Thank you again for the great reviews. I hope to have the next chapter out in a few days or less. Mony19, I'm glad you liked that addition! I love their relationship. , thanks for reading!
Author's Note: There is no Magic School in this story, so that creates a few changes. There is a lot of switching between the Ghostly and Physical plane in this chapter. I hope I wrote it so it isn't too confusing. I promise that will be gone soon. I hope you enjoy!
Andy laid sprawled out on the sandy ground, propped up against the walls of the bamboo hut. His breaths were becoming further and further apart. He had never experienced darklighter poison before. It certainly was a lot slower and much more painful than an energy ball to the chest.
He let out a painful groan and closed his eyes. When he opened them he was on the ghostly plane, still in Valhalla.
Prue was right by his side, her hand gently caressing his cheek.
"Hang in there" she smiled, letting a kiss fall to his lips. "You can't leave here yet. I just found you".
Andy managed to flash his grin at her. "I'd find you again".
When he opened his eyes he was back in the normal plane, Gideon the Elder was holding his healing hands above his chest.
The pain from where the arrow pierced through his chest went away quickly, but he could feel the poison take its time to exit his body. The burning sensation disappeared from his hands first, making its way up his arms and legs before finally disappearing entirely.
"Thanks" he managed to say through a hoarse whisper.
"You're welcome" Gideon replied softly. Gideon was an Elder in charge of watching over the warriors of Valhalla. "Perhaps we should discuss what you were doing there".
"The Charmed Ones needed me".
"The Charmed Ones are capable of handling their own situations". Gideon had already sent out spies to see what Chris' intentions were for coming from the future. Andy nodded. He knew when to play the good soldier.
"I understand".
Gideon raised an eyebrow at Andy and turned on his heel. "Keep up the great work, Trudeau".
With that, he was gone. Andy had never been fond of the Elder's level of strictness. He was already anxious to get back to Prue in the ghostly plane. He knew she was still nearby. He could still feel her. It was an exhilarating feeling. It caused his heart to flutter. It was a feeling he hadn't experience in a long time.
Eric entered the bamboo hut moments after Gideon left.
"Thanks for covering for me". Andy smiled at his friend. The Warriors were able to sense where their fellow beings were and he and Eric had the strongest connection. They had been paired together for training. This made them almost as close as he and Darryl.
"Any time" Eric nodded. He noticed that his training partner was different. Andy had a smile across his face that Eric had never seen before.
Attic
Phoebe and Paige stood in front of the book, flipping through the pages.
"You won't find anything in there on him" Chris sighed.
"No, but Andy said we will need a power stripping potion and I believe that."
"Plus, he's working with a darklighter so he must be after Wyatt" Paige added, thankful that he was safe with Leo right now.
"... Or you". Phoebe raised an eyebrow at her sister. Chris couldn't help but roll his eyes at how worried they were about Wyatt when he was in the safest place possible.
Blue orbs filled the room and Leo appeared holding Wyatt. Wyatt was wearing an all blue jumper and holding a bottle. Leo's brow was furrowed.
"What happened?"
"What do you mean?" Paige asked, inching closer to her brother in law.
"Piper's missing. I can't sense her anywhere."
"What?!" Both sisters said at the same time.
"No, we just saw her downstairs" Phoebe raised a hand to her chest. The stress in the room from everyone was a little overwhelming.
Chris closed his eyes in an attempt to sense her.
Nothing. Leo was right.
"Is she?..." Paige couldn't finish her question.
"No". Leo said firmly.
"I would feel if she was gone" Phoebe nodded in agreement. She noticed a small bit of jealousy radiate off of Paige at her comment. Phoebe knew Paige still felt insecure, but didn't always realize how much the little comments could hurt her sister.
"Unlike someone… Really, Chris? How could you let this happen". Leo's eyes were daggers on the young man. Chris dipped his head slightly. Phoebe could feel a lot of anger coming off of the two men.
