Gitatina: FRANTICFANNATIC DOES NOT OWN POKEMON!

Arceus: Why is Green QUITTING the Dexdefenders?

Dialga: I don't know boss, you're the one who decided this'll happen.

Palkia: Yeah!

Giratina: Actually it was Frantic who decided on that.

Arceus: OH whatever, just enjoy the chappy!

The next morning was surprisingly quiet, despite the fact it was only a day since they had rescued their friends from the ultimate danger of Team Chrome. The only sounds made during the first meal of the day were the clatters of silverware hitting glass bowls and cups bonking against the table. Between the soft sounds of clanging, the air hung heavy with icy silence. The kind of quietness that makes you turn around, in thought of a being standing behind you.

Aside from the awkward silence our friends were currently displaying, the morning went quite well. Crystal and Diamond made breakfast in the kitchen early that morning. The boy never really woke up so early, but he thought it would be nice to make Platinum a pleasant morning meal. And of course he shocked his friend Pearl and earned a couple of slaps from him.

The group was still getting used to their powers, not being able to remember and accidentally freezing themselves in the shower or grabbing something a little too viciously and breaking it. Those two things happened that morning as well, when Crystal took a shower and when Sapphire picked up a glass…or four.

It was half way through the meal when Green sighed and looked up at the rest of them. He had a look in his eyes, a look of regret. It wasn't really like him to regret something. But right now, he looked as if he had something important to say, and he needed to say it now.

Putting down his fork, Green scanned them thoroughly and said, "I'm sorry, but…I'm quitting the Dexdefenders…"

Now that stunned everyone. Most of them looked at him, their eyes the size of saucers, while others simply cocked their heads to the side in a confused manner.

"You're QUITING!" Red shouted, his spoon falling into his cereal with a small 'PLOP', "Why?"

Green shifted in his seat, "Well…how can I put it…it's just too dangerous. We almost got ourselves killed yesterday."

"But we didn't." Gold informed in a matter-of-fact tone, "That's what counts, am I right?"

"That's not the point! Because being a super hero is a big responsibility, and frankly, none of us are ready to take on such an immense duty." The brunette replied, "Gold, we almost lost you, Red, Ruby, and Platinum yesterday. We tried to kill each other! Did any of you see yourselves after we brought you home, via the bus, did you see what we did to you?"

Gold shook his head.

"I didn't think so. You guys were a bloody, unconscious mess!" Green was really angry now, "And the sad thing is, we did that to you because you four were being irresponsible and stayed behind when the rest of us were leaving. So now there's nothing you can say to me to bring me back in you little group. I don't want risk it. We don't even know what these powers are going to do to us. There's an evil team after us. I'm going back to being a Dexholder! I'm done, goodbye!"

Behind him the door was slammed shut. Green had left the beach house. Everyone inside was still slightly shocked by his sudden outburst. The air was now tense and the spoon clattering had stopped completely. But something in what he said made sense. It was a large responsibility that most of them couldn't handle and it was incredibly dangerous. But then, some of them thought otherwise. They'd been given these powers for a reason and they needed to keep on going, no matter how bad it was to become.

Suddenly, Gold moaned out, "Awww…I needed him for an idea of mine…"

"What kind of idea?" Sapphire asked excitedly.

"You wanna help?"

Sapphire nodded.

"Then come on!"

The two of them ran upstairs as fast as lightning, eager for whatever this bizarre plan was. But, whatever it was they apparently needed spoons, judging on how they left holding what seemed to be their eating utensils.

"Blue…" Red looked at the blue eyed girl who sat in front of his, "I think you should talk to Green…"

"Why?" She asked, her eyebrows furrowed.

"Well…because you devious and sneaky and they only person who can convince him to come back."

"Alright, I'll try."

Professor oak stood in his lab, inspecting a Pidgeot with a magnifying glass. Suddenly the door slammed open and in its place stood a man with red hair and sharp green eyes. He held out a gun and looked at the professor before shouting, "Put your hands where I can see them Professor Oak! Yah-ah-ha-hah-hah!"

Green walked through the crowded streets of Saffron City, his hands in his pockets and his breath visible in the cold air. His pace was slow and sad as he continued to march through the city. It was quite frigid outside, despite the news claiming the warmth summer normally gives.

That's strange, the temperature just keeps dropping, he thought, finding it peculiar to find newly fallen snow in June. But the cold seemed to be affecting him differently than others, it just seemed worse….

Gold held out the blueprint with great pride as both he and Sapphire looked at the ultramarine page in utter astonishment. The turned to see each other's faces and nodded.

Shivering heavily, Green stepped into the nearest store. Getting out a dollar bill, he seized a bottle of water and paid the man at the desk.

"Pretty chilly out, now ain't it?" The man said, holding the money up to the light.

Green nodded and proceeded to open the bottle with his numb, frozen fingers.

