A/N: just something small I made, the idea is from my beta reader, so a big thanks for her. Sorry if it isn't that great, I was rather tired while writing this (the same goes for my beta reader). So just for your excitement! Please enjoy and tell me what you thought.

Merlin nervously stepped forward as he glanced toward Aithusa, he could see the excitement in her eyes and he must admit that he was rather anxious to know how it would go, how their plan would go.
The plan was simple, but at the same time did he knew that it was a dangerous one. That is why they were currently in the middle of nowhere. The idea was that they would combine their magic in order to create a powerful magic, that could aid in solving people's hunger, putting an end to wars, maybe even keep them from even happening.
'What do you think of this spot?' Aithusa asked as she looked at him with her large eyes.
Merlin eyed his surroundings, which was actually miles and miles of empty space so it didn't really matter where they tried this. 'This place seems fine.' He answered and both of them stopped. 'So do you remember the plan?' He asked as he eyed her. The big dragon nodded enthusiastically and they readied themselves.
Aithusa slowly sank to her legs, taking in a deep breath before she opened her strong jaws, breathing out her mighty and magical fire.
Merlin himself let his magic go free, entwining itself in the magic of her fire, feeling her familiar power.
But they had barely released their magic when he felt it all go wrong. Merlin cut off his magic, but he already knew that he couldn't stop the magic from going out of hand. The magical fire increased, spreading all around them and the warlock had to hide his eyes from the brightness of the light. He felt how the ground underneath his feet started to crumble down and he was falling, feeling the air hiss against his body.
His magic spread out, preventing himself and Aithusa from falling to their deaths and they landed softly on the ground.
Merlin blinked for a moment as he felt the earth beneath his fingers, what had just happened?
He could hear Aithusa chuckle besides him as the dust started to clear. The raven just stared in shock as he looked around him. The earth had just completely vanished from beneath his feet, their magic had created a large ravine and he almost fell backwards as he tried to see the edges, they were way to high.
It was then that he felt Aithusa's large nose poke into his side. He just patted her head, still letting his eyes wander over the ravine they had created with their combined magic.
'That was a rather amusing reacting from our combined magic.' She said with a light chuckle. 'But now I'm tired, let's just go home.' He nodded as he stood up and they slowly made their way to the end of the ravine. 'I guess you could say that we just created a grand canyon.'