Valhalla - Ghostly Plane
Prue and Andy were sprawled out on the cot that Andy had been sleeping on for many years. Their legs were intertwined and Andy was holding Prue tightly.
"It's nice seeing where you've been these last few years" she whispered into his neck. He ran his fingers up and down along her bare arm.
"It's much more fun with you here" he grinned, capturing her lips.
"I'm certainly not leaving your side any time soon. You get into trouble easily" Prue chuckled, leaning her head against his chest. "And it doesn't seem that I can go back up there so I may as well be with you".
"What do you mean?"
"I can't seem to get back up there anymore. I'm stuck here for now, but at least you're here sometimes". Andy bit his lower lip. Prue's soul shouldn't be stuck in the ghostly plane. He was worried but couldn't let her know yet.
One Month Later
Valhalla
Andy woke up that morning to begin his usual routine. He had only been back in bed for an hour or two. He had spent the night visiting Prue, just as he had every night since they met back up. He always made sure to come back to this plane before his roommate, Eric, woke up.
He sat up on the cot and took an extra moment to enjoy the feeling from the first stretch of the morning. Raking one hand through his short brown hair, his eyes observed the room.
One cot was empty as per usual. He grabbed a pair of jeans and his top, dressing quietly. As he was pulling a black t-shirt over his head, he heard the sound of a door creaking open in the next cabin.
There was only ever two people awake this early. Andy and Eric would train on the beach every morning. Eric lost his wife in children long ago and needed the morning distraction as well. It was a silent bond between the two men. Andy no longer needed to distract his mind, but his friend needed him. He also couldn't let him know what was going on. There was no way Gideon would allow it.
Andy crept to the door, opening it as quietly as possible. To the right he could see the bushes moving. There was no wind in the air. Closing the door slowly, he wandered into the moving bushes.
He moved briskly through the bushes. His eyes darted back and forth to see who else was awake this early. After a moment he caught up and saw one of their guards open the door to a small hut. The guard looked around to see if anyone was nearby and Andy quickly leaned in towards the bush beside him.
He waited a few seconds before tiptoeing towards the small hut.
"How is he adjusting?" An unknown voice asked.
"You can't keep me here!"
"What do you think? That seems to be one of the few sentences he says." Andy recognized that coarse voice as one of the main guards who opened the door. He began to go to the back of the hut to try and get a glimpse of the new warrior.
"You're late". Eric's deep voice whispered behind Andy. He turned to see the tall red head staring at him impatiently.
Andy's index finger quickly went to cover his lips. Eric caught on and he bent down to Andy's level.
"Who is that?"
"That's what I'm trying to find out." Andy whispered, pushing two pieces of hut aside to see within. He could see the demon who had attacked him and Prue in the Manor. A balding man was standing on the other side of the cage, interrogating him. Definitely not a new warrior. Gideon approached the demon.
"Let me go!"
Gideon approached the cage with no fear. His jaw clenched, he stared right into his eyes.
"Not until you tell me more about this future evil."
"I have a mission!"
"I know. As do I." Gideon smiled. "It would be impossible for you to be here otherwise".
The demon sighed in defeat. "I was sent here by my Master … that is all I will say."
"Who is your Master?" Gideon rolled his eyes at the demon.
"... He's known as Wyatt Halliwell to you".
Parlour
Paige walked into the room with Wyatt balanced on her hip.
"I don't understand where she could be". Phoebe let out a defeated sigh. Maps of the world, solar system and even her laptop covered the small eating table.
"We'll find her" Paige soothed. "I think Piper doesn't want to be found which isn't helping".
Phoebe lifted a finger to her chin, thinking. Wyatt held his arms out for her to hold him. She couldn't help but smile as she lifted him into her arms. "Don't do anything important without your Mommy".
Valhalla
Andy made up an excuse to miss their training on the beach and left Eric back at the hut. He needed to get to Prue to tell her to get to safety. One of the demons who was after her and her sisters was here on the island. He hid behind a tree and was about to orb away when he noticed Chris orb in a few feet away. The two men looked equally as shocked to see one another.
