A/N: Hello everyone out there, so another chapter and a really quick and long one (I think the longest one I have written)! To be quick this isn't a crossover chapter with doctor who. I wasn't quite sure if I wanted to give an opening note, but decided on doing so, because I wanted to inform you guys that this is a crossover with five nights at Freddy's, it's a horror game. This will be an oneshot! More I don't think I have to add, only that I hope you enjoy reading this story.

Merlin looked up from the paper in his hands to the building in front of him. A small smile crossed his lips before he stuffed the paper in his pocket, he was at the right place. His hands reached for the door, but just before he touched the metal he felt a chill run over his back and his head snapped around, looking at the darkness behind him, nothing.
The warlock shook his head, even after all those years the darkness could still frighten him. He pushed his way past the door and eyed the dark hallways before him, he silently made his way towards his new office. Through the years he and Aithusa may have saved up enough to not need to work for a good while, but he just didn't like to sit still. They had just moved to this town, people started to notice their lack of aging in their last one. This new job was simple and he was in the mood to try something new, so now he was a night guard.
He sat down in an office chair, laying his legs over the arm rest as he eyed the room around him. Monitors were placed on the desk, some junk, most likely from the past guard and he quickly tossed it in the trash, and an plushy cupcake... he didn't know why, but it made him nervous. He reached for the pink plushy and turned it around so that its big eyes didn't look at him.
Merlin eyed the clock, 11:56. He shrugged, the manager that he spoke had told him that an automatic message would play itself when the clock would turn 12, he would then hear all the instructions. He pushed himself away from the desk, the wheels under his chair allowing him to glide around the room, and towards the door. He eyed the hallway for a moment, should he take a look further into the restaurant, he knew that the pizzeria had an couple of amazing animatronics, he even had to promise Aithusa that they would visit soon during the day to see them perform.
He decided not to as he didn't want to mess up and miss the recording, he would take a look later that night.
He pushed himself back to the desk and picked up the hand monitor, it was a strange little thing and it took him a moment before he figured out how it worked, apparently you had to push a button on the side to turn it on, how was he supposed to know that?
It was then that the clock turned 12 and the recording started to play itself.
Hello, hello? Uh, I wanted to record a message for you to help you get settled in on your first night. Um, I actually worked in that office before you. I'm finishing up my last week now, as a matter of fact. So, I know it can be a bit overwhelming, but I'm here to tell you there's nothing to worry about. Uh, you'll do fine. So, let's just focus on getting you through your first week. Okay?
This guy sounded nervous... why did he sound so nervous?
Uh, let's see, first there's an introductory greeting from the company that I'm supposed to read. Uh, it's kind of a legal thing, you know. Um, "Welcome to Freddy Fazbear's Pizza. A magical place for kids and grown-ups alike, where fantasy and fun come to life. Fazbear Entertainment is not responsible for damage to property or person. Upon discovering that damage or death has occurred, a missing person report will be filed within 90 days, or as soon property and premises have been thoroughly cleaned and bleached, and the carpets have been replaced."
Wait, wait one moment! He straightened his back as he eyed the phone. Did this guy just say death?!... Okay, calm down Merlin, it's probably just because it has to be said, in case a shelf falls over or something. He leaned back, but couldn't shake the tension that had settled in his body.
Blah blah blah, now that might sound bad, I know, but there's really nothing to worry about. Uh, the animatronic characters here do get a bit quirky at night, but do I blame them? No. If I were forced to sing those same stupid songs for twenty years and I never got a bath? I'd probably be a bit irritable at night too.
W-wait what does he mean by 'a bit quirky'?
So, remember, these characters hold a special place in the hearts of children and we need to show them a little respect, right? Okay.
So, just be aware, the characters do tend to wander a bit. Uh, they're left in some kind of free roaming mode at night.
They wander? They wander! How in the world-
Uh...Something about their servos locking up if they get turned off for too long. Uh, they used to be allowed to walk around during the day too. But then there was The Bite of '87. Yeah. I-It's amazing that the human body can live without the frontal lobe, you know?
