Hey! I know it has been a very long time. I was busy in school and doing many other types of writing, but I can't leave a story unfinished! I am not sure how many people are still reading this but I will keep posting more chapters the next few weeks/ months. Sorry, this chapter is still more introduction, but I promise I will have a lot more happen soon. I am half done Chapter 4 and should have it up in a few days or less. I hope you enjoy!
Manor - Late Afternoon
"So how are we supposed to fight off some of the worst evil we have ever come up against like this?" Piper pointed to her second youngest sister. Phoebe's head was resting on her hand as she eyed Chris from across the room. Her eyes rolled.
What is Andy going to think of all of this?
Thankfully the inspector was busy glancing around the living room taking in all of the memories that dwelled there.
"Leo only gave you these powers because they suit you. Each one is catered to parts of your personality strengths". Chris' eyes followed Piper's to see Paige playing with war weaponry.
"Paige, you need to focus."
"Oh, I'm focused. I can't wait to get out there and kick some demonic butt!"
"Titan butts" Phoebe corrected. "I bet they're sexy butts though!"
"Phoebe!" Piper yelled. Andy's jaw tightened.
"Girls, can we please try to pull it together here? We have bigger things to deal with". Chris' arms crossed over his chest assertively.
"Nothing is more important than Leo coming down to see his son" Piper retorted. "We need Leo".
Andy's head whipped quickly away from the picture of young Prue playing the piano. "... You have a son?"
A smile crept its way along Piper's face.
Piper's Room
The inspector gazed down at the blonde haired infant sleeping in the basinet.
"Wow, Piper … amazing" Andy smiled down. "And he's blonde?"
"He gets that from his Dad". Piper's smiled faded. Andy began piecing everything together.
"I don't know much about this guy, but everyone here seems to think very highly of him ... Including you".
"I just don't understand why he can't be here right now. Or at all lately it seems". Tears began to develop in Piper's eyes prompting Andy to engulf her in a tight hug.
Piper had forgotten how safe Andy used to make her feel. While he was Prue's high school sweetheart, he was also a big brother for her and Phoebe. He was always keeping an eye on the two of them. One day he was the one who found her upset after Mitsy was making fun of her jeans. She had never been the coolest teenager.
"Don't worry too much. He isn't Victor". Andy had been there the day Victor left and was part of the aftermath all of those years.
Wyatt woke from the sound of his mother's tears. His wide blue eyes began to survey the room. Small tears began to form in his eyes, sensing his mother's pain.
"May I?" Andy questioned.
"Of course!" Piper wiped away a tear with the back of her knuckle and watched the brave man from the past reach in and lift her son out of the basinet. Not that she was surprised, but his shield did not come up at all.
Valhalla certainly had changed the inspector. His face was hardened, along with his muscles. He hadn't aged a day since she had seen him last, but his expressions were different. Piper missed Prue every day but couldn't imagine what Andy was feeling. She was in agony from her current situation with Leo which couldn't compare.
A smile took over Andy's face as he balanced Wyatt on his hip and grabbed his blanket from the basinet. "Here bud, your Mom's right here".
Andy tilted his body so Wyatt could see Piper. Her thoughts went back to Prue.
"Have you seen her?" Piper's voice cracked as she tried to fight off more tears.
Andy's smile faded. "No."
"All of these years … I always thought you were with her" Piper grabbed a soother from the dresser and handed it to Andy. He gently placed it in Wyatt's mouth.
"When I was sent to Valhalla I thought I would get to see you three again. Now … I have to stay until I am no longer needed there."
Still waking up, Wyatt's head fell into Andy's chest.
"I guess we need to finish this for both of us". Piper sighed.
Heavens
Chris orbed into the clouded wasteland behind a pillar. He turned to see two of the Titans searching for Leo. Closing his eyes, he sensed Leo and orbed directly beside him.
"Someone orbed" A deep voice boomed.
"What are you doing here?" Leo seethed. "And what are you doing taking warriors from Valhalla?"
"Piper needs you" Chris responded. "And you know he can help the girls through this transition."
Leo's eyes tightened.
"Go! I will distract them".
Leo orbed quickly as Chris spun around from the pillar.
"Hey! Over here!" He waved to the Titans before orbing off to begin the chase.
Piper's Room:
Andy entered the room and handed a bottle to Piper. She promptly placed it in her son's mouth, propping him on her hip.
He couldn't help but stare at the completely changed woman in front of him. Piper had always been the quiet, neutral sister. There was so much anger, pain and harshness to her now. But with her son, he could tell the loving woman still remained. She was just hardened.
Blue light filled the room and to reveal a man with sand coloured hair dressed in a gold robe. Andy did a double-take. He had seen this man before.
"Leo, you're here" Piper sighed, sliding closer to him.
"Yes, but I can't stay Piper. We have to talk about the Titans".
"You need to hold your son first." She quipped.
Andy's eyes made their way back to Leo. His brow quirked up as he studied him. There was something familiar about him.
Then, it hit him. He had met the man once before, although not when he was alive still. He was instantly brought back to the unforgettable moment.
"Trudeau!"
Andy's head turned towards the sound of his voice. He and a fellow warrior, Eric, were in the middle of practising on the beach.
"There is someone here to see you."
Eric dropped his sword to the ground, prompting Andy to turn to him. Eric's faced paled and his lips were tightly closed.
"That's a whitelighter". He spoke softly, causing Andy's heart to stop. Knowing the different members of their world was an important part of their training. There was only one reason there could be a whitelighter there to see him. He only knew three witches, and only one of those witches could be the reason for this visit.
This man's cheeks were red and chapped under his swollen eyes. He was not here with a message from the Elders. This was a message for Andy.
"I'm sorry" He choked on his own words. "I lost her …"
