The word 'fair' can mean many things - fair of face, fair of hair, a fair heart, a fair hand. In a high stakes game however, how will the players play? Meet the Architect, the Diplomat, the Adviser, the Demon, the Joker, the Boss, and other intricate characters involved in a game where rules do not apply in high society.

2. The Diplomat

The honoured guests were beginning to arrive. One by one the limousines rolled to a stop on the crunchy gravel. The doors whisked open by the attendee. Select media snapped quick shots.

Next, an elegantly lady in red stepped onto the black carpet rolled out at her feet.

She was the Youkai Ambassadors' daughter, Sango Taijiya. She was beautiful, graceful, dangerous and well-educated. She was also human; the first of three such humans to be invited to an all-youkai Gala. However, unlike many of the guests, her goal was business relations – not social standings.

The cameras flashed.

She walked inside.