''Live without the frontal lobe.'' He mumbled as he felt another shiver run down his spine. Did this guy just say that there was a possibility that his head would be bitten off?!
Uh, now concerning your safety, the only real risk to you as a night watchman here, if any, is the fact that these characters, uh, if they happen to see you after hours probably won't recognize you as a person. They'll p-most likely see you as a metal endoskeleton without its costume on. Now since that's against the rules here at Freddy Fazbear's Pizza, they'll probably try to...forcefully stuff you inside a Freddy Fazbear suit. Um, now, that wouldn't be so bad if the suits themselves weren't filled with crossbeams, wires, and animatronic devices, especially around the facial area. So, you could imagine how having your head forcefully pressed inside one of those could cause a bit of discomfort...and death. Uh, the only parts of you that would likely see the light of day again would be your eyeballs and teeth when they pop out the front of the mask, heh.
They want to force me into a robotic suit! T-they... ''You could have said so to me before I started this job!'' He shouted at the phone.
Y-Yeah, they don't tell you these things when you sign up. But hey, first day should be a breeze. I'll chat with you tomorrow. Uh, check those cameras, and remember to close the doors only if absolutely necessary. Gotta conserve power. Alright, good night.
''Yeah they should have told me so before!'' He once more shouted, he could feel his magic shift nervously beneath his skin. What in the world had he gotten himself into?!
And just after the phone guy had fallen silent he heard a loud crash. He jumped up from his chair, his heart skipping a beat, his eyes wide in horror. His eyes quickly snapped to both doors and before he even knew it himself he had jumped out of his chair and pushed in both of the buttons to close them.
Once back in his chair he felt relief wash over him, at least nothing could get him like this. It was then that his eye fell on the hand monitor on the desk. Shaking hands took the monitor and he placed it in his lap. He turned it on and the first image was of the hallway just outside of his office, it was empty. It was than that he noticed the battery in the corner, no way! Only 89 % left?! No, no, no! He wasn't going to open the door! Even so which door took energy from being closed? No, no time to think about such times.
He quickly shifted to another camera, the one of the main stage. He felt as if an hand tightened itself around his heart, both Bonnie the purple rabbit and Chica the chicken had disappeared. He had hoped that the phone guy had just been trying to scare him, but now...
Merlin quickly flipped through the other cameras and let out an frightened scream as the sudden image of Bonnie appeared on the screen, the purple rabbit was starring straight into the camera, pitch black eyes almost seemed to pierce him, but.. but that animatronic wasn't able to see him... right?
He looked further, at least knowing that the rabbit was not anywhere near his office. Chica he soon found standing in front of the toilets, also not close to his relief.
63 % and he still had five more hours to go! He eyed the doors again, he didn't want to open them, but... he didn't think he had any other choice. He looked once more at the cameras outside, empty, before opening the doors. Merlin pushed the chair to the back of the office, so he could clearly see both doors.
Not much happened the next hour, both Chica and Bonnie moved a couple of times, but stayed away from him. It was then that he noticed that he had missed once camera, pirate cove. He quickly flipped to the camera and his eyes widened seeing a face glaring at the camera. The fox, he now remembered named Foxy, hung out of the curtains, so far that he wouldn't be surprised if the fox would topple over.
He gasped as he heard a loud clang and he quickly shifted once more through the cameras, but as he did so it was clear that he missed one animatronic, Chica, he figured, hoped that she was in the kitchen, which had been completely dark for the whole night.
Freddy himself had moved too, standing in front of the main stage, it was the first time that the bear had moved and somehow it frightened him, why now?
It was then that he heard the sound of metal feet running through the building, it came closer.
His breath hitched as he jumped out of the chair and ran towards the left door, his hand trying to reach for the button to close the door. But he was too late, with a loud scream the metal fox sprang into the office, his jaw wide open and his metal teeth shined dangerously in the dim light.
Merlin stumbled backwards, in the end his back hit the wall. Foxy stepped towards him, his feet hitting the ground loudly and the metal sound echoed through the room. Another loud roar left the animatronic's jaw as he stood mere inches away from Merlin.
