Thanks for reading and the reviews! I love reading them. I figured since I was late with the last chapter I would do two this weekend. I hope you enjoy :)
"You have to go now" Prue told Andy. "It's not safe for you here".
"And what about you, Prue?" Andy knew the eldest Halliwell frequently forgot about her own well being.
"They can't hurt me" she smiled, kissing his cheek. "Now go."
"It seemed like they were more interested in you than me." Andy's brow furrowed, looking down at the stubborn witch.
"Well that doesn't make sense."
"Prue, you're still a Charmed one." Andy smiled. "And a powerful one at that. Not many can astral project between planes of existence".
"Oh, look at you. Mr. Magical now" Prue laughed. She enjoyed seeing this side of Andy.
"We have to learn all about you magical folk".
"I hate to break it to you, but you're one of us now too". Prue captured Andy's lips and their kiss began to intensify when they heard a loud bang coming from downstairs.
"He's back" Prue whispered, making her way to the door.
"Where are you going?"
"He's in the house … even if he's in another plane. He's trying to hurt my sisters".
"Prue, you don't know that. I think he's after you".
"Well, let's get him before he has a chance" she nodded, making her way down the attic stairs. Andy sighed and followed after her.
Prue tip-toed along the wall towards the stairs to the main level. The noises were coming from down there. Andy followed quietly behind her.
When they got to the stairs the demon could be seen clutching a red crystal in his hand. He was wandering and the main floor. In certain spots, the crystal would fade in colour and in others it would get stronger. He was using it to track someone in the house.
He closed his eyes and began to chant a spell that Andy had heard before.
"He's trying to summon others" he warned Prue. A cloud portal opened up in the centre of the room and Prue decided to act quickly. She flicked her wrist and sent the demon flying before he could finish the spell. The cloud disappeared and the demon landed across the room, near where Prue had gone through the wall two years ago.
Prue ran to grab the crystal, taking two steps at a time. The demon noticed and began to conjure an energy ball. She stopped in her tracks and stared him right in the eyes.
"Who are you looking for?" her voice was filled with aggression and demand.
He stayed silent, keeping his eyes on the crystal. Prue looked at Andy and he nodded. Within seconds, it happened all at once. The demon shimmered out and Prue began to run closer to the crystal. The demon appeared right over top of the crystal and Prue jumped off of her feet on to him, pushing him to the ground and away from the crystal.
Andy ran down the stairs towards them. Prue was holding the demon against the floor using her powers. Andy grabbed the crystal and placed it in his pocket. The demon on the floor slowly began to move under Prue's magical grip and grabbed her leg, slamming her against the floor.
Andy's heart pounded in his chest, he closed his eyes and an athame appeared in his right hand. He hurled it towards the demon, prompting a forcefield to surround him.
"You won't get me that easily" the demon smiled before shimmering away.
Prue picked herself up off the floor, looking around the room.
"Think he's gone?"
"For now…"
"I don't like that forcefield". Prue bit her bottom lip. She had never seen a demon with a forcefield before.
"Me either".
"Go back to my sisters and bring me the ingredients to make a power stripping potion" Prue whispered, leaning in for one last kiss. "Something tells me he's not your average demon".
Andy nodded. They heard another crash from upstairs and a different man came barreling down the stairs, looking shocked to see them there. This man was another darklighter, crossbow in hand.
"Andy, orb! It's faster" Prue commanded. Andy was surprised at how much Prue knew of his powers. She must have been looking on more than he thought.
"Promise me you'll go somewhere safe" Andy's face was desperate.
The darklighter pulled the trigger and the arrow began it's journey.
Prue nodded as she watched him orb away to safety. She sent the darklighter flying and ducked behind the wall for cover. She closed her eyes and tried to astral project back to the afterlife but nothing happened.
She opened an eye and realised that she was still in the Manor.
"Prue Halliwell?!" The darklighter called out. Were they really after her? It didn't make sense.
She closed her eyes and she tried to astral project once again, hoping it would work.
Manor - Present Day and Plane
Andy orbed into the living room, causing Phoebe to let out a loud shriek.
"Andrew Trudeau!" She yelped, covering her heart. "You orb!?"
