I wrote this for HollyPotter28's 'Run' Challenge. I hope you enjoy it. Reviews would be nice :')

It seemed to be a completely typical evening.

Lily curled up on James's lap, her beautiful baby boy on her lap. Harry had her eyes – it'd only taken them a couple of hours to change from blue after he was born – but his father's facial features and hair. Harry seemed to be squinting at her face, his green eyes wrinkling slightly in concentration.

"Love, do you think Harry needs glasses?" Lily asked, glancing from her son to the fire blazing in the fireplace to her husband.

"Maybe we could get him checked out. I could ask Dumbledore for my Invisibility Cloak…" James's voice trailed away at the frightened look on Lily's face.

"James, no. Every second outside is dangerous."

James groaned and pressed his lips to Lily's red hair. "I feel so trapped in here. Why couldn't he have just been born in August?"

Lily pulled Harry tighter into her arms and stroked his wild hair slowly. "It wasn't his fault."

"I know," James whispered, hugging his family.

They stayed like that for several minutes until Harry began squirming.

"Mummy, Daddy, wook!" Harry gurgled, pointing to the living room window.

James and Lily looked where he was pointing. A dark figure was standing behind their gate, undoing the latch. James's and Lily's smiles ever so slowly trickled off of their faces.

"Oh God, James, what do we do?" Lily sobbed.

James kissed her for a brief second before whispering urgently into her ear, "I'll hold him off."

"But James!" Lily protested.

James looked her in the eye, the hazel orbs in his own blazing with determination. "Run."
