"Over 100?!" I exclaimed, out loud, which made Alice cover her ears.

"Ja, I'm assuming vou ran into that insane Medic of BLU's?" David nodded.

"Well, insane is still kind of an understatement… from what I've heard and experienced before." Alice mumbled from her bed.

"Inhumane? Deranged? Psychotic? Maniacal?" I asked, listing off a bunch of synonyms for "insane."

Alice shrugged, "maybe deranged. I can't think of the term. He's crazier than crazy. Crazier than Flandre Scarlet, and that's saying something!" When I blinked in confusion, Alice dismissed her comment with a wave of her hand.

"He's more insane than our own Medics." She corrected herself.

"Hey, just remember it was me vho fixed vour leg." The second Medic turned from working on Niko, holding a needle.

"And I'm grateful for it, really I am," Alice quickly mentioned, shivering at the needle.

The Medic smiled and turned back to Niko.

"Never make enemies with Medics." Alice whispered to me.

Some time passed and I wanted to talk to Alice some more before I had to go back to my bed.

"Hey so Alice, what did happen in that battle we were in, and how long was I out for?" I asked.

"Um…" Alice looked around to check if the Medics couldn't overhear her,

"We're not supposed to talk about past battles, but I'll tell you anyway. After you passed out, a couple Medics rushed to you, leaving our defense wide open. It was a disaster. Dead bodies were everywhere, and the worst thing was that BLU's Scouts captured the intel, and one threatened me with a butterfly knife! Scouts don't even have those weapons! They're restricted to Spy use after one of our Scouts nearly cut his finger off playing with one."

"Zat fight vas 3 days ago." David spoke up from the other side of the room as Alice covered her mouth.

"You heard me?"

"Vell, vou veren't exactly quiet."

3 days ago… If David told me today was Saturday, then that means the battle occurred on a Wednesday. Aya, Niko and I had left for our mission shortly after the battle… but it was early morning when we came back.

"I was unconscious for 3 days?!" I exclaimed, standing up so fast, I grew dizzy.

Alice nodded. "Everyone was freaking out because we lost three of our Scouts and five of our Medics. We lost every battle on Thursday and Friday." She held out her hands and sighed.

We remained silent until a Medic exclaimed,

"Ve did eet kamerad!"

Alice and I looked over at the two Medics.

"What happened?"

"Herr Scout has Pneumonia."

My jaw dropped. Pneumonia?!

"But how?" I whispered, loud enough for Alice to hear me.

"I'm assuming the syringes had something to do with it," Alice pointed to the table.

"Fräulein Scout ees right. Spritzes have the Pneumonia virus in zhem." Our second Medic nodded and held up a syringe.

"Shouldn't you… dispose of those things before they drip onto us?" Alice asked, twitching one eye.

The Medic looked at the syringes on the table. He pushed the table over to a trash bin with a biohazard sign on it and dumped the syringes into it.

We were silent until the infirmary door opened. Amazingly it wasn't forcefully opened like it usually was.

"How is everyone doing?" A female voice spoke up from the door, "huh, Adrian's not in her bed?"

Aya walked across the infirmary, shuddering at Niko's body and arrived at Alice's bed.

"Oh. You're with Alice. Glad you're awake…" Aya didn't even make eye contact with me as she spun around and started walking towards the door.

I looked at Alice, who nodded.

"Aya, wait."

Aya stopped in her tracks as I got up from my spot on Alice's bed. Grabbing my IV, I made my way to the black haired Scout and placed my free hand on her shoulder. Aya tried to shrug it away, but didn't really have the energy for it.

"What is it? I'm busy. I have articles to write." Aya's voice cracked as she turned to me.

"Aya… I'm sorry for yelling at you." Tears welled up my eyes. "I was always so mean to you. Even when I arrived here at 2fort, I always gave you the cold shoulder…" I couldn't finish my sentence. Tears were running down my face.

Aya looked longingly into my eyes and then pulled out her camera and snapped a picture of me crying.

"The hell?" I rubbed my eyes after the flash blinded me.