"Weird thing being it's the middle of summer, not Christmas eve." He continued to rant, "But look kid, even the impossible can happen sometimes. Heard of those kids, super heroes, saving the gym back down at Cerulean City a few days back. They were amazing. Never before had I seen man fly…or wait…was that a girl, I couldn't really tell. But the moral of this story son is that you shouldn't believe the impossible ain't possible. Understand."

Green nodded, looking at the man who hadn't stopped talking until now. Opening the door, he found himself trudging over piles and mountains of snow. Pretty soon it'd cover up the doors to every house and possibly freeze the entire region to death. Snow fell not as small dots, but soccer balls. Green had to close his eyes to keep the stray flakes from getting in them.

But it all felt heavy on him. When the icy balls hit him, it felt more like being sat on the just being tickled by a feather. Green didn't know what to think. He didn't know why it almost hurt to have snow fall on his face. He just didn't know why.

And before he knew it, his knees buckled below him and his head hit the ground. Green was unconscious.

Silver flipped through the channels on the television, most of them only having to do with the weather and snow fall. Of course he found it odd as well, having all that ice and snow fall in summer. It was quite cold in the beach house because of it. Red, Yellow, and Ruby didn't seem to fare so well in such cold. They shivered harshly and Red and Yellow were snuggling together in a ball. If Blue were there, who knows where the pictures she'd take would end up.

But the girl had gone out to find Green. She was ready to try and convince him to rejoin the Dexdefenders, since he had decided it was just too dangerous to begin with. Silver was worried about her. Basically she was alone, outside, in the cold snow.

The news flickered on the television, and the man on the screen apologized for interrupting the program.

'This is breaking news. Not only is snow falling in June, but a man has been spotted breaking into Professor Oak laboratory. The police are trying to do all they can, but the doors of the station are sealed closed due to the amount of snow outside. Do not leave you home, take your family and huddle near the oven or heater. Do anything just do not leave your house. The temperature had reached nine below zero, you cannot survive out there. St-st-st-stay insi-si-side!'

And with that the entire television turned off, along with all the lights and heaters. The power had gone off. Running up to the door, Silver tried to pry it open, but with no luck. The outside was blocked with snow, making it impossible to open it.

A loud thud came from behind him as he saw Red and Yellow hit the floor, along with Ruby who had previously been on the stair case. Silver shook the olive-eyed girl, trying to see if she was conscious. Nothing. She passed out from the cold. He saw Crystal run upstairs, probably to inform Sapphire and Gold, but when she came back all she did was frown in confusion.

Out of all people, the strongest trainer, the girl who could heal them, and the worthless priss had fallen unconscious.

There must be some kind of connection.

Green woke up only to find his head in someone's lap. A soft hand caressed his hair gently. Looking up, he found someone he just didn't expect. Blue. She looked at him with a face of pure happiness, smiling greatly.

Looking at her, Green exclaimed, "What are you doing here?"

"Looking for you." She replied, pointing at him angrily, "Now if you have nothing better to do, Silver called and said he was trapped inside the beach house with everyone else and that he thinks the man holding Professor Oak hostage has something to do with this."

"Grandpa?" He muttered in question, blinking back his fear, "But I'm can't! I'm not a super hero any more, I'm not fighting! I'm once again normal."

"Green, you're never really going to be normal again…no matter what you're not going to get rid of you power, it's become a part of you." Blue said sympathetically, "I know you really don't want to do this, but come on, you need to try. Please…for me…"

After about two minutes, the boy nodded. Grabbing the side of a building, he hauled himself up and looked around. Snow covered about every entrance and exit to various places. Now he knew what she meant by everyone being stuck inside.

Strangely, Blue had pulled out Green's Super Hero suit and told him to get changed. Of course he was quit confused on how she pulled said costume from nowhere. Apart from the impossible luggage, Green almost willingly entered the outfit, though it wasn't very welcoming itself, being spandex.

The clothing was much colder than his warm coat, but it was the only way to keep himself secret. If someone found out Ground Guy was the same person as Green Oak, it just wouldn't be good. According to everyone else in the world, the two of them were two different people.

Struggling against the icy streets, both Green and Blue made their way towards the laboratory, which was sadly many miles away. And since all the buses were buried under what seemed to be feet of snow, they had to travel on foot.

After the first epic scene change in a while…

The duo crawled through the only accessible window of the lab, just before some snow from the roof fell in front of it, covering their only exit. Now there was no going back, and now they had no choice but to rescue the professor. They found him not to far away, rope tied around his wrists and feet, and tape on his lips.

"Hey you!" They heard, just as they were about to untie him.

Turning around they saw a man. The man wore a red bandana and eye patch. The rest of his body was covered in a white jumpsuit with the initial B on the chest.

"Can I help you, kids?" He asked, cackling a little at the end, "As you can most likely see, I'm a little busy here, so run along."

"Who are you?" Green shouted, "What the heck do you want with gramps-I mean, the professor?"

