Pearl's Thoughts (He doesn't only think about comedy!)

I ran. And ran…and ran as though I was being chased by a dozen serial killers. I didn't want to be found. Something was wrong with me; really wrong with me. And I didn't know how to fix it. I was dangerous and nobody could save me. Heat radiated off of my skin with a radius of a football field; you could see the heat lines in the air, the distortions. I couldn't take it. I think the heat was getting to my head. Why do I think I'm…a killer? Why do I think I'm dying…?

Good Ol' Pallet Town…

Platinum was brain-dead. Her mind was racing a mile-a-minute when she couldn't really tell what she was thinking about. Sure, she didn't know how to get around Pallet Town that well but who actually needs to. What she needed to do first was talk to Oak; Professor Oak to be exact. And luckily his little lab was in the little town. Isn't everything little there? Maybe the author should be using synonyms for the word 'little' such as 'small' or 'petite' or even 'minute' (Mayh-noot)

Anyway, she and Diamond, who was impressively not eating anything at the moment, entered the lab, not 100% sure on what to say. They couldn't just say, 'Hey, did you know Pearl was really Fire-Dude? Yeah, well you know, he going all, like, nuts right now so just tell us if you've seen him, 'kay, yeah bye.' No, plus nobody would be there to smack him with a frying pan like last time.

The professor noticed them immediately, "Hello kids; how can I help you?"

Platinum and Diamond looked at each other. Platinum nodded and said the following, "Hello Professor Oak, Dia and I were wondering if you've seen Pearl."

The professor shook his head, "No I don't think so, I thought I did but it ended up being that super powered kid who wears the orange…"

"Can you tell us where he went?" Diamond asked hopefully, "He might know…"

"Fuchsia City, but why would he know where your friend is?" Professor Oak asked, cupping his chin in his palm, "The only thing that makes sense is that…"

Diamond and Platinum flinched.

"They know each other!" Oak finished causing the two Sinnoh Dexholders to sigh in relief.

They thanked him and ran out the door.

"Pearl must have changed after he left…" Platinum rubbed her forehead to help her think, "Do you think we should leave this to Silver and friends?"

"No!" Diamond shouted stomping his foot angrily to the ground, "Pearl is my best friend! I don't care if he'll burn me every time we do our comedy routine! I just want him to be okay! You know how Team Chrome is after us! They might catch him!"

Platinum seemed to understand. She nodded in approval. The duo ran behind series of trees to change; Diamond blushed at the thought of him being this close to her while temporarily only in his underpants. He tried not to look…

In the Air with Red and Ruby…

No…still no sign of him…Ruby thought as flew around in circled around Kanto, using his shoes for a speed boost. He flinched when something in his pocket vibrated, but after a few more palpitations it turned out it was only his new Poke-Gear ringing. He sighed and answered it, "Hello, Ruby speaking."

"Ruby!" The voice on the other line said, "It's Crys!"

"Oh hey Crys," Ruby greeted, "What's wrong?"

"We think we've found something," Crystal said in a hurry, "Listen and tell everyone; we did a genetic material scan on Emerald and we found something strange. We did it again on Blue and got the same result; it appears we have Pokémon DNA mixed in with our own. The attacks you use are Pokémon moves. We think that because Pearl is now part Fire-Pokémon, he's absorbed too much energy from the fire and now he can't contain it."

"Okay, what does that mean?" The hatted boy asked in confusion, "He's too powerful?"

"Yeah…and if we don't find him soon he'll die!" Crystal shouted, "We think he's developing the move Overheat. And if I'm right he should be leaving a really obvious trail. Look for things like glass and fog and above all, fire. We're sending Blue out with a pair of heat-seeking goggles that she apparently got from the internet. Good luck."

She hung up. Ruby looked at his Poke-Gear in shock. He was part flying-Pokémon! He was disgusted. Shaking off his astonishment he flew off to find the others.

The Outskirts of Fuchsia City…

Silver took another step before bumping into Gold who just stopped out of nowhere. He stood there, rubbing his chin as if in deep thought.

"Gold!" Silver shouted angrily, "Why'd you stop!"

"Shhh!" The amber-eyed boy attempted to shush him by slapping a hand over his mouth.

Silver pouted, "Guhfld!"(Gold!)