The fox was about to attack as Merlin lifted his own arm, feeling his magic jump underneath his skin, he slammed his own fist down, with a bit of help of his magic, onto the fox's snout, sending Foxy to the ground.
The animatronic's body hit the ground hard, several pieces of metal flew from the robot's body. Both stayed frozen for a moment before Foxy turned to look startled up at the warlock.
''Don't you dare bite me, you bad fox!'' Merlin scolded and the words left his lips before he himself even realised it. More feet echoed through the building as the other three animatronics entered the room. They all stared from their fallen friend to the warlock. ''The same goes for you three, no biting or anything like that!''
It was Freddy who didn't seem to agree as he lunged at him with a loud growl. Merlin quickly lifted his hand and his magic send the bear flying and he crashed into the other wall. ''What did I just say?!''
The two other animatronics looked at each other before they threw up their arms in a sign that they gave themselves over. Merlin looked at them and gave them a smile. ''Now would anyone tell me why you are trying to hunt people down?''
Freddy climbed back to his feet and walked so that he stood in front of the rest, the fox had joined the other two, it was clear that the bear was the leader of the group. ''Must... kill... cr-criminals.'' He hissed out. Merlin had to say, those voice boxes could make a lot of sounds.
''You think that I'm a murderer?'' He asked, though a little voice in his head told him that he was one, he had killed many to protect Arthur and later to protect both himself and Aithusa.
The bear's head twitched a little. ''Y-you are, my sensors say so. E-E-Every adult is one... No, not parents... Ye-No...'' He could hear the hesitation in Freddy's voice.
''How do you know if someone is an criminal then?'' He asked carefully, his magic still ready to act if needed.
''We have face recognitionnn.''
He tilted his head slightly to the side. ''Maybe it's broken then as you see everyone as an criminal, because it is impossible that every adult that walks in here is an criminal.''
The animatronics looked at each other and it almost seemed that realisation washed over them, his magic that had spread through the room might have added in them being calmer.
He placed his hands in his waist. ''So can we do this over then? I have to work here, you all live here, we should make the best of it.''
It was 5:30 and Merlin and the animatronics hung out in the office, all sitting in a circle with cards in their hands. He had found a pack of them in one of the drawers of the desk, they seemed to have been never used and he had to say, he wasn't completely surprised by that fact.
But what was more important was what he had felt when he let his magic scan the animatronics, they were far more than that. He didn't completely understand how and what they were, but they were alive. He had first thought that it may be some sciency stuff or something like that, but they were living creatures, with a soul. The only thing he could think of was that they were cursed.
Though that was a question for another night. He remembered the instructions that he got from the phone guy, had no one ever tried to just talk to them? Though his magic may have helped a little too...
He turned to look at the clock, 5:55. ''You guys should go back to your places.''
They all looked at him with a disappointed look. Still they knew what they were supposed to do and they got back to their feet and walked to the door. In the end it was Bonnie who stopped as they reached the door and looked at him. ''Will you be here tomorrow night too?'' It was almost asked with a pleading voice.
He gave them a bright smile. ''Of course.'' With that they seemed satisfied and they walked back to their own spots, he followed them through the monitors.
They were an intriguing mystery and even though they hadn't had the best start was he certain that he would be able to help them, he could feel it in their souls, they seemed to be in pain.
The clock turned 6 and he stood up, making once more sure that everyone was in their right spot before putting on his jacket and walking to the exit. He stepped outside and walked towards the bus stop, still deep in thought. Luckily for him the first bus of the day drove past his bus stop at 6:21.
He only had to wait several minutes for the bus to arrive. He sighed, how was he supposed to help them, he had never encountered something like this, something like them. The bus stopped in front of him and he had to wait a moment to let a man dressed in purple out, before he could step inside himself. He quickly greeted the driver as he bought a ticket and sat down, still deep in thought. He could hear the driver talk to him, something about him being his first costumer of that day, but he didn't really focus on the man.
Next night would definitely be interesting, but now he only longed for his soft and warm bed.