"Wow, I never knew you were so sensitive, Adrian! Crying over an apology like that, honestly." Aya started laughing and fell on the floor, which made the Medics look over in concern.

"She's laughing." Alice told them, cracking a smile herself.

I sighed, "Aya Shameimaru, what am I going to do with you?"

Some time had passed and I was still in the infirmary. It had been a week already and by that time, the RED team lost every single battle. Then one day…

"Oi, mates, you better heal quickly. The Soldiers are giving us a mouthful," A Sniper had retreated to the infirmary where he could be away from the Soldiers and their lectures.

"I agree." A Spy uncloaked in front of us and lit a cigarette. "Zhey're really getting on my nerves…"

"Vell, on ze bright side, this one can leave." David spoke up from the other side of the room pointing to me. Apparently he and the other three Medics were playing a game of Risk.

"Teufel noch mal! Herr Medic took North America!" One of the other Medics yelled out loud, flipping the board sending little plastic armies flying everywhere.

"I win, zat was all I needed." A third Medic laughed, picking up a piece from the floor and putting it back in the box.

David sighed and walked over to the Spy, taking his cigarette and extinguishing it, "I told vou no smoking in here."

No one said anything until the Sniper spoke up, "Oi, mate, who took Australia?"

David pointed to the fourth Medic, who waved while the Sniper sighed.

"Shouldn't you be, oh I don't know, WORKING instead of playing games?" Alice's sarcastic voice rose from behind a curtain.

"Ja, ve've been vorking. Look at herr Scout."

Alice pulled back her curtain and I turned my head to look a Niko's body. Stitches were now closing Niko's wounds. IV cords were hanging out of various places on his arms.

"How's he doing?"

"Herr Scout ees doing vell. His Pneumonia vas very mild. Ve had some issues vith his fever, but that seems to have gone down."

I sighed with relief as David returned to the table of Medics, who were now trying to find all the Risk pieces.

"Dummkopf! These vill take forever to find," one of the Medics yelled as he searched under the table for plastic armies.

I rolled my eyes and got out of my bed, "I'll help you guys look…"

As soon as I got up, I fell over. So much for that.

"Oi, you alright, Shelia?" The Sniper looked at me and walked over to help me up.

This was the first chance I had to look at the Sniper. A small scar ran across his left cheek. He felt very familiar, but I couldn't think of it. As soon as he held out his hand, I yelled,

"MR. SNIPES!" That was it, he was the Sniper who got backstabbed in my first battle by Blu's Spy.

Mr. Snipes pulled me to my feet. "You know, Shelia, you can call me by my real name."

When I looked confused, Mr. Snipes sighed. "I never told you it? Very well, it's-"

"Cooper." The Spy in the back finished, lighting up another cigarette, and trying not to laugh.

Cooper rolled his eyes. "Look who's talking, Basile, you're named after a freaking herb!" Cooper laughed as Basile pulled out his butterfly knife.

"I will gut you like a Cornish Game Hen." Basile threatened Cooper as the Sniper pulled out his machete.

"Let's have a go then, mate." Cooper snarled.

The two started clashing their melee weapons while the Medics were busy, still looking for the Risk pieces. As the Spy and Sniper were sparring, the infirmary door opened and a rather drunk Demoman came staggering into the room.

"Aye, da' any of ya have a bottle of scrumpy?"

Zing. Basile's knife went flying and landed straight in the middle of the Demo's eye patch, covering his missing eye. I was the only one who noticed this since Cooper had Basile pinned to the sink counter with his machete dangerously close to Basile's neck.

"Looks like I win." Cooper smirked and let go of Basile's body. Basile crumpled to the floor.

"You could of killed me, you idiot." Basile stood up and dusted his pinstriped suit off.

"Assuming that wasn't the plan." Cooper retorted, sheathing his machete.

"Both of ya are loonies!" The Demo yelled, pulling Basile's knife out of his missing eye and staring at the Sniper and Spy. "That could o' hurt somebody."

Both men were about to start arguing when a voice rang out, "the enemy has taken our intelligence."