"Oh, who me? No worries, I'm just friendly ol' Bill." The man, now identified as Bill, explained, "Your little professor there is worthless, it's his ice-type Pokémon!"

"Why do you want ice types?" Blue asked, brushing back some stray hairs from her face.

"To freeze the region, and become its ultimate master! Yah-ah-hah-ha-hah!" Bill laughed in the creepiest of ways, "But maybe I'll let you two youngsters live, and watch…maybe I'll even throw in few coupons for the eventual gift shop."

Green bit his lip angrily, looking at the man. He must have had the ice Pokémon doing something, somehow. And quite obviously he was using them to cause the snowfall. He heard a sharp shout from behind him, and there was his grandfather, now untied, rubbing his face where the tape had once been.

"Green!" He yelled, looking at his disguised grandson, "What do you think you're doing?"

"G-Green?" Blue asked, trying to sound as unfamiliar as possible, "Who's Green, this is…err…Ground Guy."

"Green, what kind of stupid game is this?" Oak asked, putting his hands on his sides, "I thought we threw away all your little dress-up costumes last year."

Green blushed while Blue tried to contain their laughter.

"Listen Professor, I need you to butt out while Liquid Lady and I take care of the insane maniac, 'kay?" He said, trying to sound as not Greenish as possible.

And with that, the battle began.

"Growlithe, Frosslass! I need you!" The man threw two pokeballs towards them, revealing said Pokémon, "Flamethrower, Ice Beam!"

The Growlithe took a deep breath before shooting a string of fire at them. Combined with the Ice beam shot by Frosslass, the now firey, yet icy attack almost collided with the two. Green and Blue dodged the just in time, however it did hit the lab table, setting it on fire.

Professor Oak began panicking and desperately tried to put it out and since all exits were covered by snow, they couldn't get out. The two Pokémon fired another attack, but Green deflected it by pulling a rock from the ground just in time.

He watched them again, as they shot another blast at him. Then it hit him…literally. The attack hit him in the side, leaving a surprisingly numb burn. Grabbing his side, Green noticed their attack pattern. Frosslass attacked only a mere second after Growlith. That's when he got an idea.

He waited for the Growlith to blow another flamethrower at him before quickly turning to Blue and shouting, "Hit it with water…NOW!"

Obeying his orders, Blue blast the flames with a stream of water, smacking into the puppy Pokémon dead on and knocking it back. The Frosslass, this time, prepared a blizzard attack, which was now his cue. Green quickly made a wall between himself and the evil guy. The Blizzard bounced off of it and, when putting the wall down, it froze them and the ice Pokémon in the background that have been causing the snow.

Blue randomly pulled out a pair of hand cuffs and placed them on the man's wrists, "Let's go, you'll have time to defrost in prison." And dragged him away.

Silver looked out the window as the ice quickly began to melt away. He noticed the three unconscious dexholders, were slowly picking themselves up in confusion. The sound of jackhammers and chainsaws rocked the house as Blue and Green entered, Blue bowing.

"Good job, Blue!" Silver congratulated his non-blood sister.

"Thanks, but it wasn't really me." She rejected, pointing towards her companion, "It was Green who came up with the plan."

Green blushed. Suddenly, Gold and Sapphire came running down the staircase, eager to see them. Both of them wore hard hats and yellow jumpsuits, their faces decorated with dirt and dust.

Gold was jumping up and down, "Come on, Green! There's something we need to show you!"

Sapphire grabbed him by the arms and pulled over to the rug by the stairs and pulled it off where a little panel sat. Gold yanking it open and pressed the little red button the appeared from it. The floor opened up revealing another staircase leading further underground.

Everyone followed them in, lights lining the walls. Once the reached yet another door, and opened it, they found themselves in a very lab-like room with a large super computer, various medical supplies; such as syringes and a blood scanner, and a multiple research stuff.

"How'd you pay for this?" Ruby suddenly asked.

Platinum walked in, also wearing a hard hat, "I paid for it."

"And, Green and Super Serious Gal, we want you two to be in control of it."

"You can't be serious!" Green and Crystal shouted at the same time.

"Well yeah since you're-" Gold was cut off by the sound of an angry old man.

Professor Oak walked in, obviously having followed Green, "Green, I want to know what this is about! And I'll have you know I am very angry!"

But with that, when he finished, a kink could be heard and the professor fell over. Behind him stood Pearl holding a frying pan.

"He won't remember a thing."

Dialga: Maybe giving these guys powers was a good idea after all...

Palkia: Yeah!

Arceus: Well of course it was a good idea, I came up with it didn't I?

Palkia: Yeah!

Giratina: Hi Viewers!

Dialga: Lucky Green, he got the Arceusdamned super computer!

Arceus: So did Crys!

Giratina: Calm down brainiac...

Palkia: Yeah!

Arceus: Next time a fire breaks in a pokemon center, what will the Dexdefenders do this time?