Sapphire slapped the back of his head, trying to get him to be quiet too. Silver was slightly frightened by their actions, mainly because they were the rowdy ones and he was supposed to keep them in check. He let out a muffled sigh.

"What's it?" Sapphire asked in a low whisper.

"Don't you hear it?" Gold questioned, "Someone's screaming!"

Sapphire paused, "Oh yeah! Let's go!"

The two of them ran off, leaving the ginger boy behind in confusion. He blinked and mumbled something under his breath. He saw smoke in the distance and let out a silent gasp. Running after them, he cursed slightly to himself. Reaching the city, he found himself lost in plumes of smoke that arose from the burning city that was known as Fuchsia. Things everywhere were on fire and the smoke made it hard to breathe. Silver coughed a few times.

"Gold!" Silver shouted in between hacks, "Sapphire! Anyone!"

Silver's head hurt now from the lack of oxygen. He slammed one foot down angrily before the other leg unconsciously followed and rings began coming out from under him. The ground looked distorted as they slid across the earth around him. Once they reached the fire it was put out. Silver was astounded by this power he only used recently; back when Gold was hypnotized.

The buildings were scorched with some wood falling off in pieces. Towards the middle of the town was shouting and he saw Gold and Sapphire standing there too. He figured it was a good thing they were smart enough to go in their costumes. Shouting and yelling and screams of pure rage rang all through the circle of Fuchsia residents as they closed in on whatever was in the middle of it. The red-haired teen ran up to them and shoved his way through the crowd, not even apologizing once.

Reaching the center he saw exactly who the townspeople were pissed at. There…in the middle of the pandemonium…was Pearl. His arms were wrapped loosely around his own shoulders, back slouched forward, and his tangerine eyes were wide with fear. His face was chili pepper red and he was conveniently already in his uniform. People were shouting things about how they thought he was a superhero and how he was going to have to pay for everything.

"Sorry…" He muttered quietly before spinning around in a circle, causing fire to follow him, "I'm sorry!"

He jumped out of the circle through an opening the people made while trying to get away from the flames. Silver saw Pearl tiredly run away and stop in front of a store for a second before running again, not even bothering to chase him. He knew he should have but now he and his friends were the blame. Silver put his hands up in defeat as a man pointed a pitchfork to his back. He sighed.

With the CommonerShippers…

Platinum and Diamond saw the angry mob the minute they got into town. The girl told her partner to stay and help Gold, Silver, and Sapphire while she followed Pearl, who left an incredibly visible trail of soot.

However, when she reached a television store the news was playing.

'This is breaking new; hey can you synonymize that for me, I say it every time…this just in…okay; This just in, aside from the series of arsons in Fuchsia City a kidnapping has taken place. The victim's name is Michael Lane, a five year old boy who was recently saved from a fire by the arsonist himself. Police are on their way to Diglett Cave which is where Michael is apparently being held captive. In other news Vermilion Beach is currently covered in glass and fog probably because of intense heat…'

Platinum was frightened. When they said the word 'arsonist' it showed a picture of Pearl dressed as Fire-Dude. They thought Pearl was a murderer. Platinum shook her head. But she luckily knew where he was…

Diglett Cave…

Pearl wandered into the cave silently. By now with every foot step, fire would appear. He felt like he was burning up from the inside out. As the boy crept further into the cavern, the sound of crying got louder and louder. Pearl began to walk faster. He couldn't tell how fast his heart was beating or if it had stopped entirely. The cries got about as audible as they could when he reached a large room like cave with candles surrounding its perimeter.

Pearl walked to the middle. A snicker came from behind his back. He turned around only to find a woman wearing a tight red top and black flared jeans with red hair that was in pigtails on her head, holding Mikey in her death grip, tape covering his mouth. Her eyes glistened crimson against the candle glow. The boy she was holding let out a muffled help.

"Who are you?" The orange eyed boy asked getting into a fighting stance, "What do you want with the boy?"

"Me? Hehehe…" She laughed through her pomegranate red lips, "I'm Pyro."

"Pyro as in fire…" Pearl stated with a face that was actually saying, 'I know what pyro means idiot…'

"That's it, baby," Pyro walked up to him and put a long red-nailed finger to his chin, "And it's not the boy I want, cutie…it's you."