Chris rushed into the room after hearing his aunt's shriek. "You guys haven't run into Valhalla warriors before, have you?"
"Uh… duh!" Paige rolled her eyes and the young man.
"They are the good side's soldiers so to speak. They're angelic beings, so they can orb … yes."
Phoebe raised an eyebrow at the inspector. "Anything else?"
"Just conjuring" Andy answered sheepishly. He was always told to keep his powers quiet. "We can conjure weapons needed to fight evil that way".
"Well then …" Phoebe smiled back at him. She tried sensing emotion off of him, but couldn't read anything. The power certainly wasn't working for her yet. "Where have you been?"
She studied him up and down. His short strands of brown hair were sticking up in a few places.
"I needed a walk". He responded. His fingers made their way to his pocket and he ran them along the necklace. Being back at the Manor didn't seem painful anymore now that he had seen Prue.
Nursery
Piper leaned over Wyatt's crib, making sure he was still sleeping well. His fingers twitched slightly in his slumber, causing her to smile. She looked around the room. It seemed empty without Leo's clothes. It even smelled less like him.
She made her way towards the door and noticed a black zip-up hoodie laying on their dresser. She quickly recognized it as Chris'. It was far too young for Leo and definitely not his style.
She picked it up delicately, but a green necklace fell to the ground. It was wound around a brown leather string and looked well worn. She gazed at it, raising an eyebrow. It almost seemed magical.
She heard the buzzer from the stove go off and quickly placed the necklace in her pocket before making her way down the stairs.
"Andy, hi" she beamed at him on her way to the kitchen. Andy hesitantly waved a hello at her. He had never undone a spell before … let alone from an Elder.
"Excuse me a second" he said quietly, leaving Paige and Phoebe with Chris.
"Okay, he's acting very funny" Phoebe put a finger on her lip, wondering what he could be up to.
Kitchen
Piper had just placed the warm muffin tin on a wooden plank and was taking each muffin out one at a time to put on the cooling rack.
"You'll have to wait a minute for them to cool" she chirped, making her way to the fridge. "Milk?"
"... No thanks". Andy couldn't get used to the chipper Piper. It was unnerving seeing someone he used to know so well taken over by the spell. "Piper, I think we should talk about what happened up there".
"Nothing happened" Piper flashed him a smile. "Leo and I talked. We decided it was best if he stayed up there. For his career and all."
"His career." Andy's fist clenched. He knew that this wasn't his Piper. He had to remember that. "Piper, do you remember how you got back here?"
"Leo must have brought me" she responded. Andy saw some hesitation. She was beginning to question it slightly.
"No, he didn't … I need you to remember Piper" Andy moved a little closer to her, making sure he could try to read the emotions on her face. Years of working on the force gave him great advantages there. Right now, she just seemed blank.
"Why would you need me to remember that?" Piper placed the muffin tin in the sink to be washed. She reached for the dish scrubber.
"Piper, I need you to look at me" Andy commanded softly. "I think Chris is right. There is something more powerful than the Titans going on".
"That's silly. Leo said everything is fine".
"No Piper, Chris wouldn't need me if not". Andy couldn't mention the darklighter and demon from the ghostly plane. Not until he brought her back. "You have to know that's true".
He searched into her eyes for any depth of emotion again. Nothing.
"Maybe he thought it would be a nice visit" she grinned from ear to ear.
"No Piper." Andy's hand made it's way behind his neck again. "If I could visit, don't you think I would have to see Prue?"
That was it. Andy saw the pain stab in to her eyes. He found the trigger. Leo hadn't blocked enough of her pain for Prue. He had focused most of the spell on their separation.
"Andy"! Paige called from the dining room. He looked over to Piper who was leaning against the island, collecting her thoughts. He gave her a soft smile before running out of the room.
He flew into the dining room to see the demon from the ghostly plane along with another darklighter standing at the bottom of the stairs. The demon was holding Phoebe against his chest, an athame pressed against her neck. Paige and Chris stood directly in the line of fire.
"Andy, go get Wyatt" Phoebe growled under her breath. Andy took a moment to assess the situation. He closed his eyes, conjuring the demon's athame into his right hand. Paige let out a gasp.