"What are you doing here" Andy questioned. Whitelighters couldn't orb to Valhalla normally. It was hidden.
"It doesn't matter" Chris responded quickly. "You haven't noticed any visitors that shouldn't be here, have you? Say a short brunette with a temper?"
Andy shook his head, confused. Why would Piper be here?
"No witches … but the demon who attacked us is here. He is being held by Gideon".
Chris bit his lower lip. "No wonder he hasn't attacked since …Has he said anything?"
"Not much". Andy wasn't sure what Chris already knew. He trusted him, but the news had something to do with Prue's nephew and he couldn't put him in harm's way. Future or current him. "Why do you think Piper's here?"
"Her and my Valkyrie pendant are missing. I just noticed and the pieces are coming together".
"Why would you have one of those?" Usually a Valkyrie only parted with her pendant if she passed away.
"I was given it … it's a long story".
Andy eyed the man again. His eyes were honest and true.
"You look for Piper and I'll meet up with you after. She would be with the Valkyries. We don't interact with many of them too often. Only out in the real world".
Chris nodded and made his way towards Mists' hut. Andy couldn't help but notice that Chris seemed to know his way around the island before orbing into the ghostly plane.
When he arrived, he looked around for Prue. Normally they didn't meet until night time. He found her standing on the beach, looking out at the ocean. He walked up behind her quietly and wrapped his arms around her waist.
"This is unexpected" she whispered, closing her eyes as he let several kisses fall to her neck.
"I just found out we have an unwanted visitor on the island". Normally Valhalla was hidden from other magical beings so it was the safest place, but not with a demon focused on killing Prue. "The demon that attacked us before is here".
"Why? That makes no sense".
"The Elder who watches over the island knows he's here from the future and is interrogating him. But I don't trust him not to let him loose now that he got the information he wanted".
"I should go try to warn my sisters … somehow". Andy nodded. She had broken through the planes before to send messages to him. She could do it again. He held her tightly for one more kiss before she astral projected back to the Manor.
Mists' Hut
Chris entered quickly before being seen by anyone. Mist was in the middle of combing through her wooden chest at the base of her bed, admiring the weapons she had collected.
"I was wondering when you'd come".
"Is she here?" Chris had no time for small talk.
"Yes she is. It's nice to see part of your family, Chris". She grinned while making her way closer to him. He remained still. "You're so secretive of that all of the time".
"You'll get to know a lot more about me eventually". Chris flashed her a grin. There was so much history between the two of them. It was so hard for him to act differently around her.
"So you say". She gave him a seductive wink. "She's safe … for now".
"I have to take her back. If she's gone much longer it will affect my timeline."
Mist nodded. "She likes it here though. Life is simple".
"She'll miss that soon, I'm sure".
Manor - Ghostly Plane
Prue traced her finger along the wooden banister as she made her way down the stairs. She enjoyed being in her home, even if it was on another plane. She felt like she was meant to be down here, not up there. Part of her was happy that she couldn't go back up to the afterlife still.
She entered the parlour and found the ouija board laying on the wicker loveseat. Here goes nothing. She thought.
Parlour - Living Plane
Paige was in the middle of a daydream when she noticed the pointer on the ouija board moving.
D…E...M...O...N...S...T...R...I...P
"Phoebe!" She called to her sister who was in the kitchen getting a snack ready for Wyatt. "Get in here!"
Phoebe came running into the room, an apple still in her hand. "What's wrong?"
"It's trying to tell us something". Paige wrote down what had been written before it stopped and held the paper up for her sister to see.
"A stripping demon?" Phoebe laughed. Perhaps someone was bored today.
"No, Phoebe … the power stripping potion Andy mentioned. I think we're going to need it soon". Phoebe was seriously very quickly. "We need Piper … and Leo for Wyatt".
Paige nodded. "Let's try the lost sister spell again. Piper may not be a witch right now, but I hope part of her remembers she's a sister".
