So the chapter was a bit short so I put it in with another to make a 2 part chapter, and I also have just realised I haven't done a disclaimer so:

Chapter 3

"Oh my god that is a brilliant idea" screamed Jess as Connor told everyone,

"Thank-you and Ow" smiled Connor as he cradled his ringing ear that Jess had just screamed down,

"What is going on in here?" came Lester's voice

"Connor came up with an idea to have a game of secret santa" replied Abby

"I am not up for your petty little games Connor; your games from the past month have caused a hell of a lot of paperwork!" Lester complained grumpily,

Connor smiled as he began to remember when one of his 'games' went wrong and caused the arc to go into lockdown and Lester nearly died as the oxygen was sucked out of his office. 2 bosses nearly dead in 2 years, Connor was lucky not to have been locked in the menagerie by now!

"I agree with Lester, I am not up for Connors petty little games" agreed Becker, releasing Connor from his memory.

"Do not be so grumpy Becker" said Emily

"Yeah I love secret santa though the anticipation of who your Santa is does drive me mad" agreed Jess

"Well I am out" Lester huffed as he walked off back to his office,

"I guess I am in, otherwise I think Connor would dump another bucket of water on my head again" complained Becker as all the team laughed at the thought.

"Ok so it is settled, I will bring round a hat for us to pick a name out of later and we bring in our presents in 3 weeks that should give everyone enough time." Connor said excitedly,

Everyone else nodded in agreement, Becker headed off back to the armoury, annoyed that he had been dragged into this game but was rather excited in the hope that he would pick a certain name out.

Jess walked back to the A.D.D and smiled at her excitement, she wasn't sure why she was so excited, it was either the anticipation of secrecy and surprise or the thought of picking out a certain name.

As they walked off in separate directions, Connor gave a nod to Matt to say all go on the plan.

"Oh my god" Jess whispered silently, she couldn't believe her luck out of the 5 names she could have picked out she chose Becker's, she just stared at the name before suddenly realising that she had no clue what to buy. She could buy him something Christmassy but thought otherwise as she knew that Becker was not a fan of Christmas so she began thinking of something else.

"I will go shopping tonight!" she said to herself excitedly, how Jess loved to shop.

"Oh god" Becker sighed, out of everybody Becker had wanted to pick out Jess' name but now he had he regretted it, what if he buys her something really nice and then she didn't like it,

"Maybe I could buy her lots of chocolate" he thought to himself "no I always buy her chocolate"

Becker had begun to buy Jess a chocolate once a week so that she kept up her happy attitude during this very dull and slow time.

"I will just have to go shopping" signed Becker, oh how Becker hated to shop.

As Connor brought found his hat, he put 1 of each name in the hat so 5 of Becker's name for Jess to choose out of and 4 of Jess' name for Becker to choose out of (so that it looked like he had seen someone else before). He then found Emily and Matt sharing a kiss in Matt's jungle office and found Abby in the menagerie with their pets; Sid, Nancy and Rex. Connor then chose a name,

"damn it" Connor said under his breath as he picked out Emily's name, he wanted to pick out Abby's name which meant he could get a present easily but now he had no idea what he was going to buy.

Matt had picked out Connor's name, Abby had picked out Matt's name and Emily had picked out Abby's name. They all struggled to come up with an idea for a present; this was not going to be as easy as they thought it was going to be.