The darklighter reacted quickly and sent an arrow spiralling towards the youngest Charmed One. Chris pounced on his Aunt, dissolving them both into orbs and to safety.
"Andy!" Phoebe yelled as the demon threw her to the ground and made his way toward the inspector. Andy blocked the demon's punch and kept a tight grip on the athame.
Footsteps could be heard above. Chris and Paige had Wyatt, which made Andy breathe a sigh of relief. The darklighter heard the footsteps as well and made his way towards the stairs. Phoebe was quick and stopped his advances with a roundhouse kick.
Kitchen
Piper heard the commotion and was about to run in to see what was going on. Just as she was about to walk to the end of the island, she could feel it again. Prue was nearby. She knew it. Her sister's presence was something that she had always been able to feel. Even when Prue had been banished to another plane with one of the Four Horsemen, Piper could feel her sister.
She paced around the room, trying to find the source of the presence. "Prue?"
A loud crash came from the dining room followed by a man's scream. "Andy?" Piper's head whipped towards the noise. She ran into the dining room to reveal Andy laying in a heap of wood that used to be a bookshelf. An arrow was piercing through his chest.
Her eyes wandered over to the two strange men. One was holding a darklighter crossbow.
"Piper, blow them up!" Phoebe yelled. Andy grimaced in pain as he tried to lift himself up off of the ground. His strength gave out and he fell back against the pile of wood.
Piper was frozen. Her thoughts blurred over. She knew she should be doing something, but couldn't think of what.
Seconds later, two women and a tall red-headed man appeared in a green flash. The women were wearing brown leather tops with green pendants identical to the one that fell out of Chris' sweater. The man closed his eyes and conjured a large sword that was glowing blue. The demon and whitelighter exchanged worried glances before orbing and shimmering away.
"Andrew…" The blonde haired woman fell to her knees and examined his wound. "What were you thinking."
"I wanted to … help" Andy replied through shallow breaths. He cringed as she moved the arrow to look at where it was piercing through.
"You should have told us where he was sooner, Eric". Mist seethed. Her eyes were daggers on the poor man.
The redhead stayed silent and still. He held his chest out. He was incredibly muscular like Andy but with several inches of height added. He instantly grabbed her sister's attention.
"We have to get him to our healer" the second woman said, holding her hand out.
"We have a healer". Phoebe added. She didn't want these women to take Andy back … Not yet.
"Chris can't heal" Andy tossed them a smile before nodding to the women. A stray tear fell down Phoebe's cheek.
"What about the big evil" she asked. Piper remained frozen.
"You need a power stripping potion" Andy suggested. "Something tells me after seeing those guys that I won't be gone long. More trouble is coming".
Andy let out a tight cough, his breath became more ragged. Piper could feel Prue's presence again. She was here, watching Andy and them.
Chris and Paige orbed into the room just as Andy and the three visitors disappeared into a green flash.
"Wyatt's safe … I thought they could orb?" Paige asked.
"Warriors can. Valkyries use the green flash" Chris explained, running a hand through his short brown hair before letting out a defeated sigh. "We have a lot more trouble though."
"Why?"
"I know one of those demons …" Chris recognized him as one of Wyatt's main assassins. If he was here, that meant that Wyatt knew what he was trying to do.
"So he's from the future?" Paige's mouth dropped. "No wonder he was able to kick our butts".
Piper noticed that Prue's presence disappeared with Andy. She closed her eyes, hoping to feel her nearby.
"To the book!" Phoebe made her way up the stairs with Paige trailing behind.
"How's that going to help?" Chris sighed.
"We'll find out!" She responded. He dragged his feet all the way to the stairs and took them one at a time, slowly.
Piper was left alone in the living room with her thoughts, numbness and brain fog. She pulled out the green pendant. If Prue had followed them, this pendant could bring her there. Without hesitation, she pulled the pendant out and pulled it down on to her neck.
Within seconds she was suddenly wearing her own brown leather t-shirt and pants. She tilted her head to the side, admiring her new outfit. A green flash filled the room and she disappeared along with it.