"Why me?"

"My, you ask a lot of questions now don't you, babes?" The ginger grabbed a Poke ball from her belt and through it behind her, "You're hot, both literally and physically, you have super powers, and I know who you are…Pearl…the twelfth Dexholder, second from Sinnoh, a comedian…am I right?"

Pearl's eyes widened. Was it really that obvious?

"How…how did you know that?" He questioned, worried his secret would get out.

Pyro smiled deviously, "Daddy told me…"

"Well your father should mind his own business," Pearl retorted, throwing a punch at her, "And maybe you should too!"

She dodged the punch by ducking and kicked the Poke Ball she threw earlier. A Charizard came out in a flash of red light. She laughed.

"You're the one who set the Pokémon Center on fire!" Pearl shouted irritably, "And now the blames on me!"

"That's right Darling, Charizard," Pyro smirked, "Flamethrower…"

The dragon looked at Pearl and opened its mouth. Fire came spewing at him. The blonde ducked just in time before running to the other side of the room. His fist lit up with flames as he swung a punch at the Charizard. Its head flew back slightly but it shook it off like somebody only tickled it.

"Now use Fire Fang!"

The Flame Pokémon opened its jaw what seemed like two feet as it charged towards Pearl. He closed his eyes and prepared for impact, but his arm automatically punched it again, this time hitting it straight in the tongue. Its eyes widened in pain as it recoiled back to the corner, biting its tongue firmly.

The girl growled, "Grr...Sweetie, why do you have to be so mean? Charizard, use Flare Blitz!"

Pearl's jaw dropped. That would affect everything in the room, including the boy who was now shivering with fear in the corner.

"You can't!" He shouted, "It'll hurt you and the boy too!"

"I don't care!" Pyro spat, "Daddy said I can do whatever I want and I want to use Flare Blitz!"

A shadow casted over Pearl's eyes as anger boiled in him like the water from earlier. His hands rounded into fists and his body overcame an incredibly warm sensation; a feeling hotter than before.

"I! WON'T! LET! YOU! HURT! ANYONE!" He yelled as he finally released the energy that was stuck inside him.

Heat filled the room. Everyone in there began sweating and panting. To a normal person it was unbearable. But to Pearl it felt more like a relief than a burden. The cave began shaking and pebbles fell from the ceiling. Cracks formed in the walls as the temperature rose making Pearl seriously confused.

"What's happening?" He asked shakily running up to the crying boy.

"Isn't it obvious?" Pyro shouted back at him, "The heat is weakening the stone! It's going to collapse!"

His heart, yet again skipped a beat. How many times has that happened today? Anyway, he darted for the passageways. Just as he did however, the entrance fell, leaving Pyro inside. The tunnels were narrow to go through, rocks hitting their heads after every step. Pearl gasped for air which refused to come. One of the walls abruptly broke and buckled in front of them, blocking the only entrance.

Pearl hugged the boy close to him like he saw his mother do earlier, "I'm sorry little guy…"

Much to their surprise, the ceiling stopped mid-way just above their heads. Pearl looked up is confusion (Anybody know any synonyms?) Light burned their eyes as they looked at the bright blue sky. Looking back down at them was Platinum. Blue stood next to her, a pair of overly sized goggles on her face.

"According to these, Pearl's not a walking fire ball anymore," She said happily.

Platinum helped Pearl from the rubble while Blue took the boy from his arms and handed him to his mother. Before she left the boy tugged on her shirt collar, "Liquid Lady…can you tell Fire-Dude that whatever he did in there, it was really cool…"

Blue nodded and patted his head.

"Missy," Pearl said awkwardly, "I just want to say I'm sorry for, you know, snapping at you before, it's just…I was all worked up and I really-"

"Enough said," Platinum interrupted, "Apology accepted…"

Arceus: That was beautiful... *tears*

Giratina: It's not even love, Boss.

Dialga: If it was then HaughtyShipping would come before CommonerShipping in the summery.

Palkia Yeah!

Posco: Sweet laziness...anyway I have a poll up for Pyro's siblings. There are three of them in total: Pyro, *Blank*, and *Blank*. It says in the poll their preferred type, name, and who they'd fight. Okay, thanksies.
