after my mock exams and now this one is during my real ones haha. As I said before, my studies have been mentally taxing me to the point where I lose motivation and just watch anime and other stuff. But I might have found some spark to write more chapters. My Rosario vampire fiction might possibly be dropped because that requires way more time and commitment than this story- plus I can goof around a bit more on this story than the other. But we'll see how things go before taking that step. Basically, don't expect tons of chapters, but I might try to be more frequent as I feel like wanting to write again.