Phoebe's lips tightened. The last month had been hard on all of them. She couldn't understand how Piper could leave behind her life. None of their spells had worked to find her.
Ghostly Plane
The demon was back from Valhalla and was angrier than ever. Prue was in the middle of moving the pointer to the next word when she heard the floor creak behind her. He was holding an athame.
"Oh, you're so cliché!" Prue grimaced, ducking to miss the tip of the blade. She pushed him up against the wall telekinetically and moved closer towards him.
"I won't give up, witch!" He roared.
"Well, clearly you don't know who you're up against." Prue smirked.
The darklighter orbed in behind her, grabbing her arms.
Her hold on the demon wavered slightly and he began to advance towards her. He plunged the athame but she used all of her strength to turn away from the weapon.
She let out a slight moan as the athame grazed her arm before sinking it's way into the darklighter's stomach behind her. He screamed in pain before disappearing into flame.
Her eyes focused on the demon. With a wave of her hand he was on the ground. She kept him held against the ground using her power and grabbed the athame from his hands.
Without hesitation, the oldest Halliwell looked the demon right in the eyes as she pushed the tip of the athame through his chest and into his heart. Flames consumed him and she let out a sigh of relief.
She looked down at her wound and astral projected back to Valhalla.
Valhalla - Ghostly Plane
Prue appeared on the beach and was pleased to see Andy sitting on a rock nearby.
"Prue!" He let out a sigh of relief before pulling her into a warm embrace. "You're hurt?"
He looked down at her arm. There was a wound that was not too deep, but it still worried him that she was bleeding and stuck on the ghostly plane.
"I'm fine" she shrugged it off, looking up into his crystal blue eyes. "And those guys won't be a problem anymore."
Andy tightened his grip, letting a kiss fall to the top of her head.
"I need you to go get Piper. I just found out she's in Valhalla and you're the only one who can get through the barrier Leo made".
Prue bit her bottom lip.
"She became a Valkyrie to escape" Andy explained. "She's got a lot of pain'.
"I know. I've felt her here a lot lately. She's hurting too much to be herself again". The thought tore at Prue's heart. She couldn't stand watching her sisters in pain.
"They need her back. Just close your eyes and astral to her. I know you can feel each other". Prue nodded and closed her eyes. Andy kissed her forehead and she disappeared into her red astral flash.
Downtown San Francisco - Physical Plane
Piper followed two other Valkyries through an alley way. An officer was standing between a teenaged boy and a grown man who looked very similar to the teen.
"Your brother isn't going to join you" the officer's voice was determined. The man pulled out a gun and shot the officer without any hesitation or remorse. The young teen let out an agonized scream and fell to his knees.
"What's going on down there?" Another officer ran into the alley and noticed the scene. The man ran away and the second officer contemplated what to do.
"Officer down" he ordered into his communication system. He dropped down beside his partner and began performing CPR.
Ghostly Plane
Prue had been following Piper's presence for the past block when a young Police Officer appeared in front of her.
"Who are you?" He asked, looking around at his surroundings.
"My name's Prue" she replied. She still remembered when she was in between life and death. She was so scared and confused. This man seemed just as confused.
Suddenly her balance began to weaken and she fell against the wall to keep herself up.
"Are you okay?" He asked, inching towards her.
"I should be asking you that" she smiled, giving the officer her best smile possible at the moment. "I'm okay." A wave of nausea and pain took over her body and she began to slide down the wall to the ground. The officer reached out for her but disappeared just as quickly as he came.
Physical Plane
The injured officer let out a cough after his partner continued to perform CPR.
"Prue?" he whispered in between coughs. Piper's heart stopped. Had this man seen Prue? If so, Piper truly was feeling her presence. She just still couldn't see her.
One of the Valkyries spoke out. "Come with us". She ordered.
The man's spirit separated from his body. The teen and partner couldn't see his spirit, but eyed the women watching them from the end of the alleyway.
Once his spirit reached them, they turned the corner where they wouldn't be seen and disappeared with the officer in a green flash.
